Kace shrugged. "It was alright. I mean i got really in shape. My muscles are strong and they don't hurt as bad as they used to." he joked with Adi. Then he asked how was Football and Kace nodded and said, "It was all good. I got a lot of bruises the first week because the old guys pick on the new kids. But i was tough and showed them what i was made of." Yeah the coaches pick on the new kids the most because they were the meat. But he would soon not get picked on because it would be his third year and people knew him there.

"OH right Dylan!" he said remembering his name. "That is cool he taught you all you needed to know and it is cool you have a tutor to help. Was it expensive?" he asked him.

When Adi said he had the best summer, he smirked and shook his head. "N'awww i didn't. It was alright." but he couldn't get the grin off his face. "Oh the cruise was really cool. Like i got to do things i never did like scuba diving and snorkeling. I also swam with the dolphins. My sister was jealous but it was fine. And between you and me...i met a girl there i really liked but she couldn't compare to Marigold..." he said quietly. "And it took about 2 days at sea to get there and then we spent 5 days there." he said. It was a nice long vacation he needed.

He shook his head when he mentioned her. "No i haven't seen her yet. But i am sure she will find us." he assured his friend.

Tessa relaxed when it seemed that the girl wasn't trying to get past. "Glad to hear, I've been bumped a few too many times- I figured I'll just do the dodging from now on," she joked.

She shook her head. "I don't think I do- thank you though," she told the girl with a smile. "I'm Tessa," she introduced.

It wasn't hard to spot the troublemakers right out of the gate. Not that Mo was concerned, since he was relegated to the Quidditch bit of house leadership, but he could SEE the troublemakers. He knew them.... and he just let them pass for the most part. Like this one here, just eying everything like he was about to crawl up the walls in search of some mischief.

And Mo was fully prepared to let him do it. Mmhmm.

"Have you seen the trolley?" He gave the boy a glancing smile as he passed. "I don't know if it's ever out this early, but I'm just famished... I'm Mo, by the way. Ravenclaw."

GOSH. GOSH.

RUSHING around (when it wasn't by choice) really could just be very unfun, right? Tobias was pretty good when it came to being active, and never staying still, but bOY. Today had been exhausting, and it hadn't even really begun. Maybe the problem lay with the fact that it wasn't always the wisest choice to leave your packing until the day you left... but maybe not.

Still, he could handle it, and once Toby's trunk was stowed away he made down the train corridor, hoping to find a free compartment or a friend. One problem, however, was that his overstuffed backpack was making him top-heavy slightly clumsy (Tobias was starting to realise he was much more agile and graceful when he was on a broom). Bludger, his pet cat, was also going out of his way to make his life difficult.

It was as the soot black feline dived for one of Toby's laces that it happened; Tobias' right foot caught on his left while trying to avoid said cat, and he over balanced, instantly toppling to the floor with a surprisingly soft 'WHUMPH'. His first thought was Bludger, and was the cat alright?

It soon became apparent, however, that Bludger was a-okay, and made this known by climbing up and perching onto the back of Toby's backpack, as Toby himself lay face down on the train corridor floor.

Defeated.

West was heading to the luggage car for two reasons, one being to get his uniform to change into it and all that, and the other was to see if his new guitar was alright, and if it was lonely then maybe play it for a bit.

And also a bit because as much as it was nice to ride in the Prefects Compartment legitimately and whatever, West was a social kind of person and most of his friends weren't in there so he had reason to wander. After getting changed and whatever anyways.

So he was on his way to the luggage car. The tall Slytherin didn't even bother dodging people anymore, they could dodge around him. He'd earned it by not dying every single term up until now. It was like the right of the upperclassman.

So Marhmallow had woken up and found herself on a train and doing what she always did when she was faced with unfamiliar surroundings, started to explore. Unfortunately, that meant that it left Hayley kind of running in between people as she chased after the fluffy white cat.

It also meant that she was hardly looking at where she was going and had barely scooped up the fluffy white thing when she crashed into a rather tall person. Oh, no.

Hayley's eyes widened as she backed up and quite nearly tripped over someone else's foot and realized that it wasn't just a tall!person. It was a particularly tall boy!person. And he had a shiny badge. "I'm so sorry, mister," she squeaked, not sure whether to look at her cat or at him. "I just.. cat."

Was he going to punish her for not looking at where she was going? Could they do that? It was a scary thought, yes it was.

Looking around nervously, Leah did not realize that a burly boy walking towards her and not bothering to move at all. This ended up with the little girl walking head-first into the boy and falling backwards. "Owww, sorry." She apologised, standing up with a frown on her face.

