One area of the owlery is roped off for those people caring for and visiting their owls (or the school owls, if you don't have your own). An open bag of Owl Treats sits near a perch, as well as some talon clippers and a few bowls of water.
Noel Wallace was unhappy. And the only thing he knew he could do whenever he was this unhappy was to complain to his mother.
So he did. He wrote two whole pages and every word in capital letters. If you would ask him he would deny it, of course but he felt tons better after writing the two pages of bitter complains about how unfair the sorting hat had been.
Bright and early, the twelve year old made his way to the Owlery. Finding his owl, the boy quickly tied the letter to it's leg and fed the guy a little before watching it fly away.

Christmas wandered up to the owlery with a letter to send home and saw a young boy watching his own owl flying off and said to him "So sending a letter home are you" Christmas found her owl and whistled her down and tied the letter to her leg and gave her owl a treat and took her owl to the window and let her fly off and she turned and waited for the boy to respond

Noel nodded, when a girl talked to him - his head slightly turning and greeting the girl with a: "Hello"
It might seem silly, didn't it? To be sending a letter so soon.
"Who did you send your letter to?" he generally asked, as he saw his owl disappear from sight.
Christmas at Noel and said "Nice to meet you Noel, I am Christmas Goldman"
"Christmas? Wow. What an odd name," he said. It was. Silly too. Because .. Christmas was .. Christmas, you know. How can anyone be named Christmas? "Are your parents really fond of Christmas?"

"Is that why they named you Christmas?"
Christmas smiled and said "Yeah they are fond of christmas and i was born on christmas eve so that is one of the main reasons behind my name Noel" Christmas thought that this boy was smart

"Ooooh. I see," he nodded, moving back and forth on his toes and heel.
"But do you not find it strange?" he asked. Noel was curious. The sentiment was nice but really?

Deciding to take a break from roaming the ground and basically avoiding people, Bliss wandered through the castle and up to the owlery. Even from the bottom of the stairs, she could hear wings flapping and owls screeching, yet the place still seemed peaceful to her. Inside she knew she'd find her lovely owl, Twitch, who was owed some treats. Twitch, like her, was having a bit of a tough time settling back into life at Hogwats, so needed all the love and attention Bliss could give.
By the door, there was a large packet of owl treats, from which Bliss grabbed a small handful. Time to find her beautiful bird. "Hi, Twitch," she cooed, once she'd spotted and approached the owl. "How're you doing, bby?" she whispered, stroking the top of the bird's head, before feeding her a treat.

Kace decided he wanted to go visit his owl Charlene. He hadn't seen her in a while. He decided to go the owlery and see what she was up to. He made it to the stairs and then noticed he wasn't alone. He saw a girl there feeding her owl. He caught the name and it was Twitch.
Kace decided to go up to her and said, "I guess i am not the only one who decided to visit their owl today huh?"
Bri wanted to visit her beautiful snowy owl, Mystic. When she arrived at the owlery, she spotted Mystic. The young brunette smiled, and as she walked towards Mystic, she grabbed a couple of owl treats. When she reached her owl she started to feed Mystic while petting her. "Hello, Mystic. How are you doing? Making friends with the other owls." Bri whispered to her pet.

It was time to care for her own pets more. This was Leah's aim for this month. The first step, she supposed, was to visit her owl, Horatio in the Owlery.
The way up to the Owlery was soothing and nice, with the cool breeze softly going through her hair. Horatio was easily spotted, with his handsome eyes. He was next to a snowy owl, which clearly was Leah's friend - Bri's. "Horatio! I missed you so much. I've got you a job, but before that I'm going to keep company with you here for a while." Leah squealed, hugging it, realizing that owls are not as cuddly as humans or kneazles.
Then the little girl turned to Bri. "Hi Bri. Breezy, isn't it? So... this is your owl? Mystic? This is Horatio. I guess they're friends," She said, smiling slightly. "Can I have some Owl Treats? I mean, can I give some to Horatio. Not that I'm going to eat it." Just to make it clear. An awkward cough followed.

