This is the classroom next to where to the storeroom. It is smaller than the classroom. There are twenty working stations. Outside its door stands a rostrum with a notebook on it. You have to sign your name, the date and hour of your entrance before entering the laboratory.
This is a laboratory for students to practise their potions brewing. There is a cupboard that holds every equipment that might be needed during brewing: cauldron, pestle and mortar, wooden and metal sticks, phials, to name a few. Don't forget to borrow protective dragon hide gloves, robes and googles if you forgot to bring yours.
On the board, there writes the rules in a neat, big-sized writing:
Write your name, the date and hour of your entrance.
Clean your station before starting and after you've finished.
Don't forget to take the necessary precautions for your safety: Wear dragon hide gloves, protective robes and googles at all times. I am not responsible if you are injured here.
Do not test your potion on others or on yourself unless approved by me.
To brew a potion with me, you have to schedule it with me first. Otherwise, call me only in an emergency.
The class opens at 8.00 AM and will close at 9.00 PM. Please finish your potions until then or notify me first before starting a potion that will take longer than 13 hours to brew.
OOC: This is not a class. I will not hold classes here. This thread is for role-playing and fun, and will remain open all term long. You don't have to specify the exact date and hour. You just RP your character signing the notebook and start having fun!

He meanwhile listened as Alec went on about smiles and when he told him to judge, Cutty looked up to see the Headboy flashing his winningest smile. It put him in a playful-type mood and his hands and arms lifted as if to block an incredibly bright light. "Whoa! Hey-hey! Wayo! You need to frown immediately. Some of the potions ingredients could be light sensitive, mate." He said matter-of-factly. "Dating for a while? Oh, yeah? Since when?" He asked both for politeness, but also he wondered how long people usually dated whilst they were in school. One month? A few weeks? The whole time they were here?
"H'mm, oh you mean brewing a potion and talking at the same time? Well I have to keep on looking at the book, but basically I try to just remember at least three steps at a time. Keeps it simple, but moving at a steady pace, see." Was that everything? "Oh and do the prep work before. You know, crushing, cutting, juicing, cleaning, that sort of thing." Strategy. Yes. It was a good thing.
When the topic turned to love, Cutty nodded at the mention of cheesy love songs. He knew what type of song Alec was talking about, even though hadn't heard one in a good long while. He let all of that sink in, but it still made it a bit difficult to tell whether or not what he was experiencing was love, having no song to test it on. He was tempted to ask the 18-year old if he knew how to make love potions, but that might have casted him too mischievously before the Headboy.
You'll just know.
"Yeah...YEAH! I like somebody." After all the Valerian had been added, Cutty reached for his cleaned gloves and added the leeches and with each one the potion began to draw redder and redder. "But, I can't say. I don't want to embarrass this person."
Cutty's hair was still perfectly in place from when Alec had ruffled it.
Alec did notice that little smile, which, in turn, made him smile to himself. This was nice, wasn't it? He grabbed the bottle of fluxweed oil and, after cleaning the dropper, squeezed up some of the oil. Six drops, right? If he concentrated enough, he would be able to drop six drops of the oil into the-- ... BLINK. "Did you just... crush the sprigs using your hands?" Cutty was Hulk miniature. He was sure of it.
... SNORT.
And then he started laughing. Full on chuckles of laughter were escaping his lips and only flashed his teeth even more. "That's quite a reaction, you know," he finally managed to say, "I... take it was a good one?" Dating for a while. Nodnod. "Since our fourth year at Hogwarts." A while. Yeah.
See? Boy was smart. Not wanting to interject, the Head Boy nodded in response before letting Cutty continue talking. ... Oh? "I... wow!" His eyebrows were up. Impressive looks for you, fake-Elrod -- yeah, he was going to remember that fake!name. "You must have a really great memory for this stuff." But... him? "I can't multitask to save my life." Which... explained why he didn't really know what was going on with the other players during a Quidditch game.
That nod was a good sign, right? He... hoped so. Yeah. Unless the Slytherin had decided that he didn't want to hurt the Hufflepuff's feelings. Shrug. The fluxweed oil was still in the dropper so... bending down slightly, Alec started carefully dropping the oils into the potion of, currently, warm water. And yes, mentions on how to brew love potions would get you raised eyebrows, Cutty.
One... two... three... four... five... six! Done.
And Cutty was talking too. A small grin spread across the eighteen year old's face. He had questions, of course. Lots of them! Be prepared, young... Potioneer? "Well... I won't tell the person." And he can act normally, yeah? Yeah. Of course!
... But not now. No. So, reaching over, he ruffled Cutty's hair again. Just look at that hair!

