The class looks the same with two little-but-effective changes: instead of stools, there are proper chairs with soft cushions to sit and lean back on. The Professor cares about his students' posture, apparently, because they are charmed to take the most comfortable shape and height once a student is seated.
The second change is the walls: they are now a soft, calming blue. He is desperate to avoid blasting cauldrons, and muggles claim this colour calms people down.
He opens the door 15 minutes before the class time and sits at his desk to wait for the students to arrive, with a neutral expression on his face.
OOC: Come in, take your seats! The class will resume approximately 7 hours later. You may chat among yourselves, but please don't go overboard with it. Thanks!
The lesson is in progress now, so do not post your late arrival and just RP as if you have been there all along!
Potion progress
• 3 goose feathers (chopped WELL that they look like powder)
• 5 square centimetres of parasites (mycosis fungus)
• Roughly 2 square centimetres fire-crab shell (prepared)
• One fire slug
• 8 drops of salamander blood
• Some flobberworm mucus (depends on how much rigidity one wants)
1. Fill your cauldron 1/3 with water.
2. Add powdered goose feather. Stir clockwise until it looks homogenous and then turn the heater to high.
3. Get your pestle and mortar, crush the parasites for thirty seconds or so, fill the mortar with water, shake it for them to mix better and add it slowly to the potion.
4. Stir counter clock-wise for 7 times and turn off the heater. Let it cool until no vapour is seen. This should take about 5 minutes.
5. Take the fire crab shell but do not add it! Hold it with a metal spoon, lower it nicely into the potion just inside the surface—make sure it doesn’t splash water AT ALL—then start stirring 1 time clockwise, 1 time counter clockwise for 12 times in total. Each stir should take about ten seconds for it to spread thoroughly. Once done with stirring, get it out and put it away on a tissue.
6. Wait for another minute and cut the slug vertically into two in the meantime, add the pieces and stay away from the cauldron as far as you can. If you’ve done everything correctly, the surface should explode harmlessly and start burning. Put it out with your breath ONLY, so you’d better hurry before the fire spreads to the whole surface.
7. Add 8 drops of salamander blood. Alternate between two stirs counter-clock wise, two stirs clock-wise. Repeat for four times. (So you should stir 16 times in total.)
8. Add flobberworm’s mucus to keep it in your mouth better (no more than a tablespoon, not a must).
9. Enjoy.
He heard the laughing and a glare went to the boy. A glare and well as he got next to the boy he turned bum facing book boy and let another one go. Pffft "Smell that book boy" This potion had some fun to it and the gas was the best part at the moment. The professors laugh didn't go unnoticed either he chuckled looking at him before returning to his seat.
Finally feeling like the pain had stopped he watched the other two do the demonstration and was totally impressed by Alice. Pretty and fearless she was just awesome. He couldn't wait for quidditch if she was this fearless she had to be good.
Listening to the professor it was time to breath fire. This was what he had been waiting for. This was sooooo coool. YES! but did he have to put the flubberworm mucus in? Deciding he needed to he added it in he quickly entered the last ingredient now it was time. IT WAS TIME and he knew exactly who he was blowing on.
Evil grin time....
Putting half in his mouth he leaned forward and blew as hard as he could onto book boy, but instead of the flame that the professor described. It wasn't a straight flame at the boy it was a chunk of flames. Chunk or straight stream it was still at him which was fun. The thought of blowing flames at Ian excited him, but it did start him coughing.
Cough, cough, cough, hack, cough
Flames splashing every time he coughed in every direction he turned.
Hawthorne squealed because she was terrifyingly close to the boy that the flames had been blown at. It wasn't what it was supposed to be... that's for sure! And the boy kept coughing and the flames cam out!
"Professor, I think we may have a situ-" Suddenly some flames went by her and her voice rose "-ATION HERE!"
Drinking the potion and for Sander/#1 Finding someone

Turning, she began to look for someone else that was ready for a partner. Then, she saw a familiar face. "Sander!" she called out, waving to him. She walked over with a grin. "Do you have a partner?" she asked him when she got closer.
Tessa had been listening and modifying her potion as instructed. Now came the time to try it. Noticing some of the reactions around her, she carefully measured out Flubberworm muscus into the clean vial that she was going to drink from. She mixed it with the potion and studied the vial for a moment.
Here goes nothing, she thought, and poured it into her mouth. At first, it appeared to be easy. The potion bubbled in her mouth, ad tingled her tongue. Then... the burning began. Now, she had eaten spicy food. She enjoyed it, and had completed dares in the past... but this was beyond that. She gritted her teeth, determined not to show weakness or how much it was affecting her. She gripped the desk, her eyes watering as she kept her mouth closed, hopefully the burning sensation would continue its path quickly...
The sensation slid down her throat like lava, and she gripped the desk harder. She would wonder later if she had left marks in the desk, unlikely, as she tried to control the pain and conflagration that seemed to encompass her entire being. Then, it hit her stomach. She was hoping for relief, but she was not so lucky. That was when the pressure started. She felt like a volcano, the way that everything bubbled and rumbled within her. Suddenly, she felt what she hoped was the steam rising. She kept her mouth closed, determined not to show everything happening within. However, at the last moment, she released her grip on the table and raised her hand to cover her mouth-
Burp! Her hand smothered most of the sound, but the steam escaped through her fingers. She opened her hands, the smoke rising up from her hands, while still slipping from her nose and ears. She giggled, and more steam rose. She ran her hand through it, the steam moving away from her fingers.
Before she tried to find someone to work with though, she watched to see the flames for herself. She took a breath and then gently blew out. A few sparks met her eyes and she giggled at the sight. She blew a little harder and some small flames slipped out among the steam. This was going to be fun.