Charlotte slowly and finally made her way up the staircase that led to the Owlery. It felt as though she had been walking for hours and she was starting to wonder if visiting the owls was even worth it. If she got too bored though, she figured she could always find a reason to send a letter our to her brother or cousins...or parents or anyone else really, anything to make walking all the way up there from the dungeons worth it.
Squinting at a few of the owls, she decided to follow the sound of one that was hooting rather distinctly on the other side of the room. She readjusted her hat a bit to make sure her gray hair was hidden, and began petting the first owl her hand met. Even if there was no one around, she was still embarrassed of looking like an elderly woman. It was a good thing she didn't know very many people. Maybe this way no one would recognize her?

Missing her lovely owl, Lux had decided to come and pay a visit. She tried to see Luna every day or so, though sometimes being busy with school made it harder. Luna was being taken good care of though, Hogwarts would not let anything bad happen to her pet.
It was a little surprising to see that she was not alone for this visit. "Charlotte?" The other girl was not looking too good, and she did not want to risk startling her. Last thing she needed to do was give one of her friends a heart attack.

The longer she stood there, petting the owl, Charlotte began to wonder if there was any way she could get a seeing-eye-owl. That could totally be a thing, couldn't it? All of the owls she knew were friendly so couldn't she just take one all around the castle with her? It could hoot for her and she'd just follow the sounds around. She decided to have a talk with Jun about this later to see if he thought it was a good idea. What else was she supposed to do when he wasn't around to guide her everywhere?
She decided to move on to another owl, making sure to give as many of them as much love as she could since she didn't have an owl of her own, but then she heard that name and froze. WHY WOULD ANYONE CALL HER THAT??? "DON'T CALL ME THA-" She whipped around and stopped her yelling when she saw Lux standing a few feet away from her. Well this was awkward.
"....oh....." Still fairly irritated by that name, she forced a smile on her face because it really was good to see Lux, even if she had called her Charlotte. "Um...hi...sorry. Just uh...don'tcallmethatokay?

When Charlotte Charlie started yelling, Lux froze... but she had stopped a moment later. Maybe it was because the other girl's hearing was so bad or something. Poor Charlotte Charlie. "I'm sorry. I won't do that again." Yelling was not something she particularly enjoyed. [s]"So how are you doing?"[/b]
Spotting Luna among the other owls, Lux bent over to pet her affectionately before reaching out to get some owl treats.

Breathing heavily and exhausted from climbing the stairs to get up to the Owlery, Sander leaned agains the wall to catch his breath before walking over to where his barn owl, Asgard, would be arriving. He had asked his mother to get something for him and he was now waiting for it to arrive.
Sander squinted in the distance but couldn't see anything. Was it going to be today that Asgard would be arriving or had his bird been delayed? Sander hoped not. He had something he wanted to do and he couldn't do it if the package didn't arrive. Sander looked out the window again and almost had a face to owl encounter with Asgard, as the bird came flying in from the east...not in front, like Sander thought it would.
"Hi Asgard, you made good time. Here's some pellets for you," Sander whispered to his family friend as removed the package from Asgard's beak, while allowing the Barn Owl to rest on his upraised arm. Sander placed the package inside his jacket pocket before turning to feed Asgard and and waited patiently for Asgard to eat his fill, before walking over to place him on a stand next to his cage.
"Okay Asgard, let's see what mother has picked out for me," Sander whispered to his bird as he slipped his hand into his pocket, pulled out the package and unwrapped it to reveal a tiny box. Sander slowly opened it and looked inside. It was exactly what he had hoped for. His mother had picked a very beautiful one. Sander prayed that Tessa would do.
Stroking Asgard as he showed the contents of the box to the barn owl, Sander whispered a question to it, "Do you think she'll like it, Asgard? I really hope she does," before closing the box shut and slipping it back into his pocket.
"You did great, Asgard. It's time for you to rest now. I'll come back and see you tomorrow," Sander stroked his bird one more time, before turning and making his way back downstairs.
She wasn't here to visit her owl. In fact, her owl was probably a hundred miles away, but that was okay. What if Mori's owl eyes saw what she was intending to do and somehow gave word to her dad and...no. Good thing she'd sent him off.
Looking into a compact mirror she'd borrowed from Silver, Beverly ran a finger down her now-smooth cheek. She'd used the charms Fuller had taught. It wasn't her glorious appearance, but it was better than it was nowadays.
Tucking the mirror into her pocket she crossed her fingers and hoped he'd gotten her Owl and agreed to meet her.

