Default The Hog's Head

Welcome to the Hog’s Head, a dark and somewhat dingy place, but at least the food is good. The pub is owned and run by Samuel Huxley. If you want to order a drink or some food, you must do so at the front counter. If you’re of age or older, you may sit up at the bar, but anyone under 17 must find a seat at one of the old wooden tables around the restaurant.

All Hogwarts and SS rules apply at all times. Please do not roleplay for the Shopkeeper (Samuel Huxley).

Sierra thought Tori would end up a writer? "Not exactly. I'm just not surprised you made a career out of being a professional gossiper, that's all," she said. Honestly was the best policy and all. That was also the insult she was almost sure Bunbury was expecting.

Sierra was certain Tori had some evil plan behind asking if the Falcons were Sierra's first choice in a team. No, they weren't. The Harpies had been. The Falcons, as a matter of fact, hadn't even been in Sierra's running. Tori didn't have to know that, though. "Of course. Well, the Falcons or the Harpies," she said. She decided to throw a pinch of the truth in their somewhere.

Sierra raised her eyebrows. "Oh? Then tell me, Tori, what part of politics and government would you choose to write about if you were given that very assignment?" she asked. She would honestly fall out her chair if a decent answer was given.
"And what talent is that?" Tori pushed right back at Sierra's snarkiness. Oh there it was, the insult she had been expecting. And it was weak, especially for Sierra. Come on then, couldn't she do better than calling Tori a gossip?

Tori just threw her head back and laaaaaaughed. "When have I ever been a gossiper, Sierra? I can't help it if I'm observant and honest. You seem to have been born with a healthy dose of honesty yourself." Ohhh she was sooo unintentionally funny. Ha! Tori threw her drink back after that hearty chuckle, and set the empty glass down perhaps harder than she had intended.

The length of time it took Greingoth to answer that question was awfully telling, and the ginger had to fight an urge to dig her trusty notebook out of her purse then and there. "So the Harpies were your first choice. I see. It does make sense that you would want to be on an all-woman team." Tori signalled the bartender for another rum. Perhaps she should get one for Greingoth too, to calm her down some.

"Oooooooh I was hoping you would ask me that." She smiled sweetly at the other girl. "First of all, I choose what I write about. Nobody assigns me anything. Second of all, I would LOVE to write a 'Where Are They Now?' expose on your father." She had her notebook out of her purse and on the bar in a flip second. "Would you care to offer a quote, Miss Greingoth? How about a comment on the state of the Ministry as he left it? Because as I've read, confusion in the Ministry camp has only just been resolved. And yet, their winter holiday has still not ended."

She coolly took a sip of the fresh drink that had arrived. "So, what would you like to say?" Did she really believe Tori couldn't hold her own in an educated discussion? She had been in the top 10 of her class too.

The corner of Sierra's lips curled upward into a look of disgust, then she, too, turned up her drink and finished it off. "Oh," HA! "When have you ever been a gossiper? Let's put it this way, Tori. You're just the type of person that SCREAMS gossip wherever you go. I'm really confident it's a conclusion I could make with or without actual proof."

She shrugged when she was accused of having a healthy dose of honestly herself. "I just call it as I see it," she remarked. She was practically seething by the time Tori called her out on her first choice in a Quidditch team. Why was it that Sierra was an EXPERT as masking anything with anyone...except Bunbury?! Sometimes she thought they were a little more alike than either would care to admit. She'd also never admit that she actually thought they'd have made really good friends if it weren't for Bunbury and her 'mightier than thou' attitude. She'd be a really good ally.

Nevermind that.

Sierra liked to have come unglued when the talk turned to her father. She turned her head toward Tori as a look of rage took over her face. "My father is none of your business," she snapped. "You want to talk about confusion? How about you write a piece on Hogwarts and how it's gone to the PIGS since Auntie Annie's taken over?" Nevermind the fact that there was ALWAYS confusion at Hogwarts. That place was an even bigger drama magnet than Tori herself.

Hmm. Sherman rubbed his chin idly, trying to consider the possibilities. "Could... could you maybe be trading your age for their youth? Not intentionally of course, but..." They should have gotten firewhiskey. Maybe a fuzzy head would have made him feel better just then. "I mean, there is a time thief on the loose. Didn't MLE allow her to escape again?" And anything was possible...

