Dead Kneazles! SPOILER!!: If you've mentioned the Band... All eyes were definitely on them now...if they weren't before. As the music progressed and she matched her vocals and tone with West's, Vesper found she welcomed the eyes of her friends...and the others that she didn't really know. It actually felt good to be the center of this type of focus. Unlike Quidditch that was such a rough sport...there wasn't anything rough and brutal about this. At least...not right now. The Ravenclaw wasn't nearly old enough to know that kind of pain. ...The performance aspect was different from quidditch, too...and she was definitely putting on a performance for this audience. She'd read somewhere once that when you put on a show for people, you give a part of yourself away...Give a part of yourself over to them. Vesper got that now. She did feel like she was giving things away with each song they did...but for the sake of the show, the band, and the audience, she didn't care. They were sharing something magical in this moment. SPOILER!!: Flamnos! Also, was that Professor Flamsteed and Professor Romanos out there on the dance floor? Ves didn't miss a beat with lyrics and her tambourine, of course...but the sight was still interesting to see. How cute were they? Maybe she could sing something just for them later...Lifting her gaze to West's, surely they could work something out. There would be the requests portion...if time permitted. SPOILER!!: Dead Kneazles! Ascanius was going NUTS back there, wasn't he? Vesper turned her back towards the crowd, giving Ascanius some appreciation as he went through the drum fills and skimmed his cymbals. The Slytherin's face was intense, too...and Ves had to force herself to keep singing and jiggling her hand. She wanted to full out fangirl her bandmates, okay? And not just Ascanius and his noise...but Nigel, too...because he was so cool in his white suit, strumming at his bass strings, looking rather calm...and West...Well, what wasn't there to appreciate about West? Seriously. From Queen, to Aerosmith, Vesper was forced to push her voice...as Freddie Mercury and Steven Tyler were both in those upper registers. West had been right there with her, of course...the two of them playing off each other's vocals; complimenting and supporting where needed. Ves decided, as a whole, it was much better having someone to sing with (on top of the playing). When she'd finally taken her place behind the piano with Queen, adjusting her mitt and running through those first keys with ease, it been instant relief. In reality, the Ravenclaw was a piano player first; a singer second. Besides, being behind the piano...she got to watch both West and Nigel rock out...without feeling like a creeper for doing so. Ugh, her bandmates. There was something magnetic about each of them; something that commanded your attention and didn't allow you to look away...How lucky had it been, getting this caliber of talent together within the school? Though, the slight awkwardness for her there was that...all this music made her feel all the things...and that was a dangerous zone to live in. Emotionally, Vesper gave so much of herself to the music...Unfortunately, music had no master. Unknowingly, she sent another heated look to Alice. When West announced the next number, she took a calming breath. Despite the personal repercussions, Vesper began to play; looking up at West steadily. The best duets required eye contact and proof that you were feeling the music. So, she was going to give it to him....For the sake of the audience.....you know. "Picture perfect memories...scattered all around the floor." The vocal was low, in her throat; not as complex in melody as the previous songs. It meant she could really focus on the emotion of it. "Reaching for the phone 'cause I can't fight it anymore." Was her face doing a thing? Was it giving her away? West's voice joined hers a moment later, backing and supporting in matching tones. "...And I wonder if I ever cross your mind..." Her vulnerability mixed in with that slight falsetto there..."For me it happens all the time..." There was a fade off and pause. "It's a quarter after one...I'm all alone and I need you now..." Fingers continued to fly over keys as she sang, offering up all the song feels. "Said I wouldn't call but I've lost all control....and I need you noooow." Still giving the feels. ".....And I don't know how I can dooo without...I just need you nooooooooow...." .................... Vesper hoped everyone was enjoying this. New song soon, right? *MENTAL FLAILING* OOC: I has permission to godmod fellow band members! |

To anyone watching, however, it probably looked like a father dancing with his daughter. Or grandfather with a granddaughter. Or GREAT grandfather with...well...you get the picture. When the music changed it took him a few moments to register the new beat before he subconsciously pulled Medea a little closer to him and leaned his cheek against her hair, humming what parts of the song he could remember into her ear. "I need you noooooow." |