Sophie made her way into the lab and began setting things up. She first laid down her bags and personal belongings then put her cauldron in place at a work station. She sighed to herself as she pulled out her notes.
Text Cut: What we did in class
1. Add 300 mililitres of water and 2 drops of Lethe River Water to your cauldron.
2. Gently heat for 20 seconds.
3. Add two four Valerian sprigs to your cauldron.
4. Stir 3 times clockwise AND 3 times counter clockwise.
5. Wave your wand once over the cauldron in clockwise circular motion.
The potions in the room are black and muddy, and the smoke got denser. Professor Cosgrach has fooled you and you have 3,5 hours to fix it and leave a sample of correctly brewed Forgetfulness Potion on his desk.
Text Cut: Correct steps according to a book found in the library
1. Add 2 drops of Lethe River Water to your cauldron
2. Gently heat for 20 seconds
3. Add 2 Valerian sprigs to your cauldron
4. Stir 3 times, clockwise
5. Wave your wand
6. Leave to brew and return in 45-60 minutes
7. Add 2 measures of Standard Ingredient to the mortar
8. Add 4 mistletoe berries to the mortar
9. Crush into a medium-fine powder using the pestle
10. Add 2 pinches of the crushed mixture to your cauldron
11. Stir 5 times, anti-clockwise
12. Wave your wand to complete the potion
Text Cut: What I did to correct things so far
1. Finite
2. Stirred with wand (from the outside) three times in a clockwise direction then three times in the same direction with a wooden stirrer.
So that's what she had so far. That and a whole bunch of bad luck. Now, what had the professor said about undoing things? Grandmother Lafay never said anything about correcting potions, only brewing them.
Alec did notice that little smile, which, in turn, made him smile to himself. This was nice, wasn't it? And Cutty was talking too. A small grin spread across the eighteen year old's face. He had questions, of course. Lots of them! Be prepared, young... Potioneer? "Well... I won't tell the person." And he can act normally, yeah? Yeah. Of course!
... But not now. No. So, reaching over, he ruffled Cutty's hair again. Just look at that hair!
"Verax!" Cutty looked down at his potion having jabbed his wand at it with that incantation. He paused, watching it change from a red liquid to a clear colourlessness before looking up from his brewing hearing a slightly surprised tone in Alec's voice. "Oh, yeah. I do it all the time. Helps m'moom with her potions and her cooking.", he explained. He didn't find these sprigs to be particularly hard to crush, but Cutty was a bit on the rough-handed side anyway and not particularly sensitive.
"Since your fourth year? Wow. You two are practically married." They were probably going to get married. That seemed like the proper Headboy-Headgirl thing to do. Didn't their last Headgirl get married right out of school? He figured Minnie must've did it so quickly because she had gotten fat towards the end of the year and probably wanted to hurry it along before no one wanted to marry her. Marriage was a sham, though and Cutty knew this because he'd seen divorce. Cutty had begun the work of putting each of his ingredients items back into the storage cupboard then slowly getting each of his tools cleaned. "Scourgify!"
Cutty went quiet for a bit until breaking his own silence with a, "Scourgify! Well, are you sure you can keep a secret? Scourgify!" He finished cleaning and put away the instruments that weren't his before putting into his bag the ones that were. "Cause you might know this person as they are Hufflepuff like yourself." He spoke as he phialed his potion and corked it up. "Scourgify!" He said hitting his potion with it. He had all of this things ready to go before he spoke the name. "Fern Quimbley." He waved and smiled to Allec before departing, leaving behind this steaming pile of krup dropping.

