Located down one end of the first floor corridor is the History of Magic classroom. It is simply an ordinary classroom, like one would expect, student desks neatly lined up in rows with the professor's desk located in the front of the room with a blackboard behind it.
Today's lesson is held late afternoon in the middle of autumn, the sun beginning to hang low in the sky with rays of light filtering in through the classroom windows. Professor McCormack is found leaning against the side of his desk, waiting for his students to arrive. Come in and take a seat, there are no assigned ones here yet. But Professor McCormack has taken a note from one of his old mentors as he knows the name of exactly one student, so please follow the instructions on the board.

Ana was seriously questioning why she was required to attend so many classes at Hogwarts. There just seemed to be no end to them and she was so exhausted lately that she didn't know how she was going to cope. Luckily though she hadn't found any more grey hairs since the Astronomy lesson. If she had she was likely to pitch a fit, or descend into hysterics. She wasn't sure which but she was sure it wouldn't be pretty.
As it was she barely managed a slightly enthusiastic, "Morning Professor," as she dropped into a chair in the middle of the classroom while stifling a yawn. Dropping her bag on her desk she haphazardly pulled out everything she required for the lesson, noting with annoyance that her textbook had managed to slip from the edge of her desk onto the floor. She eyed it for a few seconds, contemplating picking it up before deciding that it wasn't that important, and simply dropped her bag next to it.
She sat still for another few moments before her bleary eyes, which seemed to be operating at less than spectacular levels lately finally made out the words written on the board. Another class with name tags? Barely suppressing a sigh Ana pulled the name tag towards her and slowly wrote her name on it.

Slooooolwy, but surely Hannah made her way to the classroom. History of Magic was seriously boring, but it was something that she was going to have to do. The seventh year was still not feeling any better and she was wondering if anybody else was having the same problems as her? All of this was not making her attitude any better and that was not where it should be on a good day.
She was actually one of the first ones here and that was weird considering how long it took hr to do anything nowadays. She spotted the professor and gave him a nod. "Hello professor." She went and found a seat and sat down slowly. What was really going on?
Delilah stifled a yawn as she made her way to the next class. She'd spent the entire day in the library and too much studying had made her feel rather tired. The blonde entered the classroom and greeted the professor with a weary smile. "Good evening, professor."
She wandered over to one of the seats in the middle and sat down, dropping her bag on the floor. Please let this class be over soon. The Hufflepuff wrote her name on the name-tag before leaning back against her seat and waited for class to begin.

Why was this lesson so late in the afternoon? Adi was feeling extremely tire and would like nothing better than to take a nap right now. If this new Professor was boring, that would make the whole falling asleep thing a whole lot easier. But he really hoped the lesson was going to be fun. Professor Dursley had made his lesson interesting.
"Good afternoon, Professor,'' Adi said to the man. He smiled before slowly making his way over to a random seat. He eyed the name tag and the notice on the board. Taking a leaf out of Botros's book maybe? Adi found his quill and hastily wrote his name on the tag:

History of Magic was another one of those lessons, like Astronomy, which Terry strangely enjoyed. Sometimes learning about the past could be fascinating and the Slytherin hoped that this lesson would live up to it. Though he was sure the Professor had something up his sleeve, surely?
He entered the classroom, briefly glancing around. Individual seats? Bleh. "Hello Professor" he quickly smiled at the man before flopping ungracefully into the desk next Ana. What were these pieces of paper? His eyes fell upon the board with the instructions for the name cards. He drew out his quill and ink scribbled 'Terry Radley' briefly on the piece of card.

