The Black Lake lies behind the castle and though it may seem like the water is calm on the surface, you will learn that that is not the case underwater. Creatures have made it their home from Merpeople to Grindylows. The most notable is Bartholomew Henry, the Giant Squid. The lake is a beautiful place for you to hang out.
Mr.Kirby has built a dock and has supplied it with some fishing rods. The lures have been charmed to prevent any magical creatures of the lake from getting hooked. The Groundskeeper will not tolerate any use of live bait, and is running a strict CATCH and RELEASE policy. Failure to follow these two rules will result in serious consequences.

As much as she was feeling sorry for Adi, the little comments he kept making were about to ruin her new found emotions. She had half a nerve to turn on her heel and forget all about this punk. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. They were missing for like 10 minutes." She couldn't help but to be a tad sassy, it was in her nature. "I wouldn't have really left you without any teeth." Maybe. No, no, she definitely would have fixed him right up. Of course people needed teeth, but her point was that it wasn't like she left her for weeks in that situation.
Now that was a good question. Why wasn't she savoring the Adi free time like she dreamed about all last year? "I can't help but feel a little bad." she blurted out in horror because she could get her mouth in check. Why on earth would she confide that to him?

True. His teeth hadn't been missing that long but it had been terrifying, those few minutes. Not that Adi would admit that to Hannah. He figured she would be pleased to hear that and he wasn't going to give her that satisfaction. He snorted at what she said next. "Of course you wouldn't have. You were too scared to leave me without any.'' He was glaring at her as he spoke and he suddenly had an idea. Hannah had to be one of those girls who were afraid of toads. She acted like she was royalty or something. He grinned to himself and slowly reached for Gus.
Wait. What was that she was saying? She felt bad? That was the last thing he had been expecting to hear! "Yeah, right,'' Adi said his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Everyone knows you don't have a heart.'' He didn't care right now what he said to her. His hand wrapped around Gus...
"No problem!" Emma smiled, digging her fingers even deeper into the dirt. Mmm. There was something about cold and slightly wet earth that was a source of comfort for her.. probably because she'd spent so much time as a child playing in it.
Emma nodded, biting her lip. "Yeah, my mom never left, it was just um... they just fought a lot is all. And when they weren't fighting they chose to pick at anything and everything that could possibly be wrong with me." She sighed, brushing a stray hair out of her face, leaving a smudge of dirt on her cheek unknowingly in the process.
"I'm so sorry that happened, it must have been really hard for both you and your father. I'm glad that she came back to you though... Do you think you'll ever get the chance to meet your half-siblings?" She asked curiously. Hopefully she wasn't going to cross a line by asking. She smiled, letting out a small chuckle when she realized that they'd both fallen off task.
"Oh no. No worries. Talking is nice. I don't mind your rambling at all. Makes this more interesting. Well, I was born in London, inside my parent's manor.. we've lived there ever since. When my parents were going through their worst bits I spent a lot of time fishing in ponds and lakes with my Grandad, he's my favorite. Umm... my father is pretty much in denial about the fact that I'm a witch, he didn't even know my mum was until after they got married. BIG surprise there for him. I'm glad that he chose to stick around though, even if it is hard for him." Emma replied, pausing to drop another worm in the pile alongside the others.
"Other than my parents being a little bit crazy and overprotective I guess I've had a good life so far, I mean.. my parents make enough money that I've never really gone without, which is fortunate. I have two black cats, that I think I like more than most people, and upon discovering chocolate frogs, I'm pretty sure I have an addiction.. What about you?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

He felt bad for Emma, because even though his mum had left, Michael had never seen them fight. And if they fight and he was pretty sure that they did, every couple fought, they never did it in front of him. And they certainly never treated him bad. "I think it was harder for my dad. I was so young and while my parents weren't living together anymore, I still saw both of them." He shrugged. It was amazing what kids could deal with.
"But I can't understand how your parents would have anything to pick on about you." He paused while he fished in his pocket and pulled out a tissue. It was all crumpled up but it hadn't been used and he held it out to Emma. "You're an exceptionally nice person. You've got a sense of humour and you're also a good listener." Not to mention pretty. Even with mud on her cheek.
As for him seeing his half siblings. "I don't know if I'll get to see them. For some reason, mum thinks it's best if we keep our distance from them." He had no idea what happened to her when she had disappeared but any time he asked about the twins she got this fierce look on her face and would ask him to leave it alone. He supposed he had to just trust her.