None of the volunteers had made it seem fun. Only the Gryffindor girl didn't make such spectacle, so it couldn't be THAT bad, right? Either way, Beverly was ready to try it. She wanted to experience breathing fire and this was her chance.
Fire balls!
Did she accidentally down a hot sauce? It burned as the potion made its way down her throat. It was a different kind of burn from hot sauce. Her stomach was suddenly warm. And the burning sensation in her mouth wasn't as intense. Except, she had a strong urge to burp. Can you say EMBARRASSING.
That's the last thing she needed. To burp in front of people. Train Boy would definitely hear her since he was the closest. Beverly clamped her hands over her mouth and squeezed her eyes shut. She WOULDN'T burp in front of a boy. It was unlady-like and it would against all her mannerisms.
Bev started to relax when the urge passed. She no longer felt like she'd drank a bottle of hot sauce and a gallon of fizzy water. Though, there was steam around her. It took her a second to realize the steam was coming from her.
Cool.
Her mouth still closed, Bev's lips stretch into a tiny smirk.
So, she was to breathe fire on someone, correct? Her eyes went sideways toward Train Boy. Heh. Heh. He didn't look like the kind of person who'd mind a surprise blaze, yeah? Beverly coughed, tufts of smoke exiting through her lips, then she BREATHED FIRE ON TRAIN BOY.

Just as he encouraged Adi to take a second go at blowing his breath on him, he turned around when a familiar voice called out his name. It was Tessa. He grinned and waved back.
"I have Adi here but I definitely want to partner up with you too. Do you want to go first?" Sander asked being the gentleman he was. Even as he said that he felt a sharp twinge in his shoulder. Had he pulled a muscle in his back when he had been trying out the potion earlier. Well that was something for him to worry about later.

Sander grinned when the younger boy, flashed a thumbs up and nodded. He like the fact that the boy wasn't afraid to try any thing. His eyes opened wide when he saw the flames coming out of the younger boy. Size was definitely deceiving. This kid may be small, but he had really strong lungs.
Sander could feel the flames tickling his hand. It felt warm but yet it didn't burn despite the look of the flames intensity. Since Adi was going all out, Sander placed both hands up for him and as the flames engulfed his hands, his hands which had felt chilled a minute ago, was now all warm and comfortble.
It definitely looked like Adi had made his potion correctly. "Well done. You did a great job, and no I didn't mind you trying the potion on me. I guess it's my turn now to try it on you. So let's see whether I do as well as you." Sander told Adi.
He opened up his vial and poured some into his mouth. Taking care not to swallow the potion, Sander blew gently at Adi's body. He could feel a tingling sensation in his throat as the potion began to work and he continued breathing, the steam turned to a small artificial flame. Sander just hope that he had perfected his potion. He didn't want to end up burning the boy.
SPOILER!!: Head Girl Quidditch Player Hufflepuff Teenager Ella
[QUOTE=TakemetotheBurrow;11508470]Ella was just eyeing her fire crab shell curiously and thinking about Taco, the crab-not the food, when she heard a frazzled Fern whispering to her. The blonde glanced over at the younger badger and then into her cauldron, noting the lack of spoon and fire crab shell. ...Whoops.
"It'll be okay, yeah? We'll just scoop it out and see what happens? It is in there, right?" The shell and spoon, that is. "Here, take my spoon and scoop them out quickly and carefully. Maybe it'll still work." And after cleaning her spoon, the head girl handed it over and gave the younger girl a reassuring smile.
The potion still looked the same as Ella's so perhaps it was still salvageable. [QUOTE]
Fern watched Ella’s reaction anxiously, her hazel eyes wide; in her nervousness, it felt like the classroom was closing in on her. “Okay, okay,” the second year replied, jutting out her chin and nodding with determination. Ella knew what she was doing. If Ella said it would be okay, it would be okay. It would be okay. “Yes. I dropped it because that boy Bart,” Fern spat out the name, “distracted me. It was his fault!” Again Fern nodded, but this time more fervently. She wanted Ella to know that it was not her fault. She wanted Ella to think she was a potion-making genius. She wanted Ella to say, ‘Hey Fern, you’re so cool. At least as mature as a 13-year-old. At LEAST. We should have a slumber party in the common room and make DIY facials, and I’d totally let you help plan my wedding too.’
Returning Ella’s smile with more nodding, Fern accepted the spoon with the utmost severity and a very solemn, “Thank you.” Then, scrunching her nose in conversation, Fern fished for the shell. After several nerve-racking moments, she successfully extracted the shell, in addition to several little white feather pieces that stuck to the spoon. Putting the shell on a tissue, Fern returned to her cauldron for the spoon. This was a lot harder, and she ended up using Ella’s spoon and her wooden stirrer to retrieve it.
There. There. Fern exhaled all of the breath she had been holding. Then she set to cleaning the head girl’s spoon with a “Scourgify.”
“Thank you, Ella!” she whispered again, offering the spoon back.

