Tessa had climbed into her bumper car with a few winces and moans. Sitting in the car was quite nice, it was the process of sitting that had taken so long. But, one step at a time and with plenty of handholds, she was able to make it in.

"Alright!" she exclaimed, getting familiar with everything as she looked around the car. The circle thing on the front, that had to be the wheel, which she could steer with. And there were pedals, she pressed them experimentally and nodded. Pretty simple- one for stop, one for go.

The Professor explained the rules and she grinned. "Oh, it's on!" she said, grinning at SAnder. And, with that, she went racing after a red stringed balloon. She chased it around, nearly bumping into others before finally catching it. Now, to tie it in the right corner... which was ALLLLL the way across the room.

Challenge accepted.

"Beep Beep!" she called out her own horn as she maneuvered across the room, finally reaching the red handle. One balloon down, many to go!

Sander nodded when the Professor gave him to use the Undetectable Expansion Charm. Discreetly taking out his wand, he tapped the inside of his car and said,"Magnus Centrum" and immediately the inside of the car was less cramped. Quickly holstering his wand he listened to the instructions. 'Okay yelllow balloon to yellow hurdle. That should be easy.' Sander thought to himself, as he started up his car.

Sander took advantage of the fact that no else had started up their car, to quickly steer his car to the nearest yellow balloon. With one eye on the car in front of him, he kept an eye on the balloon, and reached out for its string when it got closer to him. Holding onto the string tightly, he leaned forward and steered his car to the ....wait which color hurdle?

Sander looked all around before remembering, yellow to yellow. So he turned his car around and headed for the yellow hurdle. Stopping the car next to the hurdle, he leaned over and tied the delicate string onto the hurdle, making sure that he made a double knot. Okay next yellow balloon.

Now where was he supposed to look for the balloons? A string flew by him which directed his attention above him. 'Oh yeah up there' he reminded himself as he steered his car to dodge someone else and headed for another yellow balloon he had just sighted floating nearby.

Between his actions and that of the muggle studies professor, Ben had managed to stay upright. That had been close. the second year could imagine proceeding down and rolling down the metal stairs and out of the bus unceremoniously."Right, Professor," he said in agreement, planning on being very careful from now on, even more so than he had. "Thank you," Ben added, finally letting go of her arm before moving to head out the rest of the way. Thankfully no further mishaps were awaiting him and he was safely able to follow his fellow classmates to the tent .

Finding a car of his own, he sat down and secured his seat belt just in time for Professor Hadley to tell them what to do. Was it just him or did this feel moderately like the last DADA class? Just with house-colored balloons instead of appropriately colored balls. Whatever. He just knew to brace himself for any impact once the woman said go and everyone rushed around for the balloons, having the ability to get hit from all sides. I am sooo gonna hurt after this, he mused to himself as he started his bumper car, the car jerking before he got a handle on it.

Onward to a red balloon.

Bay started moving around his bumper car and was in search for a red ballon… there were so many up there… thank goodness one was near him, he took ahold of the string of the red ballon and went to go tie it to the hurdle.. "yes one for Gryffindor" he thought while he went in search for his next.

Sander called out,"Get out of my way" grumpily as someone's car drove right in front of him. He quickly headed off in another direction with one eye on the cars in front of him, and the other looking upwards. He sighted another yellow balloon and quickly gave chase. When he was near enough he reached up to grab the string, but the balloon floated out of his grasp and his fingers brushed but missed the string.

He turned the steering wheel in the direction of where the yellow balloon floated. When he got nearer to it, he stood up partially in his car and reached out with both hands to grab the balloon's string before quickly sitting down and grabbing the steering wheel, quickly straightening the car before it hit the wall in front of him.

Driving his car over to the yellow hurdle, he took the string he was holding in one hand and tied it around it a couple of time before tying a knot on it. Two yellow balloons sitting on the hurdle.

This was why Muggle Studies was Lux's favourite class. This was the first lesson, and she had already known before hand. Professor Hadley had lived up to expectations and then some. She was also the Hufflepuff Head of House, which made her even COOLER.

Steering her car around, Lux was on the look out for a yellow balloon, but it was hard when they kept moving around, and she was short. Finally managing to grab a hold of one, she drove over to the yellow hurdle and tied it. One point for Hufflepuff."

Sander immediately drove his car away from the hurdle past Bay's car, to whom he waved as he drove by. He quickly had to turn his wheel around when he saw that his car was headed for a blue hurdle. He quickly made a hard left and when he looked up he found himself headed towards a yellow balloon floating among a group of blue ones.

