moving his legs felt great though… stretching them out was the best.. "crack..popp..crack…more popping" "ahhhh its the best when everything pops" shaking his arms now more of the same thing happened.. "oh not a problem.. thats why they call me Sir.Bay" he tried to give her one of his famous winks but with his bushy grey eyebrows he didn't think it would have the same effect. |

Even if she would have Alice on her feet for all of them, and even if it was minimal movement. Her best wasn't that heavy anyways. Dora smiled properly, and moved a little more to the music. "Three." It was a deal. |
Text Cut: Austin The berries really weren’t enough, but Lily hadn’t felt like eating most of what else was there. At least, she hadn’t felt like a heart-shaped sandwich, or any of the cookies that were there. She’d eyed the chocolate, but chosen the berries instead. Maybe it was that they were missing cream, but she’d make do. Either that or she’d steal one of Austin’s chocolates while they were sitting there talking. Actually, she’d probably ask first, but for now, figuring out what exactly had happened earlier was more important. Munching on berries was easier when she had to actually discuss things. Plus, it was easier to make sure he didn’t think she was ignoring him, even if she was also half-listening to the music still. It was hard not to, since the band really was doing an amazing job. Just not amazing enough for her to want to interrupt the talking in order to dance some more. Dancing could happen after they finished talking, as long as the event was still going on. “Maybe,” she agreed. “I mean, I introduced you to Astrid and that seemed to go okay.” It was just the situation with West that had gone horribly wrong, but then she wasn’t sure she was really to blame there. Since it really shouldn’t have been up to her to make sure he got along with his dorm mates. At least the stuttering hadn’t come back, which she was going to assume meant he didn’t feel threatened anymore. Honestly, she’d rather he not have felt threatened anyway, and she wasn’t sure why he would have. Plus, his answer to her simple question had only confused her more. Of course, there had been every chance he wouldn’t have answered it at all, but she still didn’t quite understand when he did. She’d popped another berry into her mouth as she tried to make sense of it all, though. It still didn’t make sense after the stalling. “Um, how do you expect me to not worry if I have to wait for an answer?,” she asked quietly, blinking a little. That was the part that didn’t make sense. The rest of it had just made her feel guilty. “So I made you stutter.” He hadn’t technically been talking to West, so that meant it had been her. It had been her, and her irritation at feeling like he’d ignored the fact she’d been talking to West when he had walked up to her. That wasn’t really something she’d ever wanted to feel, not after all the guilt she’d dealt with at the end of last term and then over the summer, but there it was. |
*loiters around* Theo pushed his way to the front of the crowd quickly, since he knew that the band wouldn't be on their break for long. He reached the stage but they were already setting up to go again. Daaaaarn... He waved at West, then started bopping up and down super awkwardly when they started playing. Dancing on your own SUCKED, but it sucked even more right now because Theo actually LOVED the song that was playing. He really wanted to enjoy it. Scratch this. The Slytherin made a quick escape from center stage and headed for the seats. He plopped himself onto a chair and cast a look round at everyone who was dancing. They looked like they were having fun, that was nice, pfffffft. People and their happiness. Yeah, he'd sit here chewing his gum instead of heading back for that lame-o kissing booth. At least until this awesome song had finished. |
Bay SPOILER!!: Bay Alex laughed when Bay said they were just really old. "You are so right. I've got a little popping and cracking going on myself. I think we should call this the Rice Krispies dance.......just as long as there's no snapping." Alex laughed even harder when she thought about how ridiculous they must have looked doing their creaky old person dancing. Oh oh, laughing....not....good. All the dancing and laughing left Alex a little winded, but she ignored it. She was going to party until they turned off the lights, because she could. Well she hoped she could....... |

