The Lions sit under a brand new scarlet and gold banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. The food will arrive after the Headmistress' traditional start-of-term speech. To all Gryffindors, both new and old: welcome to Hogwarts!

Benjamin had gotten separated from his train companions, including his familiar left in his cage to be handled with the luggage. So it was alone that he walked into the Great Hall though surrounded by other students as their own movements echoed his. The second year headed towards the familiar landscape of the Gryffindor House table for lack of any other destination. However as he took a seat on one of the long benches, he was reminded on how unfamiliar he was with his housemates.
Sure he had been in classes with them, and passed each other in the halls and stairwells, and shared a common room. But not to the extent of actually knowing them. Ben couldn't even remember on sight any of his dorm mates. Perhaps this had something to do with the gentle reprimand he had gotten from his parents. The one about him needing to socialize more and one of the reasons he had actually been speaking to fellow students over the summer and on the train. But none of them were lions and seemingly lost to him among the other crowded house tables.
Oh well, the twelve year old turned back to his own table and tried to think on what to do as he awaited the feast.

Well this couldn’t be right. No not at all, he was told this was the table to be at. Yes Alexa had said it was, but yet the cool girl he met on the train wasn’t over here. She was sitting at that blue table. Ravenclaw he figured. Now where was his best friend? She had to have been sorted by now, but he didn’t see her. She did get off the boat, right? He knew she was nervous, but nothing would have happened it was just a small boat.
Noticing someone sit next to him Bart looked over. The boy seemed to be his age and looked lost. Was he new as well. This could be fun, “Hey you.. you sure you are at the right table?” grinning he looked around acting as if the boy wasn’t at the right one. “I think you need over there. Yeah the sorting hat said Slytherin I heard it loud and clear.” He didn’t even remember hearing the hat for anyone but his own, but no one had to know that.
SPOILER!!: Jeremiah
So, the hat said Gryffindor and Jeremiah could help the smile that was tugging at the side of his lips. Gryffindor, it would surely be nothing like his house in Durmstrang but it was better than nothing. He had a place and he belonged. More importantly, the hat at listened to his gravey threat and for that he couldn't help but smirk to himself, silly hat.
With a strut in his step he.made his way over to the table with the red and gold banners above it, he was sure to look up and make sure it was the right table... high look at the CEILING! Jeremiah looked up at the enchanted ceiling in a sort of amazement, they didn't have that where he came from. Looking up in time he turned to the left a bit, right before his leg collided with the table corner, that would of sucked, and he made his way over to an empty spot that wasn't already occupied and noticeably started looking up and down the table. Alexa Cambridge, he was looking for you.
Trying to still act as if he already had been there for a long time he looked for some other new students. This could be fun and it didn’t seem like others were paying much attention. Plus he had a little souvenir to give away. He noticed an older boy come over. Was he knew or not Bart wasn’t sure so he kept the blue possession in his pocket and gave a nod, “Sup” He looked up at the ceiling, what was the boy looking for. “Lose your owl?” Honestly had he never seen an enchanted ceiling before? Bart had seen them a few times when he was with him mum at events.
SPOILER!!: Adeline
Adeline's head turned when she heard someone say 'sup'. Her head turned to the voice that said. "Oh you know just waiting for the food." Adeline shrugged. "Sup?" she asked the boy. "I'm Adeline." She smiled introducing herself. Adeline wondered if he was new, he seemed pretty new to her. Adeline couldn't believe all of the new students that she saw everywhere from all different years too.
And there was a girl talking to him. Not that he was scared of girls or that he cared, but she wasn’t in red colors. “You lost?” Were they allowed to sit at other tables, because he might have to venture over to a Mo and Sophie if that was allowed and go find Brynn even if he had to go to the boats and pull her red hair the entire way to the castle. Nicely of course, but he’d get her behind in here. Food, food would be nice, “Why do they wait until the headmistress speaks to eat, lame” He wanted to eat now and by the looks of it that lady seemed to be taking her good old time good thing he had all those cauldron cakes on the train.

