For anyone. Professor Elwood needed some fresh air. She had opened the window in her office but she sort of wanted to go on a walk around the Grounds. Once the woman had made it down all the stairs though taking a seat on a bench in the Courtyard with the sunlight shining on it sounded really nice. She twisted her silver bangles as she looked up at the sky and closed her eyes for some deep breathing. |
Tag made me jump on this >_< Quote:
Looking around some more Tag was about to leave when he saw a blonde. Another nice to look at blonde. Cause blondes do it best. Tag walked up to the young lady and whoops. She wasn't too young but not too old. "Hello Professor!" Tag greeted Elwood in a chippy voice. |
Tag, yay! Quote:
The sun felt wonderful on her pale face and she could feel it warming it and her hair. She'd have to make a trip down to the Lake too before it got to cold. Elwood was completely zoned out for a good five minutes until she felt the precense of another person. She continued to look at the sky with her head tilted back until he, for the voice was male, addressed her. The voice was one she could place rather easily. "Ah, Tag it's nice to see you." She said as moved her face down in order to look at him. STARE more like. The Divination Professor's grey-blue eyes looked into the Gryffindor boy's without blinking. Would he blink? She was curious. |
Quote:
What was she doing? Oh gosh. What was she doing? Tag furrowed his eyebrows a bit, trying to understand why she was looking at him like that? Was she reading into his soul? The boy didn't blink back. One of those eye contests right? He merely looked at her. But after a white he forced himself to try and keep his eyelids up whenever he felt them dropping. |
Quote:
Oh, and challenge accepted? Brave this Gryffindor! Elwood squinted her eyes a bit but didn't close them, she was focused. She continued to stare. |

Bev blinked rapidly and turned toward the source of the voice. Just a few days ago she had heard those same words and then got him in the face with a beanie with ears. In front of a boy no less. This time, she sank toward the pillar she was leaning on. Wait. Where did her quill go? It was right here Searching for said quill, Bev noticed a parchment fluttering in front of her. Oh. That's probably the thing the girl asked her to catch. Oh. OH. Okay. Beverly plucked it out of the breeze and dust it off in case it got any Autumn-y residue on it. "This yours?" OBVIOUSLY. She just didn't know what to say. What? |
Tag and ELWOOD. Sophie was so, so, SO GLAD TO BE BACK. The weather was beautiful and the grounds were calling for her first run of the term. It wasn't a typical morning run with Mo like she found great joy in, but she needed to get out there and just go. So there she was, dressed in a dark pink lightweight jacket, black running pants, and a pair of bright pink sneakers. Far more prepared for regular runs than she was last term. She entered the courtyard, stretching an arm across her chest, then the other as she walked toward the pathway that would lead to the lake. The Ravenclaw was aware of her surroundings, though, and noticed her Head of House and the funny guy, Tag, who named her Pygmy Puff for her up ahead. But they were... just... intensely staring at each other. It was kind of weird. She stopped walking, watching them curiously for a moment before deciding that they must've been having a staring contest of some sort. That was cute. But... Sophie couldn't resist intervening. A smile dancing upon her lips, she began walking again, heading toward the two - then, just as she passed them, she gave Tag a poke to the side, not minding if she might've been cheating a little bit to help the professor win. "Y'can't beat Professor Elwood. She's a girl and a Ravenclaw which means she's a double threat and you're going to lose." Just so he knew. |
Concentrate concentrate concentrate. Tag thought he was doing all right. Keeping his eyes opened and everything. Yeah, he definitely had this in the bag. This would be his win with Elwood. Hey! What was that?! The blonde squirmed a little, which, of course, resulted in him blinking.... But it was Sophie. That one girl Tag had to help in Weasley's that one summer. He hadn't talked to her in a while, but he remember how much she spoke and yeah, she wasn't easy to forget. The boy did give her a small smile at her words. "Right. Ravenclaw, girls, very smart. Professor, you're very smart. Cause yeah.. Smart. Just like Sophie said." Cue the smile. "That's what makes you ladies smart." Nod nod. How quick would it take for Tag to get confused in front of TWO Ravenclaws and they were girls too. Let's just see where this goes! "You made me lose, though, Sophie. But next time, Elwood. I will win next time." He added pointing at both the Ravenclaw girls. |
Sophie and Tag <33 Callie's eyes had moved slightly to the left just enough to notice Sophie approach them from behind Tag. She of course didn't say anything. It wasn't necessary, besides she couldn't break her concentration too much or she may blink. "Haha!" She laughed out loud and clapped her hands at both her win and at the little Ravenclaw's act of loyalty to both her House and gender, even if it meant cheating just a tiny bit. "She is correct you know Mr. Kildare. And it seems like you're catching on nicely as well." She continued to laugh and as she held out her hand to receive a high five to Miss Brown. "You can try to beat me one day Tag. You may have some chance if there aren't any little second years sneaking around." He had done well before the girl had arrived at least. He should be proud of that. |
Tag was a strange fellow, wasn't he? Sophie folded her arms and smirked all throughout his ramblings of them being 'smart' and raised a hand to return Elwood's high five. "Glad you know it. And you are smart for knowing so." Totally smug. "I didn't make you lose - you would've lost anyway, bud," she grinned at the Gryffindor, her tone teasing. "I was helping you by giving you an excuse. At least this way you can blame the loss on me. So really, you should be thanking me for saving your pride. You're welcome." Her playful grin had softened and she gave him a nudge to further convey that she was just teasing, not being mean. He was laid back enough to put up with a second year picking on him without getting all grumpy, yeah? "I'll try to stay out of your future rematch, if it'll make you feel better." No promises, though. Heh. |
For Bre Deciding that she wanted to have some time alone instead of exploring, eating, or hanging out with friends, Lux made her way over to the courtyard. In her bag was her copy of the Tales of Beedle the Bard, which she had enjoyed since she was a little kid. Looking around her, she saw that there were not too many people here, and finding an empty bench, she took a seat. It was a nice day outside, and taking her book out of her bag, she opened it and started to read. |

