Christmas smiled at Lux and said "I am not sure what else i have got planned but i know that i have got permission to have a few friends up during the summer to spend some time with me cause i might not be able to travel anywhere cause of Quidditch"

Oh, that sounded like a lot of fun! "Ooh, are you going to have a party or something?" Parties were lots of fun, and Lux wondered if she should have one at some point over the summer. All she knew was that she would be seeing her friends and having a lot of fun.

Christmas smiled and said "Yeah i am having a party just call it my graduation party cause really i want to see my school years off with a bang"

Yes, a party! That was awesome, and Lux really thought it was a great idea to do that for Graduation. Beaming, she ate more food on her plate so that it would not get cold. That would be the worst thing ever!! "So who are you going to invite to your party?"

Christmas thought and said "To be honest i don't know Lux so i may leave that up to you to deal with the guests"

Cutty stopped at 46 frogs, placing the odd number 47 outside the others onto a pile of it's own. He looked up in time to see the wide-eyed expression Alexa Cambridge had about her and the collection of cauldron cakes she had amassed in the meanwhile. He took out a small sheet of parchment and wrote down the number 18 followed by a long ways swirled and crossed wirey shape signifying a sickle.

"Jawbreakers, yeah, I have some of those." And with that he reached the entirety of his arm into his bag and fished out two separate bouquets of baby-breaker lollies each with 7 smaller jawbreakers of variant colours about the size of teabags. He ran one of them under his nose as if smelling a fine cigar. "M'Dad sent me these last week and I was going to eat them myself to test their durability, booht I don't mind parting with them for one of my favourite patrons. They're multi-flavour too. I'm sure the flavour you seek is in there, possibly more than once."

She went on to describe her bag and Cutty stopped breathing. It may or may not have cost a fortune, but in his mind it was an 88 galleon bag of fine material, Italian make and he might have been moved to tears if he didn't bring himself out of this self-imposed over-stimulation with a stuttered breath or two. Gaa'aaa'asp! "So we have... was it 5 Sugarquills, 3 Cauldron Cakes, 24 Chocolate frogs, aaand." Breathe, Mordaunt, breathe. "Did you want to buy out all 5 of the Cadbury bars I've got left along with the 4 packs of Malteasers?" He had his quill at the ready.

Wait, what?

Lux was a little surprised when she heard Christmas say that to her. "Wait... you mean like I would be in charge of the guest list?" She was not totally sure if that was what she was being told or not.

Christmas smiled and said "Yeah course you would be in charge i would be too busy with training and stuff to get a guest list together"

Oh, well... Hmmm... Lux hadn't thought about that. "Well, I could do that. I just would need a list of all your friends." Besides Laura, she had no idea who Christmas' friends were, and she surely had lots of them since she has been at Hogwarts for so long.

Being in charge of guests could be pretty fun.

Christmas smiled and said "Sure i can get you that Lux you will get the list on the train home probably"

Awesome! It was set then. "Okay, great! This will be an amazing party." Beaming, she went back to eating her food. Gosh, this summer was going to be so much fun. She had plans to spend time with Bay, Lucas, Sander, Emmy, Cinnamon, Tessa, Donny, and Adeline! And of course she would be seeing other people as well, like her brother and sister.

Christmas smiled and said "Well that is good i am glad that i am leaving you to deal with the guests but heck even if a few people show to my party i will still be happy" Christmas missed Bay she hadn't seen him in ages she wondered where he had been

It wasn't very often she frequented the Hall for lunch, or was it brunch? who knew.. but either way, the comfort of her office quarters was too great to bother hobbling elsewhere. Today however, was the exception. Seren had willingly parted with her throw-rug and fluffy slippers so that she could make a green food run. Yes, she had green foods in the garden and greenhouses, but this was cooked and in many ways more convenient.

Dressed in slimming black robes, her grey hair in a strict bun, and her face smothered in a herb scented green paste, Seren stopped by the Gryffindor table, deciding the staff dais was too far out of her way. "What's to eat?" she asked absentmindedly as she straddled the bench, gingerly lifting her leg with the dodgey knee up and over until she was seated properly. And actually.. a better question was what else could she rub into her skin in an attempt to reverse her decrepitness?

