The Weasley Swamp
 

Bay since he got here wanted to see this place… walking up the corridor he saw it.. man how cool is this thing.. he thought.. bending down to get a better look at it he almost lost his footing and fell backwards.. "ouch" he said out loud while landing on his rear.

Ana had gotten lost again. No surprise there. She'd only just worked out how to get to classes and her common room let alone anywhere else in the castle. Luckily it seemed like she'd be finishing her education here so she'd have a few years yet to work out where everything was. Which is how she wound up in a portable swamp.

YUCK!!

Ana was about to turn around and go back the way she came, obviously this wasn't the way to where she wanted to go when she spotted a face she hadn't seen in ages. She was going to call out to Bay when he slipped and fell. Not the most graceful person then. She also couldn't help but laugh at his predicament, although she did try to stifle it as she made her way over him. "Do you want some help getting up?" she asked, holding out her hand to the boy. He better not pull her down with him though.

Sitting there on his rump he started to laugh out loud.. he thought he was alone… but someone was asking him if he wanted help getting up.. He looked over his shoulder and saw ANA!!! he was so happy to see her.. its been like forever.. "Ana!! yes please… I think I got to close to this thing" he said pointing at it then sticking out his hand for her to help him up..

"I hurt my bottom…." he added but quickly he realized that she might not want to know that… face started to redden..

"Bay!!" Ana exclaimed, just as excited as he had sounded upon seeing her. It had been too long since they'd actually spoken. Especially when you considered the fact that they had mutual friends. But she'd been spending more time with Terry who wasn't friends with her friends, and also OWL preparations were beginning to take up more of her time. "You probably did," she said with a nod, grasping his hand and pulling Bay to his feet.

Hurt his bottom? She wasn't really surprised he'd taken quite a fall. "Does your tailbone hurt as well, or just your bottom?" she asked seriously. If his tailbone hurt that might be a problem. If it was just his bum then it would likely just bruise, if that.

"Yeah remind me next time not to get to close" he said with a smile.. which grabbing her hand and getting up to his feet.

His hands went to his rear to check out the situation… "Errrr I think its just my bottom.. tailbone seems fine" he said while adding "excuse me" while he started to shake his bottom to double make sure nothing was wrong..

Dusting himself off.. "Thanks for the help.. look at this thing… totally cool though right… could do with out the smell but awesome none the less" he laughed while putting his hand over his face like a mast. He looked at her and smiled "how have you been… its been way to long…" they needed to hang out way more… Ana was one of the best people he's ever met.

"I'm hoping there wont be a next time," she told him, letting go of his hand as soon as he was standing up and she considered him to be steady on his feet. No more slipping Mr Bay.

"You're welcome. I suppose it's lucky I got lost, otherwise I wouldn't have been here to help," her lack of direction inside had actually come in useful for once. First time for everything she supposed. Probably wouldn't happen again. Ana averted her eyes as he shook his tail thing, she didn't need to see it, and instead looked around at the swamp.

As Bay indicated at what he'd been looking at Ana leaned over slightly, making sure not to lose her footing like Bay had, and wrinkling her nose at the smell. Not all that great. "It's not that impressive, and the smell is no worse than the real thing. Believe me I've spent more time in swamps in my lifetime than I ever wanted too," all because of her parents. She tended to avoid going to swampy places whenever she could. Therefore she'd be avoiding this area of the castle as much as she could. "I know it has. I've been good. Mainly studying for OWLs and hanging out with some other friends like Lux and Terry, who's in my house," she replied with a shrug, turning away from the swamp to look back at Bay.

"What about you? Anything new or interesting?"

Bay laughed.. "yeah I hope so too."…. he looked at her when she said she was lost.. "ohh you got lost??" he asked her.. Bay has pretty much figured out everywhere by now… well he hoped so. Still covering his face…. "I wonder why.. they left it here?? and wait.. why have you been in swamps?" he was always learning more and more about Ana.. her awesome foods…the language…now she had spent time in swamps.. man what couldn't this girl do..