The Prefect grimaced at the amount of dust on the jar of flobberworm mucus. When's the last time anyone even used this? You could plant a garden with all the dust this thing had!
She turned to locate the cloth she'd been using on the items in another cupboard and spotted Alice entering. Was everyone in bed then? Alice was more responsible than she was. There was no need to expect otherwise--unless she came to complain about something or someone. Lex....wasn't interested. The girl should have made the long walk to the Greenhouse and told Professor Bentley instead. Oh but no she was asking about the potion.
"Erumpent Potion and I dunno yet. Next kid to royaling tick me off? Or maybe just anyone if I'm bored enough." She would have explained what it did but Lex was positive Captain was better read than she was so...."Thought you'd gone to bed. Did someone set the Common Room on fire?"
Oh there it was. Lex snatched up the cloth and go to wiping. "Is that thing bubbling yet?"
Erumpent Potion? Merlin. "Cambridge, I'm not going to let you explode stuff in the middle of the night. People are sleeping, we aren't meant to be out, you have a patrol scheduled for right now, and I don't plan on getting us both in detention and having to cancel practice, got it?"
With that, the seventh year withdrew her wand from the pocket of her pajama bottoms and vanished the fifth year's whole potion. Yep.
That was what she got for leaving Alice to deal with children.
But since she had no intentions of going back to bed, she grabbed a potions textbook from a nearby station and began flipping through it, old bones popping and cracking as she did so. "If we're brewing, it's going to be something productive. De-Aging Potion?"
Would that even work on whatever was making them old in the first place? Worth a shot.

Ian finished setting up in the potions laboratory after the professor had moved his cauldron here. He set the cauldron back on the stand and spoke Incendio to start the boiling process over again.
So that's what she had so far. That and a whole bunch of bad luck. Now, what had the professor said about undoing things? Grandmother Lafay never said anything about correcting potions, only brewing them.

Cosgrach followed them into the laboratory a few minutes later after making sure everything was alright in the classroom. He glanced at both of the potions and sat between the two.
"You might want to put the fire out, because you don't know anything about the liquid in your cauldron," he said to the boy. "So that's our step number 1. Identify the potion, which steps went wrong and how they should have been." They both had notebooks, though, so he didn't wait for them to answer.
"Step two: start from the last wrong step. I made you wave your wand incorrectly, so that's the most important thing that caused damage. I see you both were successful in reversing that," he eyed them both and smiled, "so step three: reverse the whole steps until you reach a safe point." He paused to take a breath and see how closely they were listening.
"How do you think the whole step of 'stir this and that way' can be reversed?"