Bay was making his way to the great hall.. he was super hungry and he wanted food now.. Quickly sitting down at the Gryffindor table he started to shovel food onto his plate while stuffing his face at the same time.. chicken leg in mouth his eyes were searching for his goblet of pumpkin juice but instead they landed up on Professor Bentley…. the chicken leg fell from his mouth as he tried to recover himself..

eating more like a human Bay really hoped she hadn't seen that…. "Cough.. Hi Professor Bentley" he said now taking a sip from his goblet.. ahhhh much better..

Why was she sitting at the students table?? didn't she have like a huge one up there on the dias?? he didn't mind of course but he hasn't seen a Professor sit with them, it was very different.

Smiling, Lux nodded as she thought of how she had never dealt with guests before. Hopefully she would not do a bad job with it. She would have to do invitations, right? "I'm sure loads of people will come." Christmas was bound to have tons of friends because she has been at Hogwarts for so long.

Christmas smiled at Lux and said "Well i hope your right there Lux because there are some people who i have not been in touch with for a while"

Christmas' comment made Lux raise her brow. "Like who? Anyone I know?" She did not mean to be nosy, she was merely curious. Hopefully Christmas wouldn't mind that she had asked.

Christmas smiled at Lux and said "I don't think there will be anybody you will be familiar with as some of them graduated a while back"

How many more chocolate frogs had Cutty taken from his bag? She didn't know, she wasn't paying attention, there were so many that she was caught in a sugary trance, unable to do much out of anything until finally he stopped loading the table and her senses once again returned to her. The Gryffindor reached over and pulled another 8 making her grand total 32 chocolate frogs.

...Those would do for now she supposed.

Oh my, those looked lovely. Lex gave the jawbreakers a twice over, trying to determine her level of satisfaction with them. That was how she shopped for most candy. The Gryffindor could usually tell if she'd be satisfied even before buying. "I don't suppose you've got bigger ones?" It was fine if he didn't, there were spells that could take care of them. The faintest hint of a smirk crossed her lips. "I like the favourite title, it encourages me to spend in order to keep it." Favourites got preference with new shipments, everyone knew that. "I'll have them as well, but you can keep one, savour it." As all candy was meant to be.

Wait what? Lex gave him a curious look before realizing her error as he added. "Only five?" She could have sworn she'd nicked more of those and sought to remedy that immediately by snatching a handful from the cup, from the looks of it, another 9. That seemed more reasonable. And what was all this rubbish about only four cauldron cakes? No no no. Lex pulled for another 6 of those as well. "I'll be having the cadbury bars and the malteasers as well so you have to add those."

Now then. "What's all this come to?--and I don't remember you suggesting jelly slugs or gummy worms. You don't have any?" Lex bit her lip after that question. One look at all the candy she amassed and she could see both Lottie and Cassia scowling at her....but those were all she would ask for...honest...............sorta.

"Oh, okay." Nodding again, Lux went back to eating her food while thinking about how she had no idea how to do this. Maybe she could get Willa to help her out. Willa was bound to be able to explain what she needed to do.

Food was a glorious thing, and as she considered her choices, Seren pushed her plate closer to one of the serving dishes and heaped on some mashed potato. You could never go wrong with mash. It was then that she saw the cruciferous vegetables. Excellent! Antioxidants! She'd been about to take up the serving spoon when Bay's familiar voice pulled her from thoughts of food.

Turning her green face to the Gryffindor, she flashed him a smile. "Got a cough there Bay? Have some vitamin C!" she mused, finally picking up the serving spoon and adding some to his plate, like the good motherHead of House that she was, all the while adding some to her own as well. "A simple cold at our age can be terribly troubling you know," she added, in case this wasn't clear. Picking off a warm broccoli from her plate, Seren started rubbing it up-side her neck while using her fork to pop another in her mouth. Something, would work.