"This is the most important step," he announced to make sure he got everyone's attention, "So listen carefully. You should wait for another minute and just cut the slug vertically in the meantime in two." So it should be two thin and long pieces instead of two short and fat ones. Then add the pieces but stay away from the cauldron as far as you can. If you’ve done everything correctly, the surface should explode harmlessly and start burning. Put it out with your breath ONLY, so you’d better hurry before the fire spreads to the whole surface." Got it? Breath and staying as far as possible and everything?
Fern didn’t meet Professor Culloden’s eyes as he gave the next set of directions. He hadn’t reprimanded her yet for dropping the spoon and the firecrab shell into her potion, and she was hoping that meant he hadn’t seen what happened.
When he finished talking, Fern made sure her knife was clean, and then she sliced the slug in two, flinching slightly in the process. Hopping out of her chair, the Hufflepuff took one slice in both hand, and standing far back, dropped them into the cauldron.
“Woah!” Fern exclaimed unconsciously as she watched the liquid surface expload, and she stared for a moment, open mouthed, as it began to burn. Half of the surface was covered in flames before she remembered she was supposed to blow it out, and letting out a squeak of realization, the 12-year-old scurried back onto her stool and extinguished the flames with her breath.

Repeat that for four times, so in the end, you should have stirred for 16 times in total. Once done with stirring, the potion should be dark blue like a night sky. If it is so, you potion is ready." He grinned at them excitedly. They had made it!
"Now, Alice and Bart have already volunteered to demonstrate and share the feeling," he said as he looked at them, "and I want one more volunteer. Someone not from Gryffindor, please." Who was that courageous?
"Those who don't want to volunteer may add flobberworm’s mucus to keep it in their mouths better--it will solidify the potion. It's up to you how much or if, really, but don't add more than a tablespoon of it, and it's not my responsibility if you don't add and swallow some while breathing." So he was warning them. The rest was their responsibility.
"Please wait for the volunteers to share the feeling before trying the potion."
So, the third volunteer?
[QUOTE=TakemetotheBurrow;11508470]Was Fern doing okay? Ella glanced over at the little badger and smiled again, trying to be encouraging. Potions could be tough, she knew, and she'd help where she could. She was still a bit worried about the girl's potion, though. [QUOTE]

"Sorry, but three will be enough," he said to the other Hufflepuffs who wanted to be a volunteer too. He wasn't going to stop them if he still wanted to try it, of course.
"If the volunteers could drink one tablespoon of their potion, and describe the feeling to the class. Come in front if you want, or stay by your cauldron, but please get up so everyone can see you."
Then, he moved to the back of the class and watched with excitement.
He... probably had to apologise to Alice. Probably.
Wiping her brow with the sleeve of her robe, Fern glanced over at Ella and almost squealed because Ella was LOOKING at her, and even more than that, Ella was SMILING at her! But Fern had a lot of experience squashing her squeal urges thanks to hanging out with Elodie and Olly, so she simply returned the older Hufflepuff’s smile with a grin of her own. It didn’t dawn on the 12-year-old that her potion might be ruined due to her slip-up; Ella had said it would be okay, after all. And Ella couldn’t be wrong. So everything was perfect!
Turning away from the seventh year to listen to the professor, Fern’s eyes widened when Professor Culloden called for one more volunteer. Ooooh! OOOOH! Fern would volunteer! She raised her hand high in the air, eager to prove to him that she was NOT a sissy. She was easily just as brave as Bart. In fact, Fern was confident she was way braver than that mean Gryffindor.
But she wasn’t quick enough, and the 12-year-old dropped her hand, dreams of showing Bart up and proving to the whole class how awesome she was dashed. Letting out a disappointed sigh, Fern went back to preparing her potion. She added the eight drops of salamander blood and after cleaning her very messy spoon, completed the correct number of stirs.
Craning her neck, Fern looked in her cauldron. Was it dark blue? Like the sky? Fern thought so. She added the tablespoon of flobberworm mucus with a clean utensil. All done. She smiled proudly at her potion and began to start cleaning her tools and station.

