The driver and snack lady sit waaaaaay up front in the driver's cab, but there are plenty of other compartments up here! Careful you don't sit in the Prefects' cab though. They bite.

Now since he could finally breathe properly, Gareth relaxed a bit and let out another sigh. "Merlin...it almost get me. Thanks for letting me in." Well...he had not actually asked for permission before rushing into the compartment but the boy did not kick him out and that was a good thing. To make sure he was safe, he looked out from the compartment door and searched the corridor floor with his eyes. The monster was nowhere to be seen. Good.

Cutting his sentence, Gareth looked back out the door and at that very moment, a cricket jumped on the glass on the door. Gareth let out a small scream upon seeing the bug very close to his nose. He ran to the other side of the compartment and curled into a ball on the floor. "There it is!!!! Protect yourself!!!"

"I've been wonderful, how about you?" The blonde grinned as she continued brushing Jellybean. "Oh this is a pygmy--" Mackenzie was in the middle of telling Bri all about Pygmy Puffs when another girl slid open the compartment door and sat down. "Hello Raven, I'm Mack" her tone was annoyed. She didn't like to be interrupted, especially so rudely. She hadn't seen this girl before so it was likely that she was a first or second year.
Mackenzie turned back to Bri "Jellybean is a Pygmy Puff, its a pet that we have here in the wizarding world. Want to hold her?" She offered the pet to her friend to hold.
"I have been great. I have been a bit nervous about going to Hogwarts, though I am more excited now."
Bri was startled when the door was open and a girl, who looked about her age if not a little older, came and sat down. " Oh Hello. I'm Bri."
She gave a small smile, before turning back to Mack, who was telling her about her fluffy pet. "A Pygmy Puff...It fits.. and Jellybean is an adorable name."
"Sure." Bri said happily as she gently took Jellybean. 'She was as soft as she looked'. Bri thought as she start to pet Jellybean.

"This is the most wonderful time of the year!" the young Pureblood, also muggle enthusiast sang, while marching down the corridor looking for and empty compartment to occupy.
Humming and now skipping, Silver eyed several compartments. Yet she still couldn't decide which she wanted?!
Hogwarts hadn't met anyone like Silver...yet.
Haruka was wandering around the front of the train, looking for somewhere to sit, when an older girl skipping by her. The girl had the same kind of curly hair as her neighbor back home that she was so jealous of. Getting even a light curl to her hair was a challenge, and she couldn't even dream of having curls like that! She didn't even notice that she was almost gawking.
"Durmstrang?" Lana repeated, beaming momentarily when the boy looked at her. "I've heard of that school. My brother went there. But he liked Hogwarts a lot more. Do you?" She had the theory that Hogwarts was the best school she'd heard of... but more opinions were welcome. Considering she only had one.
Ascanius. The eleven year old thought about that for a moment. "Ascanius," she said out loud. "That's a fun name. What's it mean? Does it mean anything? I've never heard it before."
She nodded when he said he was ready to go back. Everyone was, probably. As far as Lana could figure. She grinned again at his question. "Gryffindor," she answered immediately. "It's the only house I know about. But I'm pretty sure that's what I am." She nodded seriously. Her logic was great, if you asked her.
Yeah Durmstrang. He nodded. And it had been two very long years of his life, which were thankfully over and done with. The sort there was much edgier then anywhere else 'cause they were the Proud Sons and Daughters of Durmstrang. It was a load of crap.
Oh look, more questions. Yeah, she'd be a lion for sure. All the dizzying questions. "I like it better. The people here are better." Most of them. In fact, even the irritating people here had their positives. Ish. Okay, maybe not everyone.
"Doesn't mean a thing. Just a name." One he wouldn't have chosen for himself if he had any say in it, which he didn't.
Yeah, Gryffindor. He knew it. It fit her. She just screamed Gryffindor down to the littlest spazz movements on her.
So... going through a wall. Not as bad as he thought it would be. Of course, he didnt have a lot of time to gather his thoughts before taking it on. That probably helped. He couldn't imagine knowing about it for years and then having to do it.
Nope. This was way better.
Now he was on the train. He walked a few feet before going into one of the empty compartments. He put his trunk in it's place and took a seat. When was food time? He was hungry.
Kace was walking through a train where there was an empty compartment. The dude look like he could be in Kace's year. Why not give a friendly hello? He stepped into the compartment and smiled and waved. "Hi i am Kace. You new to Hogwarts?" he asked the guy.