Text Cut: Penelope! ........... Blink blink. Ascanius? ASCANIUS? He was her boyfriend? Delilah blushed, feeling quite embarrassed. Hadn't she just winked at him a few seconds ago? Right in front of Penelope? Oh, goodness. She cleared her throat, managing to give the other girl a small awkward smile. "Lucky girl." Oh, heck. She definitely was. Ascanius.. Yeah. Definitely. Delilah was having a FANTASTIC time, okay? It was all so perfect, you know? Music, dancing, friends, food.. she was feeling good. Like, really good. This was just what she needed. A break from all the stress lately. Also. Vesper's voice was beautiful. Like.. really beautiful. Honestly, Delilah normally probably wouldn't ever like a Fleetwood Mac cover because well, the band was EPIC and to even attempt to cover any of their songs would be.. wrong. BUT, the Dead Kneazles' version was almost as good. /Almost./ Delilah was quite impressed. She started to sway to the music, singing along but not too loudly. Yeeeeah, she knew the lyrics to every Fleetwood Mac song. A huge fangirl, see? QUEEN. AEROSMITH. Delilah LOVED that song so much! "......I don't want to close my eyes, I don't want to fall asleep..... 'Cause I miss you babe and I don't want to miss a thing...." She kind of wished she'd slow-danced to that song with a certain someone but oh, well. ... Oh, awesome. She bit her lip as Vesper started to sing Need You Now. Uh. That song.. She flushed slightly but didn't look too excited. For reasons. The girl ran a hand through her messy blonde hair and looked around to distract herself until this song finished. |
Yke/Donny <3 WHEEEEEEEEEEE. TODAY WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY. MHHHHHHMM All bouncy and smiley, Abbi made her way inside the great hall. She was earlier than she was meant to be and that was cause she wanted to explore a little on her own before she met up with Lucas. It wasn't like she was nervous or anything, nope, nope. The band and the music is what caught her attention first and that's exactly where she stayed for a few moments. Swaying to the lyrics of I need you now, it was real soothing and all lovey dovey which meant it suited the occasion. You know it was the perfect music to create cooties and all that. Cooties...well hugging...well kissing. What if Roda wanted to do that? O_______O NO NO. She'd be in control. Miss Abbi Campi always knew how to be. Totally okay? |
Anyone, someone save her! ^^ What was Bliss even doing here? There were so many reasons that she shouldn't be here, but here she was regardless. She wasn't really in a Valentine's Day type spirit either, but the music promised to be good and she did really want to hear more from West's band But now it got awkward. Did she just stand and wait for some lonely couple to take pity on her? Were there other singles that she could talk to? Food. That was an option of course, but she could see Alice over there, so it was an option she'd avoid for now. For now, she'd settle with standing on the sidelines, listening to amazing music and sending 'desperate-but-not-desperate' glances at people. Sounds like a plan. |
i'm on my friend's teeny tiny laptop so this is an awful post i'm sorry ;-; SPOILER!!: Soph and Marigold "We can check everything out," Tobias had said, once Sophie had given him the rundown of what was up at the Ball. It all sounded worth checking out; and may as well make the most of the day, right? Adventure time ahhhhh yea. He was just about to suggest getting up to maybe dance or something when Marigold showed up. "Hey Marigold!" Toby replied cheerfully, giving her a wave and a smile. "This is Soph." But then, was that kid her valentine? Toby gave him a smile too and then looked back to Sophie. "D'you fancy a dance?" he suggested, brushing the remainders of the crumbs from his fingers, |

Her eyes left the stage and surveyed her best with an amused expression. "You gain that much weight? Impossible. That would be like me doing all of that exercise I hear all of you quidditch players speak of." Dora was still recovering from her spontaneous run with Botros, did not need anymore of that. "The chicken doesn't look so bad." She observed. "Or the fruit. Fruit is really good stuff you know." Did she? She had to. Quote:
"She's not..." Her eyes, which had been sweeping over each member while they sang, now focused on Vesper who was... yes. She was tossing looks Alice's way. Interesting that. Mostly, a total mood killer. The sixth year moved off the table and kicked off her heels, reaching out for Alice's hand. "I think it's all the make up. Too much of it. Come on, too many songs have played and I want my dance now." She made a show of wiggling her toes. "Even took my shoes off. You'll have to do the same if you're standing on me." |

