Addi bit her lip. She knew the feeling. At least she'd be seventeen this summer and could use magic at home. As long as she was careful about it that is. Lots of muggles in and out of her house on a daily basis doing various things. "Well, at least when you turn seventeen then you can do it."

Adelaide grinned. "Disney movies are the best. My parents keep trying to tell me I'm too old for them. But there is no such thing." She was really glad she was friends with Jun now. Because Disney movie buddy.

Jun nodded. "And thankfully there won't be too many muggles to deal with. With my family at least. So there'll still be rules to follow," Which should be abolished because Jun was pretty sure many people nowadays knew witches and wizards existed. "But becoming seventeen is still a year way,"

What a load of rubbish! "Disney movies are foooooreveeeeeeer!" Jun sang that last word. Something he hadn't been able to do a lot lately. And it annoyed him because he liked to sing a lot. But old lungs weren't made it singing. "Can we have sleepovers with Disney movies, candy, sweets and maybe butterbeer?" Because then he would hide out in Addi's house and not transfer schools. Sounded like a plan.

"Lucky you. I'm going to have to be around muggles for the rest of my life. Yay politics." Adelaide hated that world, but she wouldn't just drop her parents like that. Especially since her and her mum were finally getting close again. Her dad was still an entirely different story. "That's not too awful." Then it hit her. "I turn seventeen in June." Now she was excited because apparation.

Addi laughed at the random singing. "I know!" She thought about singing in return, but no. He'd already heard her sing once. She smiled. "Yes, yes. My mum has been wanting to meet some of my friends anyways. So I can't see why they'd say no. It's not like we don't have the space..." Her house was pretty ginormous for their small family.

"Oh, right. Your parents are politicians," That was one thing Jun had forgotten about since aging. But not her name. Because he hardly ever hears it back home or anywhere he's around. Jun playfully scolded her. "Let's switch birthdays, yeah? You don't need to be seventeen yet! Enjoy sixteen another year," Mhm, but being sixteen wasn't so grand like any other age. Seventeen just meant a lot more to witches and wizards.

Oh good. Disney sleepovers with Addi! "Then I hope I don't make a bad impression," Which he sometimes did but it was accidental. Parents usually said something that made him annoyed and Jun could barely hold his tongue. But he's getting better at it. "Remember when I told you I've thought about making sing into a profession?" She must've, even though it was a long time ago.

"Yeeeep." Addi said, popping the 'p'. She still hated it, but it was her life. She laughed. "I would be okay with that. One more year of Hogwarts. No having to go out in the real world." Because switching birthdays meant switching years too. Because that was totally a thing.

She smiled. "I'm sure you'll be fine. Mum's just happy I have friends in the first place." Adelaide was happy she had friends too. She nodded. "Yeah. Did you look into it more?"

Ew. Adult life.

"Y'know what? Never mind because going into the real world means more responsibility," Which the boy didn't want to go into just yet. He liked being a teenager and having his parents take care of him. For the most part, at least. Other times he would just do things himself. To show maturity and all that. He was sure Addi could handle all that.

Jun nodded. Addi probably didn't have much friends because of homeschooling. But she once mentioned other politicians coming over with their kids. Or was he just making that up? "I signed up for auditions for when I move andtransferschools," He might've said that last part a bit too fast. And certain people *coughlikethelionprefectcough* wasn't at all happy about it.

Adelaide laughed. "Dang it. Had a feeling you might say that though. The idea of having to be an actual adult is really scary." Sure she was pretty sure what she wanted to do with her life now, but that didn't make it any less scary. Even more terrifying actually.

Addi smiled wide. "That's fantastic!" Then she caught the last bit and her smile faded. "Transfer schools?! Nope. I'm not allowing it." Mainly because he was her only non-snake friend. She needed at least the much variety. Plus she didn't want to lose him her last year there.

"Yeah, like here get a job. Pay bills. Move out. BECOME RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR LIFE," And it was something no one really wanted once they were used to being taken care of. And too bad his brother was now eighteen so he had to endure all that. Pretty sure he wouldn't like it one bit.

Jun laughed. Just as he thought. "Don't want to but parents are being persistent and annoying about it. They say Mahoutokoro is much closer to home," Maybe Jun would take Lex's advice and go on a hunger strike. But survive on candy or small foods he sneaks into his room. It might work.

"Not to mention pick something you want to do for the rest of your life. At least I have baking." Adelaide was glad she had that. She could always try running her own bakery but that was even scarier. "I'm thinking about culinary school. Becoming a professional pastry chef. Or quidditch. Maybe."

She knew all about having to be closer to home. Even though it was actually home where she was. "You're not allowed to go. You are going to be here for my last term and that's that." Maybe she could try and talk to her mum...

"I say both because I get free treats, yes?" Which be better. "And I'll be your number one fan on the pitch," Also a given. It was always nice to have those good friends that reached for high goals. Back home, there weren't many friend of him who had them. Being muggles, they went for simple things like working at restaurants or the shopping mall. Thankfully they never asked Jun what he wanted to do.

