It's a fine sunny afternoon and a perfect day for a lesson on Charms. When you walk into the classroom, the sun is shining through the windows that are opened just a crack to let in some fresh air. The classroom is set up normally; desks and chairs are in their proper rows and aisles. The black board is cleared off and Professor Fuller sits at his desk, happily awaiting the arrival of his darling little students.
.... Scratch that.
Professor Fuller is currently reclined back in his chair, his legs slung over the corner of his desk. His head hangs over the back of his chair and his mouth is hanging open. He's snoring, too. Oh, and is that drool? Yeah, that's probably drool. Was it time for class?

His eyesight really was bad so... maybe it was a good thing that Awar checked her reflection in the mirror too. It was a shame that nothing happened. ... Try for the wrinkles near her eyes? Alec leaned a tiny bit closer and squinted a little at those before nodding. Sure. He could... ... do that, right?
Clearing his throat, he pointed his wand at her face -- that wasn't scary, right? -- and said in a voice that was a little bit more confident than last time, "Frontis Allevatus!" SWISH!
...
... Waiting...
... GRIN. "I think you're going to like the results," he said, holding up the mirror so that it faced her.
Oh my. He was doing a lot of squinting. Which meant, he really didn't have such good eyesight. Maybe he accidentally vanished something else O_O. She checked in the mirror to count accountable her ears and anything else that might have been in the shooting range. Yep! All good!
Awar closed her eyes again and prepared for the second attempt. She felt a tickle-y feeling on the corners of her eyes. Alec was grinning, so that was good right?
She picked up the mirror to see what had happened. The wrinkles were gone! GASP. "I look like a fully energized 16 year old!" She joked.

It was kind of nerve-wracking to wait for the right reaction, you know? What if it only looked like it had worked but hadn't actually? Just... yeah. Scary. And to him, it certainly looked like the spell had done its work but that was still hard to tell since he wasn't the one that looked at her face every day.

... Wait. "What do you mean you're sixteen?!" Hello?! She was still twelve. Surely. ... Right? Yeah... maybe his bad memory was getting the better of him. Instead, he shook his head and grinned at her. "You look great! It looks like the spell worked." Nodnod.

"This looks great, Tessa. Thanks. I guess it's my turn now huh," Sander leaned forward to study his girlfriend's face. No matter how many wrinkles she had, Sander saw past that to the beauty within her. No amount of wrinkles would change his mind about her. She would always be beautiful in his eyes.
He touched her cheeks fingering the wrinkles there. "I'm going to work on these beauty lines," he smiled at her as he swished his wand over her cheek area and said the words to the incantation,"Frontis Allevatus."
He breathed a sigh of relief when the lines began to smooth out and eventually fade away. "There you go. All done. Here have a look," Sander picked up his mirror and placed it up for Tessa to examine herself.
Tessa felt herself warm to Sander's words. She knew that he felt that way... but it was different when it was put into words. She couldn't describe why. She watched for his reaction, hoping that he would approve of the spell work she had done.
When he voices his pleasure, she smiled in relief. "I'm glad- this way we can practice this on ourselves all the time," she said with a soft laugh. Not that it really mattered- it wasn't their looks that they were each attracted to. She laughed softly at Sander's new name for the wrinkles. "I like that- beauty lines," she told him with a smile.
She closed her eyes, completely at ease as Sander cast the spell. She felt as if someone had gently pressed back on her skin until it remained where it was placed. Then, as the sensation faded she opened her eyes, grinning up at Sander. "Let's see," she said, turning her head in the mirror. "Wow- I look a hundred years younger!" she said with a laugh. "Thank you!"

The Hufflepuff was almost scared off her chair when Alec questioned her age, "YES, YES! I'M SIXTEEN!" Maaan, this aging thing was really affecting him, huh?
She made a dramatic scene of framing her wrinkle-free face and tossed her hair back, "Why, thank you for the face-lift, Doctor Summers!"
Yessss, her turn! Awar put a finger on her chin, struggling to pick a wrinkle to aim for. AHA! Boom. Wrinkle #26 on his cheek. She postioned her wand and straightened up her posture, "Frontis Allevatus!" Loving swish!
Awar stared at his face and suddenly burst out laughing. In the ocean of wrinkles on Alec's face, was a smooth area on his cheek, "Looks lovely, but you're going to need a lot more!"