After Sander and Tessa wandered off to be lovey-dovey and then Lux and Bay disappeared into the Tunnel of Love, little Lou was left all by himself at the table. He didn't mind, though, and distracted himself watching the surprisingly good band perform until he started receiving disgruntled tweets from his best mate who'd just been kissed by a spontaneous Lux. Oh dear. Louis tried not to laugh at the situation between his two best friends and left the empty table to wander over to the food tables, where he proceeded to pick a heart-shaped chocolate. He took a bite and looked around the crowded Hall, watching as couples danced on the dance floor and the one-man shows gathered at the anti-Valentine's food table before wandering off to the games. Lou considered the idea of bailing and tucking himself in early that night when he spotted a lovely blonde girl standing by the dance floor, swaying to the music but without any company. Huh. The boy smiled to himself and walked over to her. He stood beside the girl without a sound, staring at her profile as she looked up at the band for a moment before finally speaking up, "Well, you look lovely tonight." And she really did. He didn't think Delilah could ever look more lovely than she normally did, but guess what, you really do learn something new everyday. "Did your date wander off too?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. Surely Delilah hadn't come by herself, had she? |

Theo shrugged. "Eh, I guess a cheesey ball like this isn't up many grown ups' street." Apart from Professor Flamsteed, of course, who Theo had caught sight of. Well he would be here, wouldn't he? "No biggie, though. I'm having a really great time." With his friends, and stuff. He really hadn't expected this to turn out okay. Theo nodded. Sophie was amazing at charms, so he had no doubt that she would succeed in life after Hogwarts. Magizoology?? What the heck was that? "Magi-what?" It was a mouthful. Theo wasn't even gonna attempt to pronounce it. Wooooooooooot. Impressing da ladies. This was becoming one of Theo's specialties, who'd have ever guessed that? He snorted at her comment. "That's about all I can do. Don't expect me to throw you in the sky and catch you." Because, yeah, he was a flipping strong fella but carrying a person?! No thanks. He looked up at the stage when the first two songs finished and did his hysterical clapping and cheering... then came a slow song. Kinda. Theo stopped his flailing and extravagant moves and then beamed at Ella suggestively. Come on, let's dance sloooooow. He placed a hand on her waist, and held her hand with his free one. Now all he had to do was remember that Ella was his FRIEND and nothing more. Easy, right? Pfft. Theo pulled her close enough so their heads were almost side by side. He was a lot taller than her, of course, so her head wasn't QUITE higher than his upper chest. His eyes went over her shoulder and stayed on the band as he swaaaaaaaaaayed along with her. His heart was pounding like mega. |

Valentine's Day was awesome, especially the part where three pretty girls had kissed his cheek, Elodie being the prettiest of them all. Why did people dislike this day?? This was fun! After deciding that a ball had nothing to do with football and more with lotsa dancing Donny had to go. Dancing was fuuuun. Maybe Elodie would even be there......so that he could dance with her, maybe?? Even if she wasn't there it'd still be fun, Abbi had to be there! Donny made his way through the great hall, bopping along to the music as he did so. He spotted his best friend a little way down and bounced over, she was... dancing? Yeah, dancing. His dancing involved more arm-swinging and jumping around, but Abbi's dancing would do. "Heeeeey, Abbicadabbi!" Squeaked Donny, swaying along with her. "Happy to see you here, along with millllions of cooties." Cooties weren't real, Donnacha had convinced Abbi that they were as fake as the Easter Bunny, but she was still weird about them. Not Donny, nope. Elodie had kissed his cheek, lots of times, and Lux had kissed him too, but that ended with Donny running off. He checked the coast, hoping Lux wasn't around to ambush him or something. |
.... FOOD. Yes. Delilah needed food. She was hungry and this song was slowly making her feel extremely uncomfortable. Okay, yes. It was Valentines, after all and she supposed it was appropriate that they played really cheesy/romantic music buuuuut. Yeah, no. She needed a breather. The girl was just about to drag either Jer or Lotus to the eating area when.. she jumped. "Lou, you scared me.." Wait, what? He just said that she looked lovely. The pink on her cheeks deepened to a bright red, obviously feeling extremely pleased. She nervously ran a hand through her hair again 'cause you know.. Lou in a SUIT. Yeah. It was quite distracting. "You look really handsome too." Well, he ALWAYS looked handsome, though. Always, always. "I... don't have a date." No. Not that she was feeling ashamed about it. There was no one she wanted to come with anyway.. except for Lou, that is. "Wander off too? Where IS your date? Did you scare her off?" Delilah grinned slightly. Heh. |
Quote:
He finished off the piece of chocolate he'd grabbed from the table earlier, and raised his eyebrows as Delilah went on to confess she didn't have a date. No judgement, but he was honestly surprised. "How'd you manage that?" Weren't boys like throwing themselves at her feet? At her following comment, he laughed. "No, she went off to find her true love," he replied, shaking his head. "It was a friends Valentine," he added with a shrug. |