"Yep!" She stuck her tongue out at him in return. Melek nodded and wince, "I shouldnt have said it..." Mel gave a relief smile and took his pinky, linking it with his and shaking it. "Pinky promise..." She nodded and gave a light smile, "Thanks, Kace. It really means a lot for you not to tell her that I told you... She would hate me so much..."How come he is so nice? He is a good friend... and he is kinda cute as well... but he probably likes someone else... and why wouldnt he? I am just a stupid, silly girl who cant do anything right and I dont have looks either... I am just plain looking... but he probably doesnt look at looks... but then again he is a guy... but maybe he is different... maybe he really did look only at personality...
She smiled as he was saying that it was okay and that nobody was perfect their first time. Melek nodded, "Okay..." Mel watched him as he picked up the frisbee, wondering how much more embarrassing this will turn out to be... He already saw her crying and now she cant even do this simple game right!
Melek gave him a small smile as he walked towards her. She tried to hold back a blush as he touched and was moving her hand. Mel nodded, "Pointer outside... thumb below... got it." Melek tilted her head, "Throw and release?" As she said it, Kace had thrown the frisbee, perfectly. A sigh escaped and she looked at him, "Do you think I will ever get as good as you?" Melek took out her wand and accioed the frisbee over then replaced her wand in the holster. Mel did as he had said to do and it flew better and a little farther but not as good as what he had done.
"It is fine, do not worry...and i do not think she would hate you." he said thinking that was a little too extreme. As he was holding Melek to try to show her how to throw a frisbee, he noticed she was blushing and he broke contact. "OH i am soo sorry. Are you okay with this, me showing you?" he asked her.

"Yeah, it certainly is easier on a person if they're younger and can't remember it as well.. I'm sorry it was hard on your father though.." Emma replied, her voice soft. It was always hard talking about her life, but even harder seeing the pain in others.
She smiled, grateful to know that at least someone didn't find a bunch of faults about her. "Thank you so much, Michael. That means a lot to me, really. You're very kind." She watched him carefully as he handed her a tissue. Oh. There must have been something on her face. She wiped off the dirty culprit immediately upon finding it on her cheek. There. Much better.
Oh how sad. It had to be awful not to be able to keep in touch with his siblings. She couldn't even imagine what he was going through. "Oh. I'm so sorry, that must be really hard to deal with sometimes."
"Well, I'm glad that you've gone through life without want.. at least materialistically speaking.." Emma smiled, laughing when he mentioned his wild side.
"I suppose that's where the Griffindor comes out, eh?" She giggled, thinking back to when she had first been sorted, desperate to be a Griffindor like her mother. It was okay though, she had come to terms with being sorted into Ravenclaw, the tower was now like a second home in itself. "Ooh! A ferret? I looooove ferrets! I always wanted one!" Emma exclaimed, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink when she realized exactly how loud her outburst had been.
"Oops. Sorry."
Now it was time for the main event: Fishing.
"First one to catch anything gets a chocolate frog!"

And then he was getting looks. Gryffindor nature? Was he implying something, just because she hadn't wanted to get wet?
Flashing another grin, she tried to inconspicuously draw the outline of a clockwise circle over the lake with her wand, followed by a counterclockwise one. Another flick of her wand, and it was hurtling towards the back of Airey's head.
"Enough fight for you, prof?"