Several things happened at once. Or rather two tiny people happened at once.

Like one second he was just walking and the next there were collisions and it was as if someone had decided to play chuck the first year and he was the target. Dodgefirstie. And a cat.

HOW did they not see him though? He could touch the CEILING and everything! West reached up to do exactly that as if to check... and yeah he could.

"Uh.... its fine."

And he didn't get too squished or anything. He did rub his stomach where a stray elbow had hit, though he wasn't sure which of the four elbows from the two girls it had been.

"You guys okay? You should sit somewhere soon, because the faster the train goes the more it gets all shaky in here and yeah, trust me, it sends you flying." He'd been little once too okay? Yeah.


Also, cat. Yeah he could see that.

Trying to carry around a teeny tiny ocelot on your head was not easy. His little paws kept covering up her eyes, and Alice had already managed to slam into a compartment door or two on her way down the corridor. She was just about to give up and claw him off her hair when she succeeded in adding to her list of klutzy accomplishments by tripping over a kid on the floor.

... why was there a kid on the floor, even? This was clearly HIS fault.

"That's not a bed, you know." Just saying. She gave him a look from where she'd landed on the ground, simultaneously attempting to subdue the angry hisses coming from the cat on her noggin with insistent tail pats. Down, kitty. It was just a Hufflepuff.

Lana rubbed her shoulder as she attempted to navigate the corridor. Apparently, she had been a bit to overzealous in storing her luggage and now she was paying for it in a tender shoulder. It was rather more annoying than anything else at the moment and she didn't want to add colliding into people atop that. It was fairly early but one could never be too careful when in the corridor.

Walking down the corridor, she glanced into compartments looking for an empty one. At the moment, she really did want to just sit down and take a moment. She was still a bit winded with running through the station and a part of her wanted to change out of the trainers. They really didn't go all that well with her outfit and it was far more easier to just change her shoes than her whole outfit. Besides, she had a lot of time before she would have to change into her robes.

Keeping her bag close to her, she continued on her way. There had to be an empty compartment somewhere.

Hayley's nose hurt. Yes, she meant nose. Not to mention the fact that this scary tall boy!person had a particularly hard chest. It HURT HER NOSE. What if it was broken? Maybe she was just being overdramatic. Yeah, maybe it was that. She had a tendency to do that. Over-dramaticize things.

It really just wasn't her fault.

"I'm still so so so sorry, though," she said. Now she was getting repetitive. "Wait, you mean it gets WORSE?" Hayley started looking desperately for a compartment that would fit her and a cat with her. If it got worse, she was definitely not going to be standing in the corridor any longer. SHE DIDN'T WANT TO DIE or crash into more scary people with badges.

HELP?

WAS SOMEONE KICKING HI- oh.

Oops.

The sudden jolt to his body as someone apparently tripped over the young Hufflepuff caused Bludger to leap back down again, apparently deciding that such things were not worth his time. As the black cat slunk out of sight, probably to terrorise some poor first year, Tobias shifted so he was sat on his part of floor. Almost immediately, the heavy backpack did the thing and kind of dragged him into a weird reclining position.

But Toby acted natural, the height of cool.

"I'm really s-" he started to apologise, looking to the girl who had joined his floor party. But Tobias didn't even have time to recognise her as the Gryffindor Quidditch captain before he gasped dramatically. "It's so beautiful..."

He was, of course, referring to the cat-type-creature, and not the girl.

Though he was sure she was very nice too.

Not that she minded. Alice wasn't one to thrive much off compliments unless they were from certain people anyway, and she was fairly sure that her pet was better looking than her. "Uh, thanks." Of course, the hisses coming from the top of her head must have meant thank you too.

She tried to look up at the disgruntled Atole on her hair, but the Gryffindor ended up almost knocking him off. Okay then. Bad idea.

"Don't you have some Puffer friend to be chatting up in a compartment instead of lying in a corridor?" Just wondering.

Wasn't there a prefect around for this sort of thing? Wasn't that what they were supposed to prevent? This was not Quidditch! West did not know the things! Like how to extract self from a first year pile up when in days past he would've been a joyful participant himself. And making sure they got seats? He wasn't gonna do that part. Nope. They could. That one girl was being quiet so he turned his attention to the cat one.

"Well yeah. Its an old train. Rickety." Nod. "Compartments are better anyways, more comfy. You just go in one and sit." No big deal. "Even if there are people there." He added that part helpfully.

So... she was okay right? They were fine? West could go on his way?