Andrew could see the sudden appearance of discomfort in Justine's face, but he could also see the attempt at ignoring it. In her expression, he sensed an internal conflict that he of course couldn't possibly know anything about. She made it sound like it wasn't there, and despite his curiosity and wish to calm her fears, he thought it best to take her word for it. "Yes, Bordeaux. My parents were visiting family in France." He confirmed at her question, taking a breath and scratching the back of his head when she asked about the 'English side of the family'. His body language practically oozed the phrase 'It's a long story'. "The LaCroix family. Originally French, but we split up into two different lineages, if you will. One side remained in France, and the other moved across the channel." He explained, hoping he had conveyed accurately enough the complicated situation concerning his family. "We're still very close. Andrew's face lit up once more when he realized he hadn't really hurt Justine's feelings. He smiled at her and nodded. "Well, I promise I'll tell you then!" He said quickly. "But I doubt I'll need to very often." "No, you really are accomplished, it's just my parents that are ridiculous over-achievers and have to overdo literally everything." Andrew laughed at Justine's question. He tried to focus on how much his parents always made a big deal out of everything in an attempt to get the redness out of his face. He hadn't expected her compliment, and it had made him blush, but what had made him blush even more was the fact that he replied by telling her he thought she was beautiful. What kind of response is that? Andrew felt like such an idiot sometimes. "Well, I think you are." He said, only digging himself a deeper grave. "Merci. J'essaie." He smiled with what little confidence he had in his french. His parnets being such overachievers, it was difficult sometimes to live up to their expectations. French had never been easy for him, but he did his best, and it was nice to see someone who accepted it as if it weren't full of flaws and mistakes. |
Anyone ^^ Attending the party wouldn't count if she didn't drop by the seating area and hear the band play. No it surely wouldn't. Also, food. She was really hungry by now. Although her dress only allowed little space for her stomach to get full. But that was enough. It wasn't like she wanted to gulp down everything. Psht. Nope. Glad her feet weren't yet hurting, she padded towards where the main stage was and she was able to hear the music from a good distance. Her eyes lit up at the sight of friends up there being all wonderful and professional. She hoped she could have been here earlier before they started so she could wish them luck and talk to them but she had to be where she had to be, supervising. Maybe when it was their break time or something, she thought. Inching closer, Cassia stood by the tables, hands on her hips as she took in the energetic atmosphere around. Looked like people were enjoying their time which was the goal behind all this. Her eyes slid back to the bad and she found herself swaying ever so slightly to the music. Her hand went up and waved hoping to catch someone's eye but odds weren't high. It took concentration to preform but she just felt like doing it anyway. |

After hearing her speak, he blinked and then realized how things sounded; dear Merlin, lately it appeared that he was incapable of making things better. Just worse for everyone that was important to him, whether it be friends or the one that he loved more than anything. “No.. I.” he tried to explain but only took her hand anyway so that he had her attention. “It’s not your fault Lily. It wasn’t your fault that I got upset, if it was anyone’s fault; it’s mine because of the fact that I had started to ignore your conversation which started all of this. You’re not to blame, you just have to believe that.” This was supposed to be a happy day, not one that ended up causing both of them to be annoyed and frustrated. “The stutter only happened because of something when I was younger, I just haven’t explained that to anyone before.” Hopefully she would have believed him since there was nothing else that could have been said. |
Cloooning my girl ^^ Quote:
Delilah wasn't sure what to say at this point. She was pretty sure he'd been staring at /her/... Um. Did he think she looked odd or something? The girl just looked at him for a moment before clearing her throat slightly. Yeah, the silence was awkward. Very awkward. "So... do you want to dance or something?" Delilah asked, raising an eyebrow. It would be better than awkwardly looking at each other, yeah? And they were playing such a lovely song, too. .. Only if Jeremiah was interested, of course. |
Text Cut: Kace She smiled at the young girl and let go of her arms again to let her move on her own now, "Awarlesta, but you can call me Awar." Man, her name was complicated. The girl could call her anything really. Nothing mean though. That wouldn't be nice, would it? Ooh a fist bump! This was a good sign, yes? Baby steps, of course, baby steps. Awar showed off her 'Shopping Cart' move, "A dance award? I'll say! I think we're pretty pro!" |
SPOILER!!: You Two Ladies :3 Kace was waiting for Annalee to say something but she didn't mutter any words. He probably took that as a yes. He nodded and understood their decision and then he turned his attention back on Awarlesta. He saw Lesta doing the shopping cart move and he laughed at her. But then he joined in. "I think i am gonna do the....sprinkler!" he said standing still and moving his hand in a sprinkler like formation. He turned to Annalee and asked, "Any dances you would like to contribute?" |

Alice wriggled around a little so she could rest her elbows on her friend's shoulders, pushing the corners of her mouth up a bit more with her thumbs. "This still counts as your first one, y'know? Better make use of it." Mhm. Because Merlin knew she was NOT doing four. |
Dead Kneazles! [Break] After another eventful set, with all the music highs and lows and rhythm stuff, vocal stuff, piano stuff....it was once again time for a break. Vesper, who'd been staring West down for a good portion of said set, bolted again...before Band!hugs could happen. It wasn't safe to hug him, the Ravenclaw was convinced. Besides, she'd only had pepperoni during their last break and her stomach was announcing its displeasure at the fact. So, food first. Mhm. Running fingers through her hair, sweat evident, she snagged a plate and started piling things on top of it...Oh, and that pizza she'd been picking things off of...Well, she'd eat that. No one worry! It wouldn't be wasted...Another water bottle was grabbed, too...as she'd finished off the other pretty quickly up on the stage. It got hot in the spotlight... |

