The Badgers sit under a brand new gold and black banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. It was once said that the Hogwarts House Elves are the best in the world. It is up to your stomach to agree... but surely it will! Why wouldn't it like elf cooking?
If you're thirsty, there is also fresh pumpkin juice and water on the table, regardless of whether or not it is actually mealtime.

"Like I said.. nevermind." She didn't want to tell. Nooooo.
.... What? Delilah eyed him suspiciously for a moment before she realised he was being serious. Oh.... wow. That sounded like a brilliant idea. Brilliant. This boy just kept surprising her. In a good way, of course. Except.. "Do you think I'll make a good model?"
Louis laughed aloud when Delilah accused him of being rude. "I'll keep in mind to share next time." Maybe. Delicious croissants were hard to share.
The Gryffindor narrowed his eyes at Delilah as she insisted on forgetting what she'd never even mentioned. All the more reason he wouldn't. "C'mon, now I have to know." Please? Would it work if he pouted again?
A good model?
"The hypnotizing Delilah? Of course. The camera will love you," he replied with an amused smile. Jokes aside, he really did think Delilah would make a great model. She had the features and the right energy.
"Yes, please. That would be nice." Delilah couldn't help but smirk a little. See, he just seemed to listen to whatever she said. Nice boy, Louis. She approved.
UGH. NO. Why was he SO curious? "No, Lou, it's not happening. Just drop it, yeah?" She could be stubborn when she wanted to be. She couldn't help but blush slightly. What she was gonna say... Nope. He definitely need not know.
Hypnotizing. Heh. The blush on her face deepened just a little. "If you really think so.. But, this is so exciting!" Delilah grinned happily, leaning forward a little. "Where should we do this?" Hm. Somewhere in the grounds, most probably. The lighting would be perfect.

"I'm afraid I can't do that." Nope. Louis had no plans to 'drop it' any time soon. He liked mystery, you can't blame him. "C'mon, it can't be that bad. Unless you were about to suggest murder. That would've been bad." And in which case yeah, he'd rather not participate on that.
He smiled with amusement as the Hufflepuff's face went pink, before she went on to ask where they would have their photoshoot.
"Hmm. Somewhere on the grounds, perhaps. Or up in the tower patch by the observatory, it's set up pretty nicely," suggested Louis, his expression turning thoughtful as he looked up at the enchanted ceiling of the Great Hall for a moment. "What does the model think?" he asked, looking back down at the girl across the table.
"Fine. I was going to say...." OHMYGOSH. Delilah was so, SO embarrassed. It definitely didn't look like he was going to drop it and it was better to just say it than have him pester her non-stop. She wanted to make something up but.. the girl was honest. SO. "I was wondering whether you would blush if I kissed you." MORE!BLUSHING. She hurriedly continued, "Which is clearly not gonna happen so I'm not sure why I nearly said that. I'm sorry."
"I was thinking somewhere on the grounds as well.. but the tower patch would be perfect too, I think. I don't know.. It's totally up to the photographer." Delilah said, raising an eyebrow at Lou. So. Where's it gonna be at, Lou?

Oooh, the moment of truth had come. Louis was all ears as Delilah began her confession... which consisted of kissing him. Oh? He'd expected it to be something embarrassing or shameful. But before he could reply, the Hufflepuff had already made her mind up that no such thing was going to happen.
"It's not?" he asked, lips curving into a smile. "But then you won't get to find out if you can make me blush."
And then he had to decide where the photoshoot would finally happen. HMM. Ooh. He could just imagine - from the tower patch, not only was the fountain and the shrubs there, but the background view! An aerial view of the black lake and the grounds! It would be stunning. It was like he'd already taken the photographs in his mind. So, "Tower patch it is, then."
Tower Patch. Awesome. Maybe Delilah would have to check with Airey if it would be okay with him.. but it didn't matter. She was pretty he would be. He was super cool. "I don't have any fancy outfits so my faded jeans are gonna have to do." She did have a couple of dresses, though. Hmmm.
Delilah stared at him for a moment. She wasn't sure if she wanted to kiss him just to see him blush.. And what if he didn't blush? The girl hesitated for a few moments but somehow, her body had a mind of it's own. The girl slowly stood up and leaned down towards him until her lips were just a few inches away from his...
... before suddenly pulling away. This was so not happening in the middle of the great all. Too public. She flopped back down on the bench and shook her head. "Not here."

