In all honesty, Lux would rather have Bay carry her, but she nodded all the same. It was not a time for her to be picky, and Sander was taller and older than Bay; meaning that he was probably stronger. Even if she was not incredibly heavy, she remembered that Bay had some difficulty in giving her the piggy back ride earlier on in the Term. As patiently as possible, she waited for her friend to pick her up.

Sander suspected that Lux would rather have Bay carry her so he gave her a quizzing look before slowly bending down to place his arms under her legs before slowly lifting up. His back and arms immediately began to protest at the extra weight he was now carrying but Sander bit the bullet and ignored his aching muscles.

"Okay tell me if I'm hurting you, Lux." Sander told Lux before looking around the kitchen. He didn't even know why he had volunteered to take Lux to the hospital wing. He didn't even know where it was located....and even if he did, he totally didn't know now.

"Um Lux....could you direct me to the hospital wing?" Sander reluctantly asked his younger friend.

Wincing slightly, Lux let Sander pick her up, and tried to get as comfortable as possible without hurting her wrists more. "It's on the Third Floor, I think." She had never been there before, but she was sure that she had heard it was there or had seen it... or well, honestly she couldn't remember at the moment and she was not being fussy about details. "Thank you, Sander." She gave a weak smile. Even though it was her wrists that hurt and not her legs or feet, she appreciated him carrying her. Too bad it wasn't Bay though.

Sander could hear Lux wince when he began carrying her. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to carry her after all. But he figured it was the fastest way to get her to the healer. So until he got her there, he would carry her.

"You don't have to thank me, Cucumber. You are my little sister. I would do anything for you, you know that." Sander tilted his head to look down at Lux. He felt so helpless not being able to ease her pain. He wished he could do more than just carry her.

Sighing sadly to himself, he made his way out of the kitchen and headed towards the staircases and the Hospital Wing.

Kace was still coming off the day dream effects. He blinked his eyes to get them back to normal lighting. Then he heard he was under a charm from class? He gave him a quizzical look. "Wait....this spell i was under was for a homework assignment. That is...cool." he said laughing and was glad to be a part of it.

"Now mate, do i do the same thing to you?" he asked him curiously.

Okay, they were doing this.

Ella smiled at the younger girl before wandering over to the fridge in search of butter and eggs. The latter were relatively easy to locate due to the elves' organizational skills, no doubt. It was the butter that took her some time to find. Bending a bit with a wince, the blonde moved several items around in the fridge before finally pulling it out. She then backed out of the fridge and shut the door with her hip OUCH! before bringing both items back to the counter.

What's next? "Can you find the salt and baking soda? I'll grab vanilla and chocolate chips." They already had the flour so that wasn't an issue. Just a few more ingredients and they could get started.

Josette just happened to notice Ella seem to be a little bit in pain, or so she thought. She couldn't help but ask the older girl, "Are you alright?" Concern almost beginning to take over the little first years' brain. But judging by how Ella was now asking her to find more ingredients, perhaps she was alright? Josette nodded her head repeating the older girl, "Salt..And Baking soda.." She turned as she headed back towards the first cabinet she had found the brown sugar in.

Once again grabbing onto the counter, she slowly knelt down (trying to ignore the sound of her cracking knees) as her blue eyes began to search through the cabinet of different baking stuff. Thankfully she found the salt very quickly seeing as to how it was RIGHT in front of her face. Although, this baking soda did take her a bit longer, but somehow she'd managed to find it. With what strength she could muster, the first year stood up straight again (hearing her back crack this tiem) & made her way back to the table once more wondering if Ella had found her baking supplies.

She was fine, just in a bit of pain. And really, Ella wished she knew what was going on because this creaky bones and greying hair stuff was not fun. Not even a little. How was she meant to play Quidditch like this? That thought was weighing heavy on her mind but she pushed it aside and smiled at the younger girl. "I'm just a bit sore, is all. Been running around too much or something. No worries."

