After being allowed to walk through the two polished doors, you're most likely to be welcomed by professor Botros' Crup, Feo. The office is relatively larger than expected, with bookshelves lining the walls, along with artifacts, figures of runes of all alphabets (duh), and several copies of The Pocket-hanky Ultimate Board. To the right and right after you see a basket with a bunch of walking canes inside, there is a small coffee table with a bunch of rolls and parchment on top, a vase of red roses is always perched up too and professor Botros sometimes is seen watering or wiping their leaves gently with his hands. Next to that coffee table is a higher stool with nothing hovering over it anymore.
There are two elegant chairs facing each other and placed right in front of the main desk in the room where you're supposed to sit once Ab ushers you to do so. His desk is as tidy as it is crowded with parchments, books, his spare glasses, and colorful pieces of clothes that you soon will discover it's an unfolded pocket-hanky. To the far end of the desk, safely away from the guests, sit several family muggle pictures of a young man with glasses, and a young woman leaning against that young man. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that this is professor Botros fifty years ago, and then him with his beautiful wife.
On the back of the big door, there is a new parchment with a cute doodle on it. It's the first student souvenir Ab brought from one of his 'kids', to the side of that paper hanging a small piece of wood, and then a pendant shaped as a box with some dust inside. Recently, there's a letter in runic alphabet stuck on the door as well.
OOC: please do not post in here until after posting in the seating area thread and being invited in by the professor himself. Posting in here without an invitation will result in deleting your post, and you getting a frowny face from me.
Botros' eyes had glanced between the man checking his office and the other Governors as they questioned him. Bloody man wiv his exotic accent and ungodly good looks. No one questioned that now did they, noooo, it was just poor ole' Botros, and for getting his golden curls back.
The professor remained politely expressionless, though. Even in his youth when he had the ability to be annoyed at people, Botros had always been polite. "I vhink-- think she won't mind, no." He scribbled down her name and slid the paper over to them. "I contact her at St. Mungo's."
Finally, someone who would be able to provide some answers. Erik ignored the slight against his accent and accepted the piece of paper. It only took one glance at the name to memorise it before he folded it in half and tucked it into the breast pocket of his suit.
"I have no further questions..." he mentioned, glancing slowly toward Ivy. "But I vhink I vill go speak to the President, if you'll excuse me..." They really needed to get a move on if St. Mungo's was going to be of any help. He gave a small nod toward Botros and Atticus and showed himself out of the office.
Entering the office he thought to himself What happens if he gives me something wrong? Because if Caelyn's theory was correct then Botros was just the Time Thief that drank a polyjuice potion to look like this. Oh well, it's worth a shot. "Professor, I came to ask you a question. I was wondering if there was a potion that could reverse the aging process. With this whole epidemic happening it would seem extremely helpful to know information regarding that." This he would solve. With his mini sidekick Caelyn.

Botros nodded back at the man, then glanced at the other Governors. Was this over already?

Botros paused his reading to look up at the Hufflepuff boy who wasted no time in greetings and cut to the chase. "Go ahead." Ask it. Everybody had questions for him lately, how strange. "That's the million dollar question. I'm afraid I cannot give you a satisfactory answer, though. The staff and Board of Governors are looking into this." He didn't have to worry his little mind over it.

Botros supported her to get up, keeping his arm looped around hers (awkwardly because of the height difference) and guided them both towards his office's door.
Ella felt extremely silly as she let Botros lead her tiny form into his office. The good part was, he had this way of making you feel comfortable even when you'd done something as daft as falling asleep in the corridor. Like a hundred people had done that before and it was nothing to feel weird about. Gifted, he was. It must be nice to be able to put people's minds at ease so easily.
"Thanks for the help, Sir." She smiled a little at him when they got inside and then slowly moved over towards a seat, needing to get off her feet. "I really hope this isn't an imposition, Professor. I just didn't have a chance to talk to you after our last class." And she had things she wanted to say, something to give him too. She wasn't interrupting anything, right?