BLINK. BLINK. Why was she SHOUTING?! "Shhhh! Pipe down!" Just a bit? Because her voice was still ringing in his ears and the loud was was giving him a headache. "I remember you being a wee young girlie of twelve who..." How and where had they first met? ... Erm...? "... was meeting me for the first time." Saved!
And... he was laughing some more. Full barks of laughter at the dramatics. "Anytime, Awar the actress!" Dramatics, you know.
Uh oh. She was pointing her was at his face. The sight was enough for the eighteen year old's eyes to bulge out. Erm... don't look at the wand? Awesome. And he couldn't look at anything else so... he just closed his eyes. His wrinkles were in your hands, Awarlesta.
And then there was a tickling sensation. On his cheek. He resisted the urge to let out a laugh -- ticklish problems, you know? -- and, instead, opened his eyes again. He was going to need a lot more? Why? What had she-- And he was chuckling. Again. "Yeah, I think you're right," he said, examining his reflection in the hand held mirror very closely, "Think you want to try on another area of my face?" He was hoping she'd say yes because he didn't want to walk around with a smooth cheek and wrinkles everywhere else.
OH. That's right. It was written right there up on the board, how could he have forgotten that.
Well... as a matter of fact... how could he have forgotten the spell in the first place?
Tobias may have ruminated on that question for some time, had his wandering attention not saved him. His gaze fell on the little mirrors that had been handed out, and Tobias found himself picking it up and looking at his reflection. He jumped in surprise slightly when he saw it; it was pretty difficult to keep up with and remember what he looked like these days. All those wrinkles were kind of unnerving.
Wait... wrinkles...
OH YEAH, THE SPELL!
That cheered Toby up a bit, and he set up the mirror so it leaned against his textbook at such an angle that he could see his reflection properly. Okay, so here goes...
"Frontis Allevatus!" Tobias cast, swishing his wand at the permanent crows feet wrinkles that had appeared at the edge of his eye. He squinted and leeeeeaned in closer to the mirror. Was it working?

"Yes, absolutely!" She slipped on invisible latex gloves and positioned her wand again, "Let your face lift begin! Frontis Allevatus!" Swish. Move wand. "Frontis Allevatus!" Swish. Move wand. "Frontis Allevatus!" Swish. TA-DA! "How did I do?" Awar asked, passing him a mirror.

He should have known not to anger a teenage girl, right? Right. How could e have forgotten something like that?! So, to not cause any trouble, he simply shook his head before continuing, "Yeah! I'm all grown up!" She wasn't calling him OLD, right? RIGHT? "Awesome! My face is in your hands, Miss Black." Just... not literally.
Awar the actress was at it again, this time with the glove movements. Amused, Alec was. So much so that he let out a small chuckle before closing his eyes. He did not want to see that wand being pointed at his face again. Not at all. He didn't need to worry, though, and tried his hardest not to grin or pull a funny face to throw the girl off. Sitting. Waiting.
The familiar tickling sensation was back and it did cause him to let out smile and silently chuckle. And another one! Was his face really that wrinkly that it needed a lot of wrinkle healing spells cast on it? How did she do? He blinked his eyes open and took hold of the mirror. "You know, if I find a wrinkle, I'll--"
WOAH. "Awar!" GRIN! More observing of his reflection and maybe some cheek prodding too. "I... I don't look old! This is BRILLIANT!" And then he leant forwards suddenly and wrapped his arms around the girl. Brilliant. Just... brilliant!

