Alice finally reached the part of the daydream that resembled her room, glancing around it in awe. The bed looked exactly like the one she slept in every day of summer, and the little window seat, her nightstand, the chest of drawers... everything mirrored her own possessions at home precisely, and she couldn't find a single thing to let her know that it wasn't real.

She idly sat down on her bed, slipping her wand from her robe sleeve again and tapping it against the sheets. Needed to go back now, or she might just have a heart attack from how authentic this seemed. "Finite."

Yikes. Maybe it would have been a good idea to stand up, because when Alice fell to the ground of the Charms classroom with a thud, she could definitely feel and hear a cracking in her back. And her knee. And her elbows when she pushed herself into a standing position.

The seventh year limped back to her seat, hunching over with a hand on her back like an old hag. Ouch.

What was Mo doing with her head?! Oh. So her hair had been mussed, then? Now it was better though, so that was always a good thing. "Umm." What did it smell like? Cat thought about that. "It smelled like... cold. You know? And blood. Yetis are sort of savage. I don't think I want to hug one anymore." She smiled, "It was a good daydream, Mo. Sort of scary and definitely cold but it was still good." And that was the truth. He had a good imagination.

So did she. She just needed to concentrate.

"Okay. Hold on. Let me do this first." Cause she hadn't even made hers yet. Cat pondered, considering taking a page from Mo's book and putting him in the body of a killer shark, ripping and tearing into seals. But surely, surely that would make him a sad Mo, and she didn't like a sad Mo. Instead, Cat imagined a pretty, pretty place not much unlike the one Professor Fuller had thought up, except hers was different. Everything was made of FOOD, and even though it wasn't REAL food, it still smelled and tasted like it was. Trees, grass, flowers, even cotton candy clouds. There was also a chocolate river, just like in the room of the chocolate factory in that one book they'd read. Except her place was outside.

That was good. SWEET. Pun intended. She got her wand out and circled it around the water, thinking on her daydream again, "Sentio Somnium." It was like her wand squirted out a purple light and Cat picked up the goblet to observe the water. Hmm. She offered it to Mo.

Sentio Somnium.

Right, Sophie had it. The wand movement was fairly simple, too. All she really had to work on was intent, which was pretty simple, too. All in all, it seemed like she'd be on a beach somewhere laid out under an umbrella with no homework in sight in just a matter of moments.

That was her hope for a daydream, at least.

Sophie chose a goblet of water that had yet to be claimed then flicked her wand out her holster.

Could Mikey even hear him? Even if he, Tag was talking back loudly. Did he need to fix him up or get Professor Fuller, or was he too busy perhaps going through his own daydream?

"Do you understand what we're meant to do now? Also, what happened to your hearing?" Tag asked him, pointing to his own ears.

Oh, Gryffindor to the rescue. "Ask Tag," Fuller said dully to the three students who were apparently going deaf. Because he didn't need to yell in order to teach. And he was tired. And possibly lazy. "If you can't listen, you can leave. And get your bloody hearing checked." Mer-lin.

And with that, the charms professor wandered around the classroom to check on the normally behaving students. "You guys are doing great, keep it up!"

By the time Ascanius had decided to actually use the spell or charm or whatever uggers in the front of the classroom wanted to classify it as, the sixth year had really taken the time to look at his goblet and consider what his daydream would be. Sure, sure. He could think of something before hand, but he knew his head. It wouldn't start to actually manifest until he took the ruddy thing.

Ahem.

The thought actually made his chest constrict and his eyes searched the room for his girlfriend 'cause no doubt-

Right. Practice. He needed to get back on to doing that, yeah?

He considered a tamer daydream and tried to focus very hard on that. A big house with his band in front of him and the drums slamming in his ear drums...but he kept getting distracted by other things. FOCUS.

With a swirl of his wand around the goblet, he whispered, "Sentio Somnium."

And it looked like it worked. Though his mind was fuzzy on which daydream he had chosen.

Ana listened carefully as they were told what spell they were going to be using. It seemed easy enough.

Repeating the incantation Sentio Somnium under her breath a few times Ana waited until she saw a clear spot at the table with the water goblets before going to grab her own. She didn't want to knock into anyone and spill the water on the floor or anything. So when there was an Ana shaped gap she darted in to grab a goblet before moving out of anyone else's way.

