So the beech tree was fun and relaxing, but Abbi could only take so much of relaxing before she felt the need to get up and move again. It took her barely half an hour to get up from where she had been and head back to the castle where she hoped to find some fun, maybe matress sliding! That sounded cool! Lex would totally allow it right?

Yet the second year seemed to take no rush as she walked back to where she had come from, half an hour, earlier. What was that saying? You rush you crush! Yeah Abbi believed in that....sometimes. But that wasn't really the reason she was slowing herself down, she was in fact playing one of her newly invented games. One of those where you can ONLY walk on a certain something and in this case she was ONLY allowed to walk on dark-green, shade-covered grass. Wasn't so easy with the sun peaking through the tree branches. Nope.

She was TOTALLY being boss though, okay? All she needed were her sunglasses, but heh she was boss with out them. TOTALLY.

Melek wandered around the pathways, not really going anywhere. She was just exploring and having fun being alone. Mel wasnt watching too fast or too slow, just the right pace for her to leisurely walk. Melek wasnt running away or late for anything. It was just nice to take her time and enjoy the outside. Melek looked around and admired the beauty of nature. She loved being in it and she was hunting for good reading spots as she wandered around the pathways. Not many people were on the pathways... just some here and there, occasionally walking and chatting.

Better prepared for the semi-chilly weather than she had been while visiting the lake, Lux had made sure to wear a hat before she started walking along the pathways. Encountering people occasionally, she would smile at them and wave regardless of whether or not she had any idea who they actually were. She wanted to be friendly!

Suddenly, a gust of wind came from behind her, blowing her hair into her face and knocking her hat off of her head. Gasping, she watched it flying away from her before starting to run after it. Her sister had given her that hat! Even if it was not really her kind of thing fashion-wise, she did not want to lose it.

Not paying attention to anything besides getting her hat back, she managed to see a girl on the pathway from the corner of her eye as she rushed past her.

Melek frowned in annoyance when someone rushed past her, totally ruining her peaceful walk but then her eyes widen as she looked. Oh that poor girl! Lost her hat! The annoyance disappeared and she raced after the hat as well, reaching for it. Her fingers touched the edge of it and she stood on her toes and... the hat flew away. Melek chased it some more and finally caught it. Mel turned and held out the hat to the girl who was chasing it. "Here you go." She smiled at the girl, "Im Melek or Mel... whats your name?" Melek tilted her head and looked at her for a few moments. Mel pulled her coat closer around her and she gave a sheepish smile.

Running out of breath, Lux noticed that the girl she had ran past started to help her try to catch her hat. Feeling grateful, she continued running, watching the girl almost catch it, lose it, and then finally catch it for real. Finally able to stop running, Lux walked over to the girl taking deep breaths to calm her heart down again before taking her hat back. She would not be placing it on her head again for fear of it blowing away again. "Thank you so much." She felt bad for almost knocking into the girl now, but it did not seem as if she minded at all. "Nice to meet you, Mel. I'm Lux." Still trying to catch her breath.

She smiled, "Oh, it is no problem at all." Melek smiled at the girl, "It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Lux." Mel tilted her head, "Um... do you need to sit down?" Concern riddled her face and her voice took on a worried tone. She wasnt sure if the girl was having some type of attack or if the girl was just out of shape and the running just was doing her in. Melek backed up to give the girl some space and wondered if she should go and run to get a professor or the healer... or someone.

Laura looked around the pathway. She had decided that she would come and have a look around the school and she was hoping that everything was going to be okay but well she really wanted to talk to her twin sister about things, like what had happened this summer and other stuff because before they had come here they were really close but now they weren't that close and Laura wasn't happy about it.

Oh the pathway. Lana had missed it and she knew the moment she could, she would have to go down it and take it all in. All summer, she had encountered paths that paled in comparison to it. Most of them were just not as green or peaceful as the one she was walking down now. There was a sense of peacefulness that radiated from everything and she was so happy to be amongst it again.

Skipping down the pathway, she took in the sounds and allowed her thoughts to wander a bit. There was still a lot on her mind and she hadn't really wanted to deal with most of it until later. She was just too happy to be back to want to dampen her mood with things that would upset her.

Just as she rounded a turn, she spotted a familiar figure and stopped. "Silly Bean?" she called out, even though she was well aware it was her sister just a few feet from her. They needed to talk and now that they were in the same place and not completely around a full Great Hall of students and professor, it was time. Plus there was no way there could be a scene now. Well, there could be a scene but at least not everyone would see it and for good reason; she know a scene was very possible when it came to the talks her twin and herself had.