Vanilla had been easy to find because Ella had used it not too long ago when making waffles. The blonde set it with the other ingredients and then went back for the chocolate chips, the thing she'd been trying to grab when she spotted Josie earlier. Instead of hopping up on the counter like she'd normally do, the Head Girl pulled out her wand and summoned them. Then those were placed beside the other ingredients and they were ready to go. Grin!

After quickly heading to the oven and setting it to the correct temperature, the blonde eyed the younger girl thoughtfully. "We'll need a large bowl, some measuring spoons, and some measuring cups." Nod.nod. "Maybe a wooden spoon too for mixing." Though they could probably just use the spoon and bowl she'd been working with before now that it was clean. "And then we can measure out 3/4 cup of each kind of sugar and 1 cup of butter." Mhm. Those were going in the bowl.

"I'll grab the measure cups and spoons! Be right back!" And she slowly made her way to where they were stored. It took her several minutes but she eventually returned with them and set them down.

"You want to measure out the sugars?"

Josette did calm down a bit when Ella had told her that she was just from running. Did that really happen? Hmm...she didn't know, she'd never felt sore from running around before. The only soreness she ever really felt was from flying around during Quidditch practice, well that and her body from taking a nap per say after class. All in all, her body was just mainly more so tired than anything. But nonetheless, she didn't panic after Ella's confirmation of saying she was alright.

Watching her as she headed towards the oven to turn it on, Josette listened as the older girl was telling her what else they'd need. A large bowl & wooden spoon? Wasn't she just using one earlier, OH RIGHT SHE WAS! Josette then gasped as she pointed eagerly, "Can-Can we use the spoon & bowl I was using?" They could be used right? Especially now that they'd been cleaned from when Josette was attempting to bake her cake, right?

Measure the sugar? She could do that! Josette smiled a bit before nodding, "I can try.." Struggling for a few moments to open up the bag of brown sugar, she suddenly froze forgetting how much she was supposed to add. She'd grabbed onto the 3/4 cup that Ella had brought for them and then held it up to quickly ask, "This much right?" She really didn't want to add too much sugar, that'd be like some sort of sugar overload!

With a flowery apron covering his robes and his sleeves rolled up Leobald Kitridge stood in the quiet, deserted school kitchens on a Sunday afternoon some hours after lunch and picked out ingredients from the cabinets to bake some cookies.

Grabbing a bowl the librarian got to work with making the cookie mixture. He wanted something practical to busy his hands with after the scare he had gotten the other day.

Baking might be just what he needed to sort out his running thoughts.

Why would a man visit the kitchens? To EAT, of course! And Cosgrach was going to do that, exactly. Eat everything whatever the elves could offer. He had eaten lunch alright, but that had been digested on the spot, so he came for more in the afternoon.

"HELLO, elves!" he roared in high spirits as he emerged from the portrait, "what have you got--Leo!"

...

"Leo?"

Was he... baking? Did he even know how to bake?!

Bay finally made his way down to the kitchens after his Quidditch Practice… phew… man he was so tired now "wheres Louis??" he told him to meet him here.. oh well.. Bay pulled up a seat and sat down and waited for his best mate.. it would be rude to eat without him.

Still feeling hungry, Lux wandered over to the kitchens so that she could get something to eat that wasn't just Chocolate Frogs. Stepping inside, she was pleased to see that Bay was there. "Hey, Sir Bay!" Waving at him, she headed over to where he was and took a seat beside him before grabbing a cucumber sandwich. "How are you doing? Was practice good?"

Louis almost burst into the kitchen just a minute later. He'd been held back by an unfriendly owl that refused to release the mail it had brought with itself for him.

"Bay! Lux!" He grinned at the sight of his two friends, walking over to the table where they sat. "M'lady." He bowed in greeting at Lady Lux of the House of Hufflepuff before turning to his best mate and tackling him with a friendly hug. "Mate! Where've you been!?" Seriously! He felt like he hadn't seen Bay in 56 years. It also didn't help that they both looked like old men, so it just made it seem like the time had been even longer.