She even had a clear image of her daydream in her head.

Finding a mostly student free area Ana unholstered her wand before circling it over her goblet and saying, "Sentio Somnium," keeping the image of her daydream fixed in her head as she did so.

Josette jumped at the sudden shouting going on in class. Coming from...the Professor? She looked at him fearfully before he was suddenly going on with the lesson. Josette listened very intently to everything the Professor was saying to the best of her knowledge. They were going to make their own daydream in this goblet? That definitely sounded interesting.

Paying close attention to the Professor as he gave them their instructions, she became very eager to get started. As everyone was practicing saying the incantation, softly muttered the it to herself sounding out, "SEN-tee-oh-SOM-nee-uhm.." Saying it again a little louder, but this time practicing her wrist movement like the Professor had done, SEN-tee-oh-SOM-nee-uhm.."

... This... really didn't feel right.

Frowning a little, Alec picked up the goblet and looked around. Just take a sip? A small sip? Just to see if it worked, yeah? He picked up the goblet and swirled the water around. It was just water, he didn't understand why this was making him so... nervous. Maybe because this had a really high chance of getting this wrong. What if it showed another daydream? Or a ni--

... People were shouting. SHOUTING.

More grimaces happened before the Head Boy raised the goblet to his lips and closed his eyes. Small sips were taken. Just small ones because he was still bit nervous about this. Once he was done, he blinked open his eyes and took a look a--

...

...

Okay, this wasn't his daydream. He wouldn't be daydreaming about the Charms classroom. And... why... did everything look so fuzzy?! He blinked a couple of times before... nope. Still fuzzy vision. Furrowing his eyebrows, he looked down at his goblet instead. This was water, right?

Bart was half asleep really when he noticed people were doing things, what were they doing. He looked around and tried to figure it out for himself. Then the professor was showing an example and he watched closely trying to make sure he knew what was going on. A daydream? Hmmm he thought about what he liked to daydream about. He daydreamed a lot so why would this spell help him at all. Couldn't he just do it sitting at his seat like every other class.

Getting up he got his water, but still wasn't sure of the spell. Moving closer to a group of people he listened, Sentio Somnium. Was that what they were saying? He could barely hear them, but it sounded right. The wand movement looked easy enough. He walked over to his glass and looked down.

He wasn't thirsty so why did he have a glass in front of him. What was his wand out for again. He came over here for something, but what was it?

She repeated it one more time before she felt she'd said it enough times to stick in her brain.

Now what was the next part again?

OH RIGHT.

Think of a clear image in your head? That was the next step right? Right?

Josette looked around at everyone else already steps ahead of her taking sips from their goblets. Feeling a bit slower than the others, she focused on her goblet filled with water in front of her. She leaned her head over the cup looking into it.

Wait, what was she supposed to do next?

RIGHT, think about what you want in your daydream!

What did she want in her daydream?

It certainly took her a few minutes before she felt she had a pretty clear image in her head. She lifted her wanted over her goblet & froze. What was the incantation again?! No not again! Why was her brain going blank like before?! She looked around frantically at everyone else watching them, feeling too afraid to ask the scary Professor to repeat himself. Squinting her eyes a bit to read one of the students lips she was able to sound it out herself in a hushed tone, thus making her remember!

'SEN-tee-oh-SOM-nee-uhm.'

Lifting her wand again she spoke the incantation, "Sentio Somnium.." Although she did think she saw something happen, she wasn't too sure if she did it right though. Should she drink it?

Caleb was determined to get this spell right - even if it wasn't the REAL Baldwin he still wanted to see him! So, determined now more than ever, he sat in front of his goblet and really pictured it. It helped that he'd at least been in his room that last time, so he had a VERY clear image of it in his head. Then he imagined Baldwin running around with his favorite toy. Come on, get it right this time...get it right...

He swirled his wand over to goblet. "Sentio Somnium!" he exclaimed, thinking long and hard about that daydream once again. He then took a drink and waited.

