Mostly though, her face was on Alice for her to see only. Safer that way. Two dances though. She cheered up subtly. "Promise?" |
Text Cut: The babes Awar looked down, remembering that awkward kiss (well, it wasn't awkward for her) at the kissing booth, but this was a whole different situation, she guessed. She looked him sincerely in the eyes and placed a hand on his cheek, "Trust me, don't make it awkward." She shot a glance to the young girl, "Imagine how she's feeling right now. Running away will just make her feel worse." The Hufflepuff took a step back, "Just remind each other that you're still friends. 'Awkward' can go take a hike!" She playfully nudged him, "Yeah?" |
Dead Kneazles! [Seven Nation Army; The White Stripes] SPOILER!!: Lottie! "Yes, I do remember Halloween.".....Somewhat. That had been a crazy night for everyone, from what she did remember. Vesper had played games and then parked herself at the piano for the remainder of her time there, busying herself with music so she didn't make wrong decisions. Merlin, she was boring..."Ascanius and Nigel were there, too.....I think." Erm, it was fuzzy... HAHA. "Lottie, slooooooow down. Who said we're going to be mega famous?" Though, it was compliments to her and her bandmates as a whole, Vesper blushed furiously. It was amazing to think and dream about, of course...but was it really a possibility? For them? Ves hoped that if it did happen, they'd stay together. It was depressing to hear about fame splitting up bands....and she had to agree with Lottie about something. Yes, West was amazing. "He knows it, too." It wasn't hard to spot him in the crowd, grabbing food and water. She didn't allow herself to look for too long. "I'll draw on you sometime if you want." Ves latched onto the distraction...The ink she'd used on hers was semi-permanent. So, it'd stay for a week or so. Since Spring was so close...it'd be good for that, right? People would enjoy showing off some art...like she did. Maybe. "...for free, too." BEAM. The Ravenclaw was just nodding to her about Tag when West started heading back towards the stage. Ves didn't know how she'd known he was doing as much...she wasn't staring or anything...but she'd noticed. That was odd. "I suppose that's my cue." Looking down at her hand, she hadn't realized she'd been eating pieces of pepperoni off a nearby pizza. How absentminded of her, gosh. "Erm...sorry to anyone that was hungry for this particular pizza." Blush. "I'll see you a bit later, okay? Enjoy the next set!" She leaned in to give Lottie a one-armed hug before snatching up her watch bottle and making her way back towards the stage. Quickly...because MORE MUSIC. Ugh, there was that adrenaline that had never truly left...ROARING back into full focus and making her want to fling herself at random people...Shiver. Excitement was weird. Made people weird. Was making her weird. SPOILER!!: Bandmates! Wiping her hands with a towel (since they had those for sweating reasons), she made sure her fingers were squeaky clean before picking back up the black tambourine. No piano for this next song...if Ves remembered right. As she settled back in front of the mic, West got a brilliant smile...and then Ascanius and Nigel. She was ready. Mhm. When West announced the song and began playing the intro, Vesper had to look away momentarily. He always licked his thumb...and it made her blush. Not that she knew why it did...but it did. So, just for a moment...and then she was throwing herself into the music, harmonizing with practiced ease, tambourine rhythmically rattling in her hand. Who would've thought she had rhythm? Music taught her all the things. It was a fun song...and one that West could really play up the crowd with. Seriously, who wouldn't want West singing something like this to them, though? He'd even looked her way, strumming and belting out the You really got me's, which was her cue to back him up. To be perfectly honest, they sang to each other all the time, so...something like this wasn't too unusual...Vesper just couldn't indulge like she usually would because of the eyes on them. It was okay to be obvious in private because West didn't think much of it, or so she thought...but people didn't need reasons to say things. They could be ugly enough without prompting. With the last chords of the song fading away, Vesper shared another beaming smile with West...mainly because of the next song. Yet another one where she'd stay station at the mic with tambourine in hand...It was also another one of those songs that West would really get into...as well as showcasing Ascanius and Nigel. Great band song. So, when West finally announced SEVEN NATION ARMY, Ves thought she might fling herself at him....but gripped the mic tighter in her left hand...to stop AND ancher herself to the spot. She loved Jack White, okay? It just...Words couldn't properly explain. And yes, they knew it wasn't actually a bass that had started the original, but Nigel would open them up with this. Him and his white suit...Vesper watched him, semi-mesmerized as he laid out the beginning beats....and then Ascanius joining him, making the bass notes fuller. To be honest, she felt a little dizzy, allowing the music to envelop her soul. Rawr. Oh...It was her vocal up first...Mhm. Her eyes cut to West's for a moment. She KNEW he was excited, too. Jack White....West kinda looked him, actually. Blink. THINK ABOUT THAT LATER. "I'm gonna fight 'em off....A seven nation army couldn't hold me back..." She shifted towards the crowd, working her tambourine with deliberate beats against her hip..."They're gonna rip it off....Taking their time right behind my back..." There was grit in her voice this go 'round...probably slightly roughed up from the first set. It fit, though..."And I'm talkin' to myself at night...because I can't forget..." People were getting some sassy eyes...mainly to fit the mood of the song. Not for any other reasons... "Back and forth through my mind..."