Located next door to Professor Flamsteed's office, the Astrophysics Laboratory is strictly off limits to unsupervised students and the door has been charmed locked. You could try to remove the charm, but that would not be very wise on your part as you would walk away with lime green eyebrows that won't fade for days and hair growing out of your ears down to the floor. On occasion, Professor Flamsteed will hold special laboratory lessons and assign homework that can only be completed by using this room. Those wishing to use the laboratory MUST do so under Professor Flamsteed's supervision.
The laboratory consists of 20 hardtop wooden tables with cushioned stools. On each table you will find a microscope and other forms of equipment to help students with their scientific research. The shelves on the walls are neatly organized with books, flasks, jars of powdered elements, and everything an aspiring astronomer could think of.

Yaaay time to go and make her planets. Grace was excited about that. Astronomy was starting to become her favourite lesson. That was why she wanted to go and do her planets, so that she could show the professor how good she was at the lesson. She hurried up to the astrophysics lessons, a big smile on her face. As she walked into the room, she went to collect her glass box, before heading over to one of the desks. She wasn't too sure what to do first. She wanted her first planet to have at least a moon. But she figured that she would at least do the other planets first. After placing her glass box onto he table, she headed to go find some foliage and stones.
She hummed to herself, as she picked out all the foliage that she needed. She tried to choose as many different colours as she could, so that her different planets would be lots of different colours. That would look really pretty. Heading back over to her desk, she separated the foliage out into four piles, which would become her four planets. Picking her Mortar up, she carefully put the foliage in, before adding the small stone, and the scoops of iron. Andd then it was time to grind. Grindd Grinddd Grinddddd Grinddddd.

Planets were pretty alright which was why for once in her life Abbi actually decided to complete her homework. It didn't take her long to enter the Astronomy Tower and then eventually the laboratory, in fact it took her faster than usual.
Inside the lab she got all her things ready at one of the working places and then eventually peeked at her sun and planet through their container. "Sizzling hot thing you are, sun." GET what she meant there? "Bet the ladies and planets luuuurve you." Giggle. She gave the container a hug.
Some love you know? Heh. She was surprised that thing was still burning.
Anyways, she had things to do. "As a gift I'm going to make you more planets today?" OKAY SUN? Yes. Like it could talk in the first place.
The second year grabbed some foliage and a stone then got to work feelings REALLY swag in her goggles. Such a G nerd okay? Her stones and foliage were placed inside a mortar and straight after that two scoops of iron too.
Squiiiiiiish. Squiiiish. The powdering process began.
Only about five WHOLE minutes later she was done and beamed about because it was MAGIC TIME YOH!
"Fingere Elementi!" She jabbed her wand, but nada. SIGH.
"Fingere Elementi!" Her second attempt was still not sucessful. Gosh WORK thing. Why couldn't it? Was she thinking too much about Roda? YES MAYBE OKAY ENOUGH.
One two three. "Fingere Elementi!" Yesssuuuums this time her jab worked and her planet was created. "Hello fella. " She quickly added him to the container with her sun and planet 1.

Ian stared at the rock for a moment and decided he didn't want to crush it into powder. He left it at his work area and went to choose another that didn't strike his fancy as much. He also got a scoop of iron and headed back to his desk. Taking out his mortar and pestle and setting them on the table, he donned his safety equipment.
He placed the three items (not including the nice smooth stone) into the mortar and went to work at grinding them. He started with the iron and foliage. It mixed together pretty well, but was a little less ground than he would have preferred. The problem came about when he went to grind the stone. He didn't seem to have enough strength to crush it. He pushed, and pressed and moved it around the bowl of the mortar, trying to get it to be at least cracked so he could grind it. No matter how hard he pushed and prodded, it just wouldn't break for him. Soon, he was breathing rather hard with the effort and had made the other two items nearly a paste.

