Ana took the Chocolate Frog from Lux gently, before proceeding to tear the wrapper off. She held the Chocolate From firmly before she bit off it's legs. Now it couldn't hop away from her. Take that Chocolate Frog. It couldn't escape this time. Mwahaha. Ahem.

"Cucumber?" Ana questioned. That sounded like an awfully strange nickname for somebody to have. Not that she was being judge-y or anything. She was just a bit shocked, is all. "And I'm glad it's easier," she added, slightly belatedly, in reference to the younger girls first statement. Much better to have someone remember a nickname than to get her name completely wrong.

The girl look younger than him. Maybe two or three years behind him but he might be wrong because he never good at guessing games. And he never seen her around Hogwarts then again he's away for two terms.

She doesn't mind? Cool!

The seventh year sat down next to her. "I'm Messer by the way." He said introducing himself.

Snacks? Oh. Right. "I got..." He opened his bag "Chocolate frogs, gummy bears, gummy worms and chips." Messer took out the contains of his bag and put it on the ground. "So which one do you want?" Smile.

Jeremy had leaned his back head back against the tree, and gotten in the most comfortable position possible when he became aware that there was someone standing really close to him. Like borderline on top of him because the person was so close. Jeremy looked up, squinting his eyes slightly because the position of the sun being behind what he noticed was a girl. Her spot? Jeremy looked around at all the other empty spots around the tree and the lake in general before looking back at the girl.

"I wasn't aware that Hogwarts reserved spots for students on their grounds," Jeremy said with raised eyebrows. Maybe if she had asked more nicely if she could sit there, Jeremy would be more inclined to move. His eyes shifted towards the backpack that she was clutching, what he thought kind of possessively, to her chest. How odd…

"There's plenty of room around the tree. I'd be more than happy to share the space with you." Jeremy offered after a moment. Jeremy was a pushover really…even when he tried to be a jerk it never really ended up working out well.

Watching Ana go for the frog legs first, Lux quickly followed suit and put the whole thing in her mouth at once so that it could not hop away from her. Goodness, they were so yummy and she was sure she would end up weighing a million pounds when she was older what with all the Chocolate Frogs she ate on a regular basis.

"Mmmmm," she said in reply to the question as she finished up the bit of chocolate she was still eating before swallowing. "Bay gave me that name because I ate his cucumber sandwich and liked it." It had been a very good sandwich too, so she was still not sure why he had been so amazed over her liking it. She smiled at the last comment Ana made.

Ana finished off the chocolate frog as she listened to Lux's explanation. Well, she supposed that was as good a way as any to get the nickname of Cucumber. And now that she mentioned Cucumber sandwiches Ana could really go for one. Wait, Bay?

"Bay. As in fifth year Gryffindor with a pygmy puff called Ziggy?" Ana questioned, trying to make sure that she was thinking of the right person. If there was more than one person at the school called Bay that she may come in contact with she needed to know. That way she could prepare herself for the likely confusion. And if not then they had a mutual friend.

"Also, why wouldn't you like Cucumber sandwiches? They're delicious," she opined. Cucumbers in any kind were nice, and sandwiches were generally delicious so putting them together equaled epic deliciousness.

So Ana knew Bay too!

"That's him." Enthusiastic nodding. She had even helped him find Ziggy when the Puff had bounced off at the start of Term during the feast. "I love him, he is the best." She loved Bay so much, he was like another older brother to her, and he had told her that she could have more of his cucumber sandwiches and look after Ziggy at times, even having sleep overs with him!

And FINALLY someone who understood! "Thank you, finally someone agrees with me! They are so good." She was so happy that Ana at least had good enough taste to like cucumber sandwiches.

Super speed, huh? That wasn't a bad one. "Why super speed?" she asked curiously. She had a reason of why she wanted to fly. A very, very sweet reason some people found silly or stupid.

The newbie question. So far she's been lucky only two people have asked her that. Thankfully Silver was new as well, so the Gryffindor felt her pain. The other two hadn't been weird about it.

Beverly nodded, twirling a lock of hair between her fingers absentmindedly. "Yep. First year third year." That made absolutely no sense! "First year Hogwartian...as a third year." She peeked up at Kace. Did he get it?

Ana couldn't help but smile fondly at Lux as she expressed her love for Bay. The way she was acting reminded Ana so much of Katya that she couldn't help but feel fondness for this girl that she'd only just met. She just hoped that Lux didn't share any of her sisters less endearing qualities.

"He is great," Ana agreed with a nod to emphasise the statement. He'd complimented her and had shared food with her, so yeah... "Finally? You haven't met anyone else here who likes cucumber sandwiches?" Ana was somewhat shocked by that. She thought it was a pretty normal thing to like. Apparently not though.

