"I bet you felt amazing when she admitted it." And oh? "Florence is lovely." She added with a bit of a knowing grin. "All of Italy is lovely, if you ask me. But I am most definitely 100% biased about it." Absolutely. No guesses. Cat turned a cat cookie around between her fingers and glanced at Schuyler. "You mean, our first date or when he asked me to be his girlfriend?" Because those were two rather different things, after all. |
Quote:
Of course Cat would think Florence/Italy was lovely. And it was, yes! But yeah. She was Italian. "You are biased, but you're right." She flashed a little grin. And although the other cities they had gone to had been interesting and amazing as well, Florence held more of a special place in her heart for obvious reasons. "When he asked you to be his girlfriend," she clarified and tilted her head as she looked at the other girl. |
Quote:
"Oh. Well." Cat was grinning again and it was a super big change from her demeanor earlier when she'd arrived at the courtyard in the first place. "Well. We had a date. He picked me up at the common room and took me to the lake where he had a blanket tent set up with pretty lights and there was food and it was lovely." Grinny grin grins were still happening here. "And he asked me to be his girlfriend, he'd memorized it in Italian." And it was adorably perfect but Cat was trying very hard not to be an annoying girl and gush too much about her boyfriend, even if he was just so super gush-worthy. |

Schuyler nodded her head a few times. Yes, happy was where she wanted to stay. But she wouldn't get into that too much because she was kind of superstitious and didn't want to jinx it. Olly did have the potential to cause some serious damage to her. Then again, so did she. As for the Florence question.. "Olly and I traveled some of Europe over the summer with my brother and his friend. Just for fun, you know." Which made it a packed summer, what with that road trip as well. A memorable one, too. She mirrored Cat's grin and faced her a little more because she loved hearing these kinds of stories. She was all ears, yes. And ugh, Mo. How perfect was that? Twinkle lights even. "That is so cute!" And for a second she felt as if Mo and Cat and only just gotten together as well. "Him asking you in Italian is the best part." In her opinion, of course. It was precious and he took the time to learn it and UGH. Cute. "Mo's so thoughtful." She took another cookie and broke it in half. Sorry, cat. "Olly and I still have yet to go on a proper date." Like, as a couple. But at the same time, everything felt so natural with her that she hardly noticed this fact. It felt like they were always kind of on dates just without calling them that. |

"You're beautiful," he smiled at her. "I mean...it's beautiful. The snow. And you. The snow falling. Your hair. INTO your hair. The air." Shutting up and continuing to walk now. Yes. Leaning forward entirely on his cane now, back hunched ever so slightly, he grinned at her. "Froooooooooooosty the snowmaaaaaaaan...was a jolly happy sooooooooul," he hummed as he moved a little closer to her. "I'm game. I haven't built one since I was a boy." Like he could have said no to that smile anyway. |

She shook her head at Marigold's offer. "Oh, I have one. It's just that I've forgotten." Crud. "Thanks, though." Not anyone would just offer their owl to someone else, yeah? Well, she wouldn't unless she trusted the person she was sharing her owl with. That and Mori would probably bite the strangers fingers off. "Yeah, I think...I read your name in that gossip paper." What was the name of it? She didn't remember. "The one with Puffanova?" Ring a bell? 'Cause it did for her. Pfft. As if SHE would be into a Hufflepuff like that. She was still yet to have a crush on a boy. Seth didn't count since he was so far away and...well, she only really liked his hair. Seth had nice hair. |
Quote:
Marigold listened and then immediately fell over. THAT GOSSIP. GAH. Marigold straightened back up and shook her head vehemently. "Oh. Umm, that stuff isn't true. Plus, they spelled my name wrong. So yeah." SO WRONG. |

Chuckling softly, she let go of his arm, seeing as he had that handy cane with him and they weren't walking anymore. "Really?" Not a single snowman since he was a boy? That was...quite a surprise actually. Though the endless number of fun activities she did in the snow as a child started to pop up in her thoughts like daisies."Vot about snow angels? Or forts? Ice bubbles?" |
Quote:
He shivered just a bit when she let go of his arm - it was terribly cold out here - and wiggled his toes inside his shoes. "Really," he nodded. "Would you judge me if I told you I've actually never mad a snow angel?" He was slightly joking when he asked, but just a tad serious. He didn't even know what snow bubbles were either. Snow forts though, he had built those. "I am well versed in building snow forts, however, they are perfect for snowball fights. |