But his hair was so SOFT. Reluctantly, Sherman pulled back his hands. This was most definitely an odd circumstance, but anything that made his best friend so happy surely couldn't be that bad of a thing? He smiled back.
Botros took his time trying to remember, too. "Nah. We weren't alive back then." He answered, all serious and arm-crossed and thoughtful. Wait, that wasn't the real question here. Dang. He shook his head slightly.

He was trading his good health for their youth? Botros' heart sank deep, deep, deep in his chest. And he swallowed. And he stared at Sherman. And there was something in his throat... oh no, it was just dry as a cactus. "Merlin's beard." He ran a hand through his hair (he could do that now!!), and stared wide-eyed at his feet. "You think so? That thief made a come back of some sorts? But I've been in Egypt when her trial went down and she disappeared." Pause. "I don't remember receiving anything suspicious either..." He rubbed his chin.

... "Wanna eat somethin'?" Y'know... normal conversation was allowed after a potential catastrophe discussion, too.

She SCREAMED gossip, did she? Tori raised her eyebrow. Her feelings were honestly hurt by this... show of Sierra's, though of course her tough exterior wasn't about to show that. She didn't like what that girl was implying here.

"Is it because I'm so good looking and talented that people want to gossip about meeeeee?" she mused innocently. "I'm far too busy and carefree to talk about others behind their backs, you see. So are you just projecting this gossip label upon me, Sierra? That's how I see it." She could be painfully honest too. And plus, Sierra had just admitted to having no proof! Ha!

No comment on the quidditch team, then. Tori wrote that down in a nice large and loopy hand. Brilliant, she hoped Sierra would see her notes. They were in plain sight on the bar, after all. Has an unquenchable thirst for red currant rum, she wrote down as well.

And just LOOK at little Greingoth's face! Hahaha! Another evil chuckle might have escaped Tori's lips as she jotted down the brunette's reaction. "Oh but you asked, dear Sierra. You asked where my interest in politics was, and I only replied honestly." Since that word was the theme of the night. "Your father is my business, I'm afraid, as I represent the good readers of the Daily Prophet and by putting himself into politics, he willingly entered the spotlight as a public figure." An easily attackable public figure, she might add.

She had another small sip of her drink as Sierra tried to turn the tables on her. Unfortunately, she needed to do her research before she attempted to attack the Bunburys. "Anastasia is my cousin, darling, and if you could read the papers, you would see that she is not at all to blame for anything that goes wrong at Hogwarts." Tori tucked her quill behind her ear with a smirk in Sierra's direction. Yes, her cousin's titillating editorial in the fall had quite resolved that. "Hogwarts is cursed. You should know. Wasn't it your stepmother who taught there?" Oooh more Greingoth family drama, ripe for reporting.

Leo had stupidly forgotten his gloves back in the library.

Stepping inside the pub Leo made his way over to take a seat by the bar to avoid most of the chatter. Sitting down on one of the bar stools he grabbed a menu and started to browse the selection. It hadn’t changed much since his last visit. So what was he in the mood for besides mead?
Javy had went about his way for the Hog's Head today in Hogsmeade. He tried not to mind too much on the cold, since every place was bound to be warm and cozy inside. Tugging his coat tighter, he slowly made his way inside before scanning for an open seat..

Ah.. There was his favorite librarian seated alone not too far from the entrance. Removing his hat, he went on to sit in the empty stool right next to him, "Good to see you again, Leo." Smiling a little at him while taking a menu for himself to decide on what to get. "So what are you getting today?"

Turning Leo beamed up at the COMC professor. "It's nice to see you again Javy," as his colleague claimed the vacant stool next to him he said "I was thinking of getting some mulled mead but I might change my mind to fire whiskey instead. It was cold out today." Rubbing his cold fingers again he asked "Does Lala like the cold?"

Sierra couldn't help the inevitable snort of laughter that came after Bunbury's first comment. "Wow," she said, raising her eyebrows. "You really think highly of yourself, don't you?" Deep down inside, Sierra had noted Toris hair, nails, and designer clothes. She could have afforded them, but they weren't her style. Nevertheless, she did feel sort of like a boring piece of plywood hanging out in a field of sunflowers.