"You are most welcome. I'm glad my spell worked," Sander smiled happily glad to see her laugh. When it came to everyone's current looks there really had been nothing to laugh about. Sander was just grateful that the staff were trying their best to help out anyway they could with potions and spells.
"I guess we've gotten rid of our wrinkles for now. I don't remember hearing Professor Fuller mentioning whether the effects were permanent, or if not how long. So I guess for now this spell will be handy to have around."
Sander watched as others continued to practiced the spell. He was just content to sit next to Tessa and rest for the time being.
Well, unless Toby was very much mistaken (really actually quite possible), the wrinkles at the corner of his left eye looked... shallower? MAYBE? Did that mean it had WORKED?
Well, obviously not TOTALLY worked, but Professor Neighbour Dude had said something about how you'd need to keep casting the spell but if you reached balloon face then you'd gone too far. So YEAH. That totally counted as a successful spell.
Keeping in mind to look out for any sign of balloonage, Tobias got to work on the rest of his wrinkles, intending to keep on at it until Fuller told them they could move on.
It was working for surely sure this time! Tobias beamed at his reflection as he noticed that the crows feet in the corner of his left eye were all but gone, in a stark comparison to those over at his right eye, which made it look like his face needed some heavy duty ironing. He'd not completely gotten right of the ones on the left, but now they were just lines rather than full-blown wrinkles. Tobias didn't want to risk ballooning, and of course he wasn't too bothered about just having a few lines there, so he got to work on the right eye. This was slightly more tricky, because his wand arm was his right arm. Still, after reworking a few angles, he found one that worked and got started on evening his face out.

"Yes, laugh lines, zat might be easier," Justine said distractedly, her hand reaching up to her face, she felt her smooth cheeks, her unwrinkled chin and forehead, she didn't feel anything out of the ordinary, maybe she had been mistaken.
"No, no, it's good now," Justine said, nodding in approval as the spell worked its magic and stuck this time. "You've got it, and I promise I'm not lying," Justine said, with a small laugh.
"Just... y'know... just so I can see what the spell would do?" Mo made faces at Justine, apologetic and anxious all at once, as he reached out and put his fingers on her chin to tilt her face away from him. He wanted to try the spell and see the effect, and... it wouldn't hurt to do away with those fine lines while he was at it anyway.
"Frontis Allevatus," he swished the wand gently, watching for the effect of the spell on wrinkles that were really only BARELY visible anyway. "Gosh, I can't even tell if it did anything. Guess you didn't need it at all." Liar. Mo was a big fat liar, and he was entirely unrepentant.

"I suppose," Justine said. She didn't like the way Marcus was looking at her, ether he was terribly worried about something, or he was having a stroke, she hoped it was the latter. Closing her green eyes as Marcus began to do the spell, Justine could not feel the tightening of her skin as the sensation was so minute.
"Really, zank goodness... I vas so vorried," Justine said, lifting up the mirror to her face and grinning broadly when she saw her perfectly youthful looking complexion.
Still grinning away, she turned back to the young man. "Should ve do zee rest of your face? It vould be odd to leave so much of it still... Aged," Justine politely said, looking at the strange saggy-ness of the boy's ears.

Maybe his focus wasn't quite right. Or his angle in which he was trying to work. Maybe that was what had caused it to be minimal in change. Benny could still see some difference if he looked close enough but he doubted anyone else looking at him would have. Especially when he got the next growth of hair in that area to cover it all up.
Adjusting himself in his seat, his body starting to revolt in the way he was carrying himself, the second year debated what changed he could make the second time around. ben looked in the mirror closely once more, turning the object in his hand right and left to try and figure out the best angle. The Gryffindor finally settling on one with the opposite side of his face being visible. Maybe it just might work best with the hold of his wand. "Frontis Allevatus," he cast again with a clean swish like before. This time he was anxious to see the results, smiling when a reminder of what he looked like before this term returned in the mirror.