OH MY MERLIN.
Why were there so many steps!? He was in shape of course so it didnt bother him, there was just a LOT in this school, in fact thats probably why he was in good shape lately, the steps and quidditch but that was more of a panic attack then a work out. He had received a letter from Beverly asking him to meet her here of all places which he thought was a bit odd, it was just so.... secluded. Not that he cared because people gave the Gryffindor social anxiety enough as it was and he was totally okay with goong off to closed places to talk. Maybe she finished that book he had lent her and she was so distraught over the ending that she didnt want to show her feelings in public and that was obviously what this was about.
Turning into the doorway to the Owlery he grinned seeing her, "theres a lot of steps coming up here you know." he told her the obvious cause there were alot. "got your note, hi"

Lets talk that book!
He was here. ACTUALLY HERE.
Beverly had to remind herself to breathe. It was okay. Just a small favor she was going to ask him for and that was it. End of business. Turning around, she tucked her hair behind her ear and did her best to seem relaxed. Cool.
"Yeah, it can be tiring," she laughed weakly. Cool wasn't working. "Um, hi...well...I asked you here for a favor." He already knew that given she'd written that on the note she'd sent him.
Where was bravery when she needed it the most? This was literally life and/or death situation.
Beverly decided to just plunge into it, clasping her hands tightly in front of her. It was now or NEVER. "As you can see a lot of students are aging fast and I'm one of them if you haven't noticed and I might die and...I don't want to go without experiencing some...stuff."
She only stopped there because she ran out of oxygen, her lungs weren't as durable as they once were. While she caught her breath, she watched for any reaction from Jeremiah.

Running a hand through his hair, mostly to get it out of his face, he gave her a friendly grin. "seems you got up here just fine though." she did, for someone who was suffering from that horrid old!spell that he was LUCKY to be spared from. he was practically the youngest ,and best lookin, in the school. nott hat he would brag about or anything but it was a fact that he observed and kept to himself.
Yes, a favor, right, she had said that in the little letter yeah? Maybe she wanted another book? Should he of brought some with him?! He wasnt sure. If anything he'd go back down the stairs and through the castle and UP more stairs to get some for her. she didnt need to do all that walking and stuff.
Just as that thought ranthrough his mind Beverly mentioned the word DIE and Jeremiah had to just blink at her....
What!?
"Beverly, you're not going to die." no she wasnt they were going to figure this out, the adults were, and if they wouldnt he would! He wasnt having his friends drop like flies around him, that was not an option for this Lion."plus, i say you're looking younger and younger each time i see you." he said with a grin moving out of the doorway and taking a step or so closer to her in the middle oft he room. He also ignored that last bit cause he refused to believe she was near death.

Actually, no. She'd been here close to over an hour and a half so she wouldn't look like an orca out of water, but he didn't need to know that. It was already embarrassing enough what she was about to ask of him...
...Though he didn't seem to get it.
He was an optimist while she was realistic. And reality was you grow old until you die. It was life and unfortunately it took Beverly being close to...that to understand. Although, she wasn't THAT sad, she was more put off than anything that she couldn't do things teenagers did. Hopefully she'd at least get ONE thing crossed off the Bucket List.
And Jeremiah was being sweet. Like always. Could they just skip and do the Do?
"It's just magic," she said, motioning her face with a wave of her finger. "Lets face it, there's no cure," she raised her hands in case he wanted to interrupt and added, "there might be one, but I don't think many of us can wait for it."
It was really now or NEVER. REALLY. She was loosing her nerve. If she stalled more she'd just end up making a dumb excuse about owl droppings and dash for the exit.
Straightening to her full height, she squared her shoulders. "Jeremiah I'd like you to kiss me so I won't go like a total loser," she spat out quickly. OH GODS. SHE DID IT.