Jumping from his seat he grabbed a clean tablespoon and swooped it into the cauldron then walked nice and not so calmly to the front of the room, because that was exactly where he was going to do this at.
Book boy would see what a wimp he was not.. see he was drinking the potion and it was going to go so well. Easy peasy! Stepping in front of everyone he turned. "AIGHT Looky looky I'm about to drink this stuff." So yeah everyone watch him because it was happening.
GUUUUUULP
Down went the potion, the minute it hit his tongue he fought to spit it back out. That burned, burned his tongue, his throat felt like it was on fire. He fought his face from making faces, but it wasn't going to stay calm looking it twisted and turned in pain.
BUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRNNNNNNN
Forcing his hands in his robe pockets so he wouldn't clutch at his throat as the fire started going into his chest. Steam escaping from his ears and nose. He forced an evil style grin, though it looked like a twisted mess with the pain showing on his face as he opened his mouth to let the steam rush out. It needed to stop.. stop, but no it was still going down in his chest and to his stomach. He fidgeted a bit as it hit his stomach. He was feeling like he was burning from the inside out, but it was an odd pain. It hurt, but not a hurt that would make him double over.
Even though he wouldn't he wasn't a wimp and he couldn't act like one especially in the front of class, but his eyes locked on Alice.. ALICE DON'T DO IT DON'T DRINK IT. He didn't want to see pretty drink this.
Opening his mouth again, "See easy" Steam escaped and his voice sounded horse from pain.
ooohhh pain he then did take his hands and doubled over a bit, that hurt.
Pfffffffffffffffffft
He looked at everyone. Oops well that pain might not have been burning now was it.
Sniff sniff
"Whoa sorry about that" He waved the air around him. That was a stinker, that potion must have rotted him as well as burned him. He wondered if steam came out his bum when he did that. Did anyone see any steam because that would have been awesome.
He headed back to his seat still feeling the burning pain in his stomach.

Caleb was a bit nervous yes, but if you were breathing FIRE, it was only natural to expect it to be a bit uncomfortable! He wasn't afraid. He could handle it. They wouldn't be allowed to make a potion that was a real threat to their safety.
Caleb took a spoonful and, telling himself once again that he could do it, he gulped it down. Immediately he felt like his mouth was on fire, and as the potion trickled down his throat, he felt like someone had dropped a fireball down his throat. His eyes began to water and he coughed, his body involuntarily trying to cough it back up. Slowly it made it's way to his stomach though, and slowly the burning started to go away. His stomach was warm, like he'd just had an entire cup of tea in one gulp, but that was it. He smiled.
"Cool!" he exclaimed, and as he did so, STEAM came out of his mouth and his nose. Like a real dragon! "AWESOME!! SOOOO worth the burning!" he exclaimed with a chuckle as more steam came out of his nostrils. "And I--"
His last sentence was cut off by a giant belch.
BURRRRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPPP!
He blushed and looked at the professor.
"I am SO sorry," he muttered. OHMIGOSH embarrassing. "That was the potion guys, not me!" he told the glass before another small burp escaped his lips.

Standing at her seat and turning to Culloden, she grinned at him broadly as if to show him how fearless she was before drinking what she thought was a tablespoon from the mucus-less vial.
Good MERLIN, what made this HURT so MUCH?
Immediately, her mouth felt as if it was on fire, the feeling continuing all the way down her throat. A couple small coughs passed from her mouth involuntarily, but she was determined NOT to wince. The captain's body had other plans, though, so as she attempted to keep any signs of pain or suffering off her face, her expression was tainted with a bit of facial twitching.
At least the burning sensation was starting to fade. A bit after she'd drank it, a warmth settled in her stomach, and it was better. But Alice knew what part came next, and instead of trying to speak like Caleb, she kept her mouth clamped tightly shut and swallowed the belches threatening to escape her throat. She could almost hear gran telling her that burps weren't ladylike while she struggled to keep them down.
Through the fight, she smiled as widely- or as widely as one could with lips as pressed together as hers were- at the professor. See? Fine.
She didn't even register the smoke issuing from her nostrils. Dragon!Alice. Grrr.
Fern crossed her arms and watched Bart with a scowl as he walked to the front of the classroom. She hoped he cried like a sissy baby when he drank it. But as she watched Bart’s face distort with pain, Fern shifted uncomfortably in her seat, eyes widening in worry and darting between the Gryffindor and the professor. If it was really harmful, Professor Culloden wouldn’t have let any of the students volunteer. Then he doubled over, and Fern gasped, and then AND THEN HE FARTED.
The 12-year-old gagged and pinched her nose, and all concern disappeared from her face. This was why she did not like Bart. He was rude and disgusting!
The next boy was no better, and Fern swore she would never sit in the front again. But if she sat near the back, she’d have to sit near Bart, which would be just as bad. Maybe if she sat in the middle on the opposite side of the room that would be okay.
Finally it was a teenager’s turn, the one Fern thought she had heard the quidditch announcers say bit people. As the older girl stood there, smiling fiercely with smoke coming out of her nostrils, Fern decided that either the announcers had been wrong, or she was getting everything confused. Someone this cool could not possibly bite people. Maybe it had been a rumor started by some student who was jealous of the teenager.