"Yeah, I do," the Hufflepuff replied to Ella, enthusiasm evident as the boy's face lit up at all the options available to him; it was easy to find joy in the little things. "I'm gonna have planets in aaaaall kinds of colours." Toby picked out stones in as wide a variety of hues as he possibly could, eventually finding himself with a small handful of pretty colours. There were even more colour choices in flower petals, and a whole lot of green and red leaves. Tobias made sure he had plenty of 'ingredients', and maybe even some to spare (just in case), before shuffling, alongside Ella, back to where his solar system was waiting at a workstation.
Tobias set all the stuff down on the desk, the stones from his hand making pleasant little clanking sounds as he let them roll from his hand onto the surface. Yup, that was plenty. He looked up at Ella and smiled, and sort of paused for a minute.
Because he needed to catch his breath. Because old.
"What're you gonna name your planets?" Toby finally asked with that chipper tone of his, as he rifled through his haul of nature, looking for just the right things. Eventually he settled on a pretty pinkish stone and some pale green leaves. Those were added to the mortar, and then Tobias added two scoops of iron. He picked up his pestle, but didn't start just yet. "I don't think we need to, but I think it'd be neat. I'm sure they'd like to have names."
With that, Toby began to work at the contents of the mortar with the pestle, trying to whack the stone with enough force that it would crack into smaller pieces and he could crush this stuff properly. He was very hesitant about using force, so it was kind of a long process.
Colorful planets. Those were the best kind, yeah? Ella approved to Toby's plan and grinned at him, two thumbs in the air. She was willing to bet some chocolate frogs that his planets would be awesome. Just saying.
And organizing. That's what Ella was going to do first now that she'd returned to where her planet and sun where. She slowly began grouping stones with petals or branches strategically, trying to pair the colors according to what Ella thought looked best. She paused her work only when the younger badger spoke up and she glanced at him, a small smile playing on her lips. "I'm not sure yet? I'll have to do some brainstorming while I'm working on them. But yeah, they definitely deserve names." They were special and unique so why not, yeah?
The eighteen year old eyed her stones again curiously before selecting a reddish-brown one coupled with a piece bark. She cleaned her mortar and pestle before adding the ingredients in there. She then cleaned her spoon and measured out the two scoops of Iron. Now it was crushing time. Oh and goggles, she slid her goggles on. She didn't need anything else happening to her eyes, y'know?
Crush...Crush...Crush....
"What about you, think of any names yet?"
Crush...Crush...Crush...
The stone was pretty hard to crush which didn't bode well for Ella's sore hands. She had to stop several time to clench and un-clench her fist, hoping to ease the pain. Eventually she was able to break it down and luckily the bark broke apart fairly easily, making things a bit more bearable. Now to perform the spell.
Where...was her wand again? Ella frowned slightly and looked around, confused about what might have happened to it. It took a minute or two for her to realize it was sitting just to her right. Had she...mistaken it for a stick? Merlin! She really was losing it!
The Head Girl picked it up lovingly and then concentrated her energy on doing the spell correctly. She could do this, had done it several times before. Deep breath and, "Fingere Elementi!"

He repeated this process twice and soon there were six planets in total. He checked on the sun. It seemed just fine. So...moons. He needed moons. Just how did he make them? Errrrr.........
That's when Lux spoke up. Oh goody! She was asking what he needed to know.
Things were slowly returning to normal and Ben could feel himself relaxing back to the state he had been before the shock. "Its okay," he said to his friend's apology, the other boy returning to normal tone. It hadn't been like some of the others that were constantly loud, just a one time situation that Adi was clearly sorry for.
"Fingere Elementi!'' he cast once more, aiming solidly at his mixture with a jab. This time it worked, the fragments combining into his third planet. Ben was releived to say the least, having been fearful of losing the ability he had thought he had gained. Taking it carefully in his grasp, the Gryffindor set it into his glass jar to let it join the rest and establish a gravitational pull. The boy closing it all up once more as he went to work on the next one.
Ben repeated all the previous steps, taking a piece of foliage and a small stone from the collection the Hufflepuff had set aside and placing it in his mortar after cleaning it. Then adding the scoops of iron and crushing it all up into one concoction that was to be...magical. How else did one describe a little universe that you got to create on your own? When he was finished with his crushing, he picked up his wand once more.

Sander looked over at the Slytherin boy still on the ground. "Almost done. I'll be right there," he called over to the boy.
He turned around just in time to see Tessa walk into the lab. Sander smiled at her in greeting. He was glad that she was finally able to join him and the rest of their friends in the lab with them. He made a mental note to himself to ask her how she was doing with her planets, but for now he was on a tight schedule. His last few planets needed to be made and there was a boy who needed to be helped out.
So Sander turned back to his task at hand.
To make his sixth planet, Sander selected a more healthier, albeit still a dried tree twig. He added it to the mortar, which he had cleaned after making Mordor. Then he measured out two spoonfuls of powdered iron, pouring out the contents into the mortar. Picking up his cleaned pestle, he selected a stone, held it in position between his index finger and thumb inside the mortar, and began breaking up the stone. Once he had the stone into tinier bits, Sander began to mix the bits of stones together with the powdered iron and dried tree twig and began began all three together, until they were all thoroughly mixed together.
It was time to change it into a solid mass. Sander picked up his wand and jabbed at the mixed substances inside the mortar while saying the incantations to the spell, "Fingere Elementi. Like before he watched as the powdered substance began to solidify to form one solid ball before ending the spell.
"I will call you, Lothlorien," Sander whispered to it.
Quickly glancing over at the first year, Sander made sure he was alright before, he began to create the seventh planet for his solar system.
Like before he cleaned his mortar and pestle before picking up piece of leaf that looked like it had been frozen before it dried up. He added that into his mortar followed by a stone and the two spoonfuls of powdered iron. He then repeated the steps of grinding the substances together before casting the spell. Once the bluish white color ball, the size of another raspberry, formed and solidified in the mortar, Sander picked it up, opened a small gap between the lid of the glass container and the container itself and tossed the ball inside, before replacing the lid securely over the container
Then as he watched the newcomer to his solar system zip along together with the other planets and the moon, around the sun, Sander named it, "I call you, Juneau"