"How grunge of you," commented Louis as Delilah mentioned she only had faded jeans to wear. "I'm sure you'll look amazing either way." He took a sip of pumpkin juice from his goblet, growing a little distracted by thoughts of the upcoming photoshoot to notice the blonde girl standing across from him.
Gulp. Uhh..
The boy placed his goblet back on the table and furrowed his brows at Delilah as she just began to lean towards him. It took him a couple seconds to realize - she was about to kiss him! And without warning, too, how spontaneous of her.
And just when it seemed like Delilah's rosy lips were going to meet his, the girl pulled away. Just like that! Louis's blue eyes flickered open, his expression puzzled. What was that?! Just a second later, the girl was sitting again as if nothing had happened.
"Wh--what?" Must've been karma for not sharing his croissant. Brief disappointment crossed the boy's features for a moment - was it terrible to admit he'd kind of been looking forward to kissing his new friend? - before he snapped back to reality. "You're a real tease, D," he said with a soft chuckle, shaking his head in shame for having fallen flat for that trick.
Delilah would look amazing either way? She grinned happily at him, turning a little pink again. Gosh, all the compliments were making her blush more than usual. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ears. Ugh. It sucked that she blushed when she really didn't want to. "You're kind of sweet. Thanks." Yeah. He totally was.
The Hufflepuff bit her lip and looked around, really hoping no one had seen that. They didn't kiss but STILL. She still didn't want people coming to the wrong conclusion.. whatever that may be.
... And the boy's reaction was absolutely hilarious. He actually was disappointed and that made her smirk more than ever. The fact that he wanted to kiss her too was sort of making her giddy. With happiness, of course. And she so wanted to go through with it. Even if it was the worst idea ever.
"Not here, Lou." Delilah repeated, raising a brow. Transalation: They could go somewhere more private, yeah?

Louis smiled when the girl before him blushed and called him 'kind of sweet'. Only kind of? He'd have to work on that.
The boy had lost all hope in ever getting a real kiss from Delilah, when she specified her earlier words - she wouldn't kiss him here. As in, no kissing in the Great Hall. Louis didn't object, but he seemed amused. "How secretive, D. You wouldn't happen to have a boyfriend you're trying to hide your crush on me from?"
"Absolutely not! If I had a boyfriend, I wouldn't be suggesting that we make out!" Gosh. If she was taken, she wouldn't even be here flirting or being over-friendly with Lou, right? And also, she'd never even had a boyfriend yet. Not because she couldn't get one.. it was cause she'd rather wait, you know. Wait for Prince Charming and all that jazz.

HAHAHAHAHA.
Louis laughed aloud when Delilah basically freaked out at the inappropriateness of his question. "Good. I was just curious," he replied innocently.
The Gryffindor finished off his pumpkin juice and let out a happy sigh. "Well. I have class in a few minutes and two essays to write for tomorrow morning," he announced. "So... I will meet you for our shoot soon? Just send me a note whenever you have a clear schedule."
Smiling back at the boy who looked rather confused, Lux decided to explain herself. "You said something was the best, so I asked what you were talking about." Maybe she was being nosy if he was talking to himself - which he seemed to have been - but she had been curious and couldn't resist asking.
Looking at his hand as he extended it, she saw the green nails and raised her brow before taking it in hers and shaking it. "Nice to meet you, Donny. I am Lux. But you can call me Cucumber or Ariel." She was also Little Lux, but only Elodie could call her that, because Elodie was really cool.
Was it not obvious that potatoes were the best..? Donnacha definitely thought it was. 'Potatoes are.' When it came to food anyway. Food that wasn't sweets. Or fish fingers. Fish didn't even have fingers.. and he wasn't sure they'd be any good if they did have fingers. Too many bones he thought as he examined his own hands. Hardly any meat on them. 'D'you like potatoes? They're the bread for dinner.'
Donny smiled, noticing her raised brow. 'Like my nails?!' Of course she did. Girls liked nail polish. And boys... did sometimes. Donny just liked the colours... and the pretty girls that painted his nails. Especially Elodie. ....Cucumber was a food name. Not a people's name. He grinned and examined CUCUMBER. She didn't look like a cucumber. 'Why cucumber? Do you eat them lots? Some people eat them with peanut butter. Not me. Do you.. Do you know that there's sea cucumbers?' He rambled on, Ariel was a sea thing too, he'd heard that somewhere. 'Ariel eats them. Maybe. I like the sea.' And she was Ariel, so that meant she liked sea-stuff, which meant they should be friends. It made perfect sense.