True, true. Falling into a lake was never funny, yet neither was being a victim for any prank. That's why you HAD to be the viewer or the pranker themselves, you HAD to and then when you were thats when it got REAL funny and hilarious. "I'd shout at anyone laughing." She'd show them who was boss. MHHHM. She could so do that, dynamite came in small packages did it not? It DID!! "But it be so funny to watch someone else." Even she would laugh if it was someone else, like how could you not? "I think it's possible it is. I mean it always looks perfect." Rumour, maybe? But you actually never knew how much of rumors were truly true.


So nothing special? Abbi remembered her special sign. It was pretty, REAL pretty. It was a glittery sparkle, blooming on her palm but she could make go and come as she pleased, that was when she learned how to control it slightly. "So you had no sign of magic showing at all? I had glittery, pretty things." She was totally not showing off, okay maybe a little. But heh. MILITARY? That made Abbi gasp in shock. "Really? So is he like all BOOM BOOM BOOM." That made sense to her, somehow? But really she meant was he all strong and brave and all boom boom with a weapon you know?

Ohhh. More singing. Would they sing the whole sing? She REALLY wanted to. Mhhm. "And the tears come streaming down your face, when you lose something you can't replace."

Oh, she had found someone else who was fond of Bay! That was amazing, because he and Tessa were the best ever. "He's like my big brother! He gave me a piggy back ride." Her other big brother, since her real big brother was 25 and did not live with her anymore.

Shaking her head at the question, she was rather sad. "No, but they are my favourite sandwiches, and I don't understand why people think they are gross." Cucumbers were very refreshing and tasty!

Vinnie smiled as the boy sat down next to her. He seemed to be older, but older friends could always come in handy. Besides that he wasnt too bad looking. This trip to the lake had definitely been a good idea. The outcome was different but adventurous was Vinnies middle name. Right.

"Hi there Messer", she nodded at him, " i am Vinnie. Messer is kinda a fancy name." Extraordinary for sure and the brunette loved that. Who wanted to be ordinary?!

Chocolate frogs, gummy bears, gummy worms and chips....that sounded like the Slytherins kind of snack."I want some of each if you ask me like that",Vinnie smirked. If he brought all of that stuff they might as well eat it.

Had she expected to end up in a conversation by coming out here, Lily definitely wouldn’t have thought it would have been about falling into the lake. Yet she was, and it was oddly amusing. She chalked that up to her companion, though, because Abbi seemed like she took everything seriously yet also with a degree of excitement. Maybe it was a thing with twelve-year-olds, except she knew there were a few topics she could talk like that about even now. Falling into the lake as a topic was just amusing, though. Actually doing so wasn’t. “Would you?,” she asked, in all complete seriousness. There weren’t many people who would defend themselves like that. It gave Abbi a point in Lily’s eyes. “That’s also true, though.” Probably anyone would have found that funny. Provided whoever had fallen into the lake hadn’t gotten hurt. “You know, wigs don’t always look perfect,” she pointed out, not entirely sure why she was defending the headmistress’ hair. Maybe it was just habit, yet what she said was true. She’d seen some pretty bad wigs before.

At least they hadn’t continued talking about that, although she wasn’t sure magic was much better. In this case, anyway. “I don’t remember. My parents have always said they always knew I’d be magical. Same with my little sister, but I don’t know how they knew,” she said. There weren’t any stories about weird things she’d done as a little kid. “What kind of glittery, pretty things?” She was curious, and she didn’t think her companion had any problem elaborating. A wry grin crept onto her face at the reaction to her talking about her grandfather, however. “Sure. Not as much now that he’s retired, but he’s awesome, anyway.” She had always thought so, even when he was scary.

He’d taught her about Coldplay, after all. She’d found herself smiling again as Abbi had continued singing along with her guitar. Maybe the younger girl did understand her, a little. “When you love someone but it goes to waste, could it be wo-o-orse?,” she added softly. Trying to not to take those lyrics too seriously, even as she felt it a bit too much. They hit a little close to home right now, but she was still hoping that it would get better. It wasn’t the song’s fault she understood it now.

That was definitely cute. Ana figured she'd probably think that a lot if she ever saw Bay and Lux interact with one another. Her older brother would never have consented to giving her a piggy back ride. Sooo unfair. Maybe she'd harass Sasha next time she saw him. He was certainly big enough to still give her a piggy back ride... She was gonna do it.

"People think they're gross?" Who were these people?? They needed an education in cucumber deliciousness. Because like, they were the best. Especially the ones that were cut into tiny triangles. "I like having them for afternoon tea," she told Lux as she lay back down again, turning her head so that she was still facing the younger girl.

Lux really really wanted Bay now after all this talk about him. :/ She had no idea where he was though, and she was not even in his House so she could not see him in the Common Room.

"Bay thinks they are gross." She had no idea what Tessa thought of them, but Tessa was simply awesome regardless of her like or dislike of cucumber sandwiches. "Oooh, I want some now. And I want to read The Hobbit some more." Because she still had Addi's copy.

