"There should be a list. A ranking of the statues' attractiveness." Yes. There should be a book about that. So that future students would know which statues were worth visiting. Though, she actually didn't tend to visit the statues based on their physical appearance. Portraits maybe.

Yes. Yes, that made sense. Olly nodded slowly, leaning against Lachlan's face slightly without thinking. "Well, I can't even remember the last Head Girl's name." No, even after a few additional seconds of trying to remember, she couldn't. "So you must be doing better than her already." Yes.

Ignoring the fact that Ella was in her house AND had been Quidditch Captain last year.

"Perhaps you should make one. You seem like the expert, after all." What? She totally did. Ella had no idea her fellow Hufflepuff felt so strongly about the statues. You learn something new every day.

Speaking of statues, Olly was getting close and personal with Lachlan and Ella smiled a little, moving so that she could lean against the wall opposite the girl. The former Head Girl? "Her name is Kat. Pretty Slytherin. Pretty vicious Quidditch player too." In case Olly was interested. "She was cool." And they'd had a handshake and everything. The eighteen year old couldn't help but wonder how she was doing now.

"Thanks for the vote of confidence," She said sincerely, resting her head back against the wall. ..."You're nicer than I thought you'd be."

Huh, maybe she should, yeah. She'd get right on that. It wasn't like she had a whole lot to do this term anyway. Plus, she could just drag Schuyler along. Make the 'research' a little more fun. Though it would take a while. Especially with distractions.

Okay, why was she seriously considering to do this?

Quidditch player. A pretty Quidditch player. "Right." Now she remembered Kat. Though she clearly had not made a big impression on Olly. She shrugged, eyes briefly flicking over to the wall behind Ella. Actually she wasn't really interested in talking about the former Head Girl. She'd just said that to prove a point.

Wait what? That oddly amused her. It was only Ella saying that so she wasn't really bothered by it. Olly shrugged again. "Don't tell anyone."

"Yeah." Speaking of Quidditch, Ella had questions. Ones about Olly and whether she was excited or not but she didn't want to pry. The blonde wasn't exactly sure that the younger badger was a sharer. Maybe if she just continued talking about the subject, Olly would offer up the information? Maybe. "You did well as a beater, y'know."

Don't tell anyone. The Head Girl smiled a little at this. She wanted to explain that she hadn't thought Olly was mean, merely that she didn't think she was particularly interested in talking to Ella. Instead she nodded and said, "Your secret is safe with me."

Oh. Somehow they'd gone full circle and were in fact back on Quidditch. How had that happened? Olly hit Lachlan's nose with her palm repeatedly without really realizing it. She shrugged. "...yeah?" Things like these made her somewhat uncomfortable. Hence why she just shrugged again.

She still wasn't sure if she even WANTED to be on the team.

"You give me candy." That was meant as an explanation as to why Olly was being nice to Ella. Though there was a small smirk on her lips she was being entirely serious actually. That had been the reason as to why she'd even started talking to the Head Girl.

Bay leaned against this statue.. which he didn't know why but all the statues here were giving him the major creeps. Whistling he waited for Louis..this is the place he told him to be..

Louis walked down the corridor until he reached the statue, a small rock in hand. He bounced it in his hand, throwing it up in the air and catching it as it fell. Yep, he was taking his beloved pet for a walk. It needed some fresh air.

As he spotted a fellow Gryffindor leaning against the statue of Lachlan, Louis smiled.

"Hello handsome," he greeted playfully. "Are you waiting for someone or will you let me take you home with me?" Ehh, ehhh? *Eyebrows*

Bay was starring off in the other direction so he didn't see Louis come up to him until he heard hello handsome only Louis would talk to him like that.. "pfffttt ahahahahah i'll let you take me home" he said while laughing.

He noticed a rock in his hand and he could only smile "dude… enjoying your pet?" he asked with a grin.

"where were you coming from?" Bay had only just left the common room and he needed to stretch his legs..and arms.. and well everything else, being old sucked.

Louis laughed along with his best mate. That's what he liked about Bay, he understood his playful humour. "You'd better start getting used to being talked to like that, being in the Quidditch team now and all..." he said with a smile. "I heard the girls go crazy for the athletic types." Yep yep. This was scientific fact.

He looked down at the rock he was carrying and laughed. "Loving it. Easiest pet to take care of I've ever had."

As Bay asked where he was coming from, Louis's smile faded and he looked away a little awkwardly. "Just, y'know... down the corridor." Right. He was coming from down the corridor. "What about you? Did I pull you away from anything important?" Hm?

"when I see it I'll believe it.. mate… thats just crazy.." he gave a look to his best mate that was like REALLY? "I don't know why… its not like were doing anything too special…" he trailed off.. he loved Quidditch but he wasn't sure if he wanted to go "Pro"

"AAHAHAH…im glad you like it… and its the MOST easiest thing to take care of" laughing some more.. Bay gave Louis another look…. sureee you were just down the corridor…"

"nope nothing important at all.. just was putting some of my parchment and quills away in our room… just dropped of the Charms Extra Credit homework… have you done that yet??" he asked for if Louis didn't didn't do it Bay would gladly help.