"Let's just say I'm...stereotyping you on purpose," she answered. "What are you writing anyway?" Her tone had an increasing amount of annoyance in it by this point. "I'm not here to appear in some hot off the press article of yours, Tori. I wouldn't trust any of it anyway." She leaned over a bit to try and catch the words on the parchment.

Her father. Sigh. "Well, my father has retired, so please do UN-make him your business," she said. "Cousin. Aunt. Whatever. She's not to blame much in the same way my father isn't to blame for anything in the Ministry he didn't directly cause." So THERE. Sierra didn't think it was possible for Tori to push anymore of Sierra's buttons, but lo and behold... "MOTHER. She is NOT my stepmother," she snapped. Button of all buttons = PUSHED.

That's right, you just snort away, Sierra Greingoth. You sure look like a farm animal, why not sound like one too? "Just being honest," the ginger shrugged. She knew when people were jealous of her, and Sierra was just greeeeeeen with envy. Her eyes could be replaced with emeralds she was so green! Hmmph!

"On purpose because you don't like me? Wow, no surprises there." Tori took a deeper sip of her drink with a frown. "I've got several story ideas floating around up here," she touched the side of her head. "It just depends on how this little conversation goes, doesn't it?" Did she really LOOK like she cared whether or not Sierra trusted her? Pffffft. She should have learned something from her father by now, like to not trust journalists.

Oh right, he was retired. "I'll consider it, since you said please." She smirked at the brunette. "So now Annie's not to blame. Right. You may think I'm a dunce but I just gave you a load of perspective, didn't I?" She sure had. She had changed her mind right there or something. "MOTHER wooooooooooweeeeeeeee," Tori covered her mouth with her hand so she didn't laugh out loud at Sierra's face. "My baaaaaad! Gosh, I didn't know she'd adopted you." Was that offensive too? Tori wouldn't know, hah. Her parents had divorced but she was never allowing anyone to replace either of her biological parents, ever.

She signalled over that Huxley guy. "Here, let me buy you a drink to make up for it." She would insist. Loose lips were good for her biz, anyway.

"I'm sure if we had been, we'd be having a bout over that jealous thing." Mhm. Sherman smiled a little in spite of the sudden turn their conversation was taking. "The way Alice described it, loads of children had it. Maybe it spreads. It could have different effects on the already aged than young ones."

But look at that head of curls. Was Abraham going to waste this opportunity feeling guilty because of the kids? "Forget it, though. We should go and do everything you haven't been able to in years. Don't know how long this will last." They could go to a CARNIVAL. Botros could ride the Mechanical Hippogriff! Yeehaw!

"You bet I do. What's on the menu?"

"My thoughts exactly.." Nodding, Javy could quite agree that the weather was rather nippy out today. "and I take it your hands had experienced the worst of it." Oh yeah, he totally noticed them. Especially with how Javy almost towered over him while sitting.

Since he didn't have gloves on him either, Javy unraveled the scarf from his neck, he set it down in front of him. "You could wrap your hands in that before we get our drinks." Since the other choice was developing frostbite there. "No, Lala's not a fan, right now she's settling in the toasty barn with the other creatures." So she wouldn't be lonely and bitter cold. "So any luck with Wilhemnia and Madonna being good friends or acquaintances yet?" First time he heard it was quite a panic, hopefully it wasn't still like that.

Rubbing his hands trying to work up some warmth in them Leo grimaced. "Yes, I forgot my gloves in the library." He wasn’t that short but compared to Javy beside him he suddenly felt small. The comc professor towered over him even when sitting down. Leo tried not to think about it too much. It was enough to have a hair complex he didn’t need to develop one about his height too.

With a shook of his head Leo declined Javy’s offer of using his scarf for warmth. "Thanks for the offer but I think I’ll pass. They’ll warm up soon enough." Yes they would. And some warm firewhiskey would speed up the process if the shopkeeper could come take their order. "I'm glad Lala can stay warm in the barn. Wilhelmina and Madonna are cooped up in my office in front of the fire together. They've made peace but I doubt it lasts. They just don't see eye to eye." A very saddening fact.

Botros nodded his head solemnly, as if he was responsible for this. Well he wasn't... or was he? He rubbed his face, pushing any further thoughts away, and leaned back in his seat. "I've contacted my personal Healer at St. Mungo's. I'm waiting for a reply from her." It was the only thing he felt he could do without having to talk to any of his elderly colleagues. Merlin knew it was both funny and odd talking to them when they looked older than him.