As the girl approached Blair noticed she must be a few years above her. She smiled and replied, "Hey! You alright, are you looking for something?" |
Quote:
Oh. Woah! Okay. Not gymnastics. Maybe dance. "I figured," Beverly said, wrinkling her nose. "It said Kace was flirting with me. I don't let boys flirt with me." As if she could control that, but Beverly liked to think so. Oh yeah, that gossip paper had issues with spelling out names. "They misspelled my friend's name too." In which ALL THREE of them were featured. EMBARRASSING. |
Quote:
"I am actually," she said with a soft laugh. "I promise, I'm not insane- no matter how that just looked. I was hoping to find a secret passage- a castle this old must be riddled with them," she said, sitting down beside the girl with a sigh. "I'm Tessa by the way, newly transferred here," she added, as an explanation for some of her strange behavior. |
Quote:
"You know vot?" Did he know? Her eyes narrowed in a playful manner as an eyebrow raised. "Ve're going to do every one one of those today." The snowman, snow angels, forts, ice bubbles...and the snowball fight. All of them. No matter how slow they'd be at it. She'd rather not have Airey even more uncomfortable than he already was... but not a single snow angel? There was a first time for everything! And today was going to be the day. |
Quote:
"Challenge accepted!" he said while giving her a thumbs up with one hand. Probably should save the snowball fight and fort for last, yeah? End with a BANG - a bang that hopefully was not his back going out again. "So, what do you want to start with? You are entirely in control of this date." Heh, date. He could get used to saying that word he supposed. "Although, I have to warn you, I may not be able to get back up without you levitating me when we do snow angels." But he trusted her spellwork and her in general, most days anyway. Heh. |
Quote:
"Let's start vith the snow angels first." |
Quote:
Snow angels. Right...so...he needed to get down for that. Planting his cane in the snow and jiggling it around a bit to make sure it wouldn't slip and cause him to faceplant in the snow. He really didn't want to uncoil their arms, if he was honest. So much warmer like this...among other things. "So...down...right?" he asked while pointing to the snow. |
Quote:
Ooooooooooh that was cold cold cold. Join the shivering fun, Flamsteed! |
Quote:
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRR this was cold. "S-S-So....now w-w-w-what?" he asked as he turned his head to look at her. "J-J-J-Jumping jacks while lying d-d-d-d-down, yeah?" |
Quote:
NEVERTHELESS, snow without the cold wasn't in the winter fun contract. "Y-y-y-y-u..." Ssshhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiver!Shudder! Woah. "Yup." And on that ending note, she scooted over a little for room and slowly, ever so slowly, laid down upon the snow. Ooh, hello fluffy ice flake clumps scooting down the neck of her jacket. You aren't welcome, hmkay? Moving her arms and legs in unison, she moved her head to glance to the Astronomy professor. "How you doin'?" |
Quote:
Slowly he began to move his arms up and down, stopping when his arms were entirely straight and pressing against his ears and moving them back down to his sides as his legs soon followed...only those couldn't move very far horizontally because of the twinge he felt in his back. "Er...I think it's going alright..." he replied with one last movement. There was now a small 'mountain range' of snow in a straight line right above his head. "You know, back in 2011 astronomers found a bipolar star-forming region that bore such a striking resemblance to this practice they they dubbed it the Celestial Snow Angel." |
Quote:
Medea stopped her limbs, laying still momentarily before she pushed herself up on her elbows. What what? "There's a snow angel...made of stars?" |

Especially since the way he had just described it really did it no justice. |
Emma was really enjoying the cold winter afternoon. Walking around the courtyard with both gloved hands in her pockets. It sure was beautiful though. Nothing could beat the Hogwarts grounds in the winter. Everything was just so pretty and shiny in the light blanket of frost. Finally, she had found a spot! Emma smiled to herself as she began making a beeline for the unoccupied bench, too excited to notice all of the ice that was in her immediate path. WHOOOOOOSH! O_____o The air was knocked out of her as she landed flat on her back, books and parchment flying into the air. "Ugggghhhhh!" She grumbled to herself. That was totally gonna bruise. |
Quote:
It was a relief to see that she was correct, and in fact there were only a few other people out and about this area of the school. One being a girl who slipped while making her way to a bench. Ouch, that has to hurt. Wincing in sympathy, Lux approached her. "Are you okay?" Offering her hand out to help her up. |
Quote:
She winced again, moving slowly over to the area where her books and tea had fallen. "I'm Emily, by the way. But most people call me Emma. I think I've seen you in class before? You're a puffer... right?" Hopefully the girl wouldn't be offended by that statement. She seemed really nice. |
