Tessa stepped into the kitchens humming to herself. IT was time to do some homework, and it was the best kind. Something sneaky and something fun... she was going to slip Bay the daydreaming spell.

And she had the perfect daydream in mind.

After receiving a few cupcakes, she separated one for herself and quickly cast the charm on the others. "Sentio Somnium," she cast, circling her wand over all of the cupcakes. She had the perfect daydream in mind for Bay...

All of their friends were on a beach, watching the setting sun. A bonfire they had cooked their dinner over was still burning, and marshmellows were set to the side for when they were ready. Tessa sat beside Sander of course, and Bay and Lux were sitting together. Lux was leaning against him, and had her head on Bay's shoulder... Once it was dark, they would cook the marshmellows, and probably start telling funny stories...

She would let Bay fill in the story part. But, now all she needed was the other Gryffindor!

Kace was supposed to meet Adi here today. He was supposed to work on the homework with his buddy. As he made his way to the kitchen, he noticed Adi was there. "Hey Adi!" he called out to him.

Adi was checking for his pencil, patting his pockets. Oh no! If he had forgotten it, he couldn't make his notes about Kace's reaction to the spell. And speaking of Kace! There he was! Adi raised a hand and with a grin, beckoned his friend over.

"Hiya, Kace! What's up?'' It was good to have a chat with the other Puffer. "Here, I got you some orange juice, if that's okay with you,'' Adi added as casually as he could. Hopefully it was okay with Kace.

"Drink up, buddy, and let's get this show on the road.'' Out loud, the second year asked, ''How are things going? What's the latest with you and Marigold?'' Oh look! He found his pencil. It had fallen out of his pocket and was on the chair. Excellent! He was all set for note taking.

"Hey dude...oh nothing much just pumped to get this homework out of the way." he told his buddy. Oh he got him some orange juice? He gave him a skeptical look. "Oh you did...?" he raised his eyebrow. He gave it a once over and it looked normal to him.

He told him to drink up and then he tilted the bottle and drank it. As he took a sip, he saw the kitchen transform into this gorgeous meadow. It was magnificent. He was smiling gleefully and felt like he was on cloud nine. He was even seeing hippogriffs. He saw one blue one with a candy cane colored horn. His name was Charlie. He wanted him to follow him to candy mountain.

"Adii...one of them wants me to go to Candy Mountain. But i do not know where that is..." Kace mumbled. Then he flinched when one of the hippogriffs bumped into him. It nudged him to go play. "One of them wants me to play tag with him." he told him as well.

Adi slipped out a piece of parchment he had slyly hidden between some pages of his book. His pencil (it was less noticeable than a quill) was poised and he was all set to start writing. He watched as Kace downed the orange juice, trying to keep his face as innocent as possible though he was bubbling with excitement on the inside.

Aha! The first sign of the daydream... that happy look on Kace's face. He looked like he was on Cloud nine. Wow! Who knew Hippogriffs could make his friend that happy? A note of that was made.

What was that? Candy Mountain? A hippogriff wanted to take Kace there? Did that place even exist? Adi resisted the urge to collapse on the floor with laughter. "What?'' he asked instead, struggling to maintain a straight face. ''Who wants to take you where?''

Adi had not miss the flinch. He hastily jotted that down. Every bit was useful for his written part of the homework. "Tag? Well go on then, Kace! Quick, try to tag him before he decides to fly away!''

Oh Merlin! This was hilarious!

Bay followed Tessas instructions to meet her down at the kitchens… his most favourite place in all of Hogwarts..

Seeing her he made his way over to her. "YOOOOOO Tessa 'Sup?" he asked her as he took a seat… instantly spotting cupcakes… CUPCAKES!!! yeah this is why Bay loved her so much.

"May I have one… or a few" he asked her while smelling the one in front of him.

Tessa giggled at Bay entrance, and moved back so that there was plenty of room for her friend to sit down... and so the cupcakes were prominently featured.

"Of course, silly," she replied, laughing. "I'm surprised you even asked!" she added as she peeled back the paper on her own cupcake and took a bite. "They're really good, so you should dig in," she encouraged. She hoped Bay would enjoy the daydream!

