| | of Headmistress Truebridge
If permitted to enter the highly exclusive and incredibly pink palace of Headmistress Anastasia Reina (née Bunbury) Truebridge, please take a moment to allow your eyes to adjust. The current occupant of the Head chambers has distinct fashion tastes unlike any of her predecessors. And yes, she does re-do her office every three few years.
The large, thick black desk, which is easily the largest item in the room, rests on a fairly new, geometrically patterned pink and black carpet. In front of the desk are two nearly new black and pink, modernly styled guest chairs; behind it is what can only be described as a veritable throne. This, obviously, is where the Headmistress sits when she is in the office. If you're here to speak with her, you might as well have a seat in one of the guest chairs. You aren't welcome elsewhere in this office.
As you take your seat and look around, you'll notice that the room is lush with healthy green plants in black pots; new black curtains which are usually pulled back from the spacious windows; books and magazines scattered on matching black wooden end tables; and lots and lots of framed personal photos. Most of the photo occupants (the ones that you can see, anyway) are the Headmistress' husband, a former professor himself, and a baby photo of her now six-year-old son, who is certain to grow up to be a genius. The largest photo, which sits facing the Headmistress' throne and the large window behind it, is of the three Truebridges from before they left Egypt.
The other frames on the walls of the room include portraits of former headmasters; a glass-encased man's cane; and a framed scrap of paper from one of Hogwarts' own student publications. In the back corner of the room, near the door that leads to the rest of the Headmistress' chambers, is a collection of very rare brooms locked up inside a black wood corner cabinet. In front of the cabinet sits a large pink wicker basket, usually containing a very pampered, very fat ginger cat. This is Gingersnapple.
Gingersnapple is most protective of his master's chambers, so if you truly wish to speak the Headmistress in her office, be aware that you are doing so at your own risk. Please note: This room is an animal-free zone... with the obvious exception of Gingersnapple. OOC: You absolutely may not enter this office unless given the password or given IC/OOC access by the Headmistress. If you RP yourself here without following instructions, your post will be deleted.

Okay, so maybe Cece was a little bit on the defensive side, but really who could blame her. Carter had basically accused her of not trying to figure out any possible solutions to the oh so apparent problem that was going on in the school. And no, his question was not a reasonable one. A reasonable one would have been more like, 'What kind of tihings have been tried so far?' Not, 'Has anything been tried so far?'
Whatever.
At least the headmistress was finally awake. Even if she looked like she was lost there at her own desk. This was not a good impression being made on the governors, that was for sure.
Wait a blast ended skrewt minute there. Others had been talking to Culloden about their aging issues and he failed to let her in on it? What the hell! Did he not think it was important enough to let the HEALER of the school know about such conversations with the students? How the hell was she supposed to be doing her job if professors like him kept important bits of information from her?
FINALLY!
The Board of Governors thought it was time to take action. Of course it only took the president's son looking like a little old man for this to happen. And being the president of the board, how was it that the woman didn't already know that the ministry had sent in some of their healers not so long ago? Way to keep up on the current happenings at the school madame president.
And you can stop with the looks Culloden. Yeah, we see the way you're looking over here.
And there goes Annie getting all worked up over them useless healers from the ministry... and talking about dying. "You can just stop that sort of talk now headmistress. No one is dying here. We will figure out a cure for this little problem you and so many others are having." They just needed to get someone in here to help with this situation that knew a little more than what she and those ministry healers knew.
Oh look. Vinteren was there now. At least he had something useful to say here. "I agree with Mrs. Branxton on this one. We're going to need more than one healer to help with this. But healers from St. Mungo's does sound like a much better idea than those ministry healers."
Aww, look at that. Little old Sophie trying to help out here. "Sophie dear, I've already tried that potion. It was one of the first things I tried." She had even conferred with Hecate on this one just to make sure she was brewing the potion correctly. Yeah that's right, she skipped over Culloden and went to the one potions master she knew and trusted.
She turned her attention back to the Gvvernors. "Well what are we waiting for? Someone needs to get those healers from St. Mungo's here." Like yesterday.

| ¼ of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pls Well, then. They were done here, no? Cosgrach didn't want to listen to Annie speaking silly about her death and afterwards. He also didn't want to take orders from these border whatever people, so he moved towards the door. "Let's go owl to her, yes." As Cece put it. He opened the door and stepped outside.
Well? Were they coming? |