Lux had never been to the Potions Laboratory before, but she wanted to make some more wrinkle cream to give her friend Louis and that was why she was here.
Noticing the rostrum outside the doorway with a sign in notebook on it, Lux wrote down her name, the date, and the hour of her visit before stepping inside. There were not too many people inside the room, and she sent everyone a smile as she made her way over to a table near the back of the room. Setting her bag down on top of it, she proceeded to pull out her notebook and all her potion supplies.
It was almost time to start; first the area needed to be cleaned. Picking up her wand, Lux used Scourgify to clean the table and all of her equipment. Cleanliness was very important in making potions, and she took this art rather seriously. What if she opened up a shop like Louis jokingly suggested? Anything was possible if her Quidditch dreams were shattered...
Opening her notebook, Lux quickly found what she had written down for the wrinkle Cream:
SPOILER!!: Lux's Notes
WRINKLE-HEAL
Ingredients:
• One bubotuber’s pus
• 0,2 litre of seal milk
• One hellebore’s syrup
• Two puffer-fish eyes
• One leech
• One water-dwelling planaria
• One middle-sized pomegranate’s juice
• A bunch of asphodel
• 6 sopophorus beans
Procedure:
1. Clean equipment
2. Add some water to a glass bowl
3. Put on gloves
4. Squeeze out bubotuber's pus into bowl and put aside
5. Crush asphodel roots in mortar and put aside
6. Add seal milk to cauldron
7. Heat on high for a minute then lower to medium
8. Add the hellebore syrup
9. Make small cut at back of puffer-fish eyes and squish them into the cauldron (use only LIQUID and dispose of the eyes themselves afterwards
10. Stir counter-clockwise 3 times with a wooden stirrer
11. Lower heat to minimum
12. Add bubotuber's pus
13. Stir 3 times counter-clockwise then 3 times clockwise (use CLEAN wooden stirrer)
14. Add leech then count to 10
15. Add water-dwelling planaria
16. Using wand, swish horizontally from left to right, right to left etc. until milky white potion is a sparkling purple colour (go at a medium pace)
17. Add pomegranate juice and wait for potion to turn lime green
18. Add crushed asphodel roots
19. Crush sopophorous beans with pestle and mortar and add their juice
20. Stir 5 times counter-clockwise with wooden stirrer and turn off heater
21. Wait for potion to precipitate (solid part should be sparkling, light pink, liquid should be lime green)
22. Let liquid evaporate or pour it down the sink
Glancing at the page every so often to make sure she had everything correct, Lux slowly pulled out all the ingredients that were needed to do this.
Okay, she was ready to start this thing.
Getting a glass bowl from the supply cupboard, Lux added some water to it using Aguamenti. Once she was satisfied with how much she had, she ended the spell and put on her dragonhide gloves and protective goggles. She already had the robes on, so she was all set for safety. Bubotuber pus was squeezed into the bowl, and it was set aside.
Moving her pestle and mortar in front of her, asphodel roots were placed inside. Crush. Crush. Crush. Lux worked away with her pestle until everything was a powder. That was set aside as well.
The next step was adding seal milk; so after grabbing some and pouring it into a measuring cup for the correct amount, Lux poured it into her cauldron. Turning her burner onto high, it was left there for a minute before the temperature was lowered to medium. Hellebore syrup was added in, and now the gross part of the potion making came up. It was something she would have to bear.
Picking up a puffer-fish eye in one hand, and her knife in the other, Lux made a slit at the back and squeezed the liquid into the cauldron. The process was repeated with the second one, and the squeezed out eyes were tossed into the garbage bin.
Gross.
With her stirrer, the potion was then stirred 1... 2... 3... times counter-clockwise then the heat was turned down to low. Picking up the glass bowl, Lux added the bubotuber's pus. After cleaning her stirrer again, the potion was stirred another 1... 2... 3... times counter-clockwise and then 1... 2... 3... times clockwise.
Plopping a leech into the cauldron, Lux counted to ten and then added the water-dwelling planaria.
Moving her wand at a medium pace over the cauldron, she swished horizontally left to right, right to left... until the potion went from a milky white colour to a sparkly purple. As soon as it was the exact shade that was reached in class, she stopped. Pomegranate juice was added, and Lux waited patiently as the potion changed colour, enjoying it until the lime green colour was reached. In went the crushed asphodel roots, and the pestle and mortar were cleaned again.
Six sopophorus beans were placed in the mortar, and crushed with the pestle. The juice was added to the cauldron, and Lux cleaned her stirrer before stirring the potion 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... times counter-clockwise and turning off the heat.
All that was left to do, was watch the potion precipitate, so Lux did just that. Waiting patiently, she saw as the potion separated, with the solid part being a sparkling light pink and the liquid part a lime green. As soon as it was finished, Lux carefully poured the liquid down the sink before placing the cream in a container.
Finished in the laboratory, Lux cleaned up her work station and put everything away again before leaving the room.