"awesome" Bay said as he took the one nearest to him and shoved it in his mouth..

his eyes started to glaze over.. he mumbled "thiisss… iss.. goooddd." staring over to the left of the room everything went hazy and he was suddenly he was on a beach.. with Lux leaning against him.. huh…. wasn't he just in the kitchens..

smelling the salt from the water and spotting Tessa and Sander… oh and what did he see Marshmellows to cook for later. feeling the breeze in his hair, he felt at home… so relaxed… he gave a "sigh" and stared off into the water.

Tessa was thrilled to see how quickly her spell took effect on the younger Gryffindor. She almost felt bad, but as his face glazed over she suppressed a laugh. He looked like he was in heaven. And he probably was- there were sweets in the dream after all!

"You okay there Bay?" she asked quietly, so as not to disturb the dream. "What do you see?" She brought out a piece of parchment and her quill, ready to take notes.

He was so ready to fall asleep. "yeah.. why wouldn't i be okay?" he asked her.. while getting more comfortable. wait.. what.. what did she mean what did he see??

"Tessa you know your with me??" he was really confused, but he thought he would humour her and answer her question. "were on a beach…. Sanders here and so is Lux… sitting around a fire… i guess were waiting for it to get dark so we can cook these marshmallows over here.." he said while laughing.

"Just making sure," she said, scribbling some notes down before returning her attention to Bay. He looked sleepy- but that was normal for him. At least he was relaxed- she had panicked at first when the scene had started to change.

"I have my eyes closed," she told him, playing along. "Besides, I want to know what you see," she explained. She jotted down more notes as he spoke, humming in agreement with him. "I don't think you have to wait for it to get dark," she reasoned with a laugh. "They're for any time... just be careful of Lux. You don't want her to fall," she said, remembering how the young Hufflepuff was leaning on Bay's shoulder.

ohh cool, her eyes are closed.. that must explain it.. "awesome.. I'm going to cook one right now.. anyone else want one?" he asked while grabbing the bag next to him.. seeing that there were rods right beside it he put a marshmallow on there and held it out..

he made sure that he wasn't moving Lux to much, she seemed to peaceful.

Tessa chuckled to herself. That was typical Bay- sweets always came first. That was why she had chosen cupcakes to put the spell in, after all. "You do that, Bay," she told the younger lion. "I don't want want, but let me know how it tastes," she said, curious.

She was tempted to eat one of the spelled cupcakes so that she could join him. It sounded like a wonderful daydream. She could see him carefully shifting and knew he was being careful for Lux. That was so sweet of him.

Bay nodded… why would she want to know how it tasted?? then it hit him

CHARMS CLASS!

"Tessa did you put something in that cupcake… because I swear this is just like charms class!!!" he said shaking his head.. trying to clear it out but it was still the same.. stuck in this awesome day dream..

wait… he remembered more.. the professor in charms said that they weren't eating real food.. "is this a real marshmallow or like a spoon or a fork or something??" he asked her while eyeballing the marshmallow on his roasting rod…..

please let it be an actual marshmallow

'SCOURGIFY! THAT WAS IT!'

Josette nodded her head as her memory had been reminded of the charm. She repeated it herself to get the word in her mind, "Scourgify.." Before saying it again she lifted her wand pointing it at the table again. Focusing and take a deep breath, she waved her arm slowly as she had seen Ella do earlier. "Scourgify.." She quickly closed her eyes afraid that she might not have done it right for a moment or two. When she slowly peaked one of her eyes open, she gasped before both of her eyes were open to see that the spilled flour on the table had vanished right before she eyes!

Not able to believe what she'd just done, she made her way towards the table and ran her fingers over the smooth surface. It really was gone! Still unable to to believe it herself, her mouth dropped as she looked over at Ella. Josette had successfully done the charm! She quickly whipped her head around to look at the table again just in case her mind wasn't playing tricks on her. It wasn't! The flour was really gone & the charm really worked! She definitely had to keep that charm handy!

Ella was trying not to stare as the younger girl tried the spell again but she really couldn't help it, y'know? She was willing her to succeed and somehow that will felt stronger if she was watching the whole thing take place. And then she'd done it, Josie had. The surface was clean and flour-free and all the Head Girl could do was beam at her reaction to the whole thing.

When the Josette's eyes left the table and found hers, Ella gave her two thumbs up. "Knew you could do it." Knew it all along. "Pretty cool, huh?" And now she could use it whenever she needed and know she could do it.