"Do you guys like my new look?" he asked as he pointed at his hair. The grey was completely gone, replaced by the boy's natural dark brown colour. He grinned, though his wrinkled face remained old.

Spotting a red head arrive he knew it was Lux for he was waiting for her too. "yoooo.." he said.. because he was all too smooth.. laughing at the "sir" part he guessed he wasn't getting out of that. "I'm just a bit tired.. and practice was great.. Alice really works us hard" he said while putting his head down on the counter.


Bay looked up when he heard his name called and it could only be one person his best mate.. "Hey…errr.. i've been at practice.. have you been loosing your memory?" he asked while laughing and then Tackle "OI!!! I'm so soar from practice mate.. give me a chance to relax [/s]and eat[/s]" laughing some more.

errrrr "did you color your hair Lou?" he asked knowing his own hair was still as grey as ever.. even though his wrinkles were gone for the moment like Louis's. he thought only girls did that.. he gave his friend a weird look.

Lux gave Bay a friendly pat on the back. "That's good. I'm sure you will do awesome in the matches then!" Lots of practice meant lots of awesome work on the Quidditch pitch.

Oooh, Louis was here. She laughed when he bowed to her. "You are looking very nice, Louis. Did you get a potion?" Because how else was he having his old hair back? Noticing he still had wrinkles, she got an idea... "Hey, would you like to use my wrinkle cream I made? I saw you weren't in the potions class..." She had no need for it, and knew that Bay had some that worked. Hers was still in a container in her bag, and she always was willing to help out a friend.

It seemed the younger girl had been thinking something similar and Ella smiled at her, nodding her head. "Yes, we can definitely use that spoon and bowl." It'd save them another trip to the cabinets which was good. Meant they could start cooking.

Encouraging looks for you, Josie. Ella knew she'd be just fine measuring the sugars. Just had to be mindful of what you were doing, is all. The eighteen year old busied herself with softening the butter as she waited for her to pour the sugar into the bowl.

Turning around when she heard Josie, the blonde looked at the measuring cup she was using with squinted eyes and then gave her a thumbs up. "Yup, 3/4 for both typs of sugar!" Nodnod. And hey, the butter was softened now so she added the cup of it to the bowl.

"I'm gonna get the teaspoon of vanilla and the egg."

Louis laughed as Bay complained that he was still sore from practice. “I have, actually,” he confessed when the boy asked if he’d been losing his memory. It was a miracle he remembered their names at all. But let’s not get into that, shall we? Lou preferred to pretend he was still just 15.

The boy then proceeded to sit down across his two friends, grabbing a cupcake a nearby house-elf offered. He took a bite and nodded his head when Bay asked if he’d coloured his hair. “Sort of. It’s charmed; Delilah did it for me. It’s only temporary, though,” he explained, looking all too eager to have his hair colour back. Now, if he could only get back his skin, health, hearing, and memory…

“A potion?” He furrowed his brows, giving Lux a puzzled look. When the little girl offered an anti-wrinkle cream, his eyes widened. Bloody hell, did he! “Yeah… yeah! I’d love it. That’s really nice, Lady Lux… thank you.” He beamed at the girl. This was turning out to be a good day - first he got his hair back, now his smooth skin?! Not bad, not bad at all.

"So. Who's cooking?" he asked the other two, half-teasing. It was true the elves always took care of the cooking, but they were in the kitchen... who here had some cooking skills they wanted to show off?

Josephina was on her way down to visit her lovely badgers, when as she passed the pear portrait she felt a light rumbling in her stomach. May as well make a quick stop, don't want to go visit with an empty stomach she thought, quickly entering the kitchens. It would just be a quick bite, right? Sure it would!

"Afternoon," the brunette nodded in polite greeting to the house elves. "You've got some of that leftover casserole from di--" she trailed off, as she spotted the librarian wearing an apron. Well that was something you didn't you see every day!