Aaah, potatoes. Of course. She should have known. "They are rather yummy," she agreed with him while answering his question to her at the same time. While potatoes were not cucumber sandwiches or Chocolate Frogs, she did enjoy them at meals, and they had also proven to be good ammo from a sling shot.
Oh, pretty nails were pretty. But she was not sure why a boy would be wearing nail polish. "The colour suits you," she said with a smile. Well, it was true, and she didn't want to be rude to him because he seemed to be a really nice guy if not strange for having his nails done. "Cucumbers are awesome. Have you ever had cucumber sandwiches?" Because if not, she would have to let him experience it.
Wait... SEA cucumbers?!
Lux gasped. "So they are like cucumbers that merpeople eat?!"

OHMYGOD.
See! Everyone loved potatoes! Spuds! You could boil 'em, mash 'em, fry 'em.. And there were crisps, those were potatoes too. The possibilities were endless.
But they weren't sweets. You could eat potatoes for dinner and as a snack, but sweets were ALWAYS a good idea. Always. ...But potatoes! 'They're like.. like..' ..what was their name again.. '..like iguanas. But with flavours!'
Green did suit him. Or.. he'd hope so, cause it was a nice colour, not too girly either. 'I can paints your nails, if you want. Green would be pretty with your hair.' Right? Donny shrugged, green would do for Ariel, the mermaid Ariel wore green! 'Mermaids have green seaweed and that..' But.. cucumber sandwiches. Weird. Very weird. Vegetables belonged in salads. Or was it a fruit in disguise? Like tomato..? Ariel, Cucumber, LUX seemed pretty cool so far, so maybe her love for cucumber sandwiches wasn't all that weird. He'd have to find out. 'It sounds funny. What's it taste like?'
SHE LIKED SEA STUFF TOO?!?!?! Donny nodded, not actually sure if merpeople did eat sea cucumbers. They should find out. 'Yes! Maybe! I have a book.. about sea stuffs, we can see! See sea stuff.' He giggled, that was a clever one.

Iguanas?
SNORT.
Lux had never thought to compare iguanas and potatoes before, since one was a yummy root vegetable, and the other was a lizard. Iguanas probably did not taste good. "So... I take it you like lizards?" They were alright, she supposed, but she would rather have a pet dog than a lizard.Dogs were nice and friendly and they could also be trained to do tricks like play dead. You couldn't play Frisbee with an iguana.
Did she want him to paint her nails? Lux was never one to really bother with manicures, but she had let Willa paint them for her more than once... and green was a nice colour because it made her think of mermaids. Ariel had a green tail. "Sure you can!" Hopefully Donny would not do a bad job of it, since if she was going to have to go through the process she would rather not have her nails look terrible. "They taste like perfection." That was all there was to it. Perfection.
OOOOH. Maybe sea cucumbers tasted better than normal cucumbers.
"Oh, that sounds great! Let's do that!" She wanted to look at his book on sea stuff because it seemed rather interesting.