Umm.. What was up with Ana today? The sixteen year old waved his hand in front of her face hoping to get her attention. She looked like she was going to fall asleep. "Are you alright?" he whispered at her. Because she definitely didn't look it.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
The grey hair on the top of his head had gotten slightly worse over the past few days and Kevin was Lucky that he had short hair because if it continued like this and he had long hair the baseball cap that was currently on his head couldn't hide it. At least he could hide his hair but the small wrinkles around his eyes was something he could not hide. Unless he wore sunglasses but he had none.
Maybe his parents were right and eating so much food was bad for you...but get wrinkles from it?! Someone had done a prank on him , he was sure. Entering the room, he found the Professor sitting against his desk and with a small nod of encouragement he stepped towards him. "In case you're going to ask, i'm not taking this off" he pointed to his baseball cap. "So don't bother asking...and hello" Yes, very brave! And rude but he did not care.
Turning around, the kid found a seat somewhere in the middle and began to write down his name on the name tag.

History of Magic. Ugh. Might as well crucio her and be done with it.
Alexa dragged her feet into the classroom...but strangely enough, it wasn't only because she was dreading this subject. No. Her joints had been feeling a bit stiff. The Gryffindor needed some time out of the pitch to have a proper work out. All this sitting still and trying to study was starting to affect more than her hair.
From the corner of her eyes she caught that Kevin kid...being rude, BIG surprize but from what she'd gathered from Botros, Professors preferred handling rude students on their own so...he was ignored.
"Good day Professor. Mind if I stand for a bit? My knee's saying no to all bending." Which included sitting unfortunately. Lex grabbed the name tag thing from the table and did some quick scribbling.

Scared that he was going to be running late, Alec had missed his usual morning shaving session which meant one thing and one thing only: stubble town. It wasn't as bad as it could have been, something that the boy noticed as he walked as quickly as his aching body could towards the History of Magic classroom. Small stubble. It was definitely just a bit noticeable if the person was close enough.
Just WAIT till he told Wade about this.
Readjusting his grip on his bag, the boy entered the classroom and took a look around. Nothing weird? Awesome. But then again, this was History of Magic. Nothing weird could be brought in, right? Right. And the professor? "Hello Professor!" he said, giving the man a smile and a nod.
Turning away from the man, Alec headed off towards an empty seat near the middle of the classroom and sat down slowly. His usual writing supplies were set out onto the desk and it was only after his bag was dropped to the floor beneath his desk that the boy's eyes found the board. Nametag? Okay. Quill... ink... scribble...

Once that was done, he set his quill down and sat back. Comfortable, this was. It was good to be sitting down again.

Umm.. What was up with Ana today? The sixteen year old waved his hand in front of her face hoping to get her attention. She looked like she was going to fall asleep. "Are you alright?" he whispered at her. Because she definitely didn't look it.
Ana blinked sleepily, eyes unfocussed as a strange moving shape appeared in front of her face. What was that thing, and why was it near her? Ana forced herself to raise a weary arm and attempted to make a shooing motion at whatever was annoying her, hoping that something was there and she wasn't just hallucinating due to her exhaustion. She was therefore relieved when her hand made contact with whatever it was. Her fingers closed gently around the object, only then noticing that it was a hand. It took her a moment after that to realise that hands were attached to bodies. A body which was speaking to her.
At that point Ana made an attempt to turn her head towards the person. "Hi Terry," Ana murmured back, giving him a tired smile when she recognised him. "I...don't actually know," Ana replied honestly, deciding against lying when it would be a pointless endeavour, stifling another yawn with her free hand, her brain not even registering that she hadn't let go of her fellow Slytherin yet. Who, somewhat unfairly, looked wide eyed and bushy tailed. Well, he looked like he'd had a decent amount of sleep at least.

Grumpy Ella was grumpy.
She'd found a gray hair this morning. A GRAY HAIR! And Ella Bishop did NOT do gray hair. She wasn't Gran, she couldn't rock that yet. Merlin, what if someone had seen that before she plucked it out? O__O Hair problems were the WORST. She needed to get a handle on anything stressing her out before another one popped up or worse, her entire head started being covered in them. Just...no. She couldn't let that happen.
The eighteen year old wandered into the classroom, the usual smile missing from her face. She did force one when she saw the new professor, though. She needed to make a good impression even if she was dealing with the hair crisis of the century. "Hello, Professor."
And then the blonde slowly made her way over to a seat by Delilah, needing to surround herself with good hair vibes at the moment. "Hey." The fellow blonde badger got a faint smile and a finger wiggle in greeting.