How did she manage that? Delilah just stared at him for a moment. What? She didn't have guys chasing after her, you know. The girl simply shook her head and gave a small shrug. "I wasn't even going to come but.. I heard that the band were going to be playing so.." But, yeah. This was better than sitting in her dorm, snacking on chocolate frogs and feeling depressed. ... Friends valentine. Oh. That was a relief. She remained quiet for a moment, turning to look up at the band. "Do you want to dance?" |
Quote:
Smiling about Abbi watched as her best friendie made his way over. She knew without a doubt that he'd definitely be here and most likely for one of his older girl friends, like particularly *cough* Elodie *cough*. Always about her, hehe. As long as she was still his number one best friend she didn't mind....too much. Elodie was sweet anyways. "Donnnyyy!" Beamy faces turned into sassy ones soon. She didn't like being sassy with Donny, but when he said stuff like that GOSH he was asking for it okay? "I ain't getting cooties today." Abbi translation of I'm not getting any kisses or hugs today, yep. Sassy clicks followed. "We should dance, it's better than starting an argument about cooties....again." DRAMATIC sighing followed as always. |

And speaking of dance lessons, now Delilah was asking him if he wanted to dance. "Well, if you insist..." he replied playfully. And actually, now he DID feel glad to have taken those dance lessons last month, or else he wouldn't have known what to do with himself as he took Delilah's hand and positioned himself in front of the girl, his other hand coming to rest on her waist. "I don't mean to brag, but Lux and I did come in second place on that competition, so you're dancing with a pro," he joked with a playful smile as the two teenagers began to move along to the rhythm of the wonderfully depressing slow music. It was a good thing he'd found Delilah or else the boy would've totally bailed after the fifth song about some unhappy bloke's heartbreak. |
yeahhhh......... feel free to just ignore him or just leave him cause hes stupid Quote:
She did look nice though, Lottie did. Though he wasn't actually sure of what she wore on a daily basis, he didnt pay that much attention so he wasnt aware if this was dressed up or not for the girl. though he did snap to attention, or more his arm when the girl had a grip on him and was tugging him across the room "oh, ok." yeah he was coming he supposed seeing as how he was being dragged. Hi Lottie Quote:
and he was about to just excuse himself when Delilah was pulling him in for a hug, a friend hug he could tell but it was a hug none the less, he put an arm around her, returning it, trying not to pass out over all the things when he felt her lips touch his cheek briefly, ................ ............ ....... .... .. . What.. Was. Air. :faint: He felt heat rise to his cheeks quickly as he tried his damn hardest to play it cool but he couldnt help the small smirk that came out of no where smacking its self on his face, words we're able to function at this point and he just found himself....... Staring at her... Good Going, Walker. |
BREAK TIME; Next Set Starting Soon SPOILER!!: Penelope and Alice SPOILER!!: THE BAND Keeping up with the Queen song was a little rough on Ascanius' end, what with the random riffs that seemed to come out of no where with that style, so when they fell into the easy rhythm of Aerosmith the sixth year let out a breath he didn't even know he had been holding. Being in the back did have its advantages he was finding, yeah? 'Cause no one was really looking at him lose his mind in the music and throwing himself all over his drums to hit each beat with an almost animalistic intensity. Note to self: before the next set...water. Lots of that. As soon as Aerosmith was over, Ascanius took a moment to rest his elbows on his set and take a few soothing breaths. He was exhausted. Music was a lot about leaving what was inside into his hands and letting it make something beautiful. That would exhaust any kind of man. So...even though he wasn't a fan of Vesper's girly mostly acoustic sounding song choices...he was thankful when Need You Now started. He was silently a fan of the way that West and Vesper's voices sounded together. And the music behind them was mellow enough with this song that the audience could really hear 'em. But, y'know, he had to wait a bit until he came in with this song. Keys, guitar and bass then him. When his part came up, Ascanius actually just leaned back and kept a steady, unchanging beat on the bass drum and one of his tom-toms. Nothing really major, but definitely driving enough to keep West and Vesper's vocals going strong. He kept Nigel in the corner of his eye so that they could set the tempo together and started to jive a little with this song. Eyes closed. The whole bit. When the song started to pick up a little, he drove it home with a little more force, but nothing too loud. Noise. Wasn't that what Vesper called it, yeah? See? He could do more then the noise thing. And then he calmed his cymbals as Vesper's piano played out the last piece of the song. Then...he waited. The customary amount of time for the audience to settle and enjoy the ringing of the last note throughout the great hall. Y'know, applause right here was welcomed and even kind of expected 'cause their first set had been KILLER. While West announced that they would be taking a brief break before their next set, Ascanius hopped up from behind his drum set and beelined straight for Nigel clapping him hard on the back with the world's STUPIDEST smile on his face. "We slayed it, man." Did he feel that? 