Bro!hugs were AWESOME and welcomed, did Asher know? If not... he was going to make it known by hugging the boy right back. A little squeeze was given because... this was a proper hug and not the one armed ones. "Anytime!" he said, patting the boy on his back and letting go, "You sure? You might end up getting sick of it." Because Alec would end up saying it that many times. GRIN. So they both couldn't sleep. That... was weird. "Sorry you couldn't sleep, mate," he said, right before letting out another big yawn. What was happening to him?! "Yeah? That makes me feel special, mate," Shoulder!push and all. Grinning again, he pushed the Slytherin's shoulder gently in return. |

Asher shook his head, "No, bro. I could never get sick of you or the things you do." Never. It was true. They were bro's for life. Bro's before..... Anything. He was so happy to be back that Alec may end up with another bro!hug. He shrugged. "Nah don't be. Sorry you didn't sleep either. I'll just go to bed earlier tonight." Hopefully. Or maybe he'd sleep in... some in the morning. He grinned. "You are special. Bro. You're my bro, always." And joggling buddy. Right? "You can come today if you want to?" Or whenever else you would to. Early morning or not. |

AH. Okay. Year and house. Marigold could do that, though she had never really interacted with Slytherins much. "Nice to meet you Beverly. I'm a third year too, in Hufflepuff." More waiting yes? |

Adeline smiled and look towards the other students, she was curious as to what they were doing and what they were talking about. There were a lot of nice people here but there were some mean people to and she wasn't talking about the Slytherin's, she had nothing against Slytherin's seeing as she's been dating one since her third year. Adeline had noticed the vast number of transfers, she had never seen so many or maybe she just didn't pay them any attention before. "I've never see so many transfers before." she looked back to Lux, she knew the girl would have fun, she would have to because it would end so quickly. Addie shook her head. "No, I haven't been there yet, I might stop by on my way back to the common room." She smiled, that sounded like a good idea. |
Quote:
"I thought that there were always a lot of transfers here, since I have met so many." Almost everyone she had met so far had been transferred from somewhere else; Adeline was one of the exceptions. "Oh, I met a knight there and he talked to me for a bit before he had to stop. Then this boy named Asher told me more stuff about the knight. It was a lot of fun." |
Quote:
Adeline grinned, her chocolate brown eyes glanced back up at the other students socializing, it was nice to be back, she wondered what it was like to be a transfer, she may have been gone for a few terms but she was no transfer, she was just homeschooled. Adeline hated being homeschooled, it was boring and there was no one her age to talk to. |

Instead of focusing on that, Bev lowered her gaze on Marigold's parchment. "Were you going to draw or write a letter?" she asked curiously. Why else would someone carry parchment with them? |
Quote:
Night in shining armour? Lux actually gagged at that comment. Gagged. "He looks like a boy." Boys were just boys. None of them were attractive, and she was never going to kiss one. If a boy tried to kiss her, she would sock him right in the face. "Yes, that's him... have you like... kissed him or something?" O_O |
Charrie!Donny Fresh air. Or so called fresh air. It was more like cold, fresh air. Which he liked because that meant bye bye summer. And hello cold weather and soon his birthday. Jun was just sitting in the courtyard, writing in his journal. A lot had happened since the beginning of this term and he hadn't really write anything down. Jotting down anything he could remember, the dark haired boy blocked out all the chatter that was going on around him. Company wouldn't be a bad thing. Still, it'll add on to the chatter. |
Nice, spacious, green courtyard. This was nice. What better place than this to hang out with Cat? No better place. Well, not at the moment. Hanging out on beaches and in that muggle vehicle were alllll good fun, but they didn't really have access to those things/places. So the courtyard it was. Schuyler made her way down from the Gryffindor common room, her iPod attached to mini speakers in one hand and then a container in the other. But she set them both on the ground so that she could adjust her hat. Swiiiiiiitch. Backwards wasn't cutting it. Nor forwards. Needed to be sideways. |
Quote:
She did smile when she spotted the Gryffindor and the girl's outfit. "Hey Schuyler." She reached up with her good hand and adjusted her hat too, the one Schuyler had given her, so it was also sideways. "I mean. 'SUP, yo?" See? There was a grin. |
Quote:
Schuyler heard her name and turned. Of course there was Cat, but along with her was that sling thing over her arm. That looked like no fun. But she probably got some sympathy balloons and all that good stuff because of it, right? 'S'up yo' was pretty gangster indeed. "Keepin' it reeeaaal." Schuyler kind of felt like she should have done some sort of gesture along with this, so she added in a dramatic arm-folding. Only to drop her hands back to her sides a moment later. "The invalid herself." The Gryffindor nodded towards the sling and then lifted her eyes to her friend's again. Yeah, Cat seemed a little out of sorts. Not her usual self. But Schuyler DID realize ahead of time that injuries sucked and that that sling probably got annoying and itchy sometimes, and so that's why the newly sixteen-year-old had this container on the ground here. She bent down and picked it up before cracking it open with a grin. "These are for you." They were cookies. With little cat faces drawn on in icing on them. "They're supposed to be cats, but they are deaf because they don't have ears." Ears on cookies were a little beyond Schuyler's very limited baking abilities. But gosh, it was about time Cat got some food made for HER. |
Quote:
Except when Schuyler showed her what was inside the container she had, Cat did get her real smile back. For a moment anyway because she tried to hug Schuyler and squeaked in pain because her arm said NO. "I really need to stop doing that." Cat made a face, but her countenance was much improved. "They're so cute, though! I almost feel like no one should ever eat them." Poor deaf cats. She picked one up and grinned at it. "I also sort of want to name them all." Cookies were for eating though, and Schuyler had made them for her, so Cat put the cat in her mouth. "Mmm'soood." |