"Now that we're all clean, I think we're ready to do some cookie baking." Grin! "Would you mind grabbing the sugar? We'll need brown and regular. I think...it's in the cabinet over there." And Ella motioned with her head as she was already thinking of what else they'd need.

"I'll get.... .... ... the butter and eggs."

If she could have, Josette would have bounced up and down, but somehow she felt that her aching body wouldn't have let herself do this. So instead she just gave a smile that showed she was very happy. Next thing she knew, Ella had said how cool the charm was. Josette nodded as she said, "I've got to remember that one.."

NOW they were going to start baking cookies! Josette was just as excited as she was moments ago when she'd cast Scourgify successfully. Grab the sugar? Brown & regular? She didn't even know there was a brown sugar. That was definitely intriguing! Giving another nod to the older girl, Josette slowly turned before she headed towards the cabinet Ella had pointed out. She held onto the counter as she searched the cabinets for the package containing this Brown Sugar, which she found a few moments later. Taking a moment to stand back up straight, she turned and then set her blue eyes on the package in front of her remembering already having taken out the regular sugar when she was trying to bake her cake that was now cement. "What next?" Looking at Ella as she placed both sugars on the table.

Kace was still in la la land. He was smiling and repeated his answer. "Uhh...Charlie...yeah...he wants to go to candy mountain. It is a magical place...." he trailed off and started giggling.

Then he heard Adi encourage him on and he was waving his hands in front of him trying to tag the hippogriff. "Errghh it is too fast. I do not know if i can keep up."

Then he opened his eyes and the effects of what he just drank wore off.

He looked around and gave Adi a quizzical look. "Wwooaahh dude...what just happened?"

Giggling. Adi jotted that down too. The Hippogriff even had a name! Charlie wanted to go to Candy Mountain which is a magical place. This was going to be one interesting and entertaining write up for Professor Fuller.

He sniggered softly when Kace began waving his hands and then actually snorted out with laughter when the "hippogriff" started running at top speed. This was seriously one of the best spells ever! Adi briefly wondered who else he could slip the potion to. What fun that would be.

Adi quickly ended the spell using Finite. He thought he might have enough material for a decent write up. Now to answer his friend's question. "The orange juice...I cast that spell we learnt in Charms on it. I must say, the results were very cool. Thanks for being the unsuspecting target, Kace.'' He smiled innocently.

Tessa laughed as Bay connected all the dots, realizing what he was actually in. "Perhaps..." she said, her voice shaking in laughter. "I actually put something in all of them- you were bound to get into the daydream at some point," she told him.

"If you want I can end it?" she suggested, raising her wand. She didn't want to torture her friend... too much. She looked at his hand. "Nope, it's empty- I was curious to see if your imagination supplied the flavor for you," she told Bay with a grin. "But..." she quickly placed a marshmellow in his hand. "Go ahead!"

Bay laughed as she said she would end it.. "no let me finish this marshmallow and then you can end it.. its…. its.. perfect here" he said while he felt the little fluffy sweet in his hand.. he popped it in his mouth.. " 'Fanks" he said while munching it.

"okay all done now… go ahead" he said while taking a look around one last time..

Tessa giggled as he said he would finish the marshmellow. "You and your food... I should call you Mr. Marshmellow, you've been eating so many," she teased. She watched as he ate the marshmellow, trying not to laugh and mess up her notes.

"Alright, here it goes," she said and quickly cast the spell to end it. "Finite." She grinned and cast teh same spell over the rest of the cupcakes. "Welcome back to the real world," she told Bay with a smile.

Bay just snuck down to the kitchens for some milk and heard some noise going on.. he spotted Lux with Sander and Lucas..

"hey guys whats goin------" he noticed that she was holding her hand.. "Lux are you okay??" he asked her as she looked like she was in some pain...

Lux sniffled as she wanted to be taken to see the Healer already. Her wrists really hurt. When she heard Bay come in and ask if she was okay, she shook her head. "Both my wrists really hurt." She must have banged them really hard when she landed on the ground.

Sander looked up when he heard Bay's voice. He was actually relieved to see him. "Hey Bay, Lux hurt her wrists somehow. I was about to take her to the Healer. Do you want to come with?" Sander asked Bay.

Then he turned to Lux, "We're going now, Lux. Do you want me to carry you? " he asked her.