Much time had passed since Cutty had gotten himself into the lake. When he finally emerged, he broke the glassy surface of the water looking a bit the distempered selkie with his pale skin and dark hair, which appeared an oily black in it's moistened state. Step by step, the Slytherin boy left the lake behind him rising up as his water soaked clothing clung to his skinny little body. He wrung out his clothing as much as he could and thought about his shoes. He took in his surroundings and chose a moment he thought no one was looking to remove the trainers and toss them into the lake before heading back to the castle barefooted and still quite soaked. Time for a run.
Adelaide continued to make her way around the lake. It was the perfect place to do some running to get her back in shape. All the sweets and just sitting around all summer had made her a little slow on her feet. She didn't need to be slow during quidditch season. Nope. Because she wanted to win this term.
Addi stopped to catch her breath, looking around. The lake was quite busy which made sense. It was such a nice day out and it was a good place to spend time. A couple more laps and then she'd actually have a seat and enjoy it. But a few more minutes rest before she started again.
"The trouble with a binding charm is that if you back underwater... you'll want to have a really solid bubblehead charm in place first. Could be really dangerous, because you're just stuck there, you know?" It sort of lost its sparkle when Mo considered that he might drown in the process.
As for bait... "Fish fingers, I think. With tartar sauce. Maybe some chocolate milk." Because, y'know, Barty Henry struck Mo as a chocolate milk type of Giant Squid. "So, Romaletti Asher. You're a seventh year?"
Asher hadn't even thought of that. He would have drown, maybe. He nodded that would be another problem, water safety. "There are many other ways of breathing under water. Gillyweed? Maybe?" You wouldn't look your best with gills and webbed hands and feet.
Hey that sounded pretty good right now. "You think?" Bart would need a side, chips, maybe and a desert? A brownie. "With chips and a brownie?" Yeah because he deserved a full course meal. Yeah.
Asher laughed. Yeah, that sounded like the name he had told Mo."Oh, you can just call me, Asher and yeah. I'm a seventh year. You?'

"Yeah you did do it!" he said and he was glad she was happy. He saw her run over and get the frisbee. Then he saw her throw it and it landed a few feet in front of him. Not quite into his hands but it was at his feet. "Uhhh...that was better! You can open your eyes!" he told her.

He was making this very difficult for Hannah and she was not liking this at all. Didn't he understand that she never did things like this and the fact that she had even mentioned anything to him was major? UGH! This one was so not worth the headache, but she couldn't help but to see her little brother in him and that was what kept her there. "Being scared is not a trait I possess." Really? Yeah, she didn't want to get into trouble. Who would? She however was never scared.
"Do you think I would joke about something like this?" she said getting irritated all over again. "Do I look like somebody who goes around and tells people that?" She had done some awful things in her 6 years at Hogwarts, things much worse then simply taking away someone's teeth. She didn't have a heart. Of course she did. She just didn't waste using it on just anybody. "I'd have to disagree with you on that one."

Gus croaked once as Adi moved him closer to Hannah but thankfully she talking again. Did she really expect him to believe she didn't get scared? He snorted in haughty derision. "Right,'' he said sarcastically and now holding his toad over her head. "You're fearless.''
His handful of frog hovered. Dropping Gus on her head seemed too mundane. Adi grinned wickedly as he thought of dropping it down her robes instead. Gus would easily fall out eventually. He placed his index finger on his lips with his right hand to indicate to Gus to be quiet. Who he understand? Adi focused on getting Gus closer to Hannah's neck as he replied to her. "How would I know?'' he asked hoping he sounded rude. She deserved nothing but rudeness...and a little toad down her back. "I think there's some ind of catch here. You trying to be nice and all.'' Right. He was close enough. He pulled her robe around the shoulder area as he hurriedly placed Gus on her neck. His smart toad did just what he had hoped. It hopped down her from her neck and disappeared into the robe.

