The sixth floor corridor houses several empty rooms, as well as several busy ones, most notable of which is the Transfiguration classroom.
You can try all the doors you'll find on this floor, but most will be locked for their own reasons. There's no harm in conversing with the ugly grouchy old portraits surrounding them though.

So her first day of classes were already starting for her last and final year at Hogwarts. Hannah wasn't sure how she felt about that. All she knew for sure was that she needed to buckle down and get it together. Those newts weren't going to take themselves and all of her eggs were in this one basket.
She needed to run down to her common room and grab some things that she would need for her next class, but that was such a long way away.

Laura couldn't believe it the first day of classes and she was running late because of different things, she walked around the corner and smiled. "Hi Hannah." Laura smiled. "How are you?" Laura had no idea what she was going to do now, she had missed her friend. "What you doing?" Laura was glad that she had seen her friend.

Hannah turned in the direction of the friendly familiar voice. It was none other than Laura. "Hey there Laura." She suddenly remembered that she had never made it to the girls house over the summer break. "I'm good. Already stressing about newts. You?"
"I was actually trying to decided whether a trip to my common room is needed." Surely she could get by without some of her stuff? Maybe she would have time after Transfiguration was over. "How was your summer?" Errr... should she mention her absence? "Sorry about not making it. It's been rough at home." That was about as far as she was going to go with that.

Adi was positively bored and was looking for something interesting to do. He had remembered seeing all those locked doors on the sixth floor on his way to and from Transfiguration classes. He always wondered what were behind them and now with nothing to occupy his time, why not go explore.
Arriving on the sixth floor, Adi scanned the place. All clear. Great! Now to get to his exploration. Approaching the nearest door, he tried the knob. Locked! He tried another. Also locked. Darn! Maybe he should try Alohomora...

Walking back from the Transfiguration classroom, Robin noticed a boy standing in one of the doorways. She recognized him from ancient runes class, he sat near her and Lucas but back then they had only had time to wave before the teacher had come in. He looked like he was trying to open a locked door, and it wasn't working. She remembered that during the entrance ceremony the headmaster had told them about the corridor doors being locked for their own reasons.
She walked up behind the boy as he was pulling his wand out, attempting the Alohomora spell she guessed. "I don't think that will work" She mused, looking at the door. "I heard that there are like, billions of charms put on the locks here to make sure students get in" She had heard many Gryffindors talking about their failed attempts in the common room, her house seemed to be full of curious people because from what she'd heard, there were many plans and attempts to outsmart the locks.
Left and then it was on your right. Uhh.. no. In the place of the bathrooms was a rather sad looking portrait of a dinner table with a pimpled young minstrel playing a unfortunate tune on his harp. The Gryffindor leant forward and considered asking the barb for some help as the seventh year Ravenclaw he'd encountered in the Great Hall had been of no help. Just as he summoned up the courage to ask the painting, he heard the distinct ruffling of humans approaching.
He turned to see Robin and a young boy he didn't know standing in front of a door halfway down the corridor. Uh. The real curiosity of the situation was that the boy had his wand out.
"Have you tried turning the doorknob?" Lucas said with a grin as he approached them. Giving Robin a distinct nod, he stopped just short of them. "Heeeey Robin," he said and then gave the boy next to her a slightly awkward wave.
"What're you up to?" And perhaps more pertinently, "oh, and uh, do you know where the bathrooms are?"

Holding the left over potion in his hand, the first year Gryffindor had planned to go downstairs to the grounds in search of a partner for their potions homework. He had came from the Gryffindor Common Room but only on the sixth floor he had stop and lean against the wall. He was out of breath and since a few days ago his back was hurting. The boy put his hand against his back and tried to massage it. Those bloody staircases were going to kill him one day. And they were so long! It had taken him nearly three minutes to get from the Common Room to the sixth floor. Finding this slightly odd, Kevin quickly shook the thought away.
And then again, this place was perfect to find a victim partner wasn't it? At least the Ravenclaws and Gryffindors HAD to walk passed here.

Sliiiding down the banister to the sixth floor Bart had become so proud of himself at the perfection he had gotten the sliding to be. No way was he walking when sliding was so much more fun. Instead of keeping the down hill climb he decided to wander around a bit. This corridor looked interesting why not.
As he started to walk down the almost empty hall he noticed a familiar boy against the wall. That was the boy from the feast, the one that was going to jump through the Bloody Baron with him. Hmm that reminded him they still needed to find the Bloody Baron to jump through.
"Hey Kevin" That was his name right? "We need to find the Bloody Baron, you didn't forget about our jump did you?"