Didn’t she say she hated crowds?

Yes she did. But you know what she hated more? Narrow corridors with crowds.

But worse of all is trying to find the ONE place that offers food that wouldn’t turn her diabetic. Or at least she would hope it had food that didn’t have sugar as its primary component.

*bump*

She ran into someone. And it stopped her in her tracks. Greatttt.

One minute things were fine. Not great. Not fantastic. Just fine. She saw an opening to freedom and was about to take it when someone bumped into her. It wasn't a hard bump but she was eleven and rather small and the train was already rocking and being bumped into did nothing for her balance.

Hope scowled and caught Poppy as he went falling of her shoulder. This was the second time she had been bumped into. Albeit, the first time was more or less her fault, she still firmly believed that the older girl should have focused more attention on people coming at her. This time, however, she was determined to get an apology.

She turned and looked to see who bumped into her and tried her best not to cause trouble by trying to take the bite out of her words. Her mothers advice, be nice, ran through her head. "Two words. Excuse me. I feel like people don't know how to use them these days." Being nice didn't work it seemed. She was being unreasonable to an extent but she didn't really care. Hot headed and fast to point blame.

She placed the pygmy puff back on her shoulder and looked up at the older girl. She didn't like being around people, but she had started to see it as an inevitable kind of thing at this point.

Tobias could only really beam in response to that. Of course he did. He was Tobias Tempus. When DIDN'T he smile/beam/grin? He kind of couldn't really keep his eyes off the super pretty cat, either. Wow. Just wow. Look at th- wow.

"Hmmm?" the Hufflepuff responded, realising he was being spoken to. It took a moment, but Tobias soon tuned back in. "Oh... I was just..." What was he doing? Other than staring at a cat. "Looking for a compartment, but my cat tripped me." Whether or not the 'chatting up' comment meant anything to him at all didn't show one jot, as he just smiled even more (despite realising that his best 'Puffer friend' would not be on this train ride).

Instead of wasting time chillin' on the floor, Tobias shed his backpack and shifted to his knees, sifting through it to find something. "My backpack's super heavy, so I fell harder, which is why I was on the floor, see?" he explained cheerfully, as though the girl was interested. "I just... need to... take out..."

And with that, Tobias gave a great tug and his most prized possession was freed from the backpack of doom. A pogo stick.

Undetectable extension charms; his grandmother was a pro.

As though this was totally normal, Tobias beamed at the other girl once again, and clambered back to his feet. He held out his hand too, because it was polite to offer to help people up, rIGHT?

Well, Hayley knew the train was old. He didn't have to be as obvious as she was, did he? He probably did. She probably looked confused, but she was confused so looking that way was totally acceptable. Old train. Rickety. Got it.

Hayley nodded. She got that much.

"Right," she said, not quite daring to put Marshmallow down just yet. "I'll just go. Thank you, mister!" AND SHE WAS OFF. No more scary tall!person who probably thought she was a bit slow on the uptake.

There was talking. It took Huxley a few seconds to realize that she had to tilt her head lower, usually everybody around her were taller. Not that that height intimidated her at all, oh no, the taller the person, the more convenient it was for her actually

But yes theres a little one giving her the lip. The brown eyed girl angled her brow and said “Well clearly you know how to use them. Very good. Bravo!” Cue the mock clapping “And yes, you are excused.” She added with a get-out-of-my-way wave of her hand.

What? Huxley moves for no one. As far as she’s concerned, this little one was in her way.

What was with everyone these days, thinking they could talk to her that way. Didn't they realize that she was special? That she wasn't just some average nobody? Hope crossed her arms and glared at the older girl. "Last I checked you bumped into me. I shouldn't have to give you a lecture on how to treat people. You're how old?"

That was another thing. Why was it that every older person she met seemed to think she was the one in need of a lesson. "And I don't appreciate the rude hand gestures when you were the one that bumped into me." If anything Hope should be shoeing the older girl away. She scowled and tried to hold back her next words, but failed miserably. "I really think you should apologize for two things now. Being rude and bumping into me and being rude by thinking I'm going to be okay with being dismissed with a wave of your hand. You don't have a tiara on your head. You're not some princesses." She was puffing up and getting frustrated.

This is why she didn't like people. They always brought out the worst in her. Great, that was two people now that she had to fight with over who was right and who was wrong. Was this going to be her life now? Constantly arguing with people...it was going to drive her insane.