For the record, no. She didn't want to use her own bra as a sling shot. Not with this kiddo.
But the pantsing did have the desired effect. Definitely. Her lips parted in a grin, but it didn't take long for the boy to take his present water balloon and break it onto her head. Aaaand it managed to get her hair/face/shoulder region pretty wet, of course. She blinked hard once and pushed her hair back from her eyes, but she couldn't say that this got under her skin at all. After all, it was nice out. And there was nothing wrong with some water balloon battles.
Just not when her bra was used as a sling shot, that's all.
She really couldn't contain a laugh, though, when she watched the boy waddle away with his pants at his knees, in the process of yanking them back up again. Haaaaah.
Now the girlfriend-but-not-really-the-girlfriend was looking a little exasperated. It was meant to annoy the boy, though. Schuyler had no qualms with her. She wasn't stealing her undergarments.
Schuyler's eyes trailed over to Professor Flamsteed, whose expression was actually pretty priceless. She bit back a grin but mostly failed. Was it still functional? She had the urge to answer no, just to get a little more amusement out of her professor squirming over his student's bra. But in the end, she decided to spare him much more discomfort. "It will be," she nodded. "Once I wash it very thoroughly." Get all the dweeb grime off of it.
Alice was here too, but she looked more like an observer than a victim. Right.
Oh, Flamsteed was insisting that the kid apologize? Schuyler turned to get a look at this, but the boy wasn't having it. Well, there was some truth to his words. She'd gotten him back on the train. And today. They were even.
"I think it's common for Lions to get peanut butter tongues when having to say sorry," she shrugged, guilty of it herself. Maybe the pride thing.
She threw the boy a look, though. "But quit stealing my underwear. That's pervy."

The croaking distracted her for a moment and she glared at the disgusting toad. Why on earth would anybody want one of those? when Aid spoke Hannah turned her attention back on him again. "I'm glad you finally agree." Although, she was pretty sure that Adi was being sarcastic, but she would take it.
He was right. How would he know? He didn't know anything about her and that was one of the main gripes that she had about him when he kept trying to put his nose where it didn't belong. "Exactly my point, you wouldn't know so you couldn't honestly sit here accusing me of being any kind of way." Sheesh! Here she was trying to do the right thing and here he was giving her the third degree. Was is just here or was Adi getting extremely close to her? "Why does there have to be a catch? If I was going to do something I would have already acted on it." What did she have to do to make him believe her? "And furthermore..." but Adi would never hear the ending of that sentence because all of a sudden Hannah felt something on her neck and she froze in horror as she realized that it was that annoying croaking toad. "What do you think you are doing. Get that thing away from me." It was too late. Hannah was barely able to finish her sentence before she felt the toad hop down her robes. Her eyes widened in horror and she immediately began to freak out.
"AHHHH!!! Get it off, get it OFFFFF!" she screamed at the top of her voice while flailing her arms about in every which direction. She could feel the slimy texture cross her body with every new leap. This was horrible... this was torture. "ADDDDIIIII. You better get this thing off of me and quick if you know what's good for you!!!"

"Exactly my point, you wouldn't know so you couldn't honestly sit here accusing me of being any kind of way." Sheesh! Here she was trying to do the right thing and here he was giving her the third degree. Was is just here or was Adi getting extremely close to her? "Why does there have to be a catch? If I was going to do something I would have already acted on it." What did she have to do to make him believe her? "And furthermore..." but Adi would never hear the ending of that sentence because all of a sudden Hannah felt something on her neck and she froze in horror as she realized that it was that annoying croaking toad. "What do you think you are doing. Get that thing away from me." It was too late. Hannah was barely able to finish her sentence before she felt the toad hop down her robes. Her eyes widened in horror and she immediately began to freak out.
"AHHHH!!! Get it off, get it OFFFFF!" she screamed at the top of her voice while flailing her arms about in every which direction. She could feel the slimy texture cross her body with every new leap. This was horrible... this was torture. "ADDDDIIIII. You better get this thing off of me and quick if you know what's good for you!!!"
He was going to get it big time.

"I think it's common for Lions to get peanut butter tongues when having to say sorry," she shrugged, guilty of it herself. Maybe the pride thing.

