| | |  Gobstones Match: Gryffindor vs. Slytherin
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had it's doors opened to the brisk, early autumn air and it's surfaces magically dusted by Professor Botros and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's first match.
The red and green marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Slytherin Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping. Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again because it's been updated. The thread is moderated so your answer won't show up until the sponsors allow it. Benjamin Atreyu stepped up for Gryffindors with determination, Grace Paton stayed in her position for yet another turn. Both the boy and the girl exchanged a look and knocked the stones into the board. The green and red stones raced across it, the green one had trouble and got stuck for a while leaving the red stone to reach the Jack Stone first.
"The point goes to Gryffindor!" Botros announced with a smile.

Grace Paton stayed for Slytherin while Penelope Greenwell stepped up for Gryffindor. Both girls released the shooters with a slightly forceful push. The green and red stones rolled on the board with the same speed, the red stone bumping into the edges and getting sidetracked on more than one occasion which left the green stone free for a while and heading for the Jack Stone, earning the Slytherins this turn of the match.
"The points go to Slytherin."
Advisor's note: Both answers were correct, the points went to Slytherin because they answered first. Good job everyone!

Both players stayed in their positions, both were eyeing the stone with such determination, and the sixth year Gryffindor looked like she didn't want to take no for an answer. The stones were shot to the board at the same time, speeding across the board. Everyone watched the stones closely, eager as the red stone stopped right there next to the Jack Stone while the green stone was way off.
"The points go to Gryffindor!" Botros' voice suggested he was having fun himself.

After scoring twice for her team, Penelope Greenwell stayed yet for another turn. Beverly Wayne took Grace's place for this time, trying her luck. The stones were shot across the board, the green stone rolled around and around and stopped two lines away from the Jack Stone. The red stone rolled faster and didn't stop until it bumped the green stone away and took a closer place to the Jack Stone.

Penelope Greenwell stayed for Gryffindor, her Slytherin opponent gave a competitive you're-going-down look before both snet the stones flying on the board. The green stone rolled with significant speed before it stopped on the closest circle to the Jack Stone. The red stone rolled around, bumped slightly into the green stone and took its place.
"Gryffindor takes the points!" Botros said, surprised by how the points were tilting in Gryffindor's favor now.

Oichi Paulidine and Grace Paton, from Gryffindor and Slytherin respectively, took their positions on the top of the board. The stones were released and the crowds for both houses followed them with anticipation. The green stone rolled onto the surface with ease, stopping few circles away from the Jack Stone. The red stone was right at its tail, but it continued on until it was positioned closer to the Jack Stone earning them the points.
