The trapdoor is open and once you climb up from the corridor below, you see that Professor Elwood is sitting at her desk ready to start the lesson. The classroom is much more normal looking than it was the last time you would have been in it and the windows were open to allow for the still somewhat comfortable breeze to fill the room.
Upon reading the board you will see that it tells you a few short instructions:
Quote:
1.) Please remember to have brought a book either at random or one of your favorites.
2.) Please be seated and wait for class to begin.
OOC: Be sure to read the class rules before posting here and keep chatter to a minimum. Thank you!

Ian finished his trek up to the divination classroom. It was kind of a fun adventure and walked into the classroom. He nodded to the professor and found a seat in the middle of the least obtrusive spot he could find and pulled out the book he had brought with him. He was pretty excited about it, though he may not be able to share many excerpts from it.
He began to read through it again and soon was chuckling and laughing almost to the point of tears, doing his best to keep the sounds to a minimum.
Ana was definitely more excited about Divination than she had been about Ancient Runes. While that was a subject she went to due to necessity Divination was a class she attended because she enjoyed it. She even wanted to sign up to SNAC. Having a Divination Club was pretty cool in her opinion. Having to climb through a trapdoor however was not. Nevertheless it was a smiling Ana that walked into the classroom, a book with a collection of her favourite Russian fairytales in tow. When told that they could bring whatever book they wanted to the lesson she just couldn't resist bringing a piece of home.
"Good morning Professor Elwood, I hope you had a good Summer," Anastasia said as she walked to a seat near the front of the classroom. Even though she'd never met the professor before she thought it only fitting to be polite and offer the, what was the word... Oh she couldn't think of it. Still it was only polite and being polite was what mattered here.
Eliza smiled at Professor Elwood as she entered the room, bag slung over her shoulder filled with books, quills, and papers. She wasn't really very stellar at Divination sometimes, but she always came prepared to try her best.
She sat down and folded her hands in her lap and waited for class to start. The breeze flowing through the room would help her pass the time until then. If she just closed her eyes for a moment, she could pretend she was outside.
Its an okay class. He liked Professor Elwood but he just not really fond with the location of the classroom. Its all the way up in the tower and not to mention that he need to climb through a trap door before he arrived in the Divination classroom. Why can't Divination classroom located near his common room where he didn't need battling a lot of stairs. Sigh.
"Hello, Professor. How are you?" He greeted the Professor as he walked to an empty seat in the second row. Oh. And book. Yeah. He did bring one. Gone Girl. A Muggle Author wrote that book and its a really random one. Messer didn't even know that he had that book in the first place. Well, he did know that he own that book but he didn't realize that he brought it with him to Hogwarts.

As Alex climbed up to the Divination classroom, she felt her joints popping and creaking. She always hated climbing up through the trap door, but today was worse than usual. Once she entered the classroom, she looked for a good seat. Happy to see that the room was not too full yet, Alex claimed a seat in the middle of the class. Before sitting down she said, "Hello Professor".
Alex took out the book she had brought with her and began to read. She decided to pass the time reading until the Professor was ready to begin the class.

Divination. This was not something that she was looking forward to, and she was not in a good mood anyways for some reason so this was not going to be a fun lesson. Once she walked the forever long way to the classroom, and looking at the trapdoor she was annoyed that she had to climb it again. Couldn't they move somewhere more suitable? Finally reaching the top Hannah immediately laid eyes on the professor and couldn't even make herself smile. Hello professor." Still no smile. "Do you think we could have class next time somewhere that didn't involve climbing up a trapdoor?" It was a legitimate question after all.
Hannah plopped herself down at her seat not as gracefully as usual. She pulled out the book that she randomly picked up on the way out of her common room. Head on her hand, Hannah waited for the lesson to begin. She couldn't help but to wonder what kind of rubbish they would be learning today.
Why Divination was still on his schedule, Benjamin wasn't sure. But it was. And rather than disregarding it, he was here. One thing was for certain - it wasn't down to having to bring a book; Benjy had just pulled one at random from the bookshelves in the Common Room before heading here, and he had shoved it in his bag without a second glance. More of a mystery to his future that way, right?
Appearing through the trap door, he slung his bag from his shoulders, and sat somewhere near the back. More anonymous that way, yep.

Ian glanced up as new student's heads appeared through the trap door. He didn't really recognize any of them (except he kind of remembered the slythie girl who rode the snake). He nodded to them if they passed or acknowledged his presence.

Ahh, good, fresh air. They needed fresh air up in this stuffy tower. He wasn't too thrilled to be in this class - considering what had happened last term and all. Still, that wasn't DIVINATION'S fault so he was trying to go in with an open mindset.
"Hello Professor!" he said with a smile to Elwood. She was nice, he liked her. He took a seat near the front and pulled out his notes, ready for class to start.

Sander finally reached the tower where Divination class was being conducted. He was feeling a little breathless. It had taken him longer to climb these stairs then he would normally would have. Maybe it was because he had skipped breakfast. He mental a note to himself not to do that again.
He noticed the Professor sitting at her desk and slowly approached her. "Hello Professor. My name is Aleksander Strand. I'm really looking forward to my first Divination Class here at Hogwarts." he told her with a smile.
Then he turned around and looked for a place to sit. He spotted somebody familiar and smiled. His name twin.