Adi glanced over at Benny. "I've finished with my planets. Before you,'' he said with a grin. Of course, the two friends were never racing to get that done but he just felt like letting the other boy know.
However, his grin was short lived for he had caught sight of his glass box and it's contents. His sun...something was wrong with it! Adi scrambled closer and realised its colour had gone from yellow to blue. Hurriedly, he checked his notes to see what that meant. Blue meant hot. Okaaaaay, breathe, Adi. I can fix this. He grabbed his wand and flicked it downwards. "Dextrini Potitus!''
It seemed like nothing was happening. "Dextrini Potitus!'' Flick of the wand downwards. Nope still blue. Maybe he needed to calm down. So, the thirteen year old did some deep breathing and tried again. "Dextrini Potitus!'' Oh, finally! The colour began changing to light blue...and all the way to white mixed with yellow.
Phew! Adi collapsed onto his stool in relief. He'd need to keep a closer watch on his Solar System.
Caelen walked into the astrophysics lab, scratching her forhead and yawning. She was doing this early in the morning, because she forgot to do it last night, okay? And she wanted to do her other homework too. So right now she was doing the astronomy homework.
The redhead could not say that she was sad about the homwork. She really liked making planets in the class, and she wanted to make an actual solar system. Basically, HER OWN solar system. How many kids could say that? Well, everyone in Hogwarts, but still. She could gloat to her brother during summer break. That would probably make him jealous.
Caelen set her already working planet on the desk and grabbed a coat, goggles, and gloves. Important. Those were for safety, yes? And the blue-eyed girl didn't want to lose any of her hands or eyebrows. It was all about the eyebrows. And as she put on the gloves, the kid inspected what she had already done. Something wasn't right. The sun was turning red.
"No, no, no, no." She grabbed her journal out of her bag and quickly threw it onto the table. Because this was important. She had to fix her sun. Flipping through the pages quickly, she found the spell to control temprature. And the actual motion was a jab. Jabby jab jab jab.
"Dextrini Potitus." She watched the sun closely to make sure that she was doing this right. And she may or may not have been silently wishing that this would work. Because Caelen did not want to start over. The redhead realized that she was actually holding her breath a bit.
.....
It wasn't working. It was probably too far gone. Which suuuucked. Because she had to start over. But it worked because she liked to make the actual solar system again. Which she was kinf of excited. She actually liked making the planets. It was like being Dr. Frankenstein. She was making her own little thing. Kind of like a living thing. Okay, she had to start.

"Funny...I'm already ahead of you," he mused, given there were two planets around the Gryffindor's sun rather than the only one around the Hufflepuffs. For the moment anyway.
At the mention of the final needed ingrediants though, he almost groaned were it not for the part about Adi getting enough for them both. Sure enough, on his friend's workstation was a wide variety of items. "....thanks," Benny managed to get out. One less thing he had to get up from in a day he had already been up and on his feet for waaaaaay too long.
Leaving his friend to his planet, the Gryffindor went to work on his own. "Scourgify," he cast on his mortar and pestle to make sure it was squeaky clean. Then onto the planet building. One stone, two folliage...check. Two scoops of iron added in...check. The second year began crushing everything up in the mortar, allowing more time to work so he didn't have to expend too much effort too fast and wind up hurting more.
Finally Ben was satisfied and was about to cast, caught first by the need to find his wand again and then by Professor Flamsteed's KABOOM! The Gryffindor moving faster then he had been as he half-fell, half jumped off his stool in his reaction. Slipping to the floor he couldn't help but wince in pain.