Hearing a voice call his name, the Gryffindor turned around with a scowl on his face. He didn't know why but he was grumpy today which probably wasn't a good combination of doing this homework but whatever. The hallway was deserted except for him and ...it was that kid from the feast. Whatever his name was. Not that he cared. "hey" other person... "Of course i haven't forgotten, i don't forget anything!" he lied as he pushed himself off of the wall, the potion bottle in his hand.
"I heard the Bloody Baron is usually near the dungeons" he said as he began to open the small bottle of potion. "We should go downstairs and call him, then when he appears we jump through him immediately!" But first, needed to do something else.
"I'm first going to breathe fire on you so stand still" Kevin put the bottle against his lips and drank the potion. And yes, in case he didn't know yet, HE was a genuine pig right now.

Good he was glad the boy didn't forget. He hated when people forgot things that was always so annoying. Especially something as cool as jumping through the Bloody Baron.
"The Dungeons well yes we should go there." He started walking figuring the boy would follow. He wanted to go now right? "I can't wait to see his ghostly face when we jump right through him. It's going to be awesome!"
A grin started on Bart's face a huge grin. "Breathe on me?" He knew exactly what that meant and he couldn't wait. He loved that class it was the best so far this term. "Heck no I'm not standing still it will be more fun to play flame tag." He pulled his potion out of his pocket and started to open it.

"Let's do this"
FLAME TAG?! That was dangerous! that was insane! that was TOTALLY AWESOME! Forgetting about his back pain, the first year Gryffindor nodded his head rapidly and then hiccuped a couple of times before it settled down. He checked his breath once and as he breathed in a random direction a small blaze of fire spewed out of his mouth.
He had momentarily forgotten about their 'jump through the Bloody Baron' thing. Not that he had totally forgotten about it but for now he was going to play FLAME TAG! Without giving a warning, the young Gryffindor breathed fire on his house mate just as he opened up his own bottle. "YOU'RE IT!" He laughed and ran away, ignoring the pain in his aching legs.

He was in.. This was going to be so cool. Should he warn the boy about how his potion worked last time. The coughing splattering fit? Nah he'd find out soon enough and for flame tag the all over the place fame would work in his advantage. So this was going to happen, Bart hurried up and put it in his mouth making sure not to swallow it. [b] "weawy when woo wre."[/b He muffled with a mouth full of potion.
Running toward Kevin with a huge grin on his face Bart blew easy at him just knowing his potion would work. It worked in class so it would work now in his mind. Of course just as it did in class it splattered out and he began a coughing fit that kept the flames coming out sporadically as he turned and took off running, because this was tag. He hoped he got him with surprise for the first tag, but now Kevin was going to work for it.
Still coughing he stopped running to catch his breath as flamed continued to spill out. Was Kevin coming to tag him, maybe he should turn and see so that the boy wasn't tickling him by surprise.

As he ran away, his legs aching with pain that he couldn't explain where it came from, he looked over his left shoulder to see Ghost Jumpy Dude coughing flames everywhere. He chuckled at the sight as he ran around the corner. Gosh he was bad at this wasn't he? The coughing he meant. Should he be worried? He probably should be he wasn't.
Suddenly, he felt a tickling sensation on his back and he knew he was hit by Ghost Jumpy Dude's flames. Pouting slightly, the young Gryffindor turned around to run after the other Gryffindor , burping once as he did so. He saw him, a few feet away from him coughing up flames which was a pretty cool yet disgusting sight. A grin played on his lips as Kevin took a step forwards another step, ran towards him and....
"Owwww!" he shrieked in pain as a huge flame came out of his mouth and had to stop running. He bend back his body and held his hands on the back. He couldn't say a word and breathed hard through his nose , ignoring the steam that came out of them. He gestured for Bart to come and help him because his back hurt so much. But then again , they were playing flame tag so what if he didn't believe him?!
Groaning, Kevin dropped down on his knees as he still held his back and another coughing fit wasn't helping either. He was tired and as he looked up he saw the other guy turning around to take a look from where he was coughing. He couldn't speak, just breathed with difficulty and he hoped his eyes could tell him that....he was in pain...and he hoped he got the message that he needed help to get back up.