Louis laughed when Bay expressed his disbelief. "I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the possibility," he said. "You're gonna have fans left and right, I'd have to make appointments to hang out with you!" He could think of at least one lady who was already a huge fan of Sir Bay the Gryffindor Knight.

And speaking of said lady...
"You, uh... wouldn't happen to have seen Lux recently, would you?" Did Bay know yet? He seemed happy enough, so Lou could only figure he hadn't heard about the incident.

Lou's never done any homework but he's supposed to be a good student soooo... let's pretend. "Just turned it in this morning," Lou confirmed with a nod. Yep, he'd totally done all his homework and extra credit and everything and anything else there was to do.

Bay just kept laughing through Louis's whole little rant.. this is why he was his best mate.. always made him laugh.. "dude…. i'll redirect all the ladies your way.. and wait what…you will never need an appointment man… never…" he gave him a stern look to mean that he was serious.

why was Louis now all so unsure… "no.. I haven't seen her in a few days.. we've only started to hang out again since… well you know… but i haven't seen her in like two days… yeah two days..why whats going on?" he asked…oh wait.. did he really want to know…. gulp……

"awesome…." he said but he was still wondering what was going on.

"Wow you'd do that for me?" Lou asked with playful surprise when Bay assured him he'd just send all the ladies his way. When the Gryffindor went on to more sternly assure him he'd never need an appointment to hang out with him, Louis grinned, genuinely flattered this time. "I know, mate." Bay was so nice to him. *Sniffle*

Oh right, back to the Lux subject.
Louis looked away awkwardly when Bay brought up the 'incident', but looked back at him again when he asked what was going on.

"Um..." Should he tell? Obviously poor Bay didn't know. But should he know? Would he hate Louis if Louis knew this information and didn't pass it along to him? He wasn't sure what to do. He also didn't want to get Lux in trouble. "It--I-- I just saw her. Um. Outside." That was so informative. Gahh. "I have, uh, I have a question, Bay..." Serious talk. "If, um... if something kinda similar to what happened at the lake - hypothetically speaking - happened, what would... your reaction be?"

"of course i'd do that for you…" he confirmed… nodding his head.

smiling at their gushy bromance talk he shook his head.. right Louis said that he had something to tell him…

umm?? this wasn't working out so well.. common Louis and spit it out…. "okay" he answered when Louis told him that he saw Lux outside.. okay was that the news?? Listening to the rest..

Bay's face dropped… "Did….she….kiss you…. again??" he said with a straight face.. he was not going to act like he did last time.. he had no write.. she wasn't his and vice versa but that didn't mean he had to like it.. but she was free to do what she wanted.

Louis was regretting the question before he was even done asking. Was it too late to back out now? Bay was a smart guy, he'd probably figure out that his question was anything but hypothetical.

And indeed Bay got the hint - but in the completely wrong way!
Louis's large blue eyes took up his entire face as he heard the question. WHAAT?!?! "NO!" Aw Merlin what had he done?! "No! No, not-- not at all!" ABORT MISSION. ABORT MISSION.

The Gryffindor nearly had a heart attack. No, he seriously did, he's like 60 now and startling him like that took a toll on his health.

"Not... me..." muttered Louis, looking at the floor and running a hand through his hair awkwardly. "Um. Someone else." But he wasn't specifying yet if this was all still hypothetical or not.

Bay saw Louis's reacting.. "ahahahah its okay mate… I'm not mad.. oh not you…" he shook his head.. what was he going to do with Lux kissing all of these other boys.. "I'm okay.." he said breathing in and out..

"who was it?? do you know?" he wasn't mad but he still wanted to know the news…. looking at his friend he looked like was going to pass out of fear.. he patted him on his back "mate…I'm alright really.." he said…there was no way he was going to react the same way like last time… he still felt bad about it… mostly yelling at his best friend.. not cool.

Louis gave Bay a weak smile, reassured by his comments. Who was it? Oh... Did he ever ask the boy his name? Louis thought back on the scene. Even though it had just happened, details were a little fuzzy due to his bad memory.

Then he remembered Lux had called out to the boy as he was running off. Oh! "Um... Danny? No-- Donny. Right, yeah, I think that was the name," he muttered thoughtfully. Then his eyes widened and he stared at Bay. Wait a minute, had he just dug a grave for the Donny boy!? "You're not going to hurt him, are you?"

Lou knew his friend was a peaceful creature but he wasn't so sure anymore since the lake incident.

Donny?? Bay hasn't even heard Lux mention a Donny before… "Is she going around kissing strangers??" he gave his friend a look.. what was going on with her..