Did he really now? A slightly evil smile came across Ana's face at that news. "I'm so going to feed him some in disguise and tell him that they're a Russian delicacy!" she exclaimed, trying to figure out how she could make a cucumber sandwich look like something else. Not that Bay would know what a Russian delicacy looked like anyway so it'd probably be pretty simple to do... But that was for later.

"The Hobbit? That's the book that comes before the Lord of the Rings trilogy isn't it?" Ana asked Lux. She'd never read it personally but she had read the Lord of the Rings before so Ana was pretty sure they were by the same person. "The movies they made for it are pretty good as well," old by now but did Martin Freeman or Benedict Cumberbatch ever make anything together that wasn't amazing?

Oh my goodness....

Lux gasped as Ana came up with one of the best plans ever. How come she had never thought of doing that to Bay?! Maybe she was too sweet and innocent, lacking the spunk that someone like Ana or Tessa had. "Oh, can I help you do that? Please? I at least want to be there when he eats it." Because that would be so funny to watch.

Errrr.... "Lord of Whoey-Whatnow?" As far as Lux knew, there was only one of the books, so she was startled when she learned that there were others. "You mean I can read about MORE Hobbits?! Or is it the same one?" Same or different, it did not really matter, she just wanted to experience it. "I want to watch the movieees." Flail.

Ana let out a bark of laughter at Lux's enthusiasm. Definitely an adorable kid. "I suppose you me be the Merry to my Pippin young one," Ana said in a very serious voice. "I'll be sure to let you know when I decide to do it. Bay and I have an agreement that I'll introduce him to new foods so it shouldn't take too long before the plan can be put in motion," she informed the girl in a conspiratorial whisper. While this was only going to be a minor prank it was still a plot.

"The Lord of the Rings. It's a Trilogy that comes after the Hobbit. I can lend them to you if you want after you've finished reading the Hobbit," Ana offered. She hadn't read the books in a while but she'd brought them with her just in-case she decided to read them. "And yes more Hobbits. Bilbo is still in the story, as is Gandalf and a few other characters that appear in the Hobbit, but the Lord of the Rings centers around Frodo Baggins, Bilbo's nephew," that was an okay description, no? Covered some stuff but gave no plot points away.

"There are three movies based on the Hobbit, and then another three for The Lord of the Rings. They're all pretty good. You should definitely watch them if you have time," but probably not at Hogwarts because they probably wouldn't work here. Unless you could watch movies in the technology center? Could you do that? Ana kind of wanted to find out.

EEEP! EEP! Bounce.

Lux had no idea who Merry and Pippin were, but she was going to assume that they were Hobbits which made them really awesome. "I am so Merry! I am an awesome Merry!" She had no idea who Merry was, but it did not matter because she had another nickname, and she was plotting with Ana. "Oh, okay! And he thinks I'm too little and cute to do anything, so I'm safe too." Oh, this was going to be so much fun.

"Oh, wow! That sounds so cool! Please let me borrow it. You are so nice." Goodness, everyone was so nice! Ana and Addi were so nice to her, lending their books out for her to read. "I promise I will take good care of them." She crossed her heart over that, because she was totally serious about it. "And I wonder if I can watch those movies in the Technology Center. Wow, six movies to watch!"

Ana's smile just grew wider at Lux's enthusiasm. Seeing as she hadn't read the Lord of the Rings the girl didn't even know who Merry and Pippin were. But they were thick as thieves so that was the important part. "I'm sure you'll be a very good Merry," Ana confirmed. "You'll find out all about him when you read the books." Bay thought Lux was too young to get into mischief? Clearly he had no younger siblings. But that could work in their favour as he wouldn't suspect Lux of plotting with her. "That will definitely come in useful. Also, you shouldn't tell anyone else about our prank, just in-case it gets back to Bay," Ana figured Lux wouldn't tell him herself but she could let it slip to someone who would. Better to warn her against it just in-case.

"It's okay if they get a bit damaged. I have another copy at home that I haven't used before if anything does happen," she reassured. Lux might be careful with them but she could have an accident and she didn't want her to think she would get angry if anything did happen to them. "I don't know if you could watch them in there. You might have to ask the Professor. It'll take you a while to get through all the movies though. They're all pretty long movies," Ana mused. Although, if the girl had a day off or went in on the weekend she could probably finish them in that time.

Adelaide shrugged. "A bit of everything. I mostly bake so brownies, cookies, cakes, that sort of thing." Sure she cooked and stuff too. But not as often. Especially with being back at school and having the house elves to feed her. She nodded flipping through the older notebook. "Yeah they are nice. I'm trying to keep them too...just in a more legible way." Because being able to read recipes was a good thing.