'Cause Ascanius did. And he even smiled at Vesper from beside Nigel, "Way to shred the keys, Ves-" That was weird, "-per." Better. Much better. Now where was West? This was bro hug worthy. Did they FEEL that energy? OOC. I have permission to BAND!Mod |

He put his hand on her waist and held her other hand in his. Then they started to sway. He grinned and said, "Wow you were right, you are a good dancer..." He was impressed with her skills. This song was nice to dance to but he was starting to miss Emmy. But Annalee was here and he was glad. If she wasn't here, he wouldn't have been having a fun time. Then the music stopped and he noticed the band was on break. He stopped dancing and broke apart and asked her, "Do you mind if we go sit down and get something to drink? I do not know about you put i am pretty thirsty after doing those chicken dances." |
:333 She made an entrance. Finally. Beverly had been brooding over her gray - almost white - hair in the dorms when finally she decided to just go with it. Part of 'living it up' was to go with the flow, right? Meh. She wouldn't know, this was her first time aging so fast she felt the need to 'live it up' in any opportunity she got. And just in case her energy wavered, Little Old Bev wolfed down a dozen Sugar Quills. Hyper 13!87 year old anyone? Making it to the event in her pretty dress and Converse shoes, her head started bopping to the music. She'd gotten here just in time. Awesome. Grabbing a drink she squeezed herself to a spot that provided better view of the band. OH. HEY. THAT GUY. AND THAT ONE. They were from her house! She knew so because she's seen them in the common room. HI. HELLO. WOOOT. Head still ridiculous bopping like a goose, she attempted to sing along. In her head. Yeah. No weird staring at her, m'kay. 'Cause: I NEED YOU NOOOOOW. Oh yeah.:sup: All too soon though, the song ended. Beverly clapped as if though she'd been a fan of the band for ages. More, more, more MOOOORE! |

"I don't think all grownups feel that way." Yup, she'd totally spotted Airey-face and Romanos looking all adorable and couple-y. The urge to tell Theo that she'd called that relationship bubbled up inside of her but she didn't open her mouth. It wasn't nice to brag, y'know? "Yeah? Me too. This is really fun." Grin! And Ella was just glad that things had come together and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. Also that her and Theo were being friends again. Proper friends and all. She'd missed this. The eighteen year old let out a soft laugh at his trouble with the word and broke it down for him. "Magi-zoo-ology." Nodnod. "Creatures stuff. I want to work with creatures." Apparently it suited her or so she'd heard. Mock!gasp. "What, you couldn't handle something that super, Theoman?" Kidding. In all honesty, she'd probably shatter into a bazillion pieces if anyone every tossed her up and caught her. Old bones were delicate and they hurt...all the time. Luckily the band was distracting and it totally took her mind off of her current problems. She clapped along with Theo as they transitioned into another song, wondering what would be next. The music so far had been brilliant so she was sure it would be something nice. Ah yes, a slow song. They were going to keep dancing, then? Ella smiled a little too and shuffled closer, letting the snake take the lead. That's what Airey had taught them, yeah? Tall Theodore was tall, did he know? Ella ended up having to look up at him as he took her hand, positioning her free one gently on his shoulder. The closeness was new as she'd barely even hung out with him in two years but it was also nice. Much like the hug they'd had in the hallway this term, it reminded her of the way things used to be. This was comfortable. She smiled a little as he started to sway and followed along, mirroring his movements. She did wonder if he was okay, though. His heart was beating really fast and she could tell, given where her head was. Was this alright? "Y'know, if you keep stealing dances I'm going to have to start charging you." She said this quietly, an amused smile playing on her lips. "I'll take cookies, okay?" As in he should definitely go and get her one when this song ended. Achy feet and a bad back meant she wasn't going to last the trek ALL the way to the refreshment table. Just saying. |