... now Sherman made him grin widely. Botros was too cooped up with sadness and inexplicable guilt over this, he almost forgot the perks. "Well, I'd like to feel the wind through my hair again, you know. And and and I want to do a pie eating contest. Oh, we can go to the amusement park." He laughed shyly. "Can you believe this, a man at his eighty riding the dragon roller-coaster." Bahaha no.

The menu, right. Ab looked over at the big board with the food listed there (because he could see all the way from where they sat!), "How 'bout some Mystery Meat Lasagna and apple juice?" He was feeling adventurous today.

Ella was still waiting for Aiden to notice that she was looking on fiyaahhhh once again. He had yet to comment.

Ahem.

Anyway, meeting up with the cousin, or whatever. Hadn't she just been out with Trixie? Ella passed through the door that was opened for her, then searched for her husband's hand to hold. "Yeah, there." She said after he had spotted her, then took the lead and dragged Aiden alongside her.

"Hey." She took a seat opposite her cousin. Jeeeeeez, it was noisy in here, wasn't it? Ella frowned at a couple of oldies across the way. Why had they chosen to come HERE?

"Hello" she smiled at Aiden first as he greeted her. "As well as I can be with double shifts and a pair of toddlers" she sighed but couldn't help but to giggle at the end. "Honestly, don't have twins" she glanced towards Ella first and then back to Aiden. Especially twin boys. In fact, identical twin boys. The girls were absolute angels and always did as they were told. The twins didn't, or even if they were quiet it was quite disconcerting, like they were telepathically plotting their next riot.

She looked at Ella whom she had only seen recently anyway seeing the frown that had etched itself across her face. "What's wrong with you?" she raised her brow, following her eyeline to the pair of old people at another table. "I passed the three broomsticks earlier, its much quieter in here." She didn't fancy fighting her way around school children as sweet as they were.

After they reached the table, Aiden dropped his wife's hand and slid into a seat across from Trixie. Trixie who sounded to be busy with her double shifts and doubles boys. Double boys as in twin boys. Aiden shook his head at that. "Yeah, I don't know how you do four kids," he started as he opened his menu. "I mean, we've only got Sam and Livvy and we feel so busy with them." Aiden couldn't imagine having four little ones right now. Granted, Samuel and Olivia were both pretty good kids; they were lucky for that. He rested his arm on the back of Ella's chair and absently massaged her shoulder while he inspected the drink selection.

"So how's Freddie?" He assumed that the hubby must have been with the kids now, since they weren't with Trix. And when the blonde across from him starting asking questions about what was wrong with Ella, Aiden just gave a small, amused smile. "Trixie. It's Ella. There's always something to be grumpy about," he teased, then pulled her over with his arm to kiss her temple. Grumpy and still lovable, yes.

Ella snorted at Trixie, like, louder than she had expected to, then shot Aiden a look. "Never gonna happen." The twins thing, that is. Two separate babies were enough, and they were perfect. Ella was pretty certain that she didn't want any more. Double shifts too? Wow, she reeeeeeally didn't want to be Trixie. "You should try the stay-at-home-mum thing like me." She beamed. It was tough, but better than tasting and testing love potions all day. What a god awful job that was. She rolled her shoulders a little against Aiden's touch. A proper massage later, please?

Huh.

"What?" She looked away from everyone else and back at her cousin. "Nothing's wrong. Just got a bit of a headache, that's all." Livvy was a pretty terrible sleeper so Ella was aaaaaaalways up int he night. Sam was much more chillaxed. Still was. "Shut it." The brunette thumped her husband in the rib. Yeah, kiss her all ya want but she wasn't gonna apologize for the thumping.

Feeling completely positive that her mobile phone had vibrated, Ella pulled it out of her pocket and examined it, but nothing. And here comes the worry. She sighed and popped it back away.

Four children wasn't so bad, not when there was an age gap between them anyway. "Oh the girls are no hassle at all, if I'm busy they'll just play by themselves." She couldn't ask for more perfect daughters to be honest. "Its the twins that we're having issues with, they're all over the place. And it doesn't help that they're three, I'm sure its the worst age especially when it comes to boys" she commented. She snorted back at the look Ella was giving Aiden.