It was recorded music again, but Dora didn't stop dancing since this was apparently counting as one. She spun them on the spot instead. |

Even when the recorded music started playing, she stop dancing. The seventh year went on for the whole song before her stomach started rumbling, which wasn't unusual as she hadn't grabbed a bite before the sets had started. Plus Vesper was by the food, and Alice had questions. Would Dora come? Probably not. "I'm gonna go get a snack. I'll fetch you something, ok?" Second dance down. With that, she turned and made a beeline for the table. Quote:
She kept her eyes on the food, being picky with what she planned to eat, but starting speaking anyway. "You're a really good pianist." Vesper was, truly. Quite talented in the music department. "Wish I could do that." |
SPOILER!!: New friend and awkward crush Anna laughed and continued to dance with the two of them, "It's nice to meet you, Awar." She nodded and smiled. The thirteen year old gave a slight giggle to the dance moves both her and Kace... Maybe it was just because she was a figure skater so it did seem odd to her to have people who didn't try to make things synchronized and nice and everything. Not that it was a bad thing, it was just different to her, but it seemed like fun so she copied them. ... Then Kace asked her to contribute, "I honestly don't know many..." She fought the shaking away from her voice. She really was trying not to let what happen bother her... but it was hard for her, "I mean... I guess there's always the lawnmower..." She showed them and gave a slight laugh, mainly because it really wasn't too far off from the shopping cart... only just having to 'start' the mower before going back to the same basic motion. |

Ves carefully swallowed what she'd been chewing. "Thank you." No, she didn't look at Alice when she said this. |

Louis’s eyes widened when the girl next to him began to choke. He was already scanning his mind for the appropriate spell for the situation, hand halfway down his pocket to grab his wand, when she suddenly seemed to regain her composure. And she just STARED at him. Oh Merlin. She probably thought he was being horribly forward. Louis had to look away from her piercing gaze, awkwardly running a hand through his hair just to do something with his fidgety hands. Right. He should probably apologize now. Lou was just about to open his mouth when Delilah spoke. ”I would like that.” Oh? The boy returned his gaze to her, eyebrows raised. She didn’t mind? She would like that? He couldn’t help the stupid grin that formed on his face at that moment. “Right. Great.” He nodded his head with a smile. “Whenever you’re ready, then.” |
Quote:
She could do this for three dances, sure. But breaks were nice too. It didn't escape her that Vesper was over at the food table and Dora purposefully stayed back when Alice said she was going to get them food. It wasn't a two person job. She'd dance by herself until then. |
Quote:
Was that enough small talk? Usually, Alice was an extremely direct person, but she was trying to be tactful right now. Trying. Apparently, her attempt was in vain. "I... I saw you... looking at me." The Gryffindor's tone softened a little, but the her gaze stayed locked on the food. "Why? I don't... I don't know you? And I'm not really sure what I did to make you... dislike me so much." |
Text Cut: The 'Sprinkler' and The 'Lawnmower Awar nodded as both of the younger puffs displayed their dance moves, "Hmm..hmm, not bad, not bad, but HAVE YOU SEEN THE 'TENNIS PLAYER'?!" She proceeded to toss in an invisible ball in the air and whack it with her invisible racket. "Top that!" She forgot for a second she was surrounded by hundreds of other people. Maybe she oughta tone it down a bit...nah. |
Quote:
Vesper sighed, thinking she should probably go ahead and look at Alice...Get this over with. Her head and body were still buzzing from her time on the stage. So, the Ravenclaw wasn't exercising the caution she probably should have. Biting into another piece of pizza...Ves shrugged. "It's probably best not to ask me that here. You won't like what I say." Honesty seemed like the best route at this point...because no, Alice wouldn't like what she had to say one bit. Vesper knew that much. |
Quote:
"It's okay. I asked for whatever I'm going to hear, I guess." And knowing was always better than not knowing. Always. No matter what. She poured herself a cup full of pink lemonade and started on one for Dora. Would that go well with sushi? Did it matter? |
Quote:
...... "I don't want to be rude...and it might sound like that." STARE. Why was Alice insisting on this here and now? Vesper was having such a good night... |
Quote:
Besides, Vesper was the one giving nasty looks at random, and she was worried about being rude NOW? Funny. |