"That may be true, Justine." He replied when she told him she practically shouted at the macaroons. "But who could possibly blame you after the sort of mishap they caused?" He joked. "I think the macaroons deserve all the shouting and yelling they're getting after playing such an elaborate prank on us!" He smirked. Andrew could not help but smile when he noticed a slight tinting of Justine's cheeks. Had he made her blush? He had already assumed that was the case before the color had even completely rushed into her face, and words could not describe how adorable he felt it was that she would blush because of something he said. She did have a lovely accent, and Andrew found her captivating. "Oh, of course! You can speak more English and less French if you really want to get rid of that gorgeous accent, but I think it makes you sound unique.. Special." He chortled. His laughter was not to be mistaken for lack of sincerity, because if Andrew was anything, he was sincere. Justine's corruption of the common phrase made him laugh, but not because she mispronounced the idiom, but because he found it incredibly cute. "The tip of my tongue, you mean?" He corrected her with a smile as wide as any Hogwarts had ever seen. "Yes, it was right there, right on the tip of my tongue." He added playfully. At this point, Andrew really wasn't sure whether he should continue telling Justine about his family's large estate and their enormous private library. He wasn't sure if anything he had to say about his adventures surrounded by all those books was of any interest to anyone but himself. There were very few things Andrew found more enjoyment in than reading, and while it was all glorious to him, he knew he had bored people to tears with his endless rants in the past, and he certainly didn't want to bore Justine. "Well, yeah.. The linguistics section is massive. My parents speak.." He decided to continue, raising a hand to count on his fingers while silently mouthing the words that would form the ending to his sentence. "..Ffffffive different languages each?" He shrugged. Even he wasn't sure anymore. "And they're always learning new ones." There were few people in the world that appreciated the beauty of language as much as Andrew's parents did. Their passion for the subject was matched only by their determination to pass their lust for learning onto every single one of their 16 children. "Myself.. I only speak a little French.." He said, a little ashamed that he wasn't fluent like his mother was. |

It was kind of weird to Theo that grown ups would enjoy something like this, unless they thought it kept them young, or something. He, personally, found it embarrassing to see his teachers dressed up and dancing together, so it MUST be embarrassing for them as well. "Magi-zoo-ology." He repeated, like he would in Charms class or something. "Ahh... I get it. ZOO. Like where they keep animals." That was the link. But that was cool! "Sounds awesome! I'm glad you've got a plan." Unlike him. SNORT. Theoman. Gosh. Ella was the only person who still called him that, and it made him chuckle so much. "Don't tempt me to try it, Bishop!" Otherwise the Head Girl will be having a very intimate flying lesson indeed. Hehe. He couldn't help it, but he was suddenly thinking about Dora, since it was really her that he should be dancing with right now. More than anything, he wished he had the guts to go and ask her for one dance, just for old times sake, but he could barely look at her in the eye let alone speak to her. Gosh, all these girls breakin' Theo's heart, eh? Thinking about his ex girlfriend definitely made him feel more relaxed with being here next to Ella, though. Ella was his friend and friends made each other feel good. He automatically gave her a bit of a squeeze as he thought about it, which was embarrassing so he stopped right away. With his eyes still on the band, Theo smiled but sighed softly at the same time in response to her comment. Stealing dances. Did that mean she didn't want any more? "You owe me years of dances." He said shyly, then pulled his head back so that he was facing her properly again. His hands loosened around her as the song was coming to an end, as much as he disliked doing so. "I suppose I should let you go. If you want." Run along to the Head Boy, or whatever. Theo was still smiling, because this was good, this whole Ella encounter. It would be a shame to spoil it with this strange feeling that was going through his head. It wasn't jealousy exactly, because he had moved on from Ella, but more... longing? Merlin knew. I ain't no teenage boy expert. |