"You're definitely right there. I wonder if anyone did that." He wouldn't blame them if they did. It would solve the problem.
"So, both of you are correct, but Alexa did that because her potion was moving. So you can use your wand if the potion is moving, but both of yours are--"
Oh wait, Sophie's was. It was turning slowly in clockwise direction and it was red with only a hint of green. Ian's was halfway green.
"So, you know you should reverse the whole wrong step, and you also know if it's moving, you can use your wand. Go ahead." Try to correct it.

So they could have just thrown it out and been done with it?! NO FAIR. She would have totally done that, too! "You know, it's never too late. I can always just dump this batch and start over," she said, eyeing him with a grin. "Just kidding again. I'll fix this, I will."
She nodded along as Culloden explained about Lex's moving potion. "Ahh, I see. So what happens if it's not--..." She stopped mid-sentence. Her potion was moving! WOOT! Thank you, potion, for helping a girl out! She raised her toward the cauldron then stirred three times clockwise with her wand then three times clockwise with her wooden stirrer. "Did I do that right?" she asked.

Ian listened. he liked the idea of starting over. Of course he wanted the satisfaction of knowing he'd fixed his mistakes.
He took his wand and began to reverse the direction of the potion, trying to get it to move back in a clockwise direction. He hoped this would bring some measure of normalcy back to what it should be. He was grateful the professor took the time to help. He really wanted to finish out the year on a better note than how it appeared to be headed.

Buuut... of course... he was visibly pleased with her decision. "Glad to see you are determined." Just how she should be, seeing as she was so proud to have Lafay as her grandma. He watched her with interest and shook his head as her potion got faster.
"We are reversing. So now it's turning clockwise, and you should stir it anti-clockwise."

"Your potion isn't moving, so you don't need any wand movement. Read step four: we've stirred three times clockwise and three times counter clockwise." He looked at him to see if he was following him. "And your potion was half green, meaning you'd already reversed the second part, and only needed to reverse the 'clockwise' part by stirring it with stirrer anti-clockwise." But now his potion began to move in clockwise direction too.

Ian sighed rather loudly. He was more confused. So, he picked up his stirrer and looked down to see the potion begin to move. He quickly picked up his wand and said, finite. Then, he looked back at the professor. I know what clockwise is and I know what counterclockwise is. What in Merlin's name is anti-clockwise? He was nearly ready to throw in the towel, so disgusted was he about this particular potion.

Dear Merlin!
How in the world was Sophie meant to correct this if she couldn't even get past the stirring part of the process! BAHHH. She might a slight frowning face but otherwise said nothing as she began the process of reversing.
Pretty soon, she was stirring counter-clockwise, just as the professor had suggested. "What about now, Professor?" she asked. "Is this right?"
Her eyes met the Hufflepuff boy for just a second. Was he about where she was, or was she way behind? Her mom would be ashamed, she thought.

Then, he looked back at the professor. I know what clockwise is and I know what counterclockwise is. What in Merlin's name is anti-clockwise? He was nearly ready to throw in the towel, so disgusted was he about this particular potion.
Oh.
Cosgrach was sometimes too excited to use common expressions.
"It's counter clockwise." So, he drew his wand and turned it counter clockwise over the potion. It got its half-green colour back.
"So, you're back on step four and you have already reversed half of it, the 'stir 3 times counter clockwise' part. All you have to do is to reverse the rest of it: 'stir 3 times clockwise'."
So he had to use a clean stirrer for that. Just saying.

Pretty soon, she was stirring counter-clockwise, just as the professor had suggested. "What about now, Professor?" she asked. "Is this right?"

Her potion turned half green and half red too, so she was where Ian was, basically.
"Same as him, you've got to reverse '3 times clockwise stirs'."

