by Gideon Gert (Macavity) The Lions sit under a brand new scarlet and gold banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. The food will arrive after the Headmistress' traditional start-of-term speech. To all Gryffindors, both new and old: welcome to Hogwarts!

Mackenzie slowly made her way into the great hall, she hadn't seen this place in a year but of course it felt so much longer. She made her way to about halfway the table and just looked around and the hall. This place made her feel comfortable, she had friends here and they really were her family. Her eyes scanned the staff table to and of course she saw Headmistress Truebridge, this made her smile, there were a few new faces and she couldn't wait to find out what they taught.
*mental note* send Headmistress a small gift She really did owe her for letting her return to Hogwarts after her sudden absence.
She sat and watched as more and more students filled the great hall, seeing where they would sit. Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws, Slytherins, and of course her fellow Gryffindors. She looked for the one's she remembered. Hopefully she could sit with Lex and maybe Bri would also become a lion. She would for sure be able to talk to someone then.
Mack knew it was inevitable that she would have to make friends with the people in her own year. Which was strange since they were younger than she. But hopefully they wouldn't be too harsh on her.
She didn't mind telling people why she had missed an entire year, but she also hoped they didn't keep asking her questions about it. She had had a year to say goodbye to her parents. One year to attempt to come to terms with her rotten fortune. So maybe coming back to school would be her first step forward in what had seemed like a very long pause in life. The pain the blonde felt was still just as sharp today as the day she received the owl from her grandfather calling for her immediate return home at the end of her second year at Hogwarts.
She caught herself smiling as she watched everyone file in, grins on their faces, laughing and cutting up with friends. She hoped that one day she could find herself as happy as they were.

Tessa took a seat at her new table- Gryffindor was it? Well, that was going to be something to remember. She vaguely remembered what qualities the hat said were most prominent for this house, but there was just too much else to take in.
"So, Lions?" she said, sitting down at the table with a grin. "How's it going?" She looked up and down the table, students of all ages settling down around them. This was something she was familiar with- every school seemed to think an opening gathering was the best way to start the year. Not all of them were feasts, but she was glad this one was. She was hungry!

Silver was grinning from ear to ear! She was so thrilled to have been placed in the house of Gryffindor. The house her father once thrived in.
Skipping down the hall she found her way to where all the students were suppose to be.
Gryffindor table! "Gryffindor!" She cooed, there were students arriving. Yet she didn't know none.
Taking a seat at this wonderful table, soaking in all the magic surrounding her. Not to mention all the eye candy.
Boys. So many boys!

Lana ran straight from the sorting stool to the Gryffindor table. She was HERE. She was a GRYFFINDOR. Gosh, she was smart. She knew it. She couldn't wait to write to Jake and tell him.
"MITCHIE," she squealed, because his was the first face she saw at the table. "You're a Gryffindor too!" She ran up to him and HUGGED him around the middle because he was already sitting down. Then she claimed the spot next to him and looked around at the other people that she realized were there also.
"Hi," she chirped happily to anyone within earshot.

Adeline had to keep her mind off of her hunger, but she was just starving, that train ride really did a toll on her need for food. The seventh year Badger had eaten a ton of food on the train ride here and she was of course hungry, what a weirdo she was. Adeline knew the hunger had to do with having her common room near the kitchen, was that not true? She just felt the need to eat whenever she wanted and it was just a freak accident that the kitchen area was near Hufflepuff Common Room. Adeline walked over to another table, maybe socializing would be good for her hunger or just let her get her mind off of food and her growling stomach.
Adeline decided to walk over to the Gryffindor Table, just shake some things up a bit, she could only remember a few faces that were in Gryffindor and didn't that Christmas girl she met on the Platform say she was a Gryffindor? Adeline went over and just found a free place to sit down, hopefully none of the Lions would judge her for being a Badger.

Bri was sitting down at the Hufflepuff table, when she noticed a familiar blonde girl sitting over by the Gryffindor tables. She got up and start to walk over there, seeing other students going to different tables. "Hello, Mack. How are you?" Bri said happily when she got close to the other girl, hoping Mack didn't mind Bri coming to meet her.

"You're just mean," she pouted before joining him in laughing. She really was hungry, but at least she had some good friends to talk with to distract her from it.

Yep he headed towards the table with red, because that's what his robes showed now. Gryffindor, welp he could handle it. By the sounds of Alexa it was the best table to be at. Now where was Brynny had she went yet. He did the letters to her name in his head, but was it the first part or second, now he was confused. Weird abbreviated name. He'd just wait for his best friend to come over because of course she'd be in the same house.
Once at the table looked around. Now where did he sit. Well anywhere really it wasn't assigned seating was it? He didn't see any names so he just picked a place and sat down. Now where was the food and what did they do next. He bounced his leg up and down as he watched everyone. Nodding to a few, "Sup" This was going to get boring real quick so hopefully they wouldn't be sitting there long.
Glancing up at the staff table he decided he'd figure out who he was going to like and who he might give the levitating candy to...