No definitive answers then. That was expected, though still unfortunate. Requesting her and others to come and help find the answers was definitely a good step forward and hopefully that would get them on their way to a proper cure for all this.
Atticus returned the brief nod from Erik and then turned his attention back to Botros. "I have no further questions either. Thank you for your time, Professor." He smiled briefly and gave him a polite nod as well before heading out of the office.

Good, they finally had a good lead. Sensing this interrogation was coming to a rather successful close, Ivy set down her cup of the tea she had never taken a sip from and nodded at the young Runes man. "Thank you for your time," she said and excused herself out of the office right after Erik and Atticus. Poor man would probably hate them once he got his old face back.

Botros had nodded to them both, offering Mr. Atticus a small smile as well before he left. WHEW. Finally.

"No problem." He smiled at her and made sure she took a comfortable seat before going around the desk and taking a seat himself. "Not at all, dear. I was just going to return those books to Mr. Kitridge. Nothing urgent." He folded his arms and leaned forward with a small smile. "How have you been? Aside from all this..." The aching bones and such. Sigh. It broke his heart and he wished he could help in any way he could.

Ella was relieved that she wasn't interrupting and she relaxed a bit, an easy smile tugging on the corners of her mouth. "Reading anything good, Professor?" She'd been focused on text books lately so anything else sounded fascinating to her right now. Seriously. As for how she'd been, the eighteen year old shrugged. "Busy is the best way to describe it, I guess. Just um...studying for NEWTs and making post-Hogwarts plans." And trying desperately not to die from this stupid aging thing that no one seemed to be able to cure. It was getting really hard not to be hopeless about that but she didn't want to be a downer. Not at all.
"Can't believe the term is nearly over. It went by quickly, didn't it?"

He waved his hand carelessly, "Nothing without runes or history in it." Botros forgot when was the last time he'd read something for fun, actually. "My grand kids try to recommend me these... graphic books, what do you call them? They're comics, they're published once a month. I sometimes read them for the littlest ones. Does that count?" He chuckled, a bit embarrassed for some weird reason.
Studying for NEWTs made him smile encouragingly, his face brightened more clearly now that it had a better skin condition than before. "Busy is good." Rather than focusing on this evil epidemic, she should focus on her exams and post-graduation plans. "May I ask what you're thinking?" He got that some things were better private but being her professor, he could offer her the best advice he could.

Comic books? Ella smiled and sat up a bit straighter, both amused and delighted by this. "That's nice, Professor. My dad and little brother love comics so I'm no stranger to them." She'd also lived next-door to Oakey who was also a fan so yeah, plenty of knowledge about this type of reading material. "And yup, I think that definitely counts as good." Definitely.
"It can be, yeah." Busy could also be exhausting, especially now, but Ella kept that to herself. She'd been complaining too much lately and was breaking that habit. She didn't want to be negative anymore. "Of course, Sir. I'm actually pretty excited about things." Future things and she was more than willing to discuss them. "I'm planning on going to university to study Magizoology. Actually, that and Cryptozoology if I can manage it." Double majoring could be tough and a lot of work but Ella was a determined person and she wanted to give it a shot. She smiled nervously up at Botros, hoping he didn't think her crazy for taking it on. Actually, she was really eager to hear his thoughts. She trusted his opinion and could use some reassurance.

Aaah! Botros raised his eyebrows in reaction to the little information about her father and brother. "They seem to be quite popular- definitely more popular than I remember them." Or maybe he just wasn't in the right crowd.
When she said she was excited about future plans, the old man got excited for her and even before she continued. Nothing was worse than a bleak future. "Ah, that's wonderful!" Magizoology was sweet but Cryptozoology was even better! "There's an advanced runes course in Cryptozoology, it'll be a piece of cake for you." He waved his hand as if it was nothing, the grin on his face was meant to give the Head Girl reassurance on her choices. "You'll do great, my dear, you're one of the bright students, the brightest in my class. Have you applied to a school, yet? Do you wish to go abroad on a foreign campus?" He'd encourage this, widening her horizons and helping her to grow as a person. If her personal life allowed it, of course.