"You'll have to tie me down to something so my parents won't make me go," Convincing them was hard. Now Jun knew where he had gotten his stubbornness from. It was never a good trait.

Hmm. "Could always do that. Open a bakery when I retire." Obviously Adelaide would steal bake that entire time. It was her relaxation thing. "If I make a team, I'll make sure to get you the best seats." Because that's what friends were for yeah.

"I'll lock you in one of the guest rooms at my house when you come to visit. They'd never find you." Addi was not joking. She'd keep him fed and everything.

"And then you'll hire me if the music thing doesn't work," But he'll never get employee of the month. Jun'd be the reason why all the sweets in the shop went missing and many more had to be baked. What a loss of money that would be. "Good. I'll be sure to dye my hair red for your matches," #1 Fanboy.

"No need to take drastic measures now," Jun laughed. Lex said she'd have him tied up in her house. Char would pay for his gates for travel back and forth. And now this. "There's still time to convince them. Fingers crossed that it works,"

Adelaide gave him a smile. "Of course. But the music thing is going to work out." Because if he was going to be optimistic about her life, she was going to be optimistic about his. Even though she was. She never was about her own life, but everyone else's was always going to turn out right to her. "That would make it easier to find you in the stands." Bright red hair and all that.

Adelaide laughed. "Got anything that always works on them? Puppy dog eyes? Pouting?" Because those things always seemed to work on her.

"You think so? Because I'd have to train for years before I'm even considered being part of a new music group," That whole thing was a long process. Imagine training for years and years and still not be considered? Jun would probably give up and head to a university or something. Dream crushed. "That'd make it easier to find me anywhere, really," Because it was either a bright color or dark. Depending on his mood.

Jun sighed and shook his head. "I get my stubbornness from them so no. I sent letters, howlers, threatened with the MLE. Though my girlfriend suggested a hunger strike," But like he told her, his parents would shove food down his throat.

Adelaide nodded. "You've got the talent. What's a little hard work." Everything required some hard work. The natural talent was a major bust. She laughed lightly. "Yeah you're right. I can imagine I'm pretty easy to spot. Even zooming around on the pitch."

Addi looked at him a little shocked. "Girlfriend? That's a new development since the last time we talked." She wondered who it was.

Laura couldn't believe it soon she was leaving Hogwarts for good and it just wasn't fair how time had flown. It seemed like yesterday she was starting a bright and bubbly first year who was known to be a bit of a handful, she remembered losing points in her first lesson because Meany-McQueeny had been teaching the lesson. Seriously her answer was good even if it was silly and she was sure the Professor had needed a hug so she had given her one.

Laura smiled as she remembered that even though she had been given a punishment by telling her head of house what had happened she had made a great friend that day in Minnie, she really missed her and hoped that she would be able to see her one day but she wasn't sure when it would be. As soon as the term was over Laura was going to be busy doing a lot of other things and so she just had to hope that she could send an owl to Minnie as soon as she got her NEWT results.

Laura sighed as she thought about her three best friends, Carigan, Ella and Sophie it was going to be weird not knowing that she was coming back to share a dorm with them though she hoped that they could be friends for life and she wanted to see them whenever she could but she would have to wait and see again.

Laura suddenly felt a few tears coming as she looked at the statue and then she realised she couldn't stop them, it wasn't fair how fast time was going at this rate she would be 60 before she knew it and she didn't like that idea at all.

Why were the statues at the school so creepy? Lux always wondered that whenever she passed one of them.

Drawing her eyes from it, she spotted Laura. Sending the older girl a wave, she saw that it seemed she was crying. Oh, no! Lux did not like that at all. Walking up to her, she pulled Laura into a hug. "What's wrong?"

Laura didn't realise anyone was near her until she was being hugged. "I'm g....e...getting o....ol...old." Laura sobbed this was fair why did she have to be the ancient one here.

Laura just clung to Lux okay so maybe she wasn't acting like a seventh year should but it just wasn't fair, she hadn't explored the whole castle yet and now she was leaving it and well she didn't know if she was ready yet. "I'm going to fail everything." Laura sighed, seriously she was she just knew it.

Awww, poor Laura.

Lux patted the girl's back gently as she cried. "There there. You are not old and you aren't going to fail everything." Lux was not sure if Laura was referring to the term in general, or just her NEWTs but regardless, she surely would not fail. As long as she had worked hard and studied she would do perfectly fine. If Laura had made it this far, she could make it the rest of the way. Besides, jockeys surely didn't need amazing NEWT scores. It wasn't as if Laura was becoming an Auror or something.

Laura just continued to cry and she hugged Lux "I am old." Laura was sure of it seriously she was a seventh year and they were old or they looked it when she was younger now though the younger one's seemed to get shorter and shorter as time went by. "I will I just know it, I'm going to fail NEWTS, I just know I'm going to fail them."

Lux bit her lip as Laura kept crying. She wished she could help the girl feel better. "You are not old. You are young, and you are about to step off in the real world and the next stage of your life." It was something both scary and thrilling at the same time, and Lux would eventually be doing that herself. "You won't fail your NEWTs. As long as you study and try your hardest. You made it this far, you can do it." Laura just needed to think positively.