When he opened his eyes, he was in his room - and there was Baldwin! HIS LITTLE CRUP! Well ok. His dad's crup. Whatever. HE WAS THERE! The little pup barked and ran straight into his arms. Caleb knew he was just daydreaming but...he was REAL in that moment. A real life puppy snuggled up in his arms. He felt real, smelled real (that was for sure) and even licked his face!

THIS SPELL WAS AMAZINGGGGG.

Awesome! Purple thingies had vanished into his water from his wand. This meant he was clear to drink now, yes? Adi was about to do just this wen he noticed Bart. The Gryffindor had a confused look on his face and he seemed to be eavesdropping on some students. And then he was looking at his goblet in bewilderment after walking back to it.

It was the incantation Adi realised. Bart had forgotten it just like he had earlier. But Bart seemed to have forgotten much more than that. "Yo, Bart. The incantation is Sentio Somnium. Circle your water with the wand while picturing your daydream. Don't forget to say the incantation.'' That should help the Lion.

It made Lux happy when Bay managed to get the spell correct and produced the purple light that was supposed to happen. "Awesome job! That was all you!" Patting him on the back lightly, she was impressed that he managed to get it with his terrible memory.

Heading back to what she had been doing before she went to help Bay, she picked up her goblet and drank the water inside. Immediately she was in the air waaaaay above the ground. The wind was blowing her hair, and she held a Beater's bat in her hands. There was no sense of fear in her, and she was not even concerned about how high off the ground she was. It was an amazing feeling.

Okay, he was just... going to try this again then. Frowning, he placed his goblet down onto the table and blinked a couple more time. This fuzzy vision should just... go, yeah? It wasn't helping and it was only going to make him worry about whether or not this was staying for life. He really didn't want to have this kind of vision when he was playing Quidditch, you know. No.

... Moving on...

Alec took out his wand and tried his hardest to think of a daydream. He needed something... good. And something that definitely wasn't the Charms classroom. That way, he would definitely be able to tell whether the spell had worked or not, right? Yeah. But... the question was... what could he daydream about? There were lots of possibilities from his home to his puppy to... yeah, there were lots of possibilities.

Trying to focus on one thing in particular -- which was hard, by the way -- the eighteen year old raised his wand and took a deep breath. Sentio Somnium... Sentio Somnium... "Sentio Somnium!" Wand movement had happened too. Circular motion over the water? Yeah.

Once again, a pale purple string of light flew out of his wand and into the goblet before... disappearing. ... Okay.

He was still standing and staring at his glass. What was it he was suppose to be doing. He went to look up or maybe even take a drink since he was standing in front of it when he heard a voice. Looking up he saw a puffer, did he know his name. He scratched his head, why was he so bad at names. He listened, "Sentio Somnium" he repeated after the boy. Oh that's right the daydream thing. "Yeah thanks dude"

He looked back at his glass, "Did yours work? I mean what was your daydream?" He still wasn't sure what to daydream. It was awkward to think about really, because didn't daydreams just happen. Not really much thought to them. The thoughts that went into them were all about the daydream not really making them work with a charm.

Soon his focus was gone and he stared blankly at the glass again. Oh right he pulled his wand up and circled the glass, "Sentio Somnium" Seeing nothing he wondered if it worked. Did it? Well he took a sip of the water to see, but nope still the classroom.

"No problem,'' Adi said, looking closely at Bart. The kid still seemed a bit off. Was there something else bothering him other than the sudden memory loss? Was it somehow linked to all the strange happenings? Ugh! So many questions with no answers!

Adi decided to quit worrying about the ailments and complete his task before he forgot what he was supposed to be doing. "I dunno but I sure hope it does!'' He watched Bart sip his water. Did it work? "Concentrate properly,'' he encouraged, just in case the classroom was still visible to the boy. Bart would get it soon.

Meanwhile, the Puff took a sip of his water and looked around. His face lit up instantly. He was standing in a huge, lush green meadow filled with Hippogriffs! Hippogriffs of all sizes and colours! Some grooming, some eating, some playing with their young...How cool was this?!

Well, she had managed to play around with the incantation and then somebody spoke like a normal person and explained everything again. Thank merlin for him because who knew what mess Hannah was about to be in while guessing what to do.