Head held high, and arms wide open, Sir Nicholas made his grand entrance into the Great Hall through the centre of the Gryffindor table. Or at least he thought it was the Gryffindor table, though considering he saw Badgers in front of him, perhaps he had misjudged the distance? Overshot the mark, even? But no, on closer observation he had been correct, and they were merely out of their seats.
"Hello" he beamed down at some of the newer faces, "Welcome to Gryffiindor!"
He hadn't even stopped to think he might have given them a fright before spinning mid-air to get a better look at them all. "So who've we got here then?" he asked, keenly awaiting introductions, since he had been daft enough to miss the sorting.
Bart was about to say more to the yellow robed girl, but his eyes jumped to a misty object floating towards them. GHOST! He had heard they lived at the castle, but had never seen them. This was so cool, could he put his arm through the man, would he let him. Maybe he could accidently fall into him or something. Jumping up he moved closer to the ghost, “Hey hi I’m Bart and you are.. a ghost.” yes he was captain obvious, but hey he was a ghost. Forcing himself to hit his shoes like he tripped on his own shoe laces he went falling forward. This was going to be so cool going through a ghost.

Kevin was looking around for a place to sit. The Gryffindor table was pretty full so he placed himself near the end of the table next to another student. As he was on the floor looking up at the ghost Bart noticed a boy talking to the ghost. “Chopped off head, you can do that to ghost? “ He had never heard anyone being able to chop off a ghost head, couldn’t they just reattach it easy it’s not like it would kill him he’s already dead or was there life after ghost life too. This was an interesting thought. He got back up on his feet and went over to the young boy. First year he was guessing. “Sup I’m Bart” So what was this boy like was the first thought in Bart’s head. He needed to find people that weren’t baby tattletales.

"Nearly Headless Nick, actually," he corrected the rude one, "and your name was?" he asked, keen to remember this one. As for Captain Obvious, Nicholas just nodded, "Indeed I am, but it's a pleasure to meet you Bart," at least the boy hadn't been rude.
As if the rude boy couldn't get ruder. Nicholas pulled a face at the pair of them, in all his years he had come to expect the question, but did he have to ask so brashly? "A blunt instrument will do that to you," he replied, taking his hair in his fist and pulling his head away, simply for show, before fixing it back in place.

Bri was still hanging around the Gryffindor table, talking to her friend, Mack, when she saw a ghost pop in. She heard that there were ghosts whom roamed around Hogwarts, but she was still a little startled seeing one with her own eyes. She was even more startled when she watched him almost pull his head straight off. Despite slightly scaring her, the Ghost, Nearly Headless Nick, seemed nice,and she felt bad for him, when he described what happen, must have been quite painful.
Now he was being hugged. ... why? He didn't didn't even know anyone...? Mitchell looked around before spotting a Lana around his middle.
"Hey Lawn Gnome." he said with a smile. It was pretty cool that he knew someone here already. "We're in the same house thing?" That's what they were called right?
... maybe he should read that history book. Heh.
It seemed like Lana's grin was now permanently stuck to her face. "We are!" she said brightly. "Isn't that great? Now we can see each other in the common room and be friends!" That was so great.
"Are you excited? How are you liking Hogwarts? I got to ride here in a BOAT. And I didn't even fall in or anything!" Yes. She was proud of herself.

Her continuous questions were interrupted when something came through the table near her. Through the table. She squeaked in surprise and pointed at it before she realized it was a person. Well. A ghost.
She quickly sat on her hands and hoped that the ghost hadn't seen her point. "Are you Sir Nicholas?" she asked, her tone giving away her awe. She'd heard of him, she had. "I'm Lana!" Because he asked for introductions and she was talking to a ghost.