He couldn't help but giggle hearing Bra girl say she had to wash it, "I cleaned it before using it. I can clean it again if you need to." He pulled out his wand to do just do that if she wanted. Yep he knew that spell well he cleaned plenty of classrooms for detentions. He even did laundry with house elves for punishment so one bra easy.
Now he was looking at bra girl weird, "What is peanut butter tongue?" He had never heard of that before it just sounded weird, but she didn't seem to care that he wasn't apologizing so that was good, because he wasn't. Watching Alice hit Professor Cool Dude in the head, "BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Way to go Pret.. I mean ALice. Will you teach me that?" He really wanted to learn that spell. It could be so much fun. His eyes then snapped to bra girl.
"Pervy.. I'm not Pervy.. " He huffed and stormed near her. Before she could react he grabbed her shoulder pulling her down a bit since she was taller than him and kissed her.

As he did he grabbed the bra and then took off, "Now this would be Pervy" He put it on and started dancing around all goofy until he got closer to pretty. "Do you think I'm Pervy?" He laughed and threw the bra over her head before jumping and kissing her as well.

Now he was rolling with laughter. What did they think of that huh? Pervy he wasn't Pervy, he was Bart and he wasn't afraid of any of them.

Adi had taken about two steps when Hannah opened her loud mouth again. He stopped and turned towards her, glaring. "Gus isn't nasty,'' he snarled. Did she want him to put the toad on her again? Because he would have no problem with that. "Say that one more time or anything like it and I'll put him on you again,'' the Hufflepuff threatened. He meant it. He turned and walked off towards the rocks, not bothering to answer the question.

Could Miss Fischer not talk about female undergarments, please? He was trying his best to ignore the fact that he had seen one belonging to one of his students AND a pair of underwear belonging to another. It was just...too much for one day, alright? So he was just going to ignore the female undergarment talk.
That is until Miss Emmons answered his question about the functioning value of her undergarment. "Righto..." he said as he slinked off to the side with both hands behind his back. Just going to keep to himself over here.... "I'm actually allergic to peanuts." Because that was clearly applicable to her peanut butter tongue comment.
And, by the way, he was the one feeling pervy in this whole situation. Awkward.
He didn't even flinch when he essentially walked right into Alice's orb of water. In fact, it was almost welcoming considering how hot he was feeling. His face even looked flushed by this point. He would have even rewarded the girl with her impeccable aim had it not been for what happened next.
"Alright THAT is MORE than enough," he said in an almost frantic tone - complete with arms waving all about. His limbs almost looked as though they were made out of rubber the way he was flailing, actually. And while the logical thing would have been for there to be punishment for stealing undergarments in the first place, but shh. "Mr. Bart," he said, looking at the boy while water dripped off the edge of his nose. "Stealing is not acceptable. Nor is taking without permission. You should have, er, at least left Miss Emmons a note that you were going to....er...borrow *cough* said lady support garment." Cue a sort pause for some fidgeting and rocking back on his heels. "Not only did you steal such an, um, intimate article of clothing, but your display of, um, indecent exposure of the lips just now was also inappropriate." And it better not distract the Quidditch Captain from her tryouts in ANY way. "I hate doing this to my former house, but I will be taking 5 points from Gryffindor."

Hard, very much so. "But not all of us are good at it. My nonna is, and my aunt Lily and my aunt Delilah, but my mama's not the best cook and none of my brothers can cook a lick except for Gianni."
Cat pushed the grape into her mouth and nodded as she chewed. "Food lovers are always appreciated at Moretti houses." She added, after the grape was gone. "Paris was beautiful and it was fun too cause I got to learn a whole new style of cooking and baking." And. "And Mo was just down the street, so we got to explore the city too."
Delilah nodded. She'd never met anyone who was so enthusiastic about cooking before. Heh. Everyone in her family could cook.. except for her. Maybe she just needed to try again. That's what her mom had suggested, anyway. Yeah. Maybe next summer.. Next summer. She would be HOME! She'll get to see all her friends (she really did miss them), go swimming in the ocean and laze around on the beach all day.. Yep, it'll be fun.