A smile crept on her features as she approached Leo ... and ooh! Cos too was here? "What we cooking?" Fina asked cheerfully. "Chili?" You know, for all the graying students who were complaining about their ailments.

Working in his own bubble with his cookie mixture Leo didn’t see or hear the portrait opening before Cosgrach roared causing him to drop his spoon and almost whisk the bowl off the counter in surprise. "Cosgrach." Leo mumbled as his eyes landed on the potions master.

He didn’t get the time to say anything else before Fina sauntered in too. Pulling the cookie mixture closer he smiled "Hi Fina," Starting to stir in the bowl again Leo shook his head. "No, cookies, why did you think I was making chilli?"

Fina appeared too, and Cosgrach grinned. This was getting better.

...'we'? Haha, haha, she was funny.

"No, I'm just going to eat." He wasn't even going to help. He didn't know 'help', 'cook' and 'bake'. He only knew 'eat'. He sat down by the other wall and watched them.

So, they would take care of the acts prior to eat, yeah? And they'd also be a good sport and share?

Oh. No chili? Well cookies, she supposed made better sense considering the apron. And it seemed the Potions Master was not into the baking or cooking thing; that was a tad surprising considering his subject mastery was potions. One might think the whole mixing things up and experimenting in the kitchen might give him an advantage.

"Oatmeal raisin?"Fina asked, curiously, biting her lower lip thoughtfully. "Well not to be rude, but I just figured... maybe I dunno ... chili ... and all these complaints of achy muscles. Maybe a request? Or have you two not received complaints about achyness?"

"And really, Cos, you should offer your brewing and mixing expertise. It will make enjoying them more worthwhile." You know, just her two knuts worth.

Cosgrach was there to eat not help.

Leo was amused. "You don’t like to cook or bake?" He asked his colleague his inborn curiosity shining through just a little.

Turning to Fina he said. "Sure we can make oatmeal raisins. Is raisins good against aches?" Meaning was that some old remedy against aches that had been passed down between generations.

Nodding he said worriedly "Yes I’ve heard about those complaints too. It’s not just achy muscles its greying hair and wrinkles too. Sophia gave me a scare the other day. I almost didn’t recognize her because of her grey hair, wrinkles and grey skin tone."

Why were the students complaining of muscle aches?

Who? Him? Cooking? What? See? They didn't even fit in the same sentence. He had to seperate them with question marks to make sense.

He laughed briefly. Fina was sweet, but not sweet enough to fool him into it. Cooking or helping.

"My expertise is potions, Fina," he said in good humour, "I know nothing about cooking. 'dislike' isn't the word. I enjoy eating more." So, it would be RUDE of them to FORCE him to help, especially if it was their condition to share the food.

Aches. Cosgrach grunted and made a face. Clearly, he had problems about it too.

"The children at potions class." His tone was almost whining. It was just so... it didn't make sense, see? It just didn't. "A class full of elderly, and they are barely 17 years old!" He looked at his colleagues in despair. "What is wrong with them?"

Raisins good against aches? Honestly, she had no idea. "I haven't heard anything against them as a remedy for aches, but I have heard the fiber in raisins is supposed to be good against constipation." That was an old person affliction, wasn't it?

Sophia? As in the Transfiguration Professor? SO wait, was this ... these complaints, not just affecting students? BUT they weren't affected. Cos had salt and pepper hair at the start of the term and it didn't look any grayer.... "Potions IS like cooking. But fine. Suit yourself." Fina shrugged; cause you know, if he didn't want to help, he didn't have to. She just figured he might actually enjoy it considering his specialty.

And he had seen the issues too? "So what do you propose we do about it? Go visit the Headmistress? Send her a Patronus?" Annie wasn't afflicted either, right? It was totally unrelated to her fainting at the pieing. And seeing as the redhead didn't teach anymore, perhaps she hadn't noticed the students the way they had...