Stay at home mum? Oh Merlin now, that would be awful. "As much as I love my children, I don't think I'd be able to stay at home all day being a housewife. That isn't me." She'd have absolutely nothing to do. "Besides, I like working. I'm just covering another lady's shift, I'm sure it'll all return to normal eventually." And she wasn't going to stay in Mungo's either. Oh no, she had much bigger plans.

"He's okay. Completing the final year of his Masters degree" she informed them. Meant that the couple barely had any alone time together but that would change the following year, hopefully. "Constantly studying whilst obeying Tabitha's demands" she giggled.

The giggle was amplified at Aiden's comment about Ella's grumpiness. "That's true" she teased. And then they were being all cute and it made the blonde miss her husband like crazy. "Put each other down, I don't want to see all this mushy stuff across the table" she warned them though her smile told that she was joking.

But then Ella was checking her phone and she couldn't help but raise her eyebrow a little. "Expecting a call?" she asked, slightly narrowing her eyes. Oh she was definitely hiding something. What was it?! No lying to family after all.

Sierra had a reply for that first comment--the whole 'just being honest' thing, but when Tori changed topics to all the news she had floating around in her empty head, Sierra's jaw just dropped. "Oh, that's excellent, Tori," she said with an eye roll. "So you've earned yourself a position where you've got a bit of power." Hmph. Well, Sierra had earned herself a position, too, and if she ever caught sight of Bunbury at a match, she'd send a Bludger right to her. Then they'd see if her big, empty head could swat it away.

"So what do you want, Bunbury?" she asked. "A headlining comment? A big lie? The scam of the century?" she asked. She obviously got some goal, seeing as she'd whipped out that parchment and quill and had her nose stuck in every business every Greingoth seemed to have.

"Mother," Sierra mumbled, looking away. It was a sore subject, and she wasn't keen on exposing those kind of feelings to Tori Bunbury. There was a lot of hurt that ran really deep, and the truth was, if Tori had ever wantd to truly hurt Sierra, that was the path to keep on. "She adopted me in my second year."

She eyed the new drink with disgust. "Boy, you're a real piece of work, Tori. The funny thing is, if we weren't such great enemies, we might have made pretty good--..." Friends? Nah. "...allies."

"You can't control whether we have twins, babe," Aiden grinned over at Ella. But yeah, twins would be a lot. Also, Aiden wasn't completely sure that he would be able to tell identical twins apart, even if they were his own kids. Like, what if they named them, and then they crawled away into another room and they couldn't tell who was who and then there was an IDENTITY crisis? That's the sort of thing that would happen to them. He gave and amused smile as the two discussed stay-at-home-momming versus working.

Right. Okay. Ella was shrugging away from his touch, so he slipped his arm back by his side again. Shut DOWN. Moving on... Freddie was busy with studies. "Master's? That's pretty cool. What's he going for again?" It was hard to keep track of those things sometimes.

Aiden sighed dramatically and leaned against the back of his chair. "No worries about us being 'mushy,' Trix. Ella doesn't let that happen." Much to his dismay. GOSH, Ella. He loved her and she just shut him down. Poor chap. Could he at least get some sympathy affection in public? Doubtful. Very doubtful.

He glanced over at Ella checking her cell. "She's worrying over the kids," he smiled. Worry wart.

Pssh... "Opposite for us, I reckon." Boys vs girls thing. Ella grinned a little. Nahh... Livvy wasn't as much of a nightmare as Trixie's twins, clearly, but she was a pickle compared to Samuel. Ella kinda dreaded the day that she turned two. That was one hell of a stroppy age. She made a face at Aiden, like ugggggggggh, seriously, she did NOT want twins. Or triplets, or anything multiple. "We'd BOTH have to stay at home if we had twins." Did he really think Ella would cope with that on her own?

That was his warning. No twin genes, please.

"I'd choose staying at home over work ANY DAY." Ella and work really didn't mesh well together. Probably something to do with people. Bleuhg... She shook her head a little at Trixie, 'cause her answer being all pro-work kinda baffled her.

Hey now, what? "What're you talking about?" Ella made a big kissy face at Aiden to PROVE it, then moved in to plant a big sloppy kiss on his cheek. Hehehe. They were plenty mushy, just not so much in public... or in front of her cousin.