Cosgrach chuckled to himself. He LOVED this potion! "Sure wasn't," he called to the boy. Sure it wasn't him! He was... impressed.
"Thank you, volunteers," he said as normally as he could--he still remembered the fart and burp, after all, and he walked to his desk to sit. He had been on his feet so far and he was 40 years old.
Sigh.
"Spare half of your potion for homework," he said to them, "and use half that should let you breathe fire for seven to ten minutes. Blow more fiercely if you want a fiercer fire, and vice-versa." He checked his watch. "We have fifteen minutes left of the class, so don't forget to clean after yourselves. Leave the fire crab shells on your desks, please." He, himself, was going to collect those.
And those still curious to experience drinking it? He wasn't going to stop them. He just wanted them to know it'd BURN, they'd STEAM and BURP.

Fern spooned the potion into two clean vials – one to use now in class, the other for later. Stoppering the vial she would use for her homework and setting it aside, Fern grabbed the un-stoppered one and looked around for someone to blow the fire on.
Ella was out of the question, because Fern knew she’d want to partner with Alec, and Fern never got in the way of true love. And – Fern wrinkled her nose – the day she asked Tora, Bart, or Cuthbert to be her partner would be the day she lost her mind and became an inpatient at St. Mungo’s. She would have asked Adi, but he was working with a teenage boy, and that was too intimidating. The Hufflepuff looked around the classroom, trying to find someone who would be nice and cool to be her partner, and that was when she heard a girl speak – a Hufflepuff! Fern vaguely remembered the girl being sorted at the Start-of-Term Feast, but she couldn’t remember the first year’s name.
“Hey!” Fern called, walking to the girl after giving a friendly wave. “Hey! My name’s Fern! I’ll be your partner!”

Had he pulled a muscle in his back when he had been trying out the potion earlier. Well that was something for him to worry about later.
"Go ahead. Blow wind blow" he encouraged Tessa.
Tessa nodded, not talking due to the potion in her mouth. She made a silly face at him and then blew a little bit to the side, releasing a few more flames, much to her entertainment, while Sander worked with Adi.
She shot the younger boy a wink as Sander turned to her. However, she noticed his hesitation and frowned. Had he hurt himself? Well, this just happened to be the perfect time for that then, wasn't it? She had a potion for curing right... in her mouth!
She stepped toward him and gently started prodding his shoulder and back. She knew when she found the right spot- after all, she was an athlete and she had needed to diagnose herself at times. She took a deep breath and blew hard, the flames came out large and bright. She hoped that meant the potion was stronger.
It was used up very quickly, and she wiped her mouth clear of any residue. "I'm hoping that helped," she told him with a warm smile. "You hurt something didn't you? See if the potion helped it at all," she said, taking a step back.

Even as Sander was blowing his warm artificial flames on Adi, he felt Tessa prodding his shoulder and back. Had she seen him grimace in pain when he felt that twinge in his shoulder....or was she psychic?...because what she did next almost brought Sander down to his knees. For what she was doing with her breath brought him so much relief.
Even as he concentrated on blowing at Adi's body, he could first feel Tessa's breath and the warmth of the flames seep into his strained muscle. He could no longer feel the tightening of that strained muscle as her magical flame was helping to loosen it up. Sander flexed his back and shoulders and smiled in relief. His strained muscle was healed.
Sander gave her a thumbs up signal and a grateful smile. Once he was done with Adi, he would try the potion on her and see what her reaction would be.

