| | |  Gobstones Match: Gryffindor vs. Slytherin
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had it's doors opened to the brisk, early autumn air and it's surfaces magically dusted by Professor Botros and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's first match.
The red and green marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Slytherin Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping. Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again because it's been updated. The thread is moderated so your answer won't show up until the sponsors allow it. Benjamin Atreyu and Zoe Tillstorm from Gryffindor and Slytherin were the representatives for their respective houses. They released the shooters after exchanging a meaningful look. The red stone rolled around and around only stopping a line away from the Jack Stone, the green one was right at its tail and stopped two lines further from the Jack Stone right behind the red stone.

Benjamin Atreyu held his position at the shooter for the Gryffindor team, one of the Slytherins stepped up and held their house's shooter as well. Both players released the stones onto the board. The green stone raced along with the red one, they both reached the closest line to the Jack Stone and settled it. Everyone's eyes were on the couple stones for a moment before the green stone rolled back a step and released a foul smelly gob.
Botros waved his hand in front of his face, "The points go to Gryffindor!" COUGH. Match Standings:

The green stone almost immediately got stuck on the first circle, while the red stone continued on and settled right next to the Jack Stone.

Anastasia walked off and handed over the green shooter to Zoe Tillstorm while Penelope stayed on for the reds. The two girl's released their shooters. The stone's sped off. The green shot off with the red trailing on it's heels. The red stone looked like it was waiting to make it's move when it suddenly without warning stopped and sprayed the red bench in smelly gob. The green stone could ease up next to the jack stone without effort.