Alright. Processing. Airey's brain was doing that right now. Processing while his eyes were gawking at the scene in front of him. He was seeing a female student's bra while said female student had caused the young man to lose his pants and made the astronomer see the boy's underwear.
He should do something, right? Some sort of disciplinary action...but he was quite literally frozen in place with all the TMVI (to much visual information) he had just received.
He glanced at the female Gryffindor (Schuyler/Cedric) and was trying REALLY hard not to look at the bra in her hand. REALLY hard. "Is...it...still...able to function?" he asked, pointing at the bra before averting his eyes to the ground. It hadn't broken or anything, right? Please let the response to that inquiry be no. He didn't want to be faced with the possibility of needing to mend a student's undergarments.
Eyes moved across the ground to Miss Fischer when she spoke. Looking at the quidditch captain was much better than looking at a bra.
"Criminal is a bit harsh, wouldn't you say?" he chuckled nervously. The boy did remind him A LOT of himself as a student. Had even pulled the same stunt with bras his first year. Only it had been inside. In the Gryffindor common room. To seven years when they came walking in from a lesson. "Nonsense, a Gryffindor is never without any fight in them. Goes against our very nature!"
Grinning, he moved his floating orb of water around in the air and flung it in the boy's direction. Should get his undivided attention, right? Heh.
"Not so fast, young man," he said, trying his best to put some authority into his tone. "You need to pick up the bits of broken water balloon before you go stomping back to the castle. Don't want the Groundskeeper to tie you to a stick, freeze you, and then eat you up like a popsicle now, do you?"
He glanced sideways at the young Ravenclaw (Brynn/emjay). "And an apology to your friend is also in order here for getting her wet," he continued. "And...you should also apologize for borrowing without permission this young woman's lady support garment."

"Mr. Bart," he said, looking at the boy while water dripped off the edge of his nose. "Stealing is not acceptable. Nor is taking without permission. You should have, er, at least left Miss Emmons a note that you were going to....er...borrow *cough* said lady support garment." Cue a sort pause for some fidgeting and rocking back on his heels. "Not only did you steal such an, um, intimate article of clothing, but your display of, um, indecent exposure of the lips just now was also inappropriate." And it better not distract the Quidditch Captain from her tryouts in ANY way. "I hate doing this to my former house, but I will be taking 5 points from Gryffindor."
Brynn didn't know whether to say something or run away or what. She was feeling all sort of awkward, but she was still dripping wet and was waiting for the professor man to dry her off, so she stood there, frozen in place with her cheeks burning bright red. She watched the scene further unfold, listening to the adult as he tried to get things under control, then her eyes snapped to Bart who was finally back to a more modest state. Apologize? "Oh.. no, it's okay," she started, finally speaking up, then looked over to Bart who addressed her. Really, it was more that she was startled by the sudden cold water than anything else.. and annoyed that it was a sneak attack instead of a fair fight. Water balloon fights were fun, but Bart went about it a stupid way. She shrugged a little to his question. "No.. just wasn't expecting to get wet like that. Next time fill me in, huh?" Yeah, they could have a proper water balloon fight, without other people's underwear, and maybe using that cool spell. Ohmigosh! Then the girl that Bart was always staring at made her own water balloon with that spell at threw it at the professor's head. Brynn wanted to laugh but wasn't sure if it would be rude or not so she bit her lip to quell the giggles threatening to escape.
Honestly though, even with that cool spell and all, Brynn was still feeling awkward and was ready to go back inside now, but was still hoping the professor would dry her off with that hot air charm she saw him use on himself. He had offered but understandably had been too distracted by lady support garments. Watching him carefully, the redhead opened her mouth to ask him to do so when...

She stared at him, her mouth agape as he walked over to her. No kisses for her? NO SHE DIDN'T WANT ANY KISSES. But then he did, on the cheek, making her blush even more. What was going on? She should have left long before now, drying charm or not. Her widened eyes turned from Bart and the two teenage girls to the adult man now as he started freaking out. And his frantic tone didn't put her any more at ease so she simply watched in shock or horror.. she wasn't sure what to call this anxious feeling. Points? Oh no.. Bart lost points, that was bad.
The situation had escalated so quickly, making the first year very uncomfortable. And she wanted nothing more than to just hide in her room for a while, so while everyone else seemed preoccupied with the situation at hand, Brynn slipped away quietly to head back to the castle. Forget the drying charm, she'd dry eventually.