So the spell was simple enough and what could go wrong if she managed to get it wrong? Worst case scenario is that she wouldn't daydream and Hannah was okay with that really.

Trying her best to clear her mind of everything, she moved her wand in a circular motion and said the spell. "Sentio Somnium" She was clearly thinking of herself jogging down the beach without a care in the world and without any bones protesting.

Now it was only time to see if it worked. She took a drink of the water in the goblet and nothing. Well, that was a bust. Hannah was going to give it another go. She didn't know how anybody expected her to clear her mind when he body was falling apart over here.

Hannah was just going to try the spell again when she knocked her wand off her desk. UGH! She didn't have all day to be bending over and picking it up. As soon as she leaned over something escaped from her that made her eyes widen.

POOOOOOOOOT! That did not just happen. Hannah Marie Lockwood did not pass gas, she just didn't.

...Should she drink it?

What if it didn't work?

..What if it did work?

She nervously put her hands on the goblet as she slowly brought it up to her face. The smell almost made her feel like she would've lost her breakfast from this morning. Josette put it back down on her desk taking a moment waiting for her stomach to settle.

'Don't throw up. Don't throw up.'

Feeling her stomach finally settle, she looked back at the goblet. With shaking hands, she picked it up once again trying not to breathe this time. Josette looked at the liquid inside before closing her eyes once she brought it to her lips, letting it flow down her throat.

When she opened her eyes again her mouth dropped. Not only did it work, but she was suddenly at a place where she'd ALWAYS wanted to go for years: a CARNIVAL! Josette smiled eagerly making her way into this great daydream heading straight towards a cart that had cotton candy. Grabbing onto one, she studied it; even poked at the fluffy treat; looking to see how real it was. It seemed so real, that she really wanted to munch on it straight away and let it dissolve in her mouth into delicious sugar! But should she though?

...Wasn't this just a daydream?

Okay, this was it. He just had to take a sip. Just a small sip, nothing big.

Taking a deep breath, Alec picked up the goblet of water and peeked into it again. In all honesty, he was a little hesitant about this. It hadn't worked the last time and... what if this made his vision even more fuzzy? Was the charm meant to do that? ... Probably not. Maybe it was just... his eyes. Cue more blinking that included squeezing his eyes shut and opening them again.

... Yeah... NOW he was ready to see if this had worked.

Another deep breath was taken before the boy raised the goblet of water to his lips and took a sip before placing it down again. Unlike last time, he didn't close his eyes. He wanted to see exactly what would happen if the spell worked and he ended up entering his daydream place. All of it. He did think it'd be like... like the dream sequences he saw in Muggle movies when the main character didn't really know that they were in a dream. The confusion would come easily to--

Yeah, the confusion was there. Where was he?! Up in some clouds? Because all he saw around him were blue skies. Was it a summer's -- HEH -- day? And if he was somewhere high up in the clouds, how was he able to sit up there? Clouds were only made of water, he knew that. A loud bark made him jump -- OW! Rub rub the lower back area -- and look over toward...

... CHIP!

Picking up the young golden retriever, he held him in his arms. Cuddles were happening while he looked around again. More things seemed to have materialised which... explained why he was able to sit there and still be able to see the sky. Hey treehouse. It's good to be sitting back here again. He had questions about this, obviously. Like... why was he sitting in this treehouse of all places? Alec was sure he had abandoned this place years ago. And, looking down, he didn't see his usual garden or the Phillips's garden. Instead, he saw... a quidditch pitch? Had he somehow... merged two daydreams together by thinking of both at the same time? Home and quidditch?

... This was confusing.

... He needed to go. Charms, you know. Frown.

The wand was drawn out again and... "Finite!" The daydream place dissolved away and, instead, he was back in the usual classroom. And his puppy? ... Not there. Instead, he was holding a part of his robe very closely to his chest. ... He'd just... place that back down again, then, yeah? Awesome.

OKay, so the spell has nothing to do with scents but still involvves daydreams. Thats still pretty awesome As the teacher progressed the lesson Oichi did her best to hear what he had to say. She even moved up a bit to hear the professor better and then before long it was time to try out the spell. Okay, think of a daydream, hmm. Perhaps being in a snow suit atop a mountain with a snow board shredding the powder. Yeah, that would be fun. But first I probably should practice the spell. "Scentio somnum, no, sentio somniam, nuh uh, sentio somnium, yes, sentio somnim, sentio somnium, sentio somnium. I've got the spell now just to add the wand movement.