He turned his attention to his mortar once more. Some foliage, a stone and two scoops of iron. And commence Operation Crush! CRUSH, CRUSH, CRUSH that stubborn stone! Finally, when everything was well crushed, Adi grabbed his wand. "Fingere Elementi!'' He watched in awe as the ingredients started to form a ball after jabbing his wand. His third planet in total! He popped it into the box and shut the lid. He'd make three more so he'd have six in all.
And that's when Benny hit the floor. Dropping his wand in surprise, Adi hurried over to his friend. "You okay, dude?'' He held out his hand to help his friend up and to the Professor called, ''Professor! Your LOUD KABOOM! scared Benny!'' Why was the man scaring his students?
Scared? Merlin. What did they make Gryffindors out of these days? Cotton candy? "As long as he didn't break a hip," he replied with a slightly dismissive wave as he walked past. No emergency then he wasn't needed and it seemed as though the two were getting on just fine. "If you need me I'll just be over there..."

Tobias was watching Ella out of the corner of his eye even as he watched the progress of his own work. He was noting particularly how she seemed to have trouble crushing the stuff for too long, and he could totally relate to that. It was all he could do not to keep stopping; but Toby preferred not to let on that he was in any kind of pain, or having difficulty. He did find himself semi-anxiously biting his lip though.
"I'm still thinking up names," the Hufflepuff replied, leaning in a little closer to the mortar so he could squint at the contents and ensure that it was properly crushed. Hm... a little more couldn't hurt. "I wanted to give them all people names, or maybe I'll give them Greek god names, like the way our planets have Roman god names," he added, as he used the pestle to grind the substances down a little more.
That was pretty good. Tobias reached for his wand and pointed it at the powdered elements in the mortar, and took a breath, ready to cast the spell...
...
... and he couldn't, for the life of him, remember what the spell was.
"Uh..." Toby said, blinking stupidly as he searched his memory for what on earth he had been about to do. He knew the outcome of the spell, knew he was making a planet... but what was the spell?
He was about to rifle back through his notes when he heard Ella performing the spell next to him. Yes, yes of COURSE. How could he have forgotten that?
"Fingere Elementi!" Tobias cast, wand still pointed at the powder inside the mortar. He watched as they all morphed and created a pretty little planet with a nice pink tone to it. Tobias smiled to himself, before opening his box and dropping the planet inside. He shut the lid again and watched as this new planet tried to find its own orbit. It was at this point that he noticed that his first planet from class, a slightly larger one, had established a pretty good orbit since the end of last lesson.
"I reckon I'll do four more," the badger said, partly to himself but also partly for Ella's benefit too. He grinned up at her.

Toby's inspiration for name ideas was pretty great and Ella smiled a little, wondering what sort of names she would come up with when she was finished creating her planets. Hopefully ones that were just as creative. Her brain just wasn't as good at brainstorming lately as she'd hoped. It was a bit alarming but she was trying not to dwell on it.
...
She'd done the spell and bit her lip in anticipation, watching how the ingredients in her mortar combined to create a Reddish-Brown planet that had an almost muddy look to it. Like it was made of clay. How interesting! She smiled a little and carefully guided it into the box where her sun and first planet were already housed. Look! She'd created a nice little Solar System family already!
The eighteen year old glanced over at Toby for a second, noting that he'd created another planet too. This earned the him a big smile from Ella as she admired his work. "Nicely done, badger." Seriously. "It's pretty." The pink hue. She really liked it.
Four more? That was a good idea. Ella nodded her head in agreement, "Sounds good to me." She'd do four more too. Could probably use the practice, honestly. Y'know, in case this showed up on the NEWTs.
So another planet. What kind of one did she want to make this time? Hmm. How about...oh! She'd used the golden colored stone and some of the yellow petals! That should produce something pretty. At least she hoped it would. And so after adding the stone and two petals to the now cleaned mortar, she added two more scoops of iron and began the semi-painful task of crushing things up.
Crush...Crush...Crush...Wince.
This wasn't her favorite, y'know? Couldn't give up, though. She still had lots of work to do and so she kept at it, eventually satisfied with the texture of the powder. Then it time for her wand again. Ella picked it up and cleared her mind, concentrating on what she wanted to happen. "Fingere Elementi!" Blink. Blink. ...BEAM! It was lovely. The newest addition to the Solar System was light yellow with darker yellow swirls here and there, almost as if clouds were around the planet. This was probably due to the shading of the petals and the seventh year was pleased with the result as she placed that planet in with the others. So far, so good.