Just as he turned he felt the tickling from the oowww flame attack. Bart started instantly laughing and coughing and coughing and laughing. Flames still coming out of his mouth he fully turned to go toward the boy. His turn and he still had a little of the potion left. If he made it close enough while he was coughing he could hit him one more time. This could work perfectly.
Something was wrong though and Bart tried to stop coughing but couldn't. He knew he wouldn't until the potion was fully out of his mouth. That's how it worked in class too. So the second year hurried over to the first year that was on the floor and looked at him with some concern as he coughed flames all over him.
"What *cough is *cough cough* is *cough cough cough* wrong?" He was really trying to stop coughing and stop the splatter of flames, but they just weren't going to stop anytime soon. So he watched Kevin while he splattered flames on him and tried not to laugh through his coughing, because honestly the dude was on the ground which gave Bart the tagger advantage to get him.

Gosh! These doors were stubborn! Adi vaguely wondered if he would get into trouble if he did manage to get one open. There had to be a reason they were locked, right? What could be inside. He shook the knob on the door he was standing before as if hoping for an answer. The door remained stubbornly locked. Suddenly he heard a voice. Huh? Was the door speaking to him? He was sure he heard "I don't think that will work''. Adi pressed an ear to the door, puzzled. And the voice continued. Wait, wait, wait! It was coming from behind him! The second year spun around and came face to face with that girl from Runes class. Robin, if he remembered correctly. Flushing slightly at his stupidity and hoping Robin hadn't seen what he had just done, he replied, ''Hi. You're right. It isn't opening. None of them so far of those I've tried.'' He shook the knob once more. ''Really?'' Adi was at once interested in those spells. "Where did you hear that?''
As soon as that question was out of his mouth, Adi heard another voice. Hey! It was the nervous kid from Runes class! "Yes, that's the first thing I did,'' he replied giving the boy a look and waving back. It was the first obvious thing to do. Did they know each others names? "Hi, I'm Adi. Second year, Hufflepuff. And I'm trying to get into one of these rooms.'' Bathroom? Talk about change of subject! "Um, it's that way,'' he said and jerking his thumb in the room's direction.

Robin tilted her head, puzzled at why the older boy was pressing his ear against the door. She leaned closer, was there a noise coming from inside? She jumped back when the boy suddenly spun around to face her. At his question she thought back to remember who had told her. "I think I just heard it in the common room from some 7th years, plus it just seems like something that's just against the rules" She was terrified of getting in trouble, what if they told her parents? As her heart was beginning to beat faster she heard a voice from next to her, and both her and the boy from runes turned to the voice. It was Lucas!!! She griiined. "Hey broomhead!, can you tell this guy that it's impossible to get in these doors before he loses his voice from all the Alahamora-ing?" dangit,Alahamora-ing wasn't a word, didn't she feel dumb now. She smiled a bit when the boy introduced himself, Adi second year Hufflepuff huh? "What would be in there anyway?" There was so much to explore in this school, so much that they were allowed to explore she might add, why try to get into trouble?

Were they doing NAUGHTY stuff?

Broomhead. Robyn. Huh. "Hey Robyn!" he said, with a smile. "I don't know.. why is he trying to unlock the door?" That's what Alohamora did, right? Right. "Hippopotamus in a tutu?" he offered, half joking. "You never really know with Hogwarts."
But seriously though. "Why are you trying to unlock the door?" he said to Adi. Was there something he wanted to get?

Oh. Well that would explain where Robin heard that. The students would talk about it, especially those who would have already tried to get into the rooms. He wondered if anyone had any success. "Well, as they are locked I would think it is against the rules,'' he said mildly. His thoughts were focused on getting into trouble. Adi had not gotten into any with the Professors last year. Did he really want to change that? No, not really. But he was so curious! Would curiosity kill the Badger?
He glanced at the boy. "Er, why is she calling you Broomhead?'' Adi asked curiously. ''Oh and it's nice to meet you. How come you were so nervous in Runes class?'' Runes wasn't that bad. Was it? Why would he be trying to open the doors? He nodded towards Robin. "To answer her question. What is in there.'' Are the Professors hiiiiding something? "Aren't you two curious?'' he asked wondering if they had a sense of adventure.