Appreciative of the girl's concern, Lux shook her head. "I will be okay, thanks." She was already starting to feel a little better. "Just the adrenaline and I was panicking because I didn't want to lose it forever." She did not like to lose gifts, and she made sure that she kept every one that she got from her siblings or her parents intact if it was possible. "So... nice place for a walk..." she added lamely with a smile on her face.

Melek gave the girl an once over and nodded, "Hmmm okay... if you are sure..." A faint smile came and then she nodded even more. "Okay... that is understanding about." Mel giggled a little and looked at the girl, "Yeah, I suppose it is..." She kept nodding though her head started to hurt from all the nodding so after a little bit, she stopped. "So where are you from? What house? What year?" Melek giggled, "Sorry for all the questions..." A blush appeared.

Laura was just looking at things when suddenly she heard someone speak her name. "Twinnie." Laura smiled and gave her sister a hug, all the hate and all the bad feeling she had towards her twin melted as she hugged her sister. She had no idea why she was hugging her when her sister had abandoned her but well her sister looked like she needed one.

Laura had no idea what to say next, so once she had finished the hug she just stared at her sister and waited to hear what her sister had to say. She knew she would be in trouble for not being at the platform but she had been busy and just forgot the time.

Delilah skipped along the pathways happily. See, she loved every single bit of the grounds. The wooden bridge, the lake, the TREE HOUSE and now, this was her new favourite.

After wandering around for a bit, she put Lola down because she could do with some exercise, really. She eyed her kitty for a bit. Lola was healthy but she was starting to get a little plump. Yeah. Anyway, she slowly walked, trying not to lose sight of her kitty... who was now lying on the grass. SIGH.

"Lola, WALK! Don't be so lazy. C'mon, girl!" Up, up, up, kitty!

EEEK SQUEEE EEEK!

Baalance she needed to balance.

Ooomph.

She had missed that shady spot of grass and instead placed her foot on a sunny patch. GAME OVER. Saaad face. Eh she could play another round and just was about to when she spotted a kitty. A cute one too, but not even a moment afterwards it's mommy seemed to be shouting at it to get up.Poor Kitty.

"Maybe she needs some sugar? That ought to get her to move?" You know sugar made you go ZOOM ZOOM!

Smiling, Lux nodded. She was already starting to feel much better! As the girl kept nodding, she giggled some, she had no idea why but maybe it was an aftereffect of all the adrenaline. Or something. "I was born in Canada, but I live in London now. And I'm a Hufflepuff Second Year. What about you?" She was curious, and did not want to have her feel bad for asking all those questions; really it was okay to ask questions!

She gave a smile, "Canada? What is that like? I havent been there..." or even been close to where it is... "Moved to London? I been there only twice... to go to Diagon Alley and to go to Kings Cross... Is it a nice place?" Melek barely got to explore that city. Oh nice! My friend is a hufflepuff." She beamed, "I am a third year, Ravenclaw but this is my first term being here... I transferred." Mel beamed at the girl, "I am from Bursa, Turkey."

Nod. "I was born in Toronto. And it was nice! It would get cold in the winter though..." She did not really like the cold all that much, she preferred hot weather! "London is a really nice place too, and sometimes my sister takes me to Diagon Alley." Though this had been the first time she had went there to get supplies to go off to Hogwarts.

Lux had not really met any Ravenclaws, so it was rather awesome that Mel was one! "I am new here too. I am so glad that there are more transfers like me, because I was afraid that I would be one of the only ones." It made her feel a lot more comfortable.

... Turkey? "I thought turkey was a food?"

"Oh cool! Im glad that it was nice and cold? Is it colder then this?" She shivered and pulled her coat closer to her. "I am glad that London is a good place too and oh nice! I only been to Diagon Alley once though..."

"You are? Yay! Another transfer!" She beamed and looked at the girl, "I was starting to think that Anna and I were the only ones to transfer..." Melek was starting to like this girl... that was until the comment/ question thing regarding Turkey. Her eyes narrowed into a glare, "turkey is a bird but Turkey is a country." She crossed her arms, "I cant understand why people keep making that comment! It is so annoying! Argh!" Mel grumbled and growled.

Lux was about to reply to the girl when she started getting mad at her and it made her feel terrible. "No one told me before. I'm sorry." She felt really bad and stupid now. "I never learned Geography before." She only really knew about Canada because she was born there, and England, because that was where she lived now. Everything she had learned had been from asking her family, or reading books.