SPOILER!!: Fern But that wasn't necessary as Fern soon offered her assistance for the next one. Maybe Brynn would even be interested enough by then to try harder. But that still remained to be seen. She looked down at herself as the Hufflepuff gave her some very appraising eyes. In her defense, she didn't even know there was a ball, though she wasn't sure it would have made much difference with her whole dressing for comfort trend as of late. But she turned back to Fern with an appreciative smile anyway. "Oh, okay... that sounds like fun."Because she knew somewhere in the back of her head that it did - she once enjoyed fashion and anticipating wearing makeup. Brynn gave a sidelong glance to Fern and sorta shrugged as the girl got all offended at the implication. "I know, I know," the 11 year old said quickly. She knew normally Fern was up on all the latest haps, but then she should also know all about the "Puffanova" too and would not be trying to align her with that mess. She turned a little more fully as Fern's eyes locked onto the pair of Hufflepuffs, then gave her a pointed MMMhmm knowing look. "I'm over it," she shrugged as Fern expressed her outrage. Not that she was ever under it, but whatever. She could look cool. Brown eyes glanced up to the stage as the band began to play then back to Fern as she leaned in closer. She wasn't sure if it was because it was getting LOUD in here and she needed to be heard or if she had some juicy secret... which Brynn was kind of hoping it was the latter. And it sort of was. Brynn's eyes slowly widened as she listened to her friend identify her date for this evening and her mouth DROPPED. OH. EM. GEE. Dante Dark was coming. Dante Dark was coming and he was Fern's date! "I.. he.. you.." Brynn cupped her hands over her nose and mouth and began taking very deep breaths as her mind tried to process this news. One of the Hexy Boyz was going to be sitting at the same table as her. And.. and.. maybe he could put a good word in for her with.. She took her hands from her face and gripped the bottom of her tshirt as she began twisting it nervously between her fingers. "But you should have told me.. and then.. well, he could have brought.." She bit her lip and glanced down at her clothes. It wasn't her fault she had bunions now and had to wear supportive shoes, OKAY?! And her beautiful red hair.. was just gone.. Dante would never go back to his bandmate, and obvious best friend, DC and tell him all about the cute redhead with the dazzling personality now. Wibble. |

The squeezing thing? It made Ella think of Alec and she glanced past Theo's arm, over towards the photo booth. She knew how he felt about this and she got it but she had promised and he knew how important Theo was to her. She wanted her friend back but she hated that it had caused a thing between her and Alec. It was just so...stupidly complicated. Growing up was lame. The eighteen year old gave a quick, gentle squeeze in return before stopping as well. Just to show she wasn't bothered. It was comforting, actually. You owe me years of dances. Ouch. She knew he hadn't meant it at the dig but it felt like a punch to the stomach all the same. The blonde smiled a bit sadly up at him when he backed off a bit and nodded. "I know. At least this is a start?" He knew that, right? That she was going to be there from now on. She expected the same from him. Friends, she wanted them to keep being friends. None of this not talking nonsense. And instead of stepping completely away like she should have, she gave the younger boy a proper hug, a big one. When she finally did step away, she swatted a curl out of her face and smiled once more. "I should get going but this was nice, yeah?" And she glanced towards the stage as the band got ready to take a break before her eyes settled back on Theo. "Let West know how great he was for me? I'm really glad they agreed to play." |
LOL! I can't with Jeremiah. XD Text Cut: West+Vesper before starting Quote:
She said the appropriate 'Thanks' and 'You, too' before it was time to listen to the band and for Delilah to dance with.... who was that? She didn't know his name, and she was having trouble trying to remember if Delilah had mentioned names when they talked about... ...Jeremiah, you're so quiet. Text Cut: So cute, Jeremiah <3 Not a boy of many words? At least not today, it seemed. If you think for a second that Lotus Acacia Wisteria, of all people, missed this little reaction to Delilah's words and overall presence then you, my friend, are clearly mistaken. She was excellent at noticing these things, she just kept it all to herself. Same as Lex pretended to be oblivious to certain things. Why, of course, she wouldn't comment on it, because that would make things... rather embarrassing, perhaps? It was none of her business. But allllll that staaaaaaring, Jere... the Hogwartian poked And...can we say that West clearly knows how to address an audience? CAN WE? Because he DOES IT SO WELL, man, SO WELL! And Lottie was just beaming at Vesper and watching Ascanius from time to time, and they were surprisingly AWESOME! All the HOURS of practices clearly paid off. We're not gonna lie, it was the awkwardest thing ever to be standing next to Jeremiah when the slow song was up, but since she was focusing on the band, then it stopped being awkward after a few seconds. It probably helped that she had stopped holding his arm. THAT helped a lot, because super!awkward stuff otherwise. BUT IT WAS TIME FOR A BREAK NOW. And Lottie was oh-so-incredibly proud for those three. SUPER PROUD. Particularly Vesper, she did AMAZING. She'll wait for her here, yup. |