Sander drove under the group of balloons, trying to sort out the yellow balloon's string from the blue ones. He traced the string dangling down from the yellow balloon and when he found its tail, he grabbed hold of it and pulled it out from the group. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that he did indeed have a yellow balloon.

He drove his car to the yellow hurdle and tied the string tightly onto the hurdle. Three yellow balloons.

Alex put on her blue jacket, gloves and goggles as instructed. Then she sat back and enjoyed the ride. The Professor revealed that the would be going to ride bumper cars. Bumper cars! Alex hadn't ridden bumper cars since she was a little girl and she couldn't wait to do it again.

As the reached their destination, the Professor explained that they would not only be riding in the bumper cars. They would be playing a game-for house points. Alex found an empty car and climbed in.

When Hadley gave the go ahead, Adi wasted no time in steering his Batmobile shiny blue car in pursuit of a yellow balloon. This was fun! He was closing in on it when he suddenly yanked his wheel, narrowly avoiding crashing into someone. He was still after the balloon but it was farther away, floating around, bouncing from place to place.

"Oh come on!'' Adi almost yelled. He continued his highspeed chase. Closer...closer...he leaned forward and grabbed the yellow string. ''Gotcha!'' He steered over to the yellow hurtle and quickly tied his balloon next to the others.

This was so much fun, though there was a moment where Lux had thought Sander would bump right into her. "Watch the driving, Sander!" she called out to him. Goodness gracious! Shaking her head, she sighed before getting her mind back to the task at hand. Searching through a sea of coloured balloons, she reached out for a yellow string, catching it and driving it over to the yellow hurdle again. Another point, she thought as she tied the string.

Tessa was speeding around, just having a great time. She dodged and sped around, laughing the entire time. She managed to catch another balloon and sped off toward the proper color handle. She attempted to tie the balloon on, but her fingers fumbled and the balloon sailed away- seeming glad to be free again.

"No you don't!" she growled, and sped after the balloon once more. Thankfully, it didn't get far, and she quickly brought it back to the handle- tying it correctly. That was two!

Alright, one yellow balloon down for him. Adi stared up, trying to spy another yellow balloon. Because of this, he did not notice he was heading towards another car. CRASH! The Puffer jerked his eyes back to in front of him. "Sorry!'' he called to the other driver. Ugh! He needed to keep his eyes down on the ground too.

Adi steered towards the balloon. He was going to get this one! Or not. Another car had suddenly come into his path so he had to yank the wheel and now he was going in the opposite direction. But he got lucky for there was a yellow balloon just ahead. It was right next to a green one.

He steered his Batmobile in it's direction and streeeeeetched out his left hand. Balloon in hand now, Adi steered to the yellow hurtle where he secured it with the others.

Bay moved around Lux and Sander "watch out you crazy drivers!" he laughed at them while snagging another red ballon…. on his way over to the hurdle the string slipped from his fingers.. "darn it" he thought while spotting another one.. he grabbed the string and wrapped it around his fingers..

moving towards the hurdle again he tied it tightly to the hurdle.. yay thats awesome he had two red balloons now.

Benny was a horrid driver. At least of bumper cars. His movements were jerky and spastic which was not helping anything one bit. "Ow..." Forget him being able to grab and hold onto a balloon, the only way he knew what was red and his target and what wasn't was the fact that the strings matched the floating orbs they were tied to. So he tried to focus on the strings as he moved around as much as he managed.

Red ribbon...red ribbon...red ribbon.

He had finally gotten close to one, close to try and grab ahold of it. However he was just a little too far away and when Ben tried to drive the bumper care closer then he was, the second year overshot the spot he needed to be and the ribbon not only passed into the vacinity of his hand but slipped through his fingers. Cue sigh and rubbing the back of his neck as it pained from the jerk. This was not going well for him. Not really any better then the chains.

Two balloons for his House down! Adi was feeling pretty good about himself. He was grinning. Maybe if he wasn't so sure of himself he might have noticed that the balloon he just secured to the hurdle had come undone and was now lazily drifting upwards.

But the boy was off in pursuit of another balloon, thinking he had secured two balloons.

after tying his second balloon Bay moved around the other students. he thought he caught a red one but he was already on his way to the hurdle… once he tied it he noticed it was a blue one.. "whaaaa….. how did i mess up my colours?" he thought while he went in search for another… red one of course.

So, while his second balloon drifted towards the ceiling of the arena, Adi was chasing down another one. His third yellow one. Or so he thought. And for some reason, this time he was being disturbed less by the others. His path seemed more clear.

This made it very easy to grab the next balloon though he nearly crashed into someone else on the way to the hurdle. Adi fastened the balloon to the Puffers' hurdle. Yay! He was doing great!