Was she running late? Lex didn't think so. Sometimes a little stop for cookies down in the kitchen was necessary especially after finally getting rid of Bellaire's grandkid. At the end of last term there was a short wait but with things newly starting you never knew what to expect from the Headmistress and she did not intend to starve while she found out. That being the case she now had her bag full of cookies and made her less than early entrance into the Great Hall. The table already looked a little full, good good, no missing lions then. Pity it looked like she'd missed most of the sorting but yeah, she'd live.
As she approached the table she saw one of her friends she'd run into at the platform. "Hey Mack! You look happy. Something good happen over the summer?"
And across the way, two people (Lilfox06 & UnicornDragonPatronus) she didn't actually know but when had that every stopped her before? Especially with new people. She quite liked new people. "Hi! Welcome to Gryffindor! The name's Alexa, as luck or some bad cosmic joke would have it, I'm your prefect!" GRIN. Just next to the girl was yet another person she didn't know (Grrr..Meow). Lots of new this term, huh. "And hello to you toooo, welcome to Gryffindor! Hope you like it here seeing as you're stuck with us and all." Might as well let that sink in.
As she scanned the table her eyes landed on...even more new people? (Bumblebee) Okay, okay she wasn't complaining. Nope. Not one bit. The hat was finally doing them a favour. She approved greatly. Lex leaned onto the table and waved to get the girls attention. "Hi! Gryffindor! Exciting huh? I'm Alexa, Fifth Year Prefect." Might as well get used to saying it, right?
Oh oh oh! A little lion that was new but not particularly new to her! "Lana!" She grinned approvingly at the little lion. "You did it! Welcome to Gryffindor!"
Then the strangest thing--okay not strange, people table hopped all the time--happened. A Hufflepuff (DinosaursOnASpaceship) at the table. "If you wanna be an honourary lion, I could do a bit of quick changing with your robes. My specialty's turning things blue but I'm sure it'll work. We like company." T'was true, they did. Mostly true and looking like a legit option because there was another! (BriGranger1990). A Firstie by the looks of it. "You're not lost, are you?" Because that was Ella or Alec's job, not hers.
And would you look at that. Mr. I wanna be a Hufflepuff. "Bart. We have to stop meeting like this. I'll begin to think you're stalking me." She said with a grin, followed by a "Welcome to Gryffindor!"
Oh...oh nope, nope nope nope, another Puffer (Squishy) and lap sitting in. Nope nope nope. "Oi. Find your butt on a bench or go back to the Hufflepuff table. What do you take our table for?" Honestly, Puffers these days. Across from them was someone she was LOOKING for and wasn't he so lovely in red? "Jeremiah! Dude, where have you been. Shame I missed your sorting but Gryffindor! Congrats!" Her house, she was pleased.
Just over a bit she spotted another new one (Holmesian Feline), one not facing everyone but out? Yeah...okay. Lex gave him a light jab in the forehead and a smile. "Welcome to Gryffindor!" OH!!!!!! A ghost she'd been missing! Lex grinned over at their House Ghost. "Good evening Sir Nicholas! Haven't seen you floating around in a while." Maybe because she'd been keeping herself busy?
But oh deeeaaaar. Not HIM. Lex scowled at the little boy (DuckyLinJi). "Gryffindor, huh? Pity. We could have done without you, but welcome I guess."
Christmas was the next lion she spotted. Man, the girl was already in her last year. How did that happen? "Hey Christmas."

Bay started laughing so hard when Tessa started to tickle Cucumber. "i'll hold her still" he chimed in… while making sure no one got hurt in the mix.
His heart skipped a beat Christmas was here "Hello Christmas" he said to her while looking around for spot for her to sit.. hopefully close to him… he was really and i mean really started to like her.. he didn't care if she was older. Bentley got bored real fast with sitting on his grandmother's lap but he had kept on eye on Alexa when he saw her walk into the Great Hall. He could see everything from up there. Also, where was the food and why was it taking so long? Thank Merlin for the mango juice in his sippy cup. His mum had packed him lots and lots of fruit juice. But at least he knew where to get the stuff he liked.
Alexa had given him three chocolate frogs to behave on the train. He was pretty sure she had more, so he climbed down from his grandmother's lap and climbed unto the seat next to Alexa.