Robin huffed at Adi's dry statement. "Well since you know it's against the rules then why...?" She started to ask and then sighed again, shaking her head. If you can't beat 'em, join em. She wondered how often this boy got into trouble. Her personal guess was that he was no stranger to it, but then how could he be so fearless with his curiosity? She wondered if she should be the one to be curious- she was a Lion after all, shouldn't she be the brave one?
"Okay I guess I am curious but it's probably just something boring, like files or something" At least that's what was in her old school. "Have you tried looking in the keyhole or in the space under the door?" That was all she got.

COUGH.. FLAME COUGH
Despite the pain in his lower back, Kevin still giggled when bart coughed flames on him the moment he stood near him. He took a deep breath to calm himself resulting in a flame coming out of his mouth and he shook his head. He was slowly starting to panic because his back was hurting and he did not know why. Looking up at the older Gryffindor he held out his hand. "Back" he said without coughing but a flame came out of his mouth again. "Hurts" and then he motioned for Bart to help and get him up because he couldn't do it himself.

Finally the coughing was stopping and that meant the flames were leaving. He laughed as Kevin shot a few flames at him that began tickling right on impact. He was still eyeing the younger boy to try to figure out why he was on the ground though. Just as he went to talk another flame hit him and he laughed more, "I can't stop to help if you keep hitting me with flames dude." Not that he could figure out what was wrong they were just playing tag, if the boy couldn't handle a little game of tag dude he was going to be a mess in a few years.
Now that he could catch his breath Bart looked at him with a questioning look. "How did you hurt your back just running around?" He reached for the first years hand and started to help him up. "You need to start working out or something if tag hurt you." Yep this is why everyone should be forced to play quidditch so they could handle being injured.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

"Time for the healer dude."
Slowly, the fire breathing potion was beginning to fade and he only coughed a few small flames until his breathing turned to normal. So much better! He didn't apologize to the older male when he said that he had to stop with the flames though.
"I don't know, this pain shot in to my back when i turned" he said as he grabbed the second year's hand and lifted himself up. Standing on his feet he still held his hand on his lower back before looking up at him. "My parents have always said i had the worst condition" because he ate....A LOT. Like everything that was edible. "But i never thought......NO!" The Gryffindor first year suddenly yelled at the mention of a healer.
"I mean, i'm fine yeah... just some back pain it will be over soon" he hoped. "Besides, losers go to healers when they have a little pain and i'm a Lion so ...yeah!" he nodded his head once firmly , more to himself than to Bart and it was then that he realised that he was still holding the older guys hand. Eeeeh awkward!
Letting go of the hand, Kevin turned his mismatched eye colored eyes at Bart. "You wanna go to the dungeon and find the Bloody Baron?" he asked, his eyes were twinkling and then he gritted his teeth when his back hurt again. "Walk slow though... the youth these days walk too fast!"

He watched the boy and just eyed his scream of no. Bart was dangerous and impulsive but this one might have him beat. "You know we aren't suppose to just fall down for no reason with hurt places right?" Even Bart could figure out something was wrong. This wasn't just something going away.
Continuing to eye him with the losers go to healers comment Bart nodded, but not sure he agreed. If it was him the woman had a potion to get rid of that right away and people were dumb not to go get it, but whatever Kevin liked pain he could stay in pain. "Alright if you say it's going to go away soon." He shrugged it off and watched the boy stand straighter letting go of his hand.
The only thing that could lift his weird look towards his friend would be exactly what came out of his mouth. "Yeah let's head that way." Walk slow? eh this was going to take forever wasn't it, but he wouldn't complain he'd just deal with it knowing they would be jumping through the Bloody Baron soon.
He soon stopped though in his tracks. "Hey dude, I forgot to ask. How did the flames feel? Were they any different feeling since it's splatter instead of a stream?" He was very interested in that part maybe it burned a little with the tickle. He just wasn't sure.

Reason: forgot a part...

"You think i don't know that?!" Kevin let out a tired sigh at the other boys statement and shook his head. He was glad that he had decided to not go to the Healer though. NOT that Kevin was a bit nervous of Healers. No, not at all, he just didn't feel comfortable around them. He had a healer at home and she constantly reminded him to eat healthy and blabla. He was sure that this healer would be the same.
He stopped his slow walk and turned to look at Bart when he too had stopped in his tracks. The flames? Oh right, he had nearly forgotten about it. "Very..." he searched for the word that described it. "Ticklish" he finally answered. "I haven't been active in class so i don't know if its any different" he shrugged and then continued to walk to the staircases. "What did it feel like for you ...and why can't we use the bloody floo network to get downstairs?!" he was getting grumpy as he continued to walk.