She smiled as he sat under the tree with her. "So what brings you out this way today?" Curious as always.

"Nice to meet you, Vinnie." He gave the girl a smile. Fancy? Wow. That's a first. "Thanks." GRIN! "And so is Vinnie. Its very pretty name." Kinda like her. Because she's pretty and all.

Chuckles. "Sure. Be my guest. You can have them all if you want. I don't mind." Truly. "Beside I can't all of these alone. I might end up in the Hospital Wing." And he didn't want that. Sick because eating too much candies? Can you imagine?

"So, what year are you in?" She looked a few years younger than him. Maybe she's a fourth or fifth year? And she definitely not a Hufflepuff because he never saw her in the common room.

Hearing that she would make a really good Merry had Lux feeling really good even if she had no idea who he was. Clearly he was awesome, and that was all that mattered to her. "Does he do a lot of cool things? Like Bilbo?" She was curious even though she was going to read the books. "Awesome! And I promise I won't tell anyone, not even Tessa." She knew that Tessa would not let anything slip to Bay as she was a prankster herself, but a promise was a promise, so no one else was going to know about there little joke on Bay.

"Oh, that makes me feel a lot better for if something happened." Lux liked Ana because she was nice, but an angry older girl could be rather scary, and she did not want to get into trouble. Now she was relaxing, because she knew it would not matte; but she would still try her best to look after the books anyway, as she was taught that it was right to take good care of anything borrowed from others. "Oh, I hope the Professor is nice and lets me! I've never met her before." Not properly at least. She had seen her around, but never had an actual conversation with the woman.

You could tell that Terry was one of those nature loving people when one of his favourite spots was out in the grounds sat under the shade of the towering beech tree. It was unusual to have a tree of this kind in Scotland, they were usually considered non-native and removed in favour of those trees that would usually be there. But it was quite a nice site and it definitely offered a great spot to relax so he wouldn't complain.

Today was one of those days in which Terry had wanted to spend it outdoors. He followed the path across the grounds and stopped once he had reached the old tree. He took his jacket off, despite it being a little chilly, Terry had started to not really feel the cold and he would rather not get his trousers wet on the dewey ground. He sat himself down, leaning against the trunk of the tree and looked around.

He wasn't really in the mood for reading having spent the majority of last term studying his textbooks and so instead he closed his eyes and listened to the sounds around him. It was fairly quiet, there weren't too many people around which he was grateful for. It wasn't very relaxing when there were a hundred voices all speaking at once.

Maybe if he sat here for long enough, someone might come and join him?

Strolling. That's what Alec was doing. Taking one long, leisurely stroll in the grounds.

The boy felt that a break was needed right now, especially since he had spent most of the past hour cooped up in the library. Studying wasn't great but very necessary for this year, as his Dad constantly reminded him. So... he was on a break. A well deserved break, according to the seventh year.

With his hands dug into his pockets and his converses making squelching sounds on parts of the wet ground, the Hufflepuff headed over towards a tree. A beech tree. Was this here before...? He wasn't sure. And if it had been, it had been completely missed by him. His eyes then landed on the wooden box near the tree, one that he definitely knew wasn't there before. What was in there? Books? He scrunched up his face a little. Did he want to get away from reading textbooks only to read--

... Wait... Was that...?

Alec tilted his head and looked over at the boy sitting down on the ground, a curious expression spread across his face. He looked like... no. Was it? This guy was the same build as the person he was thinking about. And then there was the hair. The hair was looking blonde and good, as always. A slow grin spread across Alec's face as the realisation sunk in. It was DEFINITELY who he thought it was.

He had to play this... smoothly. Deep breaths... He ran over, sliding on the ground at the last minute and wrapped his arms around the younger boy in what he hoped would be a tackle!hug. Just hugging. Bro hugs.

Hey there. GRIN.

Ah this was definitely relaxing. Just the mumbles of the students that were hanging around by the tree and the slightly chilly breeze of the wind. He could definitely waste a couple of hours being here. Or there was quite a significant chance of him falling asleep and not actually waking up until it was dark and he'd be abandoned in the grounds.

Yeah. That had better not happen.

The Slytherin was still holding out that someone would hopefully come and join him, even if it was for a short while and to prevent him from falling into a deep slumber in a very public place. He kept his eyes closed as he leant back against the trunk, absorbed in his own thoughts about what would happen next year. Scary stuff. Exams and being left in the big wild world. He wasn't sure if he was ready, maybe he would be next year?

But suddenly Terry felt himself almost tumbling over as something, or someone rather crashed into him. He opened his eyes to see who it was when he felt himself being pulled into a bro hug. His eyes found Alec and he couldn't help but chuckle in reaction. "To be honest that's probably the best greeting I've had today" he responded with a laugh and holding out his fist ready for a fist pump. "Hey mate" he smiled. As far as good company went, Alec was quite high up.