Okay. Now Terry could move on to actually completing the main task of the lesson. He could stop practicing now. It wasn’t like the words were that hard to say.

He squinted down at his goblet, watching his reflection in the water before thinking of his daydream location. It would be somewhere quite calm, maybe in the middle of a deep valley, a winding river running through the middle of the hills. A Hippogriff was flying majestically past him, it calling out as it soared along.

The sixth year smiled as he formed a circular motion on top of the goblet with his wand. He closed his eyes, picturing the daydream once again before speaking the incantation that was charm the water. “Sentio Somnium” he grinned before picking up his goblet and putting it to his lips.

Here goes nothing..

So she'd sipped the water and as soon as she had, the classroom seemed to melt away right before her eyes. Ella's eyes widened slightly as suddenly a new place formed and there was a yard of sorts. Actually, she knew this yard. It was her yard. And though her house was no where in sight, her favorite willow was to her left. It was sunny and the sky was quite blue and she was standing in a big shado-

Turning her head slightly, Ella came face to face with the trunk of an enormous elephant. The creature stared back at her with kind eyes as its trunk patted her head gently. The Head Girl let out a little giggle and hesitantly turned all the way, reaching out to touch the trunk with her hand. This was...very real. And did this mean she'd imagined owning an elephant? Y'know, considering the elephant was in her backyard? Imagine! Best daydream ever.

...Only she knew that it was a daydream and that made this whole situation bittersweet. So the eighteen year old continued to pat the elephant gently for a few more minutes before saying clearly. "Finite."

And she was back in the classroom. Only now she was out of her seat and patting the desk that was behind her affectionately. UM. Awkward. She was just...going to stop that now, yeah? Yeah.

Giving a sheepish smile to the owner of said desk, Ella turned and slipped back into her seat, eyeing her goblet curiously again. That had been really cool. Strange, but definitely cool.

He looked at the puff boy as he started grinning weirdly. Was the boy spacing out or something, "Dude you alright?" Wait was he daydreaming? Was that what it looked like? "It worked for you? What is it? What are you looking at?" Bart started to look around like he'd actually see what the boy was seeing.

He looked back at his glass, alright he had to do this, but he still had no clue what to daydream about. Quidditch maybe, sure he thought about quidditch. Playing for his favorite Australian team. Thinking about that he moved his wand around his glass, "Sentio Somnium" He looked into the glass, " Are you going to work" Yes he was talking to his water.

Taking a sip he looked around. Still just a classroom.

Practice time. This seemed like it could be fun, though Penelope wasn't sure what she was gonna do for her daydream. There were lots of things to choose from - except for food related ones which was kinda lame - so how was she gonna pick just one? She was also curious about what some of the others were choosing, and in particular glanced over at Ascanius who seemed to already be on the casting part. She smiled a little before turning back to her own water goblet.

No need to decide on something yet, she had to just practice the incantation and wand movement first. Even though it looked pretty easy.

"SEN-tee-oh SOM-nee-uhm," she pronounced slowly and then continued, gradually speaking at a normal rhythm, "SEN-tee-oh SOMneeuhm. SENteeoh SOMneeuhm. SENtio SOMnium. Sentio Somnium. Sentio Somnium." And then she circled her wand over the goblet a couple times.

Yep. That wasn't too bad. She liked these easy-to-pronounce incantations and simple wand movements.

Ana looked down, watching as the purple...stuff came from her wand. She was pretty happy about that actually. What with that being what was meant to happen and all. She was still slightly apprehensive about drinking it though. Because what if she'd gotten the daydream part wrong and so didn't see what she wanted to see? What if it turned into a nightmare instead of a daydream? These were all very valid concerns in her opinion.

Holstering her wand Ana looked down at her goblet dubiously before looking at the people around her. They were all trying it so she supposed she could too.

Ana brought the goblet up to her lips and quickly drank the water, not waiting to give herself time to change her mind.