Was she running late? Lex didn't think so. Sometimes a little stop for cookies down in the kitchen was necessary especially after finally getting rid of Bellaire's grandkid. At the end of last term there was a short wait but with things newly starting you never knew what to expect from the Headmistress and she did not intend to starve while she found out. That being the case she now had her bag full of cookies and made her less than early entrance into the Great Hall. The table already looked a little full, good good, no missing lions then. Pity it looked like she'd missed most of the sorting but yeah, she'd live.
As she approached the table she saw one of her friends she'd run into at the platform. "Hey Mack! You look happy. Something good happen over the summer?"
And across the way, two people (Lilfox06 & UnicornDragonPatronus) she didn't actually know but when had that every stopped her before? Especially with new people. She quite liked new people. "Hi! Welcome to Gryffindor! The name's Alexa, as luck or some bad cosmic joke would have it, I'm your prefect!" GRIN. Just next to the girl was yet another person she didn't know (Grrr..Meow). Lots of new this term, huh. "And hello to you toooo, welcome to Gryffindor! Hope you like it here seeing as you're stuck with us and all." Might as well let that sink in.
As she scanned the table her eyes landed on...even more new people? (Bumblebee) Okay, okay she wasn't complaining. Nope. Not one bit. The hat was finally doing them a favour. She approved greatly. Lex leaned onto the table and waved to get the girls attention. "Hi! Gryffindor! Exciting huh? I'm Alexa, Fifth Year Prefect." Might as well get used to saying it, right?
Oh oh oh! A little lion that was new but not particularly new to her! "Lana!" She grinned approvingly at the little lion. "You did it! Welcome to Gryffindor!"
Then the strangest thing--okay not strange, people table hopped all the time--happened. A Hufflepuff (DinosaursOnASpaceship) at the table. "If you wanna be an honourary lion, I could do a bit of quick changing with your robes. My specialty's turning things blue but I'm sure it'll work. We like company." T'was true, they did. Mostly true and looking like a legit option because there was another! (BriGranger1990). A Firstie by the looks of it. "You're not lost, are you?" Because that was Ella or Alec's job, not hers.
And would you look at that. Mr. I wanna be a Hufflepuff. "Bart. We have to stop meeting like this. I'll begin to think you're stalking me." She said with a grin, followed by a "Welcome to Gryffindor!"
Oh...oh nope, nope nope nope, another Puffer (Squishy) and lap sitting in. Nope nope nope. "Oi. Find your butt on a bench or go back to the Hufflepuff table. What do you take our table for?" Honestly, Puffers these days. Across from them was someone she was LOOKING for and wasn't he so lovely in red? "Jeremiah! Dude, where have you been. Shame I missed your sorting but Gryffindor! Congrats!" Her house, she was pleased.
Just over a bit she spotted another new one (Holmesian Feline), one not facing everyone but out? Yeah...okay. Lex gave him a light jab in the forehead and a smile. "Welcome to Gryffindor!" OH!!!!!! A ghost she'd been missing! Lex grinned over at their House Ghost. "Good evening Sir Nicholas! Haven't seen you floating around in a while." Maybe because she'd been keeping herself busy?
But oh deeeaaaar. Not HIM. Lex scowled at the little boy (DuckyLinJi). "Gryffindor, huh? Pity. We could have done without you, but welcome I guess."
Christmas was the next lion she spotted. Man, the girl was already in her last year. How did that happen? "Hey Christmas."
Bri jumped when someone started to talk to her. She looked up and saw it was an older girl, who had a prefect badge on. Bri started to get a bit nervous "No, I..I am not lost. Oh. "That's a real shame Christmas, because me and Bay got a lot of sweets at the trolley and we ate it all in one of the compartments." It had been really good, and she had eaten a lot of Chocolate Frogs and even tried some Bertie Bott's.
Bay was being mean to her, wanting Tessa to tickle her more, so she was rather happy to be in her new spot because that made it harder to do so even if she was still near to them. "I've never seen a ghost before." She was still scared; but at least he said he would protect her.
"And don't give my spot at the table away, Bay." She was supposed to sit between Bay and Tessa. Christmas could sit at the other side of him if she wanted to, but this was HER spot.
And now a Prefect was lecturing her on her first day of school. Still feeling scared and now upset with the way she was being spoken to, she climbed into the spot on the bench and moved over closer to Bay. At least her friends were nice.