Sander drove his car around the other cars, laughing as he almost hit one or two of them. He was having so much fun, that he actually forgot what he was supposed to do. He only remembered when he saw the other students grabbing for their house colored balloons.

Shaking his head angry with himself, he turned his attention to the balloons floating about him. When he sighted a yellow one, he have chase, driving his car in the direction the balloon was floating too. When he got near, he reached up and grabbed the string but missed, and watched it fly over his head and behind him. Sander immediately turned his car around and gave chase.

He was determined to catch that yellow balloon!! This time when he got near, he reached out with his hand and when the string brushed his fingers, he grabbed hold of it tightly. He dragged the balloon along with him until he got to the yellow hurdle, he turned his car around so that he was sitting right up next to the hurdle. Then he reached up with both hands and pulled the balloon down, tying its string securely to the post. Then he began singing softly to himself,"Tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree," as he drove off to find another yellow balloon.

Tessa raced around, her eyes on one particular string. The balloon had been evading her, dancing just beyond her reach on multiple occasions. Her eyes narrowed, and her brain suddenly clicked into Quidditch mode. She zoomed around, taking risky paths between bumper cars. But that was alright. What was life without a little risk?

FINALLY!

The string was in her hand and she held it tightly as she sped back toward the red corner. She tied the balloon, making extra sure that she had tied it correctly. There would be no getting away for this balloon.

Adi turned to the right after securing his last balloon and promptly crashed into a white car. "Hey! Don't damage my Batmobile!'' he joked to the other person. He grinned at them and veered off in the direction of a cluster of balloons. Hmmm. He'd need to make sure he picked the right balloon. He could see all four House colours in that group.

He edged closer until he was directly under the cluster. Craning his head upward, he was able to spy a yellow balloon. It was surrounded by green and blue. He grabbed a string he thought belonged to the yellow balloon and pulled it. Only... it belonged to a blue. He grabbed another. Still another blue. He yanked at another. Yellow!

With the yellow balloon's string in his hand, Adi made it to the yellow hurdle without any crashes. That balloon soon joined the others there.

Tobias squinted up at the balloons. Okay, yeah... easy to reach, sure. But he had tiny arms. Like a T-Rex.

................... no. No, he was not going to think about dinosaurs again.

It was hard to see the strings he needed to grab hold of, but Toby didn't have time to dwell on that. He seemed to have missed Hadley's count in, because everyone was suddenly driving. Well, may as well get started!

Eyeing a yellow balloon someway off, Tobias glanced around to make sure nobody else was headed for it, and took off in that direction. He stuck his tongue between his teeth in a face of concentration, and willed the bumper car to go faster, getting ready to reach for the string.

This time around, Adi did not have to go very far for a yellow balloon. This one was lurking just some feet away from the Hufflepuff hurdle. Despite that short distance, he almost had two more crashes on his way over to collect the balloon.

Luckily, he was able to avoid them (though he thought he grazed the second car with his) and retrieve the balloon. Adi maneuvered back towards the Puff hurdle and secured the balloon.

Sander was on the move. His eyes constantly scanning the balloons above him, even though his neck was killing him. He had a feeling that once this game was done, he was going to have problems moving his neck without its muscles screaming out in pain.

But for now, he clenched his teeth and bit the bullet. 'No pain, No gain,' that's what coach always said. So with that thought in mind, he went hunting for his next yellow balloon which he spotted floating at one corner of the arena. He steered his car towards the balloon unknowingly bumping a car out his way.

His mind was all on that yellow balloon which was now floating right in front of him. Sander moved his car around and around as he tried to catch the string. His fingers brushed it a couple of times before he finally caught it between his middle and index finger. Grabbing on tight to the string, he raced his car back to the yellow hurdle and tied the string securely around the hurdle. Another yellow balloon tied down. On to the next.

It seemed to Lux that some of her classmates were having a lot more trouble with this task than she was. Probably due to the fact that she had none of the symptoms that a lot of the students did. Driving her bumper car around some more, she kept her eyes out for any yellow balloons, reaching out and snagging one as soon as she was under it. Without the recklessness of some of her fellow drivers *coughTessacough*, she made her way over to the yellow hurdle and tied her balloon to it.

moving around was so much fun… yup defiantly best class ever! turning the wheel on his bumper car he spotted a red balloon mixed with a bunch of yellow ones… Bay just needed to have it.

he drove ever so carefully over to it and snagged the ribbon. Driving back to the hurdle he tied it extra carefully, for some reason Bay thought this was the king of the Balloons.