...The lyric was dropped due to content...and Ves allowed herself to get a little angry with the next words. "...And the message comin' from my eyes says leave it alone..." The mic was clutched in her hand as she bent over to the side, the notes pushed out with ferocity...but her eyes stayed on West, watching him work that guitar. The chords to this song were so epic. It was hard not to feel it all over. Dun dun dun dun DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNN. ...............Gosh, this was so much fun. OOC: Band!modding powers GO! |
Olly had been making her way over to the buffet to get a drink and maybe something to eat but stopped moving once the band started playing again. That had been a short break. Not that she minded. Though, she still hadn't found Schuyler again. She really regret having left her side in the first place now. How hard could it be to spot a gorgeous brunette in the crowd? For a moment at least she was distracted from her search by what was going on on-stage, though. West was looking at her and that paired with the lyrics of the song made Olly smirk slightly. REALLY? She shook her head, clearly amused, and rested her eyes on the Slytherin for a second longer, even after he had moved on to first looking at his bandmate and then his girlfriend. Olly turned her head to say something to Schuyler...only, of course the other girl wasn't in fact next to her. Okay, she should probably calm down. But she was just so used to having her girlfriend around that it was weird not to. Even though she definitely was around her SOMEWHERE. She stared at the air next to her for a moment before frowning slightly. Why did SHE have to go look for Schuyler. The Gryffindor could just as well come looking for her! Though she probably was. Or wasn't. Who knew. Nonetheless, Olly found herself walking through the crowds again, craning her neck. Schuyler? HELLO? |
Text Cut: Austin Lily had been perfectly fine with them not talking while they’d been dancing. In fact, she almost wished that they hadn’t still been talking, since it had been kind of nice just resting her head on Austin’s shoulder, letting the music take over her thoughts and everything. Of course, that had ended all too soon, as West’s band had taken their break between sets and it hadn’t been the same dancing to the recorded music. Live music had more emotion behind it. That was why she liked playing it, even if most people never would get to hear her singing. She couldn’t ignore him when he’d spoken, though. That would have seemed hypocritical, even if she didn’t want to interrupt the little quiet dancing moment. “Would it be easier if I introduced you to people?,” she asked softly, now that the music was at least slightly lower. They could have talked without having to be loud, and she figured that made it easier on him. There was less chance of people listening in. She figured they didn’t have too long between sets, but it hopefully would be enough that they could get this figured out and not miss too much of the next set. She’d nodded slightly when he’d answered her question as to what they’d do after they’d stopped dancing. “Sure. I mean, we don’t have forever before there’s probably going to be more real music, but I could get a snack,” she replied. Besides, there was the possibility that every song wouldn’t be entirely danceable, anyway, so maybe they could keep talking even after Vesper, Ascanius, and the others had reconvened. She’d seen the two of them talking to people in the small crowd gathered, as she’d started heading over toward the food table to see what was there, leading Austin just the tiniest bit since he still had her hand in his. By the time they’d gotten over there, and she’d decided on taking a small bowl of berries to munch on, the performance had started again, but she’d still simply headed for a table. Letting Austin follow if he wished. Like she’d guessed, they were back to quicker-paced songs, even if they still were good. She’d rather do more slow dancing, so talking could happen for now. “Okay. What’s really up?,” she asked as he’d joined her. That sounded better than just asking him what had happened before, slightly anyway. It wasn’t accusatory or irritated, just curious. That had been really weird, and she didn’t want him to feel like a bad person. |