Oh, it exploded! Good, good. He would hate it if another student had to start over, though it would be salvageable in this case, probably. Cosgrach cocked his head to the side. "You might have a few problems with the ignition, but it should be alright." Marvellous, it was, actually. This was a first, but he could understand why.
Oh goodie...it wouldn't cause him any trouble. Well much trouble. Ben would still be able to continue the rest of the work without starting over. And he himself hadn't caught fire unless one counted the bangs above his face that had gotten just a little singed. "Alright.." he said, accepting the man's words and making a note to be patient the next time before going back to the next steps that had been written up. Time to catch up as the demonstrations were going on around him.
Thankfully he hadn't had the chance to volunteer.
The salamander blood was next and Ben took it up with the dropper needed. One...two...three...four...five...six...seven...ei ght. Eight drops done, he stopped it up and put it aside as he took up the wooden stirer once more. Alternating two stirs in each direction.
Two stirs counter clockwise---two stirs clockwise.
Two stirs counter clockwise---two stirs clockwise.
Two stirs counter clockwise---two stirs clockwise.
Two stirs counter clockwise---two stirs clockwise.
BURRRP
Thankfully he had been done with the stiring when the sound errupted from the Slytherin boy. Surely Ben would have messed something up as he nearly jumped in reaction. Ewww. Not the greatest sound to be made involuteerily. With the option to use some flobberworm mucus, he figured just a little couldn't hurt so he added some before scooping out half of it for the homework as the professor directed, capping it for later.

Ian was still laughing as Bart made his way down the aisle and didn't figure out what was happening before it was too late. His face was almost directly on the same level as Bart's as the other boy aimed his bum and released another fiery exhalation. It wasn't pleasant either. It almost had a sulfur like odor that caused Ian to gag. The laughter was over and he was furiously waving his hands trying to dispel the odor. My goodness that boy is dangerous!Ian thought.
As he was adding the mucus to the potion and trying to decide who to blow fire with, Ian felt a warm, tickling sensation on the back of his head. He slapped the back of his head and shifted in his seat in time to see Bart hacking and coughing furiously, flames sparking out a bit with each cough. Ian grinned as he took some of the mixture into his mouth, prepared to return the 'favor'.
Post#3: Blowing on both Adi and Tessa at the same time.

Sander noticed that the artificial flame he was blowing on Adi was starting to weaken. He wanted the boy to enjoy the effects of the potion but at the same time, he wanted to have enough potion to practice blowing on Tessa too.
Then the lightbulb turned on in his head. He could blow on both of them at the same time. So indicating a time out with his hands, Sander waved Tessa over to stand next to Adi. Then he reached inside his jacket for the vial containing the potion, removed the stopper and took a swig of the contents inside the vial.
Like before he grimaced at the taste as the potion touched his tongue, but he fought to keep from swallowing it or spitting it out. Swishing the potion in his mouth to make sure he got every last bit of it covering the insides of his mouth, Sander began blowing first on Adi and then he moved his head a little so that his breath would engulf Tessa too. Back and forth he blew on both his friends at the same time.
Hey he was actually moving his head like what a dragon would when he was blowing his breath all over the place. Sander just hoped that his breath which was now turning into artificial flames wouldn't burn either student. As he got more confident, Sander blew harder and the flames grew bigger.
He wondered what both Adi and Tessa were feeling. For him, he felt a little tickling sensation in his throat and his mouth felt warm but not warm enough to burn.

Whew. It made his toes curl. Mo breathed gently at Alice, watching the fire curl along the edges of her hair. Could she feel that, or was it really TOO gentle? Hmm?

Finally it seemed they were done and it was time to look for a victim. Lex twisted and shifted in several directions. There was just too many people she could have tried this on--
OI!!!
The Fifth Year wiggled a bit at the sudden tickle she was feeling just behind her. Upon turning she saw it was Alice and the surprize factor went down...by like a LOT. It made sense. Alice was one of the only people who'd sneak up on her just to make her a victime. Lex often fell victim to Alice in several areas.
Oh and lookit! Mo!
The good thing to do would be to warn Alice, but the better thing to do would have been to let him sneak up while she casually side stepped until she had a good shot of him. While he breathed at Alice Lex put some of the potion in her mouth then breeeeeathed at him because life was a cycle or something like that.
She spewed another stream of flames in Lex's face when the girl turned around, only to be surprised with a funny tickling feeling on her neck and back. The three of them must have looked quite interesting for that split second where they were all blowing in a circle, but Alice almost at once ruined the effect. Because ticklish. SO ticklish, did Mo know?
Almost at once, she was doubled over and giggling like a little school girl. "Tha.... ti.... tick.... llll..... tickles..... st... sto...." Merlin. The warmth and the tingly feeling the artificial flames also produced went unregistered in her brain, the ticklish feeling surpassing them all in terms of importance. The seventh year attempted to squirm out of the way of Mo's breath, still cracking up.
He was going to get it for this later.

Bri glanced around and saw a girl who looked a little older than herself, waving at her. Bri grinned at the fellow Hufflepuff, who she hadn't get a chance to talk to yet.
" Hello Fern! My Name is Bri! Thank you for being my partner, I will go first." The brunette smiled at the other girl.
Bri poured the potion in to her mouth, careful not swallow any it, and started to blow towards Fern. She knew what was going to happen, but her eyes widen anyway, seeing a bright fire coming out her mouth and hit fern. She kept on blowing, alternating between soft and harder blows. After a few minutes it started to die, until it started to splutter and fully die. The 1st year then wiped her mouth, and smiled at fern. "So how did it feel like?" She asked. She couldn't wait to write to her parents about this.