"They are, yeah. It could also be that many are about super heroes. I mean, people like a good hero story, yeah?" Merlin knew her dad and little brother did. It was something they bonded over which she thought was nice. Didn't hurt that she was a fan of those stories too. Theoman and Ella Woman, remember?
"I think so too!" That it was wonderful. It felt good, having a plan. It'd taken her a while to get to this point and the confusion that had been there before was replaced by confidence which was new to her. She'd never been more sure of something. The Head Girl cracked a nervous smile about the advanced course, eyes on Botros. "Your confidence in me means a lot, Professor. I find it hard sometimes to keep up with all the material but I try really hard. It's nice that that shows." And it made her feel proud which was something she didn't feel often. "I actually applied to Edinburgh. I was considering going further but things at home are...complicated. I don't want to be too far from my family right now. Plus I think...well that it'll be a good fit for me." At least she hoped it would be.
Oh, and the reason she was here! Ella reached down and pulled something carefully from her pocket. She fiddled with it for a second before leaning forward and placed the creation on Botros's desk. "I know it's silly but elephants are my favorite and I just wanted to give you something because I think you're...well you're just really brilliant. Not just as a Professor but as a person." And the origami elephant would hopefully remind him that someone noticed and appreciated him and what he'd brought to Hogwarts, y'know?

Heroes, ah yes. Botros chuckled, those comics brought you joy and lightened up your heart even if you were not a fan.
Aw, he leaned forward across the desk and extended an arm towards the girl without really looking for any contact, just some sort of closure. "The effort is what matters most in school, dear. Any professor, no matter how strange and eccentric they are, they always know when a student is trying their best or not - and to them, this is all that matters." It wasn't the same thing in higher education institutes. "It's a little different, as you'll see when you go on in your education, but I trust we've prepared you all well for what's to come after Hogwarts." He pulled back his arm and felt himself getting emotional. After all those years of teaching, he still had a hard time saying goodbye to a student.
Edinburgh? "Sounds great and considerate choice, my dear." Whatever fit her circumstance. He smiled when she went on, pulling something out and placing it on his desk. Botros got up and went to sit on the chair opposite of hers, he took the cute elephant and examined it. "He's so adorable." Botros chuckled and leaned to give the girl a pat on her cheek. "I'll cherish it and place it right there next to your doodle." And why waste time? Botros got up and went to his office's door. With the help of his wand, he stuck the elephant next to Tobias' letter.

Ella listened intently to Botros, considering everything he said. His words were reassuring and kind which comforted her. At least now she knew for sure that despite her shortcomings, her efforts were noticed and appreciated. That meant a lot, especially when you went to school with so many talented people. It was easy to feel lost sometimes but Botros had the ability to make you feel like he really saw you, knew you were there. It was nice. "That's really good to hear, Professor." Really good. "And yeah, I definitely feel prepared for whatever they throw my way next. A bit scared, of course, but prepared." And she'd keep trying no matter what, that was sort of in her nature.
A great and considerate choice. Ella smiled a little and nodded. "I hope so. It feels right so I'm trusting my gut on this one." And if it didn't work, she'd have to get a new plan but she'd deal with that if and when the time came.
When Botros moved closer, Ella shifted in her seat to watch his reaction. She couldn't help but smile as he observed the small elephant, glad he seemed to like it. The pat on the cheek made her smile wider and she replied sheepishly, "Maybe it'll bring you good luck. They're meant to be when their trunk is up like that one is." And seeing him put it up next to her doodle made her a bit teary, like this was the ending of something big. What else could she say? Well maybe a simple, "I'll miss you, Professor." Honestly, she would.

"You sound like you're on the right track. What you're going to face after Hogwarts is a bit intense at the beginning, try not to be so harsh on yourself. Don't ask too much too soon, be gentle and try to wade through the bad to reach the good." He draped his arm around the girl's shoulder and stood with her in silence in front of the elephant.
Good luck charm? Ab chuckled and tickled the paper elephant with his fingers. "I'm counting on you, buddy." Then looked down at the Hufflepuff soon-to-be alumnus. "Good luck to you, too, Ella."