When she felt she'd greeted as many people as she needed to, Lex flopped down in an empty seat somewhere in the middle of the table, still keeping her eyes peeled for a boy with the Gryffindor Prefect Badge. Mght as well. They had to be on good terms now if they'd be working together. While she crooned her neck, trying to see past all the students already seated she spotted the very little boy who'd cost her three chocolate frogs earlier.
Oh no, he was coming CLOSER. Her eyes shot to the staff table immediately, wondering if Bellaire had SEEN. If she did, she wasn't doing anything about it leaving Lex with a little boy now occupying the seat next to her.
Her face paled as he demanded MOAR of her babies. There was no way. "I...have a better idea. Got some yummy double chocolate chip cookies from the kitchen. You want two of those, hmmm?" Anything but the candy. Have a heart kid!

Adeline scrunched her nose at his question, of course she wasn't lost, they were allowed to be at other tables, the boy looked like he was a second or third year, shouldn't he know that? "No, I'm not lost, you do know that you can visit other tables, right?" Clearly this boy didn't. Of course the talks of food again, stupid food and stuff, Adeline heard her stomach grumbled, she wanted food and she wanted it now. "I have no idea, to be respectful, maybe." Adeline had the answer to a lot of things but not to that question. "I'm Adeline." Might as well introduce herself.
Why was she making a face he was assuming he was sitting next to one of the weird girls. Bet she hair whippe as well, sigh there were to many around this castle for his liking. Oh so you could visit other tables, “Good to know” now if he could find Brynny he’d head to her table whichever that was. It was seeming more and more it wasn’t his house. He frowned at the thought, but whatever so what his best friend wasn’t at the same table no need to be upset over it. “Well we’d be quieter for her speech if we were fed and sleepy not hungry and not caring.” That was just assumed fact to him. If he was hungry he wasn’t going to pay attention so witch needed to hurry up with the food. He glanced back up to the staff table, nope they were going to be here a long while. Kevin had been watching the dramatic reaction of a boy around his own age when the Gryffindor Ghost had appeared. It was kind of hard to miss seeing someone fall on the ground you know and the eleven year old wondered WHY he had fallen down.
Had he been scared by the ghost's sudden appearance? Whatever it was, Kevin chuckled a little but quickly stopped when he realised that the guy was coming over towards his place. Had he heard him chuckle at him? His two different eye colored eyes narrowed as he looked at the boy suspiciously, ready to defend himself when....he asked if a ghost head could be chopped off ....
"What" he vaguely asked and unconsiously he scratched the back of his neck. "I have no idea , let's ask the Nearly Chopped off Head ghost?" He turned his gaze from the ghost to Bart as he had introduced himself. "Why did you fell down earlier? Were you scared? You do realise that this is the Gryffindor table right? house of bravery?" he said. "Oh, and i'm Kevin"
"Nearly Headless Nick, actually," he corrected the rude one, "and your name was?" he asked, keen to remember this one. As for Captain Obvious, Nicholas just nodded, "Indeed I am, but it's a pleasure to meet you Bart," at least the boy hadn't been rude.
As if the rude boy couldn't get ruder. Nicholas pulled a face at the pair of them, in all his years he had come to expect the question, but did he have to ask so brashly?
"A blunt instrument will do that to you," he replied, taking his hair in his fist and pulling his head away, simply for show, before fixing it back in place.
Still feeling the cold from the ghost he had the urge to step through him again, but figure it would be rude so nope he would not do it again, but he listened with interest as the boy asked about his chopped off head. He laughed and leaned in closer, “I faked it. I wanted to fall through the ghost. It was fun.” He raised his brow and laughed. It was fun so why not share the fun with others. Did this boy just question his bravery, pffft obviously he didn’t know who Bart was. “I’m not a coward” he nodded matter of factly. Don’t worry about him he could hold his own. It was the rest of these people he wasn’t so sure of. “Bart”
Turing his attention back to Sir Nick as Kevin was it, asked him about his head. “So it happened before you died or can it happen when you’re a ghost?” That would be so cool if it was when he was a ghost. Probably doesn’t even hurt then. “So how long have you been here? Did you go here when you were living or just show up after you were dead?” The ghost thing was interesting and it looked like there was one at every table. “Are you force to be at each table or do you pull straws to see which one you want to go visit?” His mum never said anything about the ghost so he wasn’t sure.