Kace was leaving the compartment, he heard a familiar voice. He turned around and smiled. He knew that guy. It was Bart. He met him in Diagon Alley during the summer. He remembered it quite well. "Hey Bart! Oh nothing much just excited for the new year." he shrugged like it was no big deal. "Oh i do not know if anything is happening up here. I am not the one with the intel." he smiled.
"Oh the rest of my summer? Well i just went to sports camp to play soccer and american football. So i mostly stayed active while i went on a cruise with my mate's family for 7 days to the Bahamas. It was quite fun. It went by too fast." he said remembering the memories. Then he asked the dancing moments and he chuckled. "Well no dancing moments but i am down if you still wanna dance at Hogwarts."he offered his bud.
He mentioned Professor Airey. Kace smiled and agreed with Bart. "Yeah he is pretty cool. I like him as a teacher. He teaches you a lot. He teaches Astronomy and his name is Professor Airey. That is what he likes to be called."

Silver skipped and skipped when she suddenly stumbled on a younger girl. Smiling she looked around, this little girl seemed amazed or something?
"Hi!" Silver gleefully greeted the younger girl.
Maybe this girl had a compartment she could share with, Silvy?
"Are you looking for a compartment? I can't seem to find one I like." Silvy, nodded.
Silver wasn't shy at all, which is why it made her curious as to why the little girl seemed to be in awe?.

SPOILER!!: Kace
[QUOTE=Expecto-Penguin;11495139]Kace was exploring the front car till he found a seat and noticed a guy poking his head in. He looked up and saw a familiar face. He noticed him from Diagon Alley when he went with Belle. Kace smirked at his comment. "Yeah i did ditch the older girls. It is actually nice being on my own. Yeah of course you can sit here." he said patting down the seat.
Ah so this guys name was Sander. He made a mental note. "Hey Sander, i am Kace. Incase you needed a reminder." he joked with him with a chuckle. "How was your summer?" he asked him as a conversation starter.
Sander sat down...he would have either way...but he figured he'd let the younger boy feel that he had a say in the matter.
"Thanks." and then laughed when Kace introduced himself.
"Ah yes....love that pun by the way. I figured it was something like that but introductions were done so fast....you know how women talk...that most of it just flew over my head. Nice to meet you again." Sander grinned at the boy as he leaned back and stretched out his legs.
"My summer?" Sander hadn't expected the boy to ask him about that. His heart began to feel heavy with sadness.
"My Summer was actually great. I met this beautiful girl called Sydney. She was interning at the Bowling Alley in Diagon Alley. Unfortunately, she attends Beauxbatons and I don't think I'll see her again. I really liked her a lot and I was beginning to have strong feelings for her. I even wrote her a letter." Sander stopped and sighed.
When would his heart start to feel happy again?....he hoped that his time at school would help keep his mind occupied. He couldn't expect Callie to spend every minute of the day with him. She had her own life too...her own friends to make.
Sander smiled. He was glad Calisto was going to Hogwarts with her. She was the only reason that he was still able to smile.
But...enough of reminiscing about things that made him sad.
So he forced himself to smile and asked the boy the same question he had posed him.
"What about you, Kace? How was you summer? Meet any pretty girls?"
Haruka caught herself when the older girl greeted her. "Oh, hi!" She smiled slightly. "I'm looking for a compartment as well." She noticed that the girl seemed curious, then realized she was probably wondering about the staring. "Sorry," she rubbed the back of her neck. "It's just that your hair is so curly! I could never get mine like that."
Yeah Durmstrang. He nodded. And it had been two very long years of his life, which were thankfully over and done with. The sort there was much edgier then anywhere else 'cause they were the Proud Sons and Daughters of Durmstrang. It was a load of crap.

Yeah, Gryffindor. He knew it. It fit her. She just screamed Gryffindor down to the littlest spazz movements on her.
Lana nodded again. "Everyone I've met here has been nice. Well. Most everyone. But I think those might just be exceptions." Probably.
His name didn't mean anything. Sad. The eleven year old almost reached for Ascanius' arm again... but she had noticed his expression the first time and wouldn't do it again. Instead, she just nodded again. "My name doesn't mean anything either. 'Cept I was named after my mum. My middle name, actually. But that's all." But still, Ascanius was better than Lana. Hmph.
Finally her questions ran out for the time being. She sat back against the window and stretched out her legs. And looked at Ascanius.
Sander sat down...he would have either way...but he figured he'd let the younger boy feel that he had a say in the matter.
"Thanks." and then laughed when Kace introduced himself.