Ian nodded as he listened. Yes sir. He watched as the professor adjusted the potion and took out his stirrer. He pointed his wand at it and said scourgify to clean it off and dipped it into the potion and stirred 3 times counterclockwise in hopes of repairing his potion (which he would finish or die here an old dried out husk trying).
He took his notes out and scratched through the stirring part.
Text Cut: Ian's notes again
1. Add 2 drops of Lethe River Water to your cauldron 2. Gently heat for 20 seconds 3. Add 242 [i]for reals Valerian sprigs to your cauldron
4. Stir 3 times, clockwise don't go counterclockwise...bad juju
5. Wave your wand[i]not a good thing, leave that alone[/s]
6. Leave to brew and return in 45-60 minutes
7. Add 2 measures of Standard Ingredient to the mortar
8. Add 4 mistletoe berries to the mortar
9. Crush into a medium-fine powder using the pestle
10. Add 2 pinches of the crushed mixture to your cauldron
11. Stir 5 times, anti-clockwise
12. Wave your wand to complete the potion

She would clean the stirrer first, right?
So she was basically still working on reversing all the stirring, right? Right. Ugh. She was ready to start getting a move on with this potion. Reversing was well and fine, but she needed results! She turned toward Culloden and nodded along as he explained what needed to be done. "Right," she said, looking back at her potion.
The potion was now half green, half red, which meant she was at least doing something. "Looks a little like Christmas," she commented aloud. She reached for her stirrer then started to put it in her cauldron. She paused before doing so, though.
"Ohh, I see what you did there. You thought I might stick a dirty stirrer in my potion," she said, grinning at the professor. He was really determined to make them work for this potion, wasn't he? She quickly cleaned the stirrer, grinned again, then set about the process of reversing the three clockwise stirs.

Cosgrach watched him clean his stirrer first and smiled to himself. Good. He got potions brewing alright, and he did the right thing as well. His potion turned green.
"Well done." Pause. He turned to Sophie before he explained further.

Cosgrach chuckled. "It does." It would be a calming sight if it wasn't the wrong colour.
...he laughed again in high spirits. "I did, I won't deny." And she didn't. He didn't know if it was Mrs. Lafay or him, but he would like to think he taught her well.
And her potion turned fully green too. Great!
"Okay, so, both of you," he said once they were done with the stirring, "have to correct the two extra Valerian sprigs. What would you add to your cauldrons?"
Hiss!Roar!Growl!Caw! | Hermione's Double | The Little Three | Alecate
"Uhhh..."
...and so was the initial response of one Sophie Newell. She had no idea what to add to the potion to reverse those extra Valerian sprigs. She glanced at her potion as if she expected the brew to just spell out the answer all on its own.
It didn't.
She blinked then tried to rummage through her mind for some sort of educated idea. "Okay, well...I know that Valerian causes sleep, so it wouldn't really awaken the mind if we used too much of it," she said. They were trying to brew a potion to remember things, not sleep through them. "So maybe we could add in something to produce the opposite affect. Something like...billywigs stings." If the stings were anything like the creatures they were attached to, they should wake things up and get them going--therefore good for a Forgetfulness Potion.
She only looked toward the professor for a single second before plucking two stings out her kit and dropping them into the brew. One for each Valerian sprig.
Yes, this wasn't the MOST creative thing to do. But Caelen was over here to get her potion ingredients for the firstie credit. And the redhead would've went outside first, but after looking over the list of ingredients like five times -and getting a subsequent amount of three paper cuts- THIS was chosen as the best way to get anything done.
Man, the redhead hated it when she had to be uncreative. As her aunt always said "Lyyyn," she had an annoyingly drawling voice whenever she said her niece or nephews names. Rockwell always said that it reminded him of those high school art teachers that she was always watching on her sitcoms. Anyway, "Never take the easy way out, darling. The more creative way is almost always the beeeest way." And then the cookies would start burning and she'd have to push the kid off her lap.
But possibly crazy aunts aside, this is where the little Ravenclaw was going first. And the blue eyed girl knew EXACTLY what she was grabbing. Because she was making that fire breathing potion from the beginning of the year. That was the coolest one that they brewed, in her oh so not humble opinion. Because, who DIDNT want to breathe fire? All the girl with the braid needed was a broom and a costume and she could be a regular old dragon. RAWWWR. Okay, maybe Caelen was the crazy one.
Look over the list of potions one more time.
SPOILER!!: ingredients
• 3 goose feathers (chopped WELL that they look like powder)
• 5 square centimetres of parasites (mycosis fungus)
• Roughly 2 square centimetres fire-crab shell (prepared)
• One fire slug
• 8 drops of salamander blood
• Some flobberworm mucus (depends on how much rigidity one wants)
Alright, she would just have to do some major collecting. Maybe she could get this done today.