Watching her put food on her plate should be a normal thing right… but nope to Bay this was completely weird… "errr thanks Professor" he said still with a shocked face.. ohh and she'd given him some mashed potatoes… huh… his lunch was turning very weird indeed.. he shrugged and decided to go with it… why not right… since now he had potatoes he would need gravy.. looking around he spotted it and it was right near Professor Bentleys left arm.. "could you please pass the gravy boat"

He placed some chicken in his mouth but it was a mistake he shouldn't of done that! she just started to rub broccoli on her neck.. WHAT THE……. "yeah colds are bad" he said while he eyeballed her.. should he ask.. or should he let that one go… yeah Bay wasn't going to ask.. some people have different things that they do and Bay did not want to know any more about that one..

"You're verryyy welcome, dear," she replied, moving the broccoli from her neck to her arm and rubbing some in there too. Antioxidants in the skin please! Between the rubbing of the vegetables, Seren helped herself to another bite or two, enjoying her tasty creamy mash and veg.

Her eyes perhaps lit up at the mention of gravy. Gravy was the worlds greatest condiment, did he know this too? Seren beamed, abandoning the rubbing in favour of this worthwhile cause. Gravy. "Of course," she replied, taking it up with two hands and passing it over. She could smell it, and it was making her salivate -- only, as an old lady, she hoped she wasn't a public drooler.

"Colds are indeed dreadful, and you know, I've been fighting a relentless battle against illness since this ... thing..." yes this thing, the aging thing, it was not conducive to good health.

Okay whats with all the broccoli rubbing.. he wasn't going to ask but now he just had to.. "errr Professor.. May I ask…" he said pointing to her arm… "why are you rubbing broccoli on yourself?" he didn't sound rude but more inquiring.. it was weird but becoming very interesting.. when he woke up this morning he didn't think he would be seeing a professor rubbing broccoli all over themselves…

"thank you.." he said as he poured it all over his whole plate.. he didn't care what it landed on, it made everything taste so much better.. placing the boat back on the table in-between them, just in case she wanted some he smile as he shovelled some more food in his mouth..

"I know how you feel Professor…" he hated being old, yeah they got to learn some useful spells and potions to help them look themselves but it just wasn't the same.. "do you know if they've made any progress…" he waved his hands around in the air.. "about this whole thing…" que sad face.. please.. please…. he had his fingers crossed…. no more aging please…..

There was a small smile at her commentary on the bestowed title of 'Favourite', but mostly Cutty's expression was blanking out as he comprehended his situation. His body began to react and he skooted a persons-width distance away from Lex, because it made him feel vulnerable. But then he used the empty table surface created from that distance to lay out still more sweets. "I don't. Still exploring Muggle candy, to be honest. But I could start stocking jawbreakers regularly if you'd like." Their title was interesting in it's implications, which Cutty imagined they'd deliver on. You know. It did what it said. Like wizarding candy. "It's alright, Lex. But, lemme know how you like 'em, so I'll know if I should bother getting more."

Cutty gave a small nod in response to her question. And, as he continued with the 'randoms' like chocolate dipped things and sweets that were neither tart nor sour, nor gummy, that could've been perhaps sorted by colour if he were Lex, his mother's large, black owl flew in and dropped a small sack with a scroll attached to it in front of Cutty, then departed very quickly as if desiring as little time with children as possible. Majnun was not the friendliest of owls and even after many years of ownership was still prone to biting. Cutty looked down at the bag and the scroll attached to the cinched neck. He knew what that was. Eid money. And it was doing nothing to help him calm his excitement when he needed to appear calm and professional for Lex. So he quickly shoved it into his bag and whilst he was in there pulled up a leather covered, latch-closed case. His thumbs hit the side and it flew open. "Who are these for? Friends? Family?" Cause Lex didn't buy non-chocolate. He recalled her thinking it something of a waste of time last year when he'd sold to her. So the jellyslugs 'n such, they had to be gifts for someone, right? Possibly a bunch of someones. He thought about the possibilities this opened if Lex Cambridge had started buying for her loved ones as he laid out the psychedelic paintbox spectrum that were the jelly slugs, bears, worms, fish and other gummies, acid pops and something very big indeed, a gummy snake the size of a rubber toy snake with a banded pattern, each band representing a different flavour.

He pushed the box toward her and invested in the parchment re-adding the totals trying not to break a sweat.