Oh, she was getting a hug! Well, for a second or two. Because poor, injured Cat seemed to forget that she had a hurt arm, and hurt arms and tight hugs didn't really go together like PB&J. More like peanut butter and...... what? Hot sauce. Something bad. Because Schuyler frowned as she pulled back. Really, this arm thing was a big problem - Cat was supposed to be happy and cheery like NORMAL. Sad Cat was sad. But she did like the cookies, at least. "We can name them punny things, yeah?" Schuyler grinned. She picked one out of the container and examined it. "This one can be Meowthoven." Actually, coming up with clever names for all of them would be time-consuming. How did you even make a deaf cat pun out of Helen Keller? She flashed a grin when her friend said they were GOOD. Because that is what she said, right? "Yeah?! Good. I've been practicing a little." A very little. As in a few times over the summer. But seeing as she was already holding Meowthoven, she might as well eat him. So she did. Mmmmmm. "So, how long are you supposed to have that sling on?" |
Quote:
... NO. WAY. "REALLY?!" ... Was that too loud? Alec wan't fussed because... this news! "Mate! That's BRILLIANT! Congrats! I... I'm really proud of you!" Could he tell from the expression on the Hufflepuff's face? Because there was LOTS of grinning going on. Asher was being sweet, did he know? "Don't let Adeline hear you say that. She might get jealous." Some more grinning was going on -- was he doing too much of that? It was all Asher's fault. And speaking of the boy, Asher knew he was joking, right? "No need to apologise," he said, shaking his head, "Won't... you be up earlier if you did that?" Then the boy would be jogging around in the dark. It was a vicious cycle. "And you're mine. Don't... let anyone tell you otherwise, yeah?" GRIN. ... Wait... "Come where?" Confused Summers was confused. ... And sleepy. Still pretty sleepy. |

Outside aaaair and excitement would help. Yep. He skipped outside, Bump safely tucked into his pocket and eventually ended up in the courtyard. ..which wasn't very exciting, it turned out. Donnacha looked around and spotted an older boy sitting by himself. He probably needed some company, and Donnacha had gone way too long without talking. 'Hi!' Introductions! 'I'm Donnacha! Donny! Donnacha Harper. Dolphin boy. Captain Crrrraaaabs!' That just about covered it. |
Quote:
"I'm Jun. Jun Kim. Juni. Tie-dye," Please don't ask about the last one. It just stuck after his family wouldn't stop calling him that. "Nice to meet you, Captain Crabs!" Mhm, Jun liked that one that most. |
Quote:
BOUNCE. "Oh. Yeah." The parchment. Riiiight. "Write a letter. To check in on my parents, you know." More bouncing. |
Quote:
'There's always room for more!' Donny grinned up at him. 'Nice ...art!' Tie-dye? Weirdest name he'd ever heard. 'Do you like... tie and dye? Or something?' He inspected Tie-dye's clothing, nope, nope, no tie-dye. Odd. 'Nice to meet you too, Tie-dye!' SUCCESS. His superhero name, given to him by OLIVER GREENWOOD, was catching on, huh? 'Wanna know how I gots that name? It's an essiting story.' All of his stories were exciting, of course, but this one even more. |

"You and I could make something some time, if you want." Not any time soon though because she refused to cook with magic and she couldn't do most things with one arm. Speaking of, she cast a disdainful look at the stupid sling. "A couple of weeks, long enough that I totally missed Quidditch try-outs." So now she couldn't play all term and that really sucked. "Apparently elbows aren't an easy magic fix." Who knew? She didn't. |
Quote:
The Gryffindor smiled over at her friend. "I'd love that!" Because Cat the cook was a good cook. And cooking was more fun with other people, so it wouldn't really seem like practice. But yeah, this kitchen escapade wouldn't be taking place any time too soon. Not with that sling on Cat's arm. Boo. "Sorry about quidditch." That probably sucked the most, so better not to dwell on that part. She didn't want to make the blonde any more bummed than she already was. And it was her ELBOW? Oww. Like, oww. Joints just seemed worse when it came to matters of breaking bones. She walked over and took a seat beside Cat on the bench. ".....I do have good news, you know." But seeing as cookies and gangster apparel and rap music weren't doing the job, she was debating about whether to tell the Slytherin at a different time. Maybe when she was more like normal Cat. Okay, yeah no. Schuyler probably wouldn't do that because that was too long to wait. Good news needed to be shared. |
Lex was trying to remember the last time she'd gone by the fountain in the courtyard. Sure there were plenty of times that she walked by it, the courtyard being a regular route for her but actually sitting by the fountain. When she thought about it, it might have been her first year. Yeah, that conversation with Cassia. Neither of them would have thought back then that things would be how they were now. The Gryffindor marched over to the fountain, deciding to remedy that as soon as possible, which happened to be now, before homework got in the way or some kind of duty she wasn't aware she had. The girl plopped on the side of the water and watched the water for a minute. It was getting to be cold. Soon it'd be near impossible to stick her feet in. It made her contemplate doing so but she didn't, no, just fountain watching for now. |
Quote:
Deciding that it was in fact far too early to be revising, the Slytherin headed outside for a welcome waft of fresh air. The courtyard wasn't particularly busy and he scanned his eyes across its breadth, looking for a friend or at least a familiar face. To his surprise, he did eventually manage to find one and he headed over towards her. "Boo" he chuckled sitting next to her on the fountains edge. "Are you finding the water particularly fascinating?" he raised his brow as he glanced down at the lifeless pool and back up to Lex. Yeah, there really wasn't much going on down there, nothing that caught the boys attention anyway. |