Divination!
Alec was VERY excited about this class, having gotten up earlier than usual in preparation. This was probably a good thing since he had to spend a little extra time grooming his face than he normally would have. Extra stubble. He was eighteen, after all. He absent-mindedly stroked his chin and jawline area as he walked along a familiar corridor towards the trapdoor. Did it feel okay? He... hoped so.
Readjusting his bag so that it was now hanging behind him, the boy ascended the ladder and headed into the classroom. Awesome. He glanced around the room, taking in the fact that it didn't look much different, before looking over at Elwood. "Hello Professor! Hope you had a great summer!" ... Should he ask about the state of the crystal balls from last year? Should he? Probably not. She got a grin from the seventh year, instead.
... Maybe he should just... go and sit down? Awesome idea.
Spotting Messy, the Head Boy headed over and sat down right near the boy. "Hey Messy!" he whispered, setting his bag down on the floor. His book of choice, a really old muggle one named Holes by Louis Sacher, was safely tucked away in his bag and it was going to stay there until... they were meant to bring it out.

Divination. Hmm. Although Astrid wasn't sure if it was a good idea attending a class she wasn't really good at, she didn't care and still went to the class anyway. For the sake of house points, participation, and getting to know the staff members of this school. Nothing else, except probably taking down notes for future references. So yeah. She entered the classroom and saw the professor. OOOOH. She was pretty! Good thing that the professor was a lady. It made everything seem better for her.
Ahem. Right. She should greet the Professor. Heh. "Good morning, Professor," Astrid greeted. "My name is Astrid Emerson and I'm new here." Introductions were necessary so she felt the need to say that tiny part. After greeting the Professor, Astrid went to take a seat somewhere and waited for the class to begin. Oh and... yeah, she brought everything she needed for the class. No big deal. Astrid wouldn't show up to a class unprepared anyway.

The fact that he was going to Divination did not even bother Adi as he slowly made his way to Divination. He was wondering why he was feeling so...weird. What happened to all his energy? Sheesh. He probably needed to eat more. But on second thought that wasn't the answer. He always had a healthy appetite and he had eaten an enormous breakfast. Hmph.
When he finally made it to the tower, he greeted Elwood. "Hello, Professor,'' he said politely. He liked her. It was the subject he disliked and was skeptical about. Passing students he knew, he nodded or grinned at them, finally settling down next to Hannah. "Hi,'' Adi greeted tentatively. It was their first meeting after the drama at the Lake.

Of course Lex had remembered her book before heading over to Divination. It was a bit difficult to forget that a Professor wanted you lugging one of those things around. This wasn't so bad for her because it let her carry her curse book to class but at the same time...reading...and there was that SNAC stuff she'd done too which now made her somewhat suspicious of this lesson. Where was the Professor going with this truth stuff?
Alexa headed up the trapdoor and into classroom, her book clutched in one hand and a half finished chocolate frog in the other. There would be no candy in class. She just had a feeling.
Before taking a seat she gave a quick look around. Let's see, Benjy...Eliza...Hair Boy, they all got a small wave from the Gryffindor before she headed to a seat that looked decent enough and plopped down in it. "Hello Professor." She would have offered her some of her candy too but see, if she wanted candy, she would have put some out on the desks. Clearly she was fine in that regard.

Finally, the class Gwen was most excited for! This was the class where she learned to see the future, right? She couldn't wait to get started. What would she learn? Would they be looking at their own futures, or the futures of the entire world? Gwen chose a seat fairly close to the front. She didn't want to miss anything, futures were not to be messed with.
As she set her bag down she looked up at the professor. Though Gwen didn't make a habit of introducing herself to the teachers, this one was her Head of House, and Gwen sort of vaguely knew who she was so she waved and smiled. "Hello." No weird introduction like the other kids did, just a simple acknowledgement of the fact that they had seen each other before.

Tessa slowly climbed the ladder. Since when was ladder climbing such hard work? She reached the top and did a small stretch, wondering if she had been practicing too much lately- to leave her so exhausted.
She made a mental note to look at her training schedule, than refocused on the room. Seeing a few familiar faces, she immediately walked over, smiling at Sander and Alex.
"Hello there, may I join you?" she asked, indicating the chair next to Sander.

Wondering what was taking the professor so long to get on with it was not making Hannah's attitude any better. How long had she been waiting anyways? Did people own a watch anymore? Her time was precious. Come onnnnn.
Looking up as footsteps approached close to where she was sitting, she noticed that Adi sat down beside her. They were... well what were they now anyways? Friends sounded weird and they didn't hate each other anymore so there was that. Trying her best not to take out her foul mood on him Hannah gave him a nod. "Hey Adi." She wondered how he felt about Divination.

Oh, GOOD, he wasn't late.
Theo rushed into the Divination classroom and took his regular place near the back of the room. "Hi, professor." He said through a shortened breath, then proceeded to pull out all his things for writing as well as his 'favourite' book.
Theo hated reading so it was a very hard decision.

Divination, not one of Nigel's strongest subjects. But he like Elwood, so here he was. It was a good thing the windows were open and there was so actually air blowing through here. It was nice. The Prefect looked at the board first and forgot about bring the book. But it did not matter since he usually brings is book on phobias everywhere. Just to read when bored. So he did have a random book.
"Hello, Professor Elwood"
Now to sit. Though he should not sit behind Alec. He would be too distracted by the hair.

Divination. It was one of the classes Jun never looked forward to. But still attended either way. It was mainly because Elwood would come find him later or drag him by the ear to attend her class. Who knows, maybe she'd even do it. Anyway. Making his way to the classroom, Jun held his favorite book in his hand an walked inside. The breeze hit him as he contined walking over to a desk. Oh, greetings. He forgot greetings. "Hello, professor. Hope your day is good so far," he gave her a small smile before sitting down. And quiet hopes this class would go by quickly.

Once settled, she reached into her bag to pull out one of the books she had actually read: Quidditch Through the Ages. It wasn't one of her favorites, but still very important to her and her training back in the day. "Are you both ready for this class?" she asked as she put the book on the table.