He was here at this table which meant he was cool now or well cooler, because he was always cool. His grin dropped as she joked, joking or not he was no creeper, “I don’t stalk. I figured you’d like seeing me at this table. See not a puff.” He then laughed, “I think you are stuck meeting with me more often same house and all.” or were the older and younger students apart or something. He wasn’t really sure how this school worked.

Bentley thought about it for a minute. Did he want cookies or did he want chocolate frogs? He did like cookies but he liked the frogs too and the shiny cards that he got with them, even though his baby brother Heath tended to chew on them and ruin them. Heath was ruiner. Ruiner of mommy time and ruiner of everything and he still went in his diaper. Such a baby...wait..chocolate frogs or cookies? Hmm.
"Okay we get cookies and cocolit fwrogs. Two cookie, two cocolit fwrogs." That was a good deal and that could probably last him for a day or so.

It was obvious that she was no Gryffindor. :/

Oh no, he was coming CLOSER. Her eyes shot to the staff table immediately, wondering if Bellaire had SEEN. If she did, she wasn't doing anything about it leaving Lex with a little boy now occupying the seat next to her.
Her face paled as he demanded MOAR of her babies. There was no way. "I...have a better idea. Got some yummy double chocolate chip cookies from the kitchen. You want two of those, hmmm?" Anything but the candy. Have a heart kid!
Lex blinked when the girl jumped the way she did.
...Right....Uh-huh...she would have asked if something was wrong but then the girl was stuttering out her response. Needless to say Lex was a bit confused at first but then her eyes fell to her badge and it made all kinds of sense again. She forgot about that.
"Yeah, it's cool, just wanted to make sure you hadn't twisted an extra time and lost sight of the yellow. I'm Alexa, Fifth Year and you are?" No, she wasn't in trouble, being friendly was still allowed and what better way to start than with name exchanges?