Hungry seventh year was hungry.
It was only as Alec had finally waddled off the last step into the Entrance Hall that he had realised that... he needed a seat. And LOTS of food, as his stomach so kindly told him. Somewhere he could sit down and eat because he was tired, yet again. And the Great Hall was a lot closer than the kitchens, for once, so... he was here. More specifically, at the Hufflepuff Table.
Where else?
Maybe he should sit at this end of the table that was closest to the door, yeah? He didn't want to walk all the way to the other end of the table. Not today. Look at how far away it was! So settling himself down on a seat, the boy looked around at all the food there. What... to... eat...
... Not that piece of cake. Not that Alec didn't mind cake but... not today either. Something less... sugary, actually. But that was the only thing he was surrounded by. Sugar sugar sugar. TONS of it, too. The castle was full of teenagers and sugar was still a major part of their diets but... no. Leaning forwards, he set his elbows down on the table and his chin on the palms of his hands, a small frown spreading across his face. Somebody bring him something... healthier? Please?
... Maybe he should have gone to the kitchens, then.

Ana really didn't know why she was sitting at the Hufflepuff table, maybe because they had yummier looking food? Point was when she'd dragged herself from the Dungeons to the Great Hall to eat she'd chosen to sit at the Badger's table. She'd been enjoying some good food as well. All nice and nutritious, which was strange for her. Normally she was all about the sugar.
Although that wasn't Ana's only reason for being in the Great Hall. She also needed to do her Charms homework and where better to get some unsuspecting person to eat charmed food than the place you went to eat. She hadn't seen her victim yet, but just in case she decided to surreptitiously cast the charm on a bowl of vegetable soup, imagining a fairground on the coast as she did so. "Sentio Somnium," Ana whispered, as she circled her wand around the bowl before holstering it again and stirring the soup with a spoon to make it look less suspect. She'd totally just been stirring it. No spells cast. At all.
She was beginning to wonder if she'd ever find her victim when she noticed an odd looking boy. The Head Boy to be exact. His hair still looked touchable, and she so wanted to touch it to see if it was as touchable as it looked since she hadn't had a chance to do so yet, but it had grey in it. Seems like he was suffering from the same ailment as she was. He also was looking around at all the sweets down that end of the table as if they weren't good enough for consumption. Interesting.
Making a decision Ana stood up, grabbing the soup as she did so and moseyed her way over to Alec. He might as well be her victim. "Can I interest you in some soup?" she asked as she plopped down next to the boy, giving him a small smile as she did so. Didn't need to give away that there was anything suspect going on here.

Alec hadn't really noticed the fact that someone else was sitting at the Hufflepuff table as well. All he knew was that he was hungry and all the food surrounding him just wasn't cutting it. No offence to the elves, the food was probably really great! He... was just looking for something else that didn't look like it was around here. Maybe he should have a look at another table?
Just as this thought entered his mind, someone... was speaking to him. All thoughts of table switching vanished from his mind when his grey-blue eyes landed on... ... girl. Girl from Astronomy who knew a lot about back pains. Ana, right? And, she had SOUP?! Did she know that he was in need of something healthier and not sugary?
"Yeah, please! What kind is it?" We. She could have some too, if she wanted, but... he was just going to grab a spoon and look intently up at her. Maybe he should have been a bit careful about being offered food out of the blue like this. ... Maybe.

Good. He didn't seem to finding her offer of food suspicious. That was always a plus. Because she didn't want to have to eat some of the soup just to prove there was nothing wrong with it. That would defeat the whole purpose of observing Alec while he was in the daydream.
What kind of soup was it? Enchanted soup. Better not say that aloud though. "Vegetable, I think," Ana replied as she pushed the bowl closer to Alec. She was just being a good person that was making the sharing of food easier t'was all. Because she was a nice girl. Not one that should seem shifty in anyway. Although her house might imply otherwise.
She was so helpful that she even held out a spoon for Head Boy Sir to take.