HISTORY OF MAGIC!!! Why was this on his schedule. Honestly these classes that are all about the books are just dumb. Especially ones that were for history. He saw someone carrying that one.. That Hogwarts a history you should be thrown right into Azkaban for being forced to read something that boring and big. Nope this class was already on his lame list and seeing all the students look half dead already he figured it was on their's as well.
Half sliding in just for the fun of it he looked at the professor. Funny looking dude now wasn't he. "Sup Professor" He grinned at the man and turned to it fellow classmates. Were they all taking sleeping potions or something. As he headed to find a see he stopped near the head boy, "Hey Wade's boyfriend ever hear of hair removal charms or even a muggle razor?" He did move closer though, "Dude if that's from a potion want to share? I could have some fun with that." It's exactly what he needed for his girls dorm prank he wanted to pull. He was in aww at the older boys facial hair really. He didn't know a teenager could do that well other than Wade, but Wade was a different breed altogether.
Shrugging it off he noticed Kevin and headed his way. Why did the boy have a hat on? He was in a building did he notice or was his back pain effecting his brain as well. Moving closer he sat his things down and plopped down next to his friend flipping the hat off his head and jumping back in shock. "DUDE YOUR HAIR... WHY THE HELL IS YOUR HAIR GREY" He looked in shock at the boy. "Your going to the healer after this class if not now. First you have a weird back pain and now your hairs grey. Someone has pulled an age prank on you." He started chuckled, he couldn't even thought of something that epic.

Ian walked into the classroom, wondering what to expect. He hadn't really excelled at this class last term. To be honest, the professor didn't make him care one iota about history. How did that happen when it was the history of magic? Ian hoped that this visiting professor would be able to ignite some flame of interest for him this term
Ian walked in and nodded to the professor. He looked to the board to see if their were instructions and noted there were. He went and selected a seat close to the rear, in the middle trying to be non-descript.
He picked up the name tag and quill and scribbled out his name:

One thing Jeremiah loved and enjoyed was this specific class. History of Magic, where you get to learn about tons of this about the magical world and well, the history of magic. It was the GREATEST! He was excited and very very pumped for todays lesson.
Ruhing in the door behind ome others, he glanced at the board and read it quickly picking a seat in the second row he quickly jotted down his name in his sloppy handwriting

After helping Mo glue down the sofa and other chairs in the common room, he made his way to History of Magic. No more feng shui in their common room." Hello, Professor" Name tags! Now this is what Nigel liked. New Professors that used name tags. Nigel loved name tags.

Alex arrived at class a little distressed. She had noticed not only several gray hairs during her morning grooming, but more hair than usual seemed to be coming out in her comb. She could not understand this because no one in her family had gray hair at such an early age. She tried to shake off the distraction and spotted an empty seat in the middle of the room.
As she passed the Professor, she paused to greet him before taking her seat. "Good afternoon Professor", Alex said. After sitting down, she noted the instructions on the board and followed them.

When Tobias arrived at History of Magic that day, he wasn't smiling.
Which was odd.
His expression wasn't quite a frown, though, it was just that he didn't have a smile or any expression on his face at all. But he just looked so... not Toby. It was out of the ordinary, but he hadn't really taken the time to notice, what with feeling just generally out of sorts anyway.
The Hufflepuff entered the room and read the instructions on the blackboard before taking up the nearest free seat. He got out his quill and ink and printed 'Tobias Tempus' on the name tag on his desk, but found himself distracted constantly by that loud Gryffindor who had been incredibly rude in Ancient Runes and who now didn't seem to know how to shut up. By the time the Gryffindor, Bart, started practically SHOUTING, he was really grating on Toby's nerves.
Huffing air out through his nose, Tobias tried VERY HARD to ignore the kid as he turned his name tag so the professor could see it. All in all, Toby thought he was doing very well at not snapping or anything, though when he got out his textbook and set it on the desk he accidentally slammed it down a little too hard.
But no. He was calm. Very calm. He would not lose his temper at the ridiculous Gryffindor.
Not yet.