...
Cosgrach smiiiiiiled and his eyes shone with pride. "Perfect, Miss Newell." So she WAS Lafay's grand daughter. Good. And she had the courage too, so Cosgrach didn't stop her as she added two of the stings.
"So the sting is correct, but adding two isn't. This is a harmless potion so you wouldn't be hurt even if you added a jar of it, but just because we added two extra sprigs doesn't mean you have to add two of the counter ingredient. What you should do next time is to add one or a small portion if it's an uncountable object, and see how the potion reacts." He watched her potion. He knew what it would do, he wanted her to see it. "See how it didn't react? Shows it's the right thing to add, but inadequate. So we add more slooowly." He picked a few stings and added them one by one -
The potion started to get a darker shade of green and looked generally more calm, so he stopped adding the stings.
"One last question before you can go," he put the excess stings back into her kit, "which step would you go on from?"
But before he got to listen to her answer, Ian said something to him so he turned to the boy, indicating Sophie to wait.

Sir, I saw other students add jobberknoll feathers. Would that suit? He really hoped that was correct.
He was correct too, but less brave.
"Correct." He just wished Ian knew it without spying on other students, but he would accept this much too. "So how many feathers will you add?"
"So the difference between your potions would be, if I were to drink them, I would remember details better but my mind would be too tired to bring them to surface," he was addressing to Ian, and he turned to Sophie next, "whereas with yours, I would forget things easily but my mind would be less foggy." Did they see the difference? He hoped they did.

Ian thought about things and he had heard Sophie talk about waking things up before she'd added stings. While the professor asked the question, he added a feather to his cauldron as he formulated his response after listening to the Professor's thoughts. Sir... he began, it seems like my potion intends to cause forgetfulness by making it seems more dreamlike as opposed to reality. With the stings, it would seem that is more a distraction from the memory? Ian wasn't really good at all this. He was more suited to divinity or even magical creatures. Mostly though, he was more accustomed to learning facts and not practical activity.
Okay, first ingredient. She looked down at her journal and then ran over to the storage and found the goose feathers. She was going to have to grind them then, wasn't she? Because Caelen needed the ingredients in the correct state, right? Ehh, the redhead didn't know. Whatever, she was grinding them up.
And not just because she wanted to go all the way beyond. The girl with the braid wanted to MAKE the potion too. Mostly because the Ravenclaw wanted to breathe fire again. The blue eyed girl wanted to be a dragon.
And not in the weird literal state where you think you're a dragon. She wanted to ride on a broom at home and then breathe fire and mess around in the secluded backyard of Nate's home -her backyard was somewhat secluded and surrounded by wizard neighbors, but she wanted to scare Spencer on the broom.-
Annnyway.......
The firstie went over to the mortar and the pestal and started grinding the goose feathers, which were way easier to grind than she thought. Besides them sticking to the pestal and going almost everywhere. Still, ingredient one was a go. Nicely grounded into powder and ready to be put into a brewed potion. Because finding them in the same room was SOOO boring.