Seren wasn't feeling particularly enthused about the event this year, but that probably had something to do with the fact that it was well past her scheduled nap time. With a small sigh to herself, and a brave smile, Seren took her raspberry lemonade and retired to the seating area at the main stage. Sitting would do her some good, her legs weren't what they used to be... Her brave smile soon turned into a genuine one at the sound of the music the students were performing. It was perhaps too loud for her liking, but she was thrilled for them nonetheless. So much so, that her head was bopping in tune to them, her excess neck skin flapping slightly with it's wrinkly goodness. When did it get so loose? |
Quote:
Sigh. Maybe she should just go dance and at least try and have some fun. She recognized the song West started singing right after the break and started to sing along herself. She didn't recognize the next song, but she had actually started to bob along to the music. Okay. Maybe this thing wasn't that bad. Just the theme was awful. |
and we see Seren tooooooooo Quote:
Oh. Ouch. That was a sharp pain in his left arm. Wincing for a few moments until the pain subsided, he leaned back a bit to look down at Medea and was pleasantly surprised to not be looking at the top of her head. "I think I'm fine, but do you want something? I could hobble over and get it for you." Venturing a glance towards the food area, the astronomer noticed Seren and offered the woman a feeble wave before turning his attention back to his date. "I rather like this song though. Be a shame to miss the performance." |
Quote:
Also. She smirked a little before she bent her head down to look at Lottie's shoes. Heels. Heh, she knew it. "You look tall." Quote:
She poured herself a glass of water and sipped at it a little before she resumed eating. What? She was hungry, okay!? ...... And then Lou said something that literally made her choke a bit. Cue coughing. Uhm. WHAT. ...... GO SOMEWHERE. ALONE. OH. OH. OHHHHH. Delilah just stared at him for a moment, her cheeks turning bright red. As much as she was enjoying the concert and the music, spending the rest of her night with Lou sounded more than appealing. She sipped at her water some more before she finally nodded, blushing even more. Oh, jeez. "I would like that." Really, REALLY like that. OHMYGOSH. |
Quote:
>.< he was totally lost in his own world of sorts just staring off in Delilah's general direction.. more at her really.. until he felt a "Ugh.. Durmstrang.. yeah." she did ask where he was from before here right, that's what he meant not like location where were you born from, ugh.. crap.. this was horrible.. the slow music didnt help the awkwardness he created either. nope. HE knew he shouldnt of came! Quote:
was he ok, NO he wasnt okay he was more embarrassed then rat in an owl den. No Delilah, No he wasnt okay. you could just leave him here to die and that would be cool cause you know he was doing so anyway.. gosh the blush was getting worse! "I.. yeah.. Im cool.. just got distracted staring at the..... stage..." yeah no, no one was buying that one Walker. It was clear and obvious he was staring at her and he needed to just Man up and DO something about it, so he stood there and tried to muster up some courage.. He was going to ask her to dance, even if it killed him, which it might. |
SPOILER!!: Both of the girlies :3 Kace was listening to Awar's advice. He nodded and agreed. "I mean i am trying not to make it awkward but it is hard..." But she mentioned about running away and he agreed. "Yeah your right.." he said playfully nudging her back and going over to her "Hey Anna...do you wanna dance with me and Awar...do you guys know each other?" he asked curiously. Then he told Awar, "I already had a conversation about just being friends so that ground is covered." he winked and then started dancing to just have fun. He wasn't gonna let the drama ruin their night of fun. Even the music was really good. |
SPOILER!!: Awarlesta and Kace She timidly shook her head to Kace's question, "I've never met her." Anna gave a small nod to the older girl, "I'm um... I'm Annaleecia, but please, call me Anna." She gave a weak smile hoping to seem at least a little less upset than she really was... And then Kace had to mention their conversation and she looked down again. Great... So I probably seem odd to her. Maybe it would be better if she did leave.. Kace could have fun with his friend and she could just go and hide for the rest of the year. Right now that seemed like the best idea to her. |

Andrew was too busy laughing at himself to care about being embarrassed because he accidentally made a weird sound, or referred to a macaroon as 'The Ring Leader'. People would just have to think him crazy if they wanted to. There were already those who disliked Andrew for being himself, and if they were going to leave him be because they thought he talked to pastries, that was fine with him. Justine's facial expression revealed a change to Andrew that he wasn't sure he liked. She seemed to tense up and become slightly more uncomfortable. He wondered if it was something he said as she politely turned down his praise and asked him where he was from. Hesitating slightly, wondering if he had insulted her. Why was he such an idiot? He began to answer her question, trying to shrug off that hurtful thought, quickly regaining his enthusiasm. "Well, I was born