Oh well now little lippy one was still going at it. And not getting out of her way. With the roll of her eyes and an exaggerated exasperated sigh, Huxley replied “Old enough to know and see who did the bumping.” She was taller after all, birds eye view and all that. “And I don’t know if you can see the absurdity of what you said—but at your age, you are not qualified in any way to give lectures.” Huxley was one such person, in her most righteous opinion, but then this wasn’t the time or place to wax poetic about her qualifications.

Was she done? Oh no she was just getting started. You just had to get her talking didn’t you little one “It is also clear that you have no knowledge whatsoever of what constitutes a rude hand gesture, obviously because of your age but also in all likelyhood, your social standing.....” Because this was nowhere near rude, and Huxley wasn’t about to share the rather delightful list of gestures she knows that runs the length of her arm. “So there is nothing for me to apologize about. There is however the irrefutable fact of our age difference and your attitude. If anything you should be apologizing to me. If I was to waste time and resources taking up a mind-numbing, ceremonial position that requires a trinket on my head you not only need to apologize, you would also need to bow low on the ground and grovel at my feet.” Smile. “Given that I am not one to pine for a position that holds no real power consider yourself lucky and I will merely settle for your most heartfelt apology.” Pause “And a chicken sandwhich at the Trolley.”

What? All these talking and delay has gotten her really hungry.

Searching....searching.. why was there no openings. This train was quickly becoming dull. He wasn't even paying attention to the other kids that passed they were all talking loudly and having fun it seemed, but what fun really were they having. They were on a train going to school. He figured he'd see more upset that summers over faces.

Browns eyes looked down from the ceiling when he heard someone ask a question that seemed to be directed to him or at least someone close by him. He pointed at himself to make sure the older boy was speaking directly to him and yes it seemed he was. "Trolley?" He looked around, "Nope haven't seen one." He couldn't help but admit food sounded good already though.

"Ravenclaw?" Now this perked his interest. That smart girl Alexa had told him Ravenclaw's might be good to do homework for him. Hmm would this be one of them? Possibly he would have to look more into this, but the kid was older so maybe he would be all high and mighty about it. So Bart decided to just do baby steps for now. "Bart and ah nothing at the moment." Did people really always say their houses like it was the big thing or something?

"So food where do we get this trolley at?" because that should be priority right at the moment.

Adi laughed. "So you're building muscles, eh? To impress Marigold?'' Help him out there, Kace. Adi needed confirmation on his suspicions. "What about soccer? Did you score lots of goals?'' And that was Kace for you! Not afraid to stand up to people. Way to go, Kace!

Scuba diving and snorkeling. Adi glance at Kace in envy. "Weren't you afraid or being eaten by sharks or something?'' Or that something unknown in the water might be after him? "I'm afraid of oceans so you won't ever catch me scuba diving or snorkeling,'' the second year whispered. His friend won't tell anyone right? But dolphins were cool! "Awesome! How many dolphins?'' It was now Adi's turn to smirk at the mention of the girl. And Marigold. There was the confirmation he needed! "I knew it! You're crushing on Marigold!'' Adi made a face. "Should I be happy or feel sorry for you?'' What was he blabbering about anyway? He had a crush on Sophie.

"I'm sure she will. She must be on the look out for you.'' Adi sniggered.

People people everywhere.. Sarah loved people and she could just stand in the corridor forever watching people.. All those ickle firsties...
Sarah felt a nudge... some younger kid had been trying to get past and nudged her in the lower back... It was great not to be shortest person around anymore.
"Next time... perhaps ask that someone moves... its hard to know what you want from a jab" Sarah said with smile, "because there are some people here that don't respond well to jabs" Just warning you... we don't want you to get hurt.

Just letting the kid know. Sarah moved aside meanwhile and pressed herself against the side. Her eyes searched through the masses for someone. Someone like Alexa, she knew she would catch that girl out here. Once she found that girl.. Sarah would find a car

Kace smirked when he asked if his muscles will impress Marigold. "Naww i am not trying to impress her." He shrugged and then changed the topic. Then Adi asked about soccer and he smiled. "I did score like two goals. I was an offense but i let the star player sometimes score. He was faster than me."

Then the scuba diving topic. He smirked at his questions and chuckled. "Well i didn't see any sharks but i saw lots of fish like barracudas and clown fish." he nodded. He didn't judge him by his fear. Everyone is afraid of something. If you weren't then you would be a superhero. Then Kace would have to ask questions.

Kace grinned and blushed. "It was the obvious huh? and you should feel happy for me!" he said. Oh and now he had a crush on Sophie? Interesting. "Well at least i am not the only one with a crush." he said elbowing him.