"Hm?" Oh. Ella was about to answer Trixie, but Aiden had done it for her. Yeah, it was to do with the kids, as usual. She hated leaving them behind because she felt like no one could look after them properly more than she could. Well, or Aiden, of course. Sometimes. It had only gotten worse since she started staying at home all of the time. "I'll check on them in 5." She almost whispered to Aiden.

Opposite? Really? Trixie was an only child so she never had a brother growing up but she was fairly certain that the boys were always the worst. "You wait until Samuel gets to about five, then I'm sure you won't be saying that." Her boys were only 3 and it seemed like toddlerhood had hit hard. "Girls are so much easier the older they get." Plus it was easier to interact with them as a female herself. Even Freddie found bonding with the six and seven year old a pretty simple task. "Whereas boys go in reverse." That was her idea anyway.

Heh. Yes that was definitely true. Trix had desperately wanted a boy and had tried for quite a long time for one. Too have two that come at one time was a big shock. "Its not so bad, you just have to organise your time perfectly." Sharing out duties was the best idea.

The former Head Girl was certainly proud of her husband for his achievements, he was a very clever man even if he didn't show it very often. "Criminal psychology." Seemed sort of ironic considering his background but it definitely played to his advantage. "At Greenwich University" she added on.

The blonde couldn't think of anything worse than staying home all day. "Isn't it boring? Come on Ella, expand your horizons a little." Didn't she used to work at the Ministry? Reputable career. "Where are you working now Aiden?" she asked. Surely he must have an interesting, well paid career to keep their family going.

Trixie wasn't sure whether she was 'mushy' in public herself. Perhaps sometimes, depending on whether they were alone or were socialising. She wrinkled her nose at the public display of affection and progressed to sipping on the drink she had ordered earlier. "Honestly you two" she rolled her eyes jokingly.

Oh the children. Obviously as she had left her husband in charge, she had no worries about the safety and wellbeing of her offspring. In fact, she rarely ever did due to the fact she usually let them in the care of her parents who were perfectly capable of keeping them in track. "I'm sure whoever is looking after them is doing a perfectly good job." It was natural to be concerned, it was a mothers instinct but sometimes you just had to relax.

Yeah, basically. Even this young, it was pretty evident that Livvy was a bit more of a handful than Sam was. "Well, when Sam turns five, we'll get back to you on that one." Though Aiden believed the boy's disposition wouldn't change all that much. If Trixie was saying that girls got easier as they got older, then Aiden had to give a laugh at that. "Maybe not when they're teenagers." Because hellooo? Didn't these cousins remember how much drama THEY were involved in when they were teens? Yeah. And ignore the fact that Aiden was kind of maybe involved too, but shh.

Yeah, unless twins ran in Ella's family, Aiden didn't that was going to happen.

Aah, okay. Aiden nodded. He remembered Freddie's major now that Trixie had jogged his memory. "Inside the mind of killers." And bad guys. That was cool. Probably pretty bizarre at times too. "I'm still working as an Auror." Yep, and he liked it just as much as always.

Oh, look! He DID manage to get something out of Ella. Although juuuust as his wife was going in for a nice little cheek kiss, he swiveled his head with impeccable timing so that it was a kiss on the lips instead. Smooooch. He grinned when they separated, content now.

"Okay, okay," Aiden assured the blonde. "You and Freddie get a free PDA pass next time we're out." Or something. They were all family after all, so it wasn't like they had to be super aware of manners.

He gave a little smile when he caught Ella saying that she would check on the kids in five minutes. They were probably fine, but it would comfort her and there was no harm in it.

This place kind of smelled. How did he forget that? Oh well. Too late to turn around now, right? He was kind of too lazy to do it anyhow.

Milton sauntered into the bar place thing and slid into a bar stool at the counter before ordering a firewhiskey. Nobody tell Taryn. She wasn't likely to show up here, right? Heh. He should have been at school anyway, so he hoped not. Taking a look around, saw a few familiar faces but kept to himself for the time being.

At this point in time...it was obvious to the former Slytherin that he'd bitten off more than he could proverbially chew.