in Bordeaux, but I'm from the English side of the family. I grew up in Kent!" He laughed at how boring he sounded compared to Justine. Andrew felt a little guilty. He had only meant his correction playfully, not to make Justine feel bad about her accent or her knowledge of the English Language. He thought her accent was beautiful. "You said- N- Nevermind, you got it right on the money!" He chuckled, figuring that it really wasn't that big of an error. He smiled at Justine apologetically, hoping she hadn't suddenly realize what an idiot he was sometimes! "Yeah, Five languages each! That's in addition to English, so I suppose the real number is six!" He nodded at Justine's surprise. Andrew's parents were the smartest people he knew and they had really inspired him in his pursuit of knowledge. Not to mentioned threatened to disown him if he didn't get sorted into Ravenclaw. "Well, thank you v- Wow, Thank you! He blushed embarrassingly at her compliment. "That means a lot coming from someone so beautiful." He replied before he could really think about his response. It just sort of slipped out. He didn't know what to do. Whatever it was that pulled that out of him, he assumed the macaroons had something to do with it. Especially the ring leader! "I totally understood that!" He laughed enthusiastically, happy that he hadn't failed his first easy French test. "Je fais de mon mieux pour.. impressionner?" He made a poor attempt at replying in French, blushing even more at his perceived incompetence. He himself couldn't see anything grammatically incorrect about the way he worded his reply, but how could he be sure? If only his parents could see him now. |

It seemed as though that Lily had been not exactly thought twice about leading him over to the food table which really wasn’t a problem since he could have used a snack before going back to dancing later on, and only began to browse at what he could have had to eat, then picked up a couple of chocolates since having sugar was never a bad idea. Plus it kept the potential for stuttering to return very low, which really was a good thing. Before he had gotten the opportunity to eat one of the chocolates, the questions continued though at least this had been the chance to explain things. Even if it probably could have waited until they were alone since he didn’t want to deal with anyone overhearing by accident. “Okay I can explain this in detail later on since I don’t want to make you worried or anything, but sometimes when the idea of me making people upset gets too much, the stuttering comes out and I try to not let it come out. It also can happen when I’m having conversations with people I haven’t met before as well.” he managed to explain, keeping his voice low so that Lily really was the only one to be able to get his explanation. |
Quote:
He turned his attention to the band as the girl explained who they were. Yeah. It sounded like gibberish. So did the explaination of fangirling. She might as well have been saying random strings of letters like 'agkjaehrgjklegar' or something. That's about how much he cared about this band girling... fangirling? What was it again? ... he took a step back. Flailing limbs did not sound fun. So much for dancing. "You didn't bring Tozzy." he commented. Not that he wanted her to. It was just a comment since she told him to bring Ralphie. |
Text Cut: Kace and Anna! "Everything's going to be okay. Just relax. Be happy people find you attractive!" Awar joked. She smiled big at the girl, hoping that it'll make her more relaxed, "Pleasure to meet you, Anna! Join the party!" Awar joined into Kace's dancing, but Anna was just not having it, it seemed. She reached over and lightly pinched the young girl's cheeks, "No frownie faces!" The Hufflepuff took a hold of her housemate's hands moving them toward and away from her in attempt to make the young puff smile a bit. |
Quote:
"Three if you smile proper." There. That was a GOOD deal. Take it or leave it. |
SPOILER!!: Anna and Lesta :3 Kace smiled and it was comforting that people found him attractive. It was a good thought. As Annalee joined the dance floor, he was happy they Lesta and her were getting along. He even moved to talk to Anna and said, "Anna i do forgive you but let's try to forget about what happened okay? For our friendship sake?" he asked with his fist out for her to fist bump him. He was laughing at Lesta dancing too. He even commented, "Lesta i think we should win a dance award of some kind." |
Quote:
So she returned the quick kiss and replied, "M'kay, see you soon." And then she watched him return to the stage before turning back to the food table real quick. Only two pieces of pizzas were put on her plate this time, and then decided to try a couple pieces of the heart-shaped sushi as well as a few heart-shaped cookies. Once she also had a cup of pink lemonade, she turned around so she could watch the band while she ate. Dancing made her hungry, y'know? But she was still swaying a little to the music even while eating. |