So History of Magic, this would be a mighty good test for herself. Seeing that her head seemed to be perpetually fuzzy, Cat had been trying to do her super best at concentrating in classes. This class always had loads of information to retain, right? "Good afternoon." She smiled at the Professor as she walked past him to find a desk. Quickly and neatly, she wrote down her name. Caterina Moretti. Yep, that was her. She remembered her name and that was something to be happy about.
Oh look, there was a Jeremiah sitting next to her. Hi Jeremiah. Cat smiled and wiggled her fingers at him. Her good fingers, of course.

Sander slowly entered the classroom. He was afraid that he would be late especially after he had to take some extra time shaving. He had woken up and found he was practically wearing a goatee!!
But here he was now. Entering the classroom he walked up to the Professor and greeted him,"Hello Professor." Then he found himself an empty desk and sat down. He looked over to the blackboard, read what was written on it and then looked down at the desk he was sitting at . Uh huh there's the nametag.
Taking out his writing materials from his backpack, Sander picked up his quill and filled out the name plate.

Marigold walked into the classroom, a little bounce in her step despite the rumpled robes and bleary eyes. She had not been able to go to sleep last night, per usual, because of her grandfather. She rubbed at her eyes and yawned before finding a seat next to some of her friends.
Emma skipped into the classroom, smiling to herself as she reminisced about years past. Shame they had to get a new professor though, she'd rather liked the nice lady from her first year. Oh well, no matter. The only thing constant in the universe was change anyway, especially around here. They went through professors more than the Muggles did their laundry. "Good Morning, Professor!" She greeted the man cheerily.
Ooh, name tags.
Emma took her seat and promptly began inscribing her name on the piece of parchment that had been provided.
Lottie was beaming as she arrived to the History of Magic classroom, "Why, good afternoon, Professor!" she greeted the man, her smile decreasing a little so as not to show too much excitement over the fact that she had won, and she was getting a new name tag, and not that ridiculous Wisteria of Hufflepuff stuff.
Ridiculous. Yet remarkably true.
So, she took a seat next to her best friend... who was standing, by the way, and wrote 'Miss Wisteria' on her name tag, because that's what you're supposed to call her brand-new Professor. None of that Lotus stuff from the Groundskeeper, talk about rude. Also, knee pain? Huh? Her eyes were on Lex because of this.

Tag didn't arrive too early and not too late but somewhere in the middle. He was in no rush to get this class started at all, just here for to be here. The boy spotted the Professor and just gave him a short look. Tag didn't know the man, wasn't he from somewhere else? Therefore he got no greeting from Tag because he didn't know if this man was a good person or not. None of that 'good afternoon professor' silliness when he didn't even know the Professor.
Taking a seat, somewhere in the back, Tag got out his quill and wrote
Name tag: Taggart Kildare

IT felt great knowing that she was going to a lesson which she earned an O on her OWLs. She walked to the classroom with her chin up high and a faint proud smile on her face. Now that was a lesson she enjoyed. And probably that was the case with most of lessons since she had dropped those she disliked. Stuffs getting better.
The blond stepped inside the classroom and her eyes searched for the professor. Was this one going to stick around for another year or nope? She hoped he was someone whom she'd not mind. The former Professor wasn't bad as she recalls.
"Good afternoon, sir," She greeted the man on her way to one of the seats. She slipped in and dropped her bag next to her. Noticing Lex, she wondered why the lioness was standing to get a better view perhaps? She doubted that since Lex was more likely to sleep through history than to care for view. And that was something Cassia was gonna help with since she got a O. Did anyone not know of that piece of information? She was going to take tutoring seriously, whether Lex had been kidding or not.
Oh and name tag, all taken care of.