Vegetable soup? That sounded much healthier, which the boy liked the sound of. Although, it was soup. Soup was bound to be healthy. Unless it was chocolate soup that was filled with sweet-like goodies. Eh. This was vegetable soup and Alec was very hungry and incredibly grateful tha Ana had offered him some. "You're the best. Thanks!" She was nice enough to offer a spoon, too! Accepting it, he scooped up a good spoonful of the delicious looking soup and...
... nom nom nom.
... Wait. Hold the snitch. Did this soup... taste funny?
Alec didn't really have much to compare this with, since he wasn't someone who had a lot of vegetable soups in his lifetime. It was always chicken. Always. And sometimes tomato too. Not that he had anything against veggie soup but... this was a little different, wasn't it? Or maybe it had a lot to do with the fact that part of the soup was still sitting in his mouth. Gulping it down, he looked over at Ana to give his verdict when...
... she disappeared.
And she wasn't the only one disappearing either. His grey-blue eyes widened as he looked around at the disappearing hall. "Ana, what's..." Would she be able to hear him if she wasn't there? ... Okay. Breathe. Relax. Hold onto something sturdier so that if he was sucked into a vortex, he could delay things for a while. So... he was just going to hold onto this table right--
There was no table. Uh oh. Was it time to panic now?!
... Or not. Why? Look at where he WAS! All thoughts of the great hall, soup and Ana were driven out of his mind when his eyes scanned his surroundings. Was this a fairground? It WAS! And right near the coast, too! There was a Ferris wheel, a stand that made delicious looking candy floss and... we're those bumper cars? "This is the best thing ever!" Because to this Hufflepuff, he was completely alone. No Ana, no Hogwarts, just him and a fairground.
Bumper cars. He was going to go over THERE first! Getting up from his seat slowly, Alec made his way over towards the ride, which only included the boy heading a little further down the table. Subconsciously, he ends up sitting down in a seat that wasn't too far away from Ana. Picking up a plate, which looked like the wheel of his bumper car to him, Alec started driving the 'car' forwards. The plate was moved to the left and the right and...
BOOF! Cue his head jerking forward by the supposed hit with another car.
"Hey, it's all in the name of good fun!" Nods for you, driver he had bumped into which... was actually just an empty seat. Not that Alec knew that. And he was just going to sit here an continue driving (moving the plate left and right and 'bumping' into other cars), yeah? Awesome. GRIN.
Awesome. GRIN.
"No need to thank me," Ana said, giving Alec a smile in return. No really. He shouldn't be thanking her because she wasn't giving him soup without her own motivations. She did hope he wouldn't mind too much though since it was homework. Personally Ana thought it would be more polite to ask someone if they'd mind helping her out with it, but she couldn't so it had to be done this way. Hopefully he'd like the fairground.
Ana watched with baited breath as he took a spoonful of the soup into his mouth. Now he just needed to swallow. She leaned forward slightly trying not to look too excited about what was happening. She didn't want to give up the ghost yet. If she did he might spit the soup out or something. She also hoped the soup didn't taste too weird, or that if it did he wouldn't take any notice of it. Ana bit her lip nervously as he swallowed. Would it work.
"Sorry Alec," she said apologetically as he became aware that something wasn't quite right. Hopefully she hadn't just put him off taking food from people in the Great Hall.
"Alec," Ana called again, waving her hand in front of his face to see if she could get a reaction out of him. Apparently not, he just got up and walked a short distance away looking happy. So the daydream had taken then. At least deceiving Alec would be worth it then since she'd get the information she needed.
Pulling out a notebook and a pen, it might be Muggle but it was mighty helpful in these situations, Ana kept her eyes on Alec as she scribbled down what she was seeing.

He also looks a bit strange, using a plate as what I can only guess is a steering wheel. He must be driving a bumper car or something.
Ana stood up after she'd taken down a few notes so that she could get closer to Alec. As he was moving about in the daydream she wanted to stick nearby to make sure he didn't get hurt. Just because she'd put him in this situation that didn't mean she wouldn't make sure he survived the experience intact. It was the least she could do after all.
As she stood beside him Ana took the opportunity to run her fingers through his hair a little. He had previously given her permission to touch it, so she was doing so. Nothing creepy about that at all. She also wondered if he'd be able to feel that sensation in the state he was in. She'd have to document it if he did.