WAIT WHA------

"No…no…and no… I don't even know the guy.." Bay confessed… "she's free to do what ever she wants.. but like…she's kissing everyone.." he saddened a bit.. Changing the subject he asked Louis "so how are the girls treating you??".. yup good subject to change too...

"I think they're friends," said Louis with a shrug. "He seemed like a nice kid, actually." He didn't want to go and get the other little boy in trouble too. But he understood Bay's concern. It WAS a little worrisome how their little Lady of the House of Hufflepuff was just going around kissing people. You'd think she had backed off the idea after that initial incident.

"You don't think she's going to... I don't know, become one of those boy-crazy girls, is she?" he asked thoughtfully. The thought of his little Lady growing up into that rather terrified him. She was like his little sister, she wasn't supposed to grow up! D:

Ehhh? Girls? Nice try, Bay.
"They've been fine," Lou replied simply. He wasn't sure if he should mention how much time he'd been spending with Delilah lately, or that new French girl... 'cause both were totally irrelevant subjects! BACK TO THE TOPIC, SIR BAY. "I think what you need is a distraction," he decided. "Meet some new girls, perhaps." Y'know, to get his mind off Lux kissing every boy in the school for a sec.

Well it was good to hear that he was a nice kid.. "she's going to confuse a lot of boys around here" he laughed.

Bay shook his head "i hope not.. I didn't go girl crazy when I was that age….maybe Tessa will talk to her you know..girl to girl" Maybe he should suggest it to her.. a good bonding conversation for them to have.

"FFFFIINNNEEEE….EHHHH" he moved his eyebrows at him… RAWR….

oh his distraction didn't work.. Bay pouted a little bit. "oh really… maybe not other girls but what other distractions might you suggest?" anything right now would be good.. other than Quidditch, that only takes up some of his time.. he needed something else to occupy the rest.

"I think she already has," said Lou with a laugh. Seriously, though. Lady Lux was turning out to be a bigger troublemaker than he ever expected; he just hoped he, Bay and Sander could keep up...

When Bay mentioned the idea of Tessa talking to Lux, Lou's expression turned a little thoughtful. "I think she was going to do that soon, actually. Sander mentioned something about it. Maybe you should ask her." Because at this point it was probably best if another girl talked to Lux. Maybe she would be able to better explain things to the second year Hufflepuff.

Hmmm, distractions for Bay...
"You could always accompany me to walk my new rock," he suggested playfully as he brought up the small rock in his hand. "I don't know, mate... what about visiting the tree house? Maybe being a kid again can help you forget your problems."

Has she made Olly mad or something? Not that the girl's expression had changed much but the assault on Lachlan's nose was an indicator that something was different and it made the seventh year wonder. "Yeah. I mean, I've never seen you play and you took to Quidditch pretty quickly so I'd say that's doing well." Should she not have mentioned that or?

Candy, right. Ella raised her eyebrows slightly and tilted her head, as if studying the younger girl. "So bribery is the way to get on your good side, then? Noted."

Olly shrugged again. "I hadn't actually played before tryouts." Actually she'd only learned how to handle a broom around half a year before that. Thank you again, Alice. "Maybe I've just got talent." That was what the Gryffindor had said, no? Though, the way Olly had just said it made it sound like she was being sarcastic.

Which she was...sort of...maybe...she wasn't entirely sure, really.

Bribery? Olly thought on that and eventually shrugged again. "Depends I guess." Pause. "There's other ways to get on my good side too." She smirked at Ella, but didn't elaborate. This clearly did not apply to her actual friends, obviously.

Well that...was new information. Ella's eyebrows raised slightly but that was the only indication that she was surprised. Both Forrest and Tobias had also been ridiculously good when they had started so it really wasn't that out of the ordinary. It did say something about Olly's talent, though. Which, she seemed to think too. The Head Girl smiled a little, noting the sarcasm. "That and you seem to be a quick learner." She wasn't going to compliment her any more, though. Instead she tilted her head and asked, "You like it so far, being on the team?"

That smirk was just...Ella didn't know what to think so she merely nodded her head and replied uncertainly, "Right." She wasn't into buying people's friendship so she hadn't been serious when she suggested bribery, though she was kind of assuming Olly wasn't totally serious too. She was just hard to read, Olly was. It was slightly unnerving.

Ella's reaction wasn't QUITE what Olly had hoped for. Being taken seriously had NOT been something she was prepared for. A quick learner, though? "Apparently." Where Olly's usual confidence had disappeared off to, she didn't know but somehow she was REALLY keen on changing the subject right now.

Only Ella asked another question. "I guess so." Okay? Were they done with that now?

The Head Girl's reply both was and wasn't satisfying for Olly. The latter mainly due to the fact that it left no room for follow-up questions or any other way to continue that part of the conversation. "How's Alec?" Yes, and that was probably the lamest question of them all but Olly didn't care.

Also, could she sit down? Lachlan wouldn't mind right? So she did exactly that. Sit down on the floor to the statue's feet. Ah, yes, better. Sort of.