Tessa watched as Sander moved his body, testing where she had blown the healing fire. She hadn't realized she was holding her breath until Sander smiled at her. She breathed out, smiling in reply. "I'm glad," she told him, feeling a lightness. It was nice to be able to heal someone. Not that she was considering being a healer now or anything...
Seeing him wave her over, she walked over to stand with the younger boy. "Get ready," she told Adi with a wink and then turned to face Sander. She watched as he flew fire first at the boy, and then brought the flame toward her. She closed her eyes, for the briefest second, and then opened them again. She wanted to watch! The flame wrapped around her and suddenly, it felt like hundreds of warm fingers were tickling her. She giggled, and her hands went to push them away- but it was the flames. So, instead, she laughed. As the flames' size increased, instead of tickling, it turned into comfortable warmth. "That feels wonderful," she told him with a smile... which turned into a laugh when she saw him. "You look like a dragon! You're just missing the scales!" she teased him.

As Sander continued blowing as hard as he could, he almost laughed out loud when Tessa said the exact thing, he was thinking about.
Hah! Great minds think alike, he thought to himself. He managed to hold in his laughter because to laugh would mean spitting whatever he was holding in his mouth.
So he wagged his eyebrows at her, began flapping his hands like as if he had wings, and began moving his bottom left and right, like as if he was wagging his tail.
Yes he was a dragon....watch me roar!!...and Sander blew harder, the flames from his mouth getting bigger.

Before he took some of the potion into his mouth to test out, Ben looked around for options to target. It was then that he spotted his friend Adi who he ahd almost forgotten had been working beside him. So intentive he had been in making sure he was doing everything correctly. It probably was a good thing that he didn't have distractions during the lessons to avoid any unfortunate mishaps. But now it was fine to see a friend and use his fellow second year as a guinea pig of sorts for his work. It certainly didn't seem to be harming anyone else as they themselves tried it out.
Benjamin finally took a spoonful of the potion, making a small face as the taste of the mucus still seemed to be present. He then remained careful not swallow the liquid and tested it out randomly in front of him, his eyes widdening slightly at the response. It worked! The Gryffindor then turned to the Hufflepuff nearby and while not stepping too close, gave a blow in the direction of his friend.

Okay, so now that get to try this stuff out. He was so excited. He looked around, for a Victimguinea pig someone to blow his fire breathe on. Once he found Alec, perfect. That would be great. He could tickle the hufflepuff with his fire breath then fist bump about. Yep yep. They were potion partners kind of. Maybe chest bump this time because he was breathing fire like a dragon.
He divided out the potion so he would have the other half saved for homework. He took the other half and put it in his mouth. He turned to Alec was now standing beside the table he was next to. "Yo, Summers!" He blow in him even before his friend had a chance to react to his call.

Woah! Adi had not expected the flames to be that much strong! But then again, he had put everything he could in those last breaths which he supposed had a bit of work out from all those times he did his terrible singing. He felt like a real dragon. Hehe.
He was also pleased at Sander's compliment. Adi grinned. "Thanks. I'm just glad I got it right. It was a complicated potion.'' Maybe Sander won't agree with that. He was older and way more brilliant than Adi. Anyway... He watched as the other boy took a swig of the potion and braced himself. He just knew he was going to be having a laughing fit.
The artificial flames hit the second year. "Woooah! This is so cool! '' It felt so strange watching the fire that looked so real but yet it wasn't harming him, just the tickling sensation. "Is that all you got?'' Adi challenged. Sander seemed afraid of hurting him. But he was tougher than he looked. And then the fire was reducing in intensity. Adi figured the potion was wearing down. "Blow harder next time,'' he said. Nothing was going to happen. Sander brewed the potion right.
But why is he motioning to that girl? The twelve year old was confused. But as she stood next to him, he understood. Okay, the more the merrier. He grinned at the girl. "I was born ready,'' he told her jokingly. And then the "flames" were engulfing them as Sander turned his head alternatively on them. "This is more like it!'' These flames were more intense and Adi felt the ticklish effects even more and in no time he was laughing. It felt as if there were many hands all around tickling him. He clutched his side, almost doubling up. Just when he thought he could handle no more, the potion turned warn and some of the ticklish sensation disappeared and he was able to straighten up. Adi flashed another thumbs up at Sander. "Your potion has passed the test, Mister.''

He grinned at Ben. "Hey, Benny! You're potion works!'' The sensation soon become warm. It worked alright. "Well done!''How about a high five? Adi had his hand up already.