Dylan, who'd just left campus, wasn't in a great rush to get home. Home wasn't a safe zone, anymore. People were popping up all the time and he really couldn't be bothered with any of them. Besides, Dylan had a massive headache and such a headache called for a massive drink; to relax his increasingly frayed nerves. Perhaps when he did finally make it home, he'd be in a better mindset to get started on the mounds of homework that had been assigned: two essays, a diagram of harmful and helpful fungi, and then he had 4 chapters to read.

...And this didn't even include the fact that he had to sleep early because quidditch practice in the morning. Dylan was on thin ice and was possibly facing suspension if he missed anymore.

Right, so...The Hog's Head it was. Upon entering, the same faint smell of stale hops and mold assaulted his nose (like in the good ol' days) as he moved further into the building. Not wanting to sit at a table...because cobwebs and other gross things, he moved to take a bar stool next to someone he didn't even bother to look at. People that frequented these types of places didn't like being looked at. That was part of the reason Dylan was here. A professional quidditch player got noticed...even when he didn't want to be.

"Firewhiskey, please."

Was her jaw literally dropping or was Tori just that smug? Yes, both. She was smug to see Sierra looking so shocked. She toyed with the straw in her drink and waited for the Snake to say something else she could use in her little article.

"I only print the truth, Sierra," she reminded her with a wag of the finger. "Now now, pull your claws back in. We can play nice, can't we? Perhaps this could be a beneficial run-in for the both of us..." Sierra could give her something fit to print, and Tori could........... Tori could...............................well, Tori could at least make Greingoth look NOT terrible. Or something. Free publicity paid for itself, heyy.

Mother, right. Tori bit her glossy lip to keep from honestly laughing at how kicked-puppy Sierra looked. Oop. Some people just couldn't handle their parents' problems. Tori, though, had many outlets and methods of avoiding her own family's drama. "You know, I was just thinking the same about you." She let her eyes roam around the bar for a moment before they landed back on Sierra. "We weirdly have much in common. It's too bad you're just always a witch to me."

She gave her a fake smile and leaned down the bar to try to get the bartender's attention. But hey, who was that down the line? "Milton?" Tori called out with a tilt of the head. Yes, that was him. Had to be. Who was his blonde little friend? Hmmmmmm? Maybe THEY would give her something to write about, if Sierra wasn't going to...

"You have a personal healer?" Had he known of this or had it just slipped his old mind? Sherman scratched his chin pensively, appearing to be in deep thought. The youth seemed nice, but it must have been unsettling as well. To be around people and have them stare at him in awe, to be estranged from his students because of it, to have everyone he knew see him differently... quite frankly, it sounded a bit overwhelming.

And Merlin knew he couldn't have managed such a ordeal as well as Abraham could. He had an immense of amount of respect for his friend at that moment. Not that he'd ever admit it, of course.

"Oh, yes, because you have your hair back now. I could wear a toupee!" And then they'd be similar again! Somewhat. "And you're a middle-aged man now, meaning you gain weight like one. Watch those pies." Would Debbie approve?

Amusement parks sounded good too, but food sounded better. "I like apple juice. How about you get two servings of that lasagna, and after you try some and ensure me it's not niffler or such that I'm eating, I dig in?" He was the young one, after all.

Once his firewhiskey was delivered, Milton took a drink and drummed his fingers on the bar. He was almost tempted to just stroll around through Hogsmeade and pick on people he used to know. But he was mostly tempted to just chill here and not bother them. They probably didn't even want to see him. Pff. Milton was distracted by his thoughts and he didn't realize someone had suddenly occupied the bar next to him. Milton glanced at the bloke.

.... And then did a double take.

Merlin. Of ALL people, it had to be HIM? Milton stared straight ahead of him, avoiding eye contact. Maybe if he just sat completely still, he wouldn't notice it was him. He didn't think Dylan's choice of sitting had been intentional anyway. Why would he even sit by him? He didn't wanna talk to this dude. He glanced down the bar at the redhead and he thought he was doing a pretty good job of being inconspicuous... until...

Sigh.

Didn't she know he was trying to be SNEAKY? Milton paused for a moment before putting on a smile as fake as the one Tori gave Sierra. "Hiiii, Tori. So good to see you." Maybe, MAYBE, Dylan didn't hear them. THERE COULD BE ANOTHER MILTON.