Tessa laughed as she tickled Lux, and then stopped to give the girl a chance to breathe. "You okay?" she asked, and after another moment, dove in for another round of tickling. "No mercy!" she teased, but stopped after another moment. She didn't want Lux getting hurt! Or Bay!
"Whoa- hold on there," she said, as Lux began freaking out at the ghost. "Lux, it's alright- just look at me and breathe," she told the girl, looking directly into her eyes. "It's alright, he's just a transparent person."
Christmas smiled at Lux and said "Yeah well i have a huge supply of sweets awaiting me in my trunk so i am well stocked up"
Christmas turned to Lexi and said "My summer was good been training with a few of the professional teams who are wanting me to join them after i graduate this year, and congratulations on being prefect i did not expect you to get a badge at all"
Christmas smiled at Tessa and said "Yeah i mean i don't want to be exploring on my own so we need to find a few people who will be up for exploring with us both"
Oh oh oh! A little lion that was new but not particularly new to her! "Lana!" She grinned approvingly at the little lion. "You did it! Welcome to Gryffindor!"
Hearing her name, Lana turned her head to see Alexa talking to her. "Alexa!" She grinned back at the older girl. "I did! Thank you!" She lifted her chin proudly because she was a lion and it was great. And... what was that badge? Was that... "Are you Prefect?" Her voice sort of squeaked on the last word because of the excitement. Immediately she remembered the advice that Alexa had given to her in the bookstore... what her brother had said to Alexa... and Lana GRINNED again. She only had to be good when Alexa was around to see it. Yay!
Her attention was caught by someone else, then. Someone who seemed to have as many questions as Lana herself did. Only this person was asking them of a ghost. With wide eyes, Lana leaned over and tapped the boys arm. In her best loud whisper, she told him, "I don't think it's polite to ask a dead person those things." Just in case he didn't know. It seemed like a good thing to tell him. At least in Lana's opinion.
The train ride was long and with Donny blabbering about Elodie half the time and with walking like a loner the other half, Abbi was more than happy to head towards the feast. If it had been last year she would have been more than upset to know that her best friend, Donny, was in a different house but this year she was pleased. She couldn't take his Elodie stuff anymore it was even making her dislike Elodie and that was HUGE cause Elodie was usually nice.
Smiling about the second year headed towards her table. She felt bigger than before now that she wasn't an ickle firstie at the bottom, but she also felt less childish after admitting her secret to a certain someone. It made her feel less silly, because really she had logic behind certain things. She totally could be clever when she needed to be okay? Fairies were just cool like that and they SO had big brains, but enough fairy thoughts because what happened to growing up and feeling bigger? She wasn't even wearing fairy wings. REAL BIG OKAY?
"HAAAAAI!" Giggle squeeee! Ohh and she had things that she had made befire train day for everybody, specifically the firsties. "Who wants a survival kit?" That was a little louder than the hello. Oh and did she mention the only thing she thought needed to survive Hogwarts, was candy and chocolate, cause yeah that's all her bags contained.

And now a Prefect was lecturing her on her first day of school. Still feeling scared and now upset with the way she was being spoken to, she climbed into the spot on the bench and moved over closer to Bay. At least her friends were nice.
Bay nodded to Cucumber saying they had lots of sweets "yeah but i'm still hungry though, maybe I should have eaten that sandwich" he laughed.
Try to move over he heard Cucumber saying that was her spot."oohh okay.. I wouldn't dare move in your spot.. I'll even save it for you" he grabbed an empty plate and placed it in her spot. hopefully no one would sit there..

Bay almost raised his hand like a crazy person… he coughed "I wouldn't mind being up for exploring" he said while she was in the middle of talking to the Prefect..

Grin. Lux knew that even if she met many Hufflepuffs, she would still hang out with her Gryffindor friends a lot. They were her first friends she had met coming to school, and they were all the most amazing people. Them and Willa, who was back at home. "Everyone here is so nice, I am sure I will meet loads more people in no time!" Especially when she ate at the Hufflepuff table, even if that would not always be happening.
Still feeling overwhelmed from the tickling and ghost, Lux nodded slightly and tried to catch her breath. This was too much excitement for a 12 year old like her to take!
"But... he's dead." The last word said in a terrified whisper.

Why was this no surprise to Lux? Oh, right... because Christmas was awesome! "You are much smarter than me. All I have is a stash of Chocolate Frogs." Since that was her favourite treat. It would be so hard not to stuff her face with them later until she was sick. Meh.

Hearing a voice behind her, Lux looked and saw that there was a girl who looked almost her age. "Hello! I want one!" With all the scary dead people and Prefects around, she was sure that she would need one.

That comment about the sandwich made Lux roll her eyes in amusement. "Yeah, and I would give you 10 Chocolate Frogs if you managed to eat one of those AND keep it down." And she guarded her Chocolate Frogs with her life, so her giving up even 10 of them was a big deal! She didn't think Bay could manage one of those sandwiches.