Bay listened as she was explaining that she was studying a lot of her OWL's.. "oh yeah.. between studying for OWL's I have Quidditch… I'm always busy and tired… just look at this hair!" he pointed towards his grey hair.. "its like study…eat…Qudditch…sleep.. and repeat" he told her.. wait did she say Lux.. "Lux is like my best friend… but i have to confirm that I haven't seen her in a few days.. I'm glad you guys have met… and I've heard of Terry… but we've never met.. maybe when we both have a break we can all hang out??" he hoped she would say yes.. more time with Ana would be awesome.

"I'm no good when indoors at finding my direction. It doesn't help that lately I've actually been forgetting where I'm trying to go. Must be all the studying taking up room in my brain," she said with a small shrug as she listened to him. "Because of my parents. When my dad was still here he was a Herbologist, and so's my mum, while my step fathers a Magizoologist. So I've spent time in swamps while they've been looking for plants or creatures. It isn't the worst experience ever but certainly not the most enjoyable," Ana explained to Bay, giving him a small smile as she did so.

"You're on the Quidditch team? I'll have to cheer for you when you play. Unless you're playing Slytherin of course, because then I'll be going for my own house," but if he was playing against any other team there wouldn't be a conflict of interest so she could totally cheer for him. "I know what you mean about the grey hair though, I have it too," she lamented, pointing at her own locks. She really did need to buy some hair dye at some point soon.

"I do. Lux is the most adorable person ever. I've never met someone so in love with Hobbits before! Although I probably went overboard in feeding that obsession with her Christmas presents..." she mused. But then she knew that the younger girl would like them and so hadn't been able to resist. "She's also quite good at learning languages. We've had some impromptu Russian lessons so she knows a few words already," her pride in the younger girl was evident as she spoke and her face took on a fond expression. "Maybe we can. Terry is awesome, I'm sure you'd like him. Also he bakes," which was a plus in her book, probably Bay's as well. "Tessa will have to come along too, it's been ages since I saw her last," which was a pity.

"yeah i know that all too well" picking up his bag from the ground and slinging it over his shoulder.. "wow… thats crazy… whats like the creepiest thing you've found in a swamp??" did he want to know the answer.. Bay was easily scared but he would put on a brave face.

"yup…and awesome… thats totally nice of you" he said… "our first match is coming up..i can't remember who were playing but were training very hard" he told her.

Bay picked up her grey locks and rubbed them in his hand.. "yeah..like the Professors need to fix this.. I have cream for my wrinkles from Potions class but my hair!! its so bad for my image." he confessed.

YAY they were talking about Lux.. "i've heard her use a few words.. she's one smart cookie.." awesome they are going to hang out more Bay smiled.. "he does seem like a nice guy..and of course we will bring Tessa… Sander will come along too because he's her boyfriend and all that jazz now" he laughed.. while getting a big waft of sink going across his face.

"Well, when we were in South America my sister Katya was almost drowned by an Anaconda. So probably an Anaconda," Ana answered after considering the question. Katya had only been eight at the time and had wandered off on her own, she was lucky in that they all heard her scream, and the snake hadn't gotten around her torso yet, just around her leg. Luckily her step-dad had been able to take control of the situation and get the snake off. It was definitely one of the scariest things she'd witnessed.

"We're friends. It's practically a social convention," Ana returned, giving him a smile for his compliment nonetheless. So many people had been calling her nice recently that it was a little bit strange. Although she supposed she was actually trying to make friends this time around instead of simply being anti-social so that it would hurt less when she didn't come back.

Ana couldn't help but let out a snort of laughter when Bay said the hair was bad for his image. "What image are you going for? I didn't really have many wrinkles but the cream is handy," Ana agreed, wondering why Bay was touching her hair but not saying anything about it. As long as he let go before it got weird she was fine with it.

"She is. Very smart indeed. Sweet too," Ana was glad that Bay seemed to like Lux as much as Lux liked him. The little girl had spoken highly of him last time they'd seen each other and Ana was glad that her admiration was returned. "Sander? I think I met him at the Dance Lesson?" Ana said, more to herself than Bay. "Well, I suppose significant others are a must invite, besides, it's always nice to meet more people."