Oh! Hug! That's good right?? Or maybe he trying to strangle her? Blink, Blink. No, no, its a hug. Squuuueeezee. "Yaaay for Alec looking young!" At least looking right? They still have to fix the aching bones and such.
Oh, wait. The lesson wasn't completely over, so maybe there was something for that too, yeah? Awar blew on the top of her wand, twirled it in her fingers, and finished off by shoving it in her pocket, "You're very much welcome, little man." Been watching too many western American movies, ay.
Perhaps picking out the familiar looking blurry figure wasn't the best thing to do.
Not only could she NOT hear a thing Michael was saying, even after she stuck the tip of her wand inside her ears to try and clean them up so that she could, but once he slid the piece of parchment over towards her, she couldn't even see it.
And she tried. Tried her hardest and everything. She held it away from her, then held it right under her nose, then she even tried to keep her eyes open as wide as she could, but nothing. The words were all a jumbled mess and her head was beginning to hurt from all the straining she was doing. Rhodes placed the parchment back down onto the desk, and picking up the quill, began to write back.
She might've wrote over Michael's words, and all the letters might've been on a slant, but given her condition, she thought she was doing good.
And off to Michael it went.
There was nothing wrong with Michael's eyes so he could see Rhodes quite clearly and what he was seeing did not help his confidence in getting through this class very much.
He waited patiently while she started writing something on the parchment he had put in front of her. When she had finished and it was back in front of him, Michael picked it up and read it.
Great.
He was deaf and she was apparently both deaf and blind. So what were they supposed to do now? He did not want to ask the Professor because the man was already angry with him as it was.
Michael looked at the board and he could see the incantation written up there and then he looked around the room to see what his classmates were doing. After watching them for a moment, he kinda got the gist of what they had to do.
So he picked up his wand and pointed at Rhodes face. "FRONTIS ALLEVATUS." He meant to make a swishing movement with his wand but he just ended up smacking her in the face with it.

Did the Hogwarts Healer give out eye exams?
Because at that moment, the thing Rhodes wanted most, was a nice pair of glasses that would help her see. She didn't know why the Professors were still holding classes. It wasn't like she could learn anything in her condition. And even if she was able to see and hear, she would most likely just forget everything in a matter of minutes anyway.
Rhodes let out a huff, then another huff because she was allowed to, and once Michael turned away from her, some help he was, she followed his gaze and glanced around the classroom as well. She.. couldn't tell what everyone was doing, but as long as she pretended..
Her wand was in her hand not as quickly as she would've liked it to be once he was pointing his right at her face, and since he was mouthing off some kind of gibberish, she decided to, too.
"FRONKLIS ALLEYOPUS." Was that right? No? Squint."FRONTIS ALLEVATUS." That seemed more spell-like and..
SMACK.
Her wand went right across Michael's face, since she was copying off him and all now.

Well this was not going particularly well at all. Michael rubbed the side of his face where Rhodes had just whacked him with her wand.
Maybe they should find partners who didn't have this ageing problem. Unfortunately everyone seemed to already have a partner and were happily practicing so it looked as though he and Rhodes was going to haveto stick it out.
"FRONTIS ALLEVATUS." He swished his wand and managed not to smack her in the face this time. No instead his wand went up her nose.
Michael knew that they were doing this wrong but since he had no idea what the spell was supposed to do in the first place he supposed it didn't really matter.

Oh, would you look at that!
She couldn't tell if her spell had worked. Rhodes placed her wand back onto her desk, and scooting the whole thing closer to Michael, she leaned forward to squint at him. She.. wasn't sure what the spell did, but since her wand had just slapped him across the face, she supposed it had something to do with that. But even through her very blurry eyes, she could tell that he looked exactly the same.
Old. Wrinkly. Did she mention old?
At least she could feel a little good about herself, since it was apparent that his spell didn't work on her either. Rhodes picked up her wand once more, and after pulling his wand from out of her nose, and after wiping its tip on the front of his robes, she decided to try again.
Ascanius really, really disliked this class and the subject of it's lecture today. He didn't have wrinkles, his face was practically perfect and he didn't want to be counted among the elderly folk that looked like little prunes that needed this extra work, yeah? He was NOT a fan of everything and everyone, virtually, getting all old on him.
He was an appreciator of beauty, yeah? And Hogwarts with it's weird stuff screwed that all up for him.
But he needed the class credit, so he yanked out his wand and started to practice the wand movement. Pretty simple.
The tricker part was the incantation so he repeated it over and over again underneath his voice, "Frontis Allevatus....Frontis Allevatus......Frontis Allevatus."