Adeline wanted to read her book but she didn't want to be in the library, she wanted to be outside and as fun as being down at the lake to read sounded she just didn't want to walk all the way down there, the seventh year wanted some place better of course. |

SPOILER!!: Elwood SPOILER!!: Sophie! Tag shook his head at Elwood simply laughing at him. Him. Her student. How could she? His feelings were hurt! Only, not really, it was all game and fun. Nothing serious. Yeah, yeah, he was catching on, but rather slowly yeah? He still took the compliment from his Professor. "Thanks!" To the catching on and everything. Tag smiled at Professor Elwood and the little mischevious Ravenclaw girl. "Or perhaps a particular second year Ravenclaw girl." Looks at you Miss Sophie. But it wasn't a hard one, seeing as Tag was still smiling. "One day Professor." Perhaps this should be done in her office, where no one could interrupt them and make Tag lose. He was determined. These Ravenclaw girls really sure liked to stick to each other, didn't they? Tag was watching this. They seemed to have some secret alliance with each other or something. Sophie talked a lot. Did she know that? She must know that. Wasn't she out of breath by the time she finished her talk? Was it a talk? Maybe it was one of those Ravenclaw speeches that was meant to confuse him or something. Then she nudged him, which pulled Tag out of his daze, of trying to hear the words she'd said. "Thank you for saving my pride on when I would've lost?" He responded in a questioning tone. That's what Sophie had been going for, right? "Thank you. I'd appreciate that." Another smile for you Sophie. Shrugging the boy then casually sat down on the bench next to Elwood. "You girls can have your own contest. Anything at all. I'll be the judge." They could all have fun. Just as long as it wasn't like too educational or anything. Nod. |

But it did have its positives because of the team and his friends and- Ugh. Deciding was going to be hard. The sign ups were up and Ascanius was avoiding them like the plague. "I played Chaser the past two terms." And being thrown in as first string Chaser with the likes of West and Theo was nothing short of terrifying. Even though Theo had done his rounds last terms as Keeper, they just moved in sync together. Ascanius was lucky if he could move at all mid-air. |

"I'm Marigold." Uhm, RANDOM. She fidgeted and finally reached for her parchment, thanking the other girl. She straightened it out and folded it in half before placing it in her pocket. No more flying around little paper. She was awkward wasn't she? |
Gwen tossed the soccer ball onto the ground and kicked it halfheartedly. She loved soccer, but it was no fun without her twin. She kicked it lightly toward a bench, pretending that the bench was the goal. Dribbling the ball across the stone ground she kicked once, hard, and sent it soaring over the bench. She ran to the other side of the seat to get the ball, and practiced her favorite move, the heel to heel. It was a total fake out move, and she loved it. She would get close enough to just taunt the opponent with the ball, then heel, touch, kick. She was still getting the hang of some of the harder dribble-tricks, but it didn't even matter anymore. It's not as if her new school had a soccer team. Maybe she really would go back to muggle school next year as she'd told Iestyn she might. |

"Hi Marigold. I'm Beverly. Slytherin...third year." Yeah, and they were great. And...the girl should tell her what she was to get the ball moving. |

"Oh...." She nodded with a smile. "That's good. Are you trying out this year?" |

He had only found this info last night. And hadn't shared it with anyone yet even Adeline. He wanted to tell someone. Asher smiled, no matter how much Alec kept telling him how much he missed him. It always made him feel good. This called for a bro!hug. Yes it did. And Alec got one, a big one. "Thanks, bro. It's good to be back. You can tell me every time you see me if you want." It was welcomed and appreciated. As long as it was followed by plenty fist bumps and bro!hugs. He nodded. "Yep I couldn't sleep." He didn't have a clue as to why. But last night had been particularly harder to get sleep. He grinned everything he said was true. "Well Summers you're one of only a few that are allowed to interrupt me. Or come with." He pushed his should jokingly or maybe it was more of changeling him to come with. |

And she hadn't been the first person to ask him that question this year. It seemed that the Common Room lately was buzzing about sign ups and who was on the team the previous year as well as who'd be on it this term. His name was bouncing around as an almost given for trying out, but...heights, yeah? He didn't like them. He didn't want them. He didn't need them. And, unfortunately, they were an integral part of the institution of Quidditch. Flying meant heights and heights meant a spazzy, sick Ascanius. "M'not sure," he said honestly. "Assuming you are, beautiful?" From the way she had been chirping on about it for the past several minutes. |
Blair took a pleasant wander around the now familiar grounds. She was so glad to finally be back here and in one of her favourite places. She liked the courtyard for several reasons, one of which being that this was where she met her friend Dylan. She sighed, remembering that she had not yet seen him since returning. As of yet Blair did not have many friends at Hogwarts. She had focussed most of her first year on getting used to the idea of magic. She had decided this year however that was to change. Hence why she had wandered out to the courtyard, hoping to stumble upon some new friends. She took a seat on an empty bench and looked around. Yes, it was good to be back she thought. |

"There has to be something," she murmured, placing her hand on a gargoyle's foot, hoping it would reveal some sort of secret passage. But again, her efforts were futile. She sighed, deciding to give up her search for the moment. She turned around and saw a younger girl sitting on the bend near her. "Hello there," she called, stepping over to where she was sitting. |