Also his hair, definitely as soft as it looked.
Alec didn't hear the apology or the calling of his name or the fact that Ana seemed to be waving her hand in front of him. Everything about Hogwarts had been fuzzed out, including Ana. Shame. She probably didn't really need to apologise. Sure, why wouldn't you spike someone's food in the Great Hall?
... This was going to be joked about in the future. He knew it.
Right now, though, he was the joke since he was still using the plate as a steering wheel and trying to bump into as many cars as possible. And then... OOMPH! "HEY!" he called, looking over his shoulder at another 'bumper car' that had bumped into him from behind. But this was only a game which meant that it wasn't rude. No. That... wasn't going to stop the boy from turning the bumper car around -- lots of plate turning to the right -- and then...
OOMPH! Directed by him this time.
"YEEEEEEEES!"
Keeping a hand on the plate, Alec held a fist up in the air as some sort of victory stance. Revenge... wasn't bad. Not in a game of bumper cars. It was all in the name of good fun, right? And this was a LOT of fun. Maybe he should... go and get himself some candyfloss? Maybe. But his stomach still didn't want something that was sweet and sickly, it wanted something... healthier. Which... then made him think that he was forgetting something. Was he...?
It was hard to think of that when the wind was blowing in his hair, making it feel as if someone was touching his hair instead. The Hufflepuff grinned to himself and resisted the urge to reach up and touch it as well. It felt nice, it did. As if someone was giving him a hair ruffle.
Letting the plate sit down on the table, Alec sat there. Grinning. Stupidly.
*It had been another long night for Romulus. And by long night he was hitting the books and finishing his homework early. He had been having trouble sleeping so why not do all his homework a week early? Finding a seat he loaded his plate with eggs, bacon, potatoes, a muffin or two, and toast. Looks like another growth spurt was coming on.*

Ok. So Alec couldn't see her. That was a plus. It meant he was probably completely into daydream land by now. Hopefully he was having a good time. It looked like he was having a good time in any case.
Ana observed Alec very closely, also keeping an eye out for other students. Hopefully this didn't look too strange... It probably did. Alec was looking quite...eccentric. Yeah, eccentric was the word she was going to go with. Some might call it crazy.
Ana jumped slightly as Alec looked almost directly at her and yelled. For a minute she thought he was yelling at her, that maybe the spell hadn't taken as well as she'd thought. But then he went back to driving the car and she realised he must have been yelling at someone in the daydream. Interesting.

He's reacting as though people are hitting into him, even yelling out at them. However, he doesn't appear to be angry, more having fun and going after them, using a plate in lieu of a steering wheel. It seems that the subject is quite taken with the daydream I concocted.
He can also feel outside stimulus, but does not seem able to identify that it came from outside the dream. I ruffled his hair slightly and it appears as if he believes that it was simply a breeze doing so.
Ana was quite taken with the idea that Alec could feel outside stimulus and so wondered what else she could do that could get some reaction from him. Spotting a pitcher of water Ana brought it closer to her pouring some into a glass before looking back at Alec. She wouldn't use all the water but it would be interesting... Making up her mind she began to sprinkle the water onto him, just to see his reaction.

Alec was completely in daydream land. So much so, that he had even forgotten that he had been in the Great Hall moments before. He didn't even realise how weird he looked at the moment. To him, it was just him in a large fairground right near the coast. And looking weird was the least of his worries.
... He didn't have any worries. Look how AWESOME everything was!
So... maybe yelling wasn't something he should have done. But it was a fairground, right? And the bumper cars section was very very LOUD. All those bumper cars that were hitting each other and whizzing away. Grinning, the boy steered the plate some more right until he hit yet another bumper car, causing him to jerk forwards some more. But... GRIN. "WOOOOOO!" And he was going to drive around some more, yeah? Awe--
...
BLINK. ... What...?
Stopping his steering, he blinked up at the 'roof' of the bumper cars area, which was actually the ceiling of the Great Hall. "I... it's raining?" Confused Summers was confused. He even held out a hand and let some of the small droplets fall onto the palm of his hand. It was raining! But... "Is it... meant to be raining?" Yeah... he was very confused.
... But rain meant... Alec reached up a hand and ruffled his hair. It still looked okay, right?