"What about you, Kace? How was you summer? Meet any pretty girls?"
Kace smirked at his comment on how women talk. "Yeah Belle and my mom talk pretty fast. I can't keep up with it sometimes." he admitted truthfully. Then Kace heard his story and that stinks. He met a girl but yet she lives too far away. He frowned and said, "Well hopefully you can meet here at Hogwarts..." he suggested.
Then he asked him about his summer. "Well i went to sports camp to play american football and soccer. So i stayed active. Then i went on a cruise with my mate's family for 7 days to the bahamas. I snorkeled, went scuba diving and rode with the dolphins." he smiled. He felt bad that he was sharing this was Sander. And about the girls part. "Umm well i did meet this one pretty girl but she wasn't comparable to someone i like here..." he grinned.
Silver smiles so big it was incredible how her jaw could withstand, this girl's luminous smile.
"I'm Silver Barry." She introduced herself. "Let's find one together?" Silvy suggested.
Her hair? The little girl liked her hair!
"Yup, Merlin blessed me with good hair." Silver giggled. She had her father to thank for her luscious curls. Good genes. Good hair.
What was this girl's name?
"Err- what's your name, little one?" Silvy smiled.
"Brilliant!" Silver beamed and began looking for a compartment.
This girl had a very unique name, Silver wasn't too familiar with.
"Pretty name!" She smiled "Where are you from?" She nicely asked.
"Maybe this one. Or this one. Or maybe even this one?" Silver though out-loud, pointing to the compartments they passed by.
"What year are you gonna be in?" Silver asked Haruka.
"All these compartments are so-...are sooooo meh!" Her nose wrinkled.
Looking straight ahead she spotted and empty compartment, squeezing the straps of her backpack she lightly jumped up and down!
"Bam!" Silver's face lit up as she pointed to the compartment. "That one! Let's go Haruka!" She enthusiastically rushed down the corridor.
Haruka blinked before following Silver to the compartment she'd chosen. The older girl was very cheerful and talkative.
Once at the compartment, Haruka was able to answer Silver's questions as she sat down. "I'm from Wales, but my family's Japanese." She smiled warmly. "I'm guessing that's what you meant."
"This is my first year," she said, answering Silver's other question. "What about you?"

Except that really old dead guy on that one show. But, he'd never met him.
He blinked a few more times as the guy was describing what almost caught him. How did something like that end up on the train?
...
...
...
"I don't see anything but a cricket." That was anticlimactic.

Hazel's attention was turned to a girl standing in front of her.
"Hi, Leah. I'm Hazel. I'm a Hufflepuff second year," she said. That was good enough for introductions. "Do you want to sit here?" After all, the more the merrier!
Adi grinned broadly at Hazel's greeting. So she did remember him. "I thought I might have run into you in Diagon Alley.'' Actually, he thought he would have met more of his friends there but he'd settle for blaming the immensely crowded place. "Summer was great!'' Adi made himself at home on the seat next to his friend. Just then the toad on his shoulder croaked. "Oops. He's telling me I need to introduce him. Hazel, this is Gus. Gus, Hazel.'' Was Hazel afraid of toads?
When he heard the new voice, the second year looked around at the other girl. "Hi!'' he said. Yep.; She could join them. Lots of room.
Haruka blinked before following Silver to the compartment she'd chosen. The older girl was very cheerful and talkative.

Silver settled in whilst listening to Haruka. Coooool! She loved learning and interacting with different cultures.
And she was a firstie! How cuuuute!
Now the question had been redirected back to her.
"I'm from New York, in America. Obviously. I'm also from Scandinavian ancestry on my momma's side and African-American on my daddy's side." She was extremely proud of Pureblood, ancestral roots. "I'm going to be a third year!" She added with so much excitement.
Oh. Hi there. "Mitchell." he replied in greeting. He gave a little wave back. "Yeah. I just moved here from New York." he said. "I'm guessing it's not your first time?"
Kace nodded. "Nice to meet you Mitchell." Oh he moved from New York? That was pretty cool. "That is pretty cool. I am actually from Kansas. But it is not my first time. This is my third year actually. But you will have an awesome time at Hogwarts." he assured his new friend.

....Oh so he liked a girl too...what's it about girls? Why do they make it hard for a guy to like them.
Then Sander thought about Calisto and smiled. She was one girl he would trust with his life. She was his best friend and she had helped him to come to terms with his summer fling.
....and where was his bestie. He hoped that she had gotten on the train like he had. He knew that she had been following behind him, but then they got separated in the crowd and he lost sight of her.
He made a mental note that when he made his way to the back of the train, to look for her in all of the compartments.
"So you like a girl in school huh? Does she like you back?" Sander asked with interest.

That is how he learned. He always wanted to catch up with her. He even learned a few tricks. "Maybe we should skate sometime?" he offered.
Kace smirked and nodded when he asked if he liked a girl in school. Then he thought about it. "Uhh...i actually don't know. I think she does? But you can never be too sure you know? Woman have complicated emotions and minds." he shrugged and chuckled.