Trying to hold in the coughing because it was getting to much even if he was enjoying chunky flames all over the boy he was tired of coughing, but forcing the cough to stop pushed out a final potion swallowing, burning smelling fart that wasn't quiet at all. "Merlin that potion is worse than eating all those eggs with the groundskeeper." He waved from the smell and realized the coughing had stopped. Fern matched the girl's smile with one of her own, revealing a large gap between her two front teeth. Bri! What a fashionable name! Fern could remember -
What.
Fern blinked as the girl said she was going to go first. No, no, no. It should be the other way around. Fern was the older one, practically a teenager. Therefore, she should go first. But before the tween could protest, the younger girl was blowing fire on her.
And it tickled. Fern began to giggle against her will and tried to cover her stomach with her arms. However, all this did was make her arms tickle. And having ticklish arms was a very uncomfortable and odd experience, so then she started to giggle AND squeal and moved her arms out of the fire's range. But then her stomach started to tickle again, and she covered it back up with her arms, but oh! That was no good! "StohehehestHEHEHEopheheit!" the second year cried between fits of giggles, laughing harder when Bri blew more forcefully.
At last the flames stopped, and Fern, out of breath from all the giggling, inhaled and exhaled very slowly, breaking into laughter periodically. Her arms and stomach were still warm from the flame, and as the tickling wore off, she was left with an overall really wonderful feeling. It was as if she had just woken up from a long nap; she felt awake and rejuvenated and ready to go.
"It tickled," Fern replied, "And, and it felt warm and -," she was about to say nice, but she was still upset about not getting to go first, so instead she went with, "okay."
Fern held up her vile of potion for Bri to see, any peeved feelings quickly replaced by excitement, "Ready for your turn?"

Just as he was about to try and send a flame of fire out at Bart, Ian heard a combination of that horrid smell mixed with a hacking, coughing fart that set Ian about to gagging again. The problem with trying to contain your vomit however was a terrible bit of drooling, which when mixed with this firebreathing potion caused Ian to spill a warming, tickly fluid down the front of his face and through his fingers. This startled him and he inadvertently swallowed the mouthful of potion he had placed in his mouth to flame at Bart with. The reaction was sudden and intense as molten liguid scorched the inside of his throat all the way to his stomach. Ian let out a bloodcurdling scream that sounded like a strangling cat as the pain overwhelmed him. AAAAAUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
Ian clutched at first his throat and then his belly as his insides began to turn and roil. The pain was awful. He knew the others had only tried a teaspoon. He had swallowed at least 2 times that amount. He rolled onto the floor clutching his stomach as the pain overshadowed any sense of embarrassment. He tried to blow out the heat and steam and bits of scraggly flame escaped his mouth, but it didn't quench the fire in his belly. He just rolled back and forth on the floor, hoping the pain would leave him soon.
Tora looked at her potion uncertainly when the professor had said that it was safe to continue. Oh well! She followed the last few steps to a T and was just finishing stirring the salamander blood into the potion when she felt a tickling heat roll over her. She did an about face... right into another fire ball. Another wave of warmth made her smile involuntarily. She should be considering this as a direct attack! She needed to fight back! She laughed as yet another fireball flew over her. It tickled!
OK that's it! She knew who was going to feel her fiery wrath! She scooped some of the potion into her mouth and found her target (a second year lion).

Alec was sitting back in his seat, watching the events unfold. It was... interesting to see how the volunteers reacted to taking the potion. The Fox Guy was... farting, which made Alec place a hand over his mouth to stop himself from laughing out loud. This was only made worse when the other Slytherin guy started burping.
And Hulk? Hulk was made of steel. Alec was sure of that.
Glancing back at his potion, the boy set aside half of his potion for... homework purposes? They'd have to breathe fire all over the grounds or...? Shrug. It didn't sound bad to him. He scooped up the other half of the potion and looked at it carefully. It didn't look bad.
... Wait... partners? They had to try this on someone?
The seventh year glanced up and around the room to try and look for a partner or... someone who wouldn't mind being breathed on by the Head Boy. It would only feel hot and tickle the person, yeah? No harm would be done. This made the boy feel considerably better about this whole process. Finding someone... would be difficult, even for the Hufflepuff. He continued looking around one side of the classroom until...

He divided out the potion so he would have the other half saved for homework. He took the other half and put it in his mouth. He turned to Alec was now standing beside the table he was next to. "Yo, Summers!" He blow in him even before his friend had a chance to react to his call.
... he heard his name... and...
... the boy let out a BARK OF LAUGHTER.
"I--" Laughing. "... I... that--" More laughing. "That tickles!" And WHO was breathing on--
"Mate!" Or was it Ashersaurus Rex now? Alec let out another, this time softer bark of laughter before saying, "Nice flames." Nodnod.
Now... the real question was: could he try this on the Slytherin?