As uncomfortable as Justine suddenly felt, she tried not to show it to the young, if he knew, if he saw, well, it would certainly not be a good thing, she was really warming up to him, and hoped that they would turn into good friend I think you like him a little more than that. Said that weird little voice in Justine's, to which she paid no mind because really, her little voice did not know what it was talking about. "Bordeaux? You were born zhere?" Justine asked, her mild surprise becoming stronger as the boy mentioned something about being from the English side of his family. "Wat do you mean 'zee English side?" Justine asked, frowning with curiosity. Andrew certainly had many more layers to him than Justine had thought. Oh no, he had really believed her to be offended, Justine had to quickly fix that. "Non, non, I am joking with you," Justine said, reassuringly touching the boys arm, trying to show him that he had not hurt her feelings. She smiled brightly at the brunette. "I prefer zat you tell me when I 'ave made a mistake," Justine said. "Goodness, I feel so unaccomplished now, I zought I was special for speaking two, are all your family members so talented?" Justine laughed, really quite dazzled by his parents abilities, she would certainly love to meet such extraordinary people one day. And now he was blushing, and that was far too adorable, really, too adorable, she thought she ought to make him blush more often, that was how adorable. Wait, had she heard that right? Her beautiful? He thought she was beautiful? Her brain suddenly seemed to be centered on that one word, she couldn't possibly think of anything else but the fact that a very charming English boy had called her beautiful without even a small warning. She was really blushing now, Justine wouldn't have been surprised to find that her hair had turned as red as she was sure her face was. Justine remembered fairly quickly that she was supposed to be speaking. ""You're welcome, I meant it.... " She said, her voice trailing slightly as she tried to think of whether she would reply to the "beautiful," comment or not. "I'm not really zat beautiful, but, zank you," Justine modestly said, deciding not to ignore it. Justine was proud about a lot of things, but her looks were not one of them, she didn't think herself ugly or anything like that, she just simply didn't think of them at all. "Very good Andrew," Justine said, nodding with approval at the young boy's understanding, she had almost expected him to be able to understand her, and was quite pleased. "Eh bien, vows avez certainement réussi." Justine added, with a small smile, He certainly had impressed her, something not many people wee capable of, and especially not in such a short amount of time. |
for Alex <3 Bay came back from the tunnel of love all happy and excited.. he found his date Alex standing with their group. "i haven't forgotten about you my dear" he said while bowing to her. "would you care to dance?" he said while standing up straight and giving her a wink. Dancing was not his thing but he wanted to make the night super fun for her. |
Bay SPOILER!!: Bay Alex was actually enjoying herself at the Ball. While giving Alex a bow, Bay asked her to dance. "I thought you'd never ask", Alex said. Offering Bay her hand, Alex headed toward the dance floor. "The band is really good, don't you think?" |
Quote:
but he smiled to keep on a brave face..he let her go and he started to dance to the music.. moving his arms and legs.. which don't get me wrong.. was really hard to do when you looked and felt like an old man. He tried his best not to look silly.. but if he did oh well. |
SPOILER!!: You two Anna gave a weak smile and giggled slightly, starting to dance with the older girl. It felt a little strange for her still, having people wanting to interact with her and cheer her up, then again, you couldn't expect much less from a girl who'd been locked up in an orphanage for five years... She looked up at her and paused slightly, "I didn't catch your name, earlier." She still had a very small smile on her face. Anna looked over at Kace and gave a little nod, though she still didn't really know who to feel about it completely. She returned the fist bump and brushed her hair back. She didn't really know what to say about it or to him right now... Could he really expect much else? She was just a little awkward already, and now she'd gone and just kinda mucked it up in her eyes... She did still want to talk to Kace, more than anything... But right now she felt if she even tried to utter more than a simple sentence to him she'd break down again from realizing what she'd done again. |
SPOILER!!: Bay Taking Alex's hand, Bay spun her around and ended with a dip. "My goodness Mr. Bay, you have some serious moves", Alex said as they began to dance. She was going to pay for this tomorrow when her old lady joints started to stiffen. What the heck, you only live once. Alex let her body feel the music and moved along with the beat. She loved to dance, but didn't really have the opportunity to do it at school. Bay was turning out to be quite a fun date. It was so sweet of him to offer to be Alex's escort. She hadn't known him before their Christmas trip to Sander's house, but she was glad to add him to her circle of friends. "You know, I really appreciate your agreeing to be my escort for the evening. You really saved the day. You're my knight in shining armor. Thanks." |