Cool.
Partner, anyone?
Alex was still trying to find another partner to work with. Between Sander's work and her own spell practice, she had pretty much taken care of her forehead and mouth wrinkles. She still needed to have someone tackle those nasty eye wrinkles for her....and she was still hoping to practice the spell a few more times herself.
Scanning the classroom, Alex saw one boy practicing alone and wondered if he might like to work with her. Oh, she recognized him as one of the band members from the Valentine's ball. He didn't have any wrinkles to speak of, but maybe he might want to practice on a wrinkly girl. Approaching him, she said, "Hi I'm Alex". "I'm looking for a partner. Would you be interested in practicing the spell with me?"

All Brynn was able to focus on were the words that had come from the Professor - there was no cure to this. And even though he had done more talking, like about how they had spells and potions on how to alleviate symptoms, much of it didn't register after that. How could she possibly go on if there was no real cure? She was only 11 and who knew how much time she had left?
The former redhead tried to stay out of panic mode and bit her lip to keep it from wibbling. She just wanted to be cute again and look her age. She was sure this was Karma's way of repaying her wishing she could be more mature like a teenager.. and now look at her! If nothing else, she could at the very least attempt this spell and look halfway normal again, or hope to. At least she wasn't quite as wrinkly as she had been after that anti-wrinkle potion, but she could probably still benefit from whatever Charm the professor was droning on about.
Brynn looked up to the board to see what they were doing, then glanced around for a partner. Of course all her friends were paired up, she thought glumly. Well.. if anyone needed one they could come find her she guessed and she started practicing on her own. Frontis Allevatus. Swish.

WHAT. Caleb had NOT been sleeping, what are you talking about??
Ok, maybe he had. And now he had no idea what to do. But he could figure out ONE thing from looking around the room - he was going to need a partner to do whatever they needed.
"Hey, wanna partner up?" Caleb asked a nearby Ravenclaw who looked like she needed someone to work with. Ok, cool. Hopefully she could tell him what the heck they were DOING too.

Well, it seemed easy enough, Brynn supposed after trying that little bit of practice before actually doing anything. It was a swish, yeah, and the incantation.. she totally had it down in her head but maybe she should say it out loud to be sure. "Fron-tis Al-le-va-tus," she pronounced slowly. That seemed right.
But to actually try it on herself - or even someone else - she was a little worried. It was her face.. what if something went terribly wrong? Though she did wonder how much worse it could get, she was already old and gross looking. Although.. she really did not want to tempt fate.
As she picked up the hand mirror at her desk and squinted at her reflection in it, Brynn heard a voice at her side that made her look up. Her eyes still squinty, she peered over at the boy. Hm, a Slytherin she recognized from class but could not recall his name. Sure, if they needed a partner, he could be hers. Hopefully he was pretty good at Charms. "Yeah, that'd be alright," she nodded after looking him over. "I'm Brynn by the way.." They hadn't met earlier, had they? Her memory wasn't what it used to be. "So, um.. you wanna go first or would you like me to practice on you?" She tilted her head as she assessed his appearance. Mhmm, he could benefit from this spell too. Hopefully she could do it right.

Okay, it was time to try out this charm. Casting this charm, that is, not just saying it. Schuyler had said it enough and it was getting to the point where it sounded like complete gibberish rather than a spell.
This was awkward to hold her wand like this, though. Pointing at herself? Odd. But she tried the wand movement, a light swish, and spoke the words "Frontis Allevatus." Unfortunately, by the time she'd finishing saying the charm, her wand was pointing more towards her ear than to her face.
At least she'd have an un-wrinkled earlobe..? If it worked. She didn't check. Also, she didn't think her earlobes were actually wrinkly. Maybe a little droopier than normal. That's what happens when you get old. You get droopy earlobes. And droopy other things.

"Nice to meet ya, Brynn," Caleb said with a smile. OH GOOD she had offered to go first. Lovely, he could just watch her and copy her after he was all young and beautified again. He had gathered THAT much from watching the other people in the last three minutes - they were going to be YOUNG again! Hopefully. If she did it right and didn't blow his ears off or something.
"You can go first," he said. "Oh, and I'm Caleb, by the way. Caleb Newell," he said with a smile. A smile that also said Yes, remember that name in case you disfigure me in which case that name will be the name of your DOWNFALL. But hopefully she wouldn't pick up on that.