Lex didn't have any particular reason for being out on the grounds today except simply that she wanted to. The girl had never been claustrophobic but MERLIN, one look at that Common Room and anyone would be. Where did all those lions come from anyway? Whatever happened to their odd habits of hiding out in the Library and acting like Ravenclaws? That's what the majority told her they did anyway; the ones she only ever saw at feasts and big events. What was so special about the library? Don't ask her, she couldn't even proper remember what the inside looked like!

Alexa found the perfect tree along the pathways and hauled herself up into it. Good thing she'd drawn on shorts before leaving her dorm, even if she hadn't originally been planning to go climbing. She didn't go very high though, just high enough to oversee a bit of the grounds while still being able to watch people passing by.

It was notably cooler up here, seriously. She could see why Lottie liked climbing these.

Aidan wasn't claustrophobic either, but he needed to get out of the castle. For some reason, he wasn't very thrilled about summer ending and having to go back to school this year. Maybe it was OWLs. Or maybe it was just that his free time to do whatever he wanted was about to be cut down considerably. The farther away he got from the castle walls, the more grass that surrounded the pathways, the more trees he saw, the better he felt about it all.

He sighed as he made his way along the path he was on, beginning to stretch and roll his shoulders. Suddenly, running felt like it would feel extremely good. Maybe he'd take a run around the lake or grounds or edge of the forest.

He didn't see his best friend up in the tree, but that was where he stopped to stretch properly and prepare for the long distance run he decided to take.

Lex had shifted so she was lying on her stomach on the branch she was occupying. There were people passing by every now and then making the ground a bit more interesting than an aerial view for now. Only problem with this position was how her candy bag was so much harder to get into leaving her to shuffle around--nearly falling out mind you--just to get a chocolate frog from the bag.

As she dug through her hand she saw a pack of jelly slugs FALL. Her eyes widened and she scrambled into a sitting position to get a better look at where it'd fallen when she caught sight of someone she hadn't seen in quite a bit since the term started because yes, a week counted as practically forever these days. "Aidan...psssssst." She called trying to get his attention before ultimately hanging upside down to get closer to him. "Do me a favour? Grab that pack of jelly slugs for me?"

The one riiiiight there. In fact, it was by his feet. He hadn't stepped on it, right? "Also, hi." That was something she'd missed out in all her candy recovery efforts. "Did you get taller again?" Asked the girl hanging upside down and unable to tell the difference.

So Caelen was currently wandering the grounds. In fact, she made it her mission. She wanted to know ever knick and cranny of this path by the end of first year. Maybe she could hide things here and let people see it when they walked past. Ohh, the new year always brings new ideas!

And speaking of which, she had some writing to do. Throwing her faded leather bag into the grass, the redhead sat with her back propped up against a tree and her journal in her lap. It was creative time. And by that, she meant write random things down and hope it makes sense later on in time.

First she started writing a letter to her brother, excited to finally get to talk to him again. It felt like forever before the drama started and she was able to help him with a potion or listen to his stupid music. Rumor has it that he tracked all of the places she went, and therefore, she sent him a postcard everynight. But now she actually got to talk to him.



She immediately flipped to another page and started planning up a note fore Spencer, wanting to make the year interesting. She had an idea, but she wasn't sure if it was going to work. Whatever. She was going to make it work.

Writing out the letter, the eleven year old added in an explanation. -Do you wanna play long distance chess? All you have to do is send me a picture of what the board looks like and I move my piece and it keeps going. It sounds hard, but it's not. trust me.- Well that was long.

When she was done with both letters and her hand was starting to cramp up, the eleven year old closed her journal and looked around, looking for all of the things she could imagine. Somehow she ended up falling asleep at the trunk.

"I am sick and tired of getting associated with that stupid bird! Argh!" She kicked the ground and pouted, looking at the girl. "Next time I get asked... Im just going to say Bursa!" Melek crossed her arms and huffed. Mel sighed, "Its not your fault..." She grumbled a few times and looked at the girl, "Sorry for my outburst there... but do you know how annoying it is to get associated with a bird just by your country? And now I am associated with eagles and ravens probably because of my house!" Melek sighed and looked down, muttering to herself.

Errrr, Lux was feeling kind of awkward now with the turn this conversation had taken; though she did sympathize with the girl. Who wouldn't dislike being associated with a bird? "Its okay, I understand. I'm not sure why people would do that, you are a person, not a bird... I just never heard of the country before like I probably haven't heard of many others." Lux was terrible with that kind of thing, as it did not interest her. "You should be happy to be in Ravenclaw, because it associates you with intelligence. I wouldn't think of you as an eagle, or a Slytherin as a snake. They are just mascots, nothing else." She gave a little shrug of her shoulders. Hopefully people would stop thinking this girl was associated with birds.