Benny took the tease with a grain of salt, sticking his tongue out at his friend. He'd catch up, just had some distractions by SOME people. One who didn't seem to care much as long as he didn't break a hip. Oooo another oldie joke. Flamsteed himself had a better chance to do so. The second year absently stuck his tongue out again at the professor once the man was completely turned away from him, biting back the urge to comment. He didn't want to get in trouble regardless of how the man made him feel at the moment. Though he didn't think maybe he should look into getting earplugs as too many used loud voices.
Taking a deep breath, to try and lower the tension, the Gryffindor went back to work on finishing up his planets. Two more to go if his calculations were correct. The procedure was beginning to become habitual or repetitive and came to Ben with ease. Two foliage this time he thought, switching it up before adding a yellowish stone and the twin scoops of iron. Maybe it would be a little bigger like his first one cause of the extra foliage. Only one way to find out. He ground it all together just like the other times, pausing to gather his focus when he finished in an attempt to get the spell work right the first time.
The pause worked for the best as he soon became distracted by Adi's freak about his sun where something was apparently wrong. "You okay?" it was his turn to ask as his friend sat back down. The creation seemed back to normal at least to Benny as he looked over.

Caleb had made his sun and one planet in class, which he had decided to name Planet Baldwin, after his crup of course. He hadn't really been focusing much when it got time to make the planets, though, so it was kind of small and sort of irregular shaped. But it was his first planet so he had to keep it!
Grumbling and trying to catch his breath from those stupid stairs again, he grabbed his solar system and set it down at a work station. Ok, right, time to get some foliage and then a stone. He walked over and grabbed a handful of leafy stuff, and a small quartz stone, before heading back to his station. Oh man. So much walking. He needed to sit down...

Crushh. Grindd. Grinddd Crushh. This was fun. Grace hummed a little as she crushed. It was kind of fun. Though her arm was really starting to hurt now. Or ache at least. They ached a lot recently. Especially when she was doing a lot of work. Like she was now. But after a few more minutes of grinding the things had been ground down into a fine powder. That was good because she was tired of grinding down. She peeped in, to just make sure there were no lumps. Nopee. It was a nice orange colour. Orange planet. She liked that. Putting the grinder down, she looked around for her wand. Ahh. In her bag. She picked her wand up. Noww to do her spell. To make her planet. She beamed, looking down at the orange powder. You were going to be a good planet.
Now to just remember how to do the spell. First of all she jabbed at the mortar, before saying the words "Fingere Elementi" andd a nice orange planet appeared. Perfecct. She beamed as she gently picked the orannge planet up, before dropping it into her glass box gently. There we go. Two planets and her sun. That made her happy. Now onto planet number three.
Humming she picked up some blue foliage, and added it to her mortar. Nodding to herself, she scooped two scoops of iron up and added it, along with the small stone. "Grindddd." She giggled to herself, before starting to grinddd. Grindd. Grindd.

UGH Caleb forgot the iron! Didn't he do that during class to? What was wrong with him? His mind was going and if this didn't stop, he'd fail his second year! SECOND YEAR. THAT WASN'T EVEN A DIFFICULT YEAR. HOW EMBARRASSING.
Right, enough complaining, more moving unfortunately...He stood up and walked over to the supply table and took two scoops of iron to add to his mortar. Alright. NOW he had everything he needed.
Smash smash smash. Using as much strength as his old man muscles could muster, he smashed down on the elements as he tried to make a powder. It was the rock that was the tricky part. This was going to take a while...

Okay, so she had to start over. Which meant that she needed a new sun. It was only a little bit more work than she was actually hoping to do, and so she wasn't ANGRY, but she was still kind of ticked. Okay, Here Comes the Sun, as the Beatles said.
Okay, now that she had to start over, the little redhead puffed out her cheeks as she turned the pages of her journal. Because Caelen needed to figure out how to make a sun and she knew that she wrote it down. Because she wrote everything down. It was like the tiny girls thing. You should've seen her room. She had post it notes all over her sparkley walls. When she was five, the girl had started writing a story that was supposed to be about 100 pages long. She got so obsessed with writing it that she was actually STILL working on the story now. It was somewhere around 2,000 pages and made almost no sense.
But anyway. She needed her lab coat and goggles and the right page and the materials. Man, there was a lot of equiptment required for this.
And at least she found the ingeredients for this. Helium and Hydrogen. Simple. Very simple. Perfect.
She grabbed the box and a small container of Helium and Hydrogen. One scoop of Helium. Check. And then five scoops of Hydrogen. Check and mate. Now she just had to perform the spell.
"Fingere Elementi!" Jab. Jab that wand. Because that was actually going to make the planet. And that was kind of important. Because you needed a sun to get the planets. Planets need something to revolve around.
Which made her think about what she would revolve around if she was a planet. Not like JUST the sun, but in her life. Probably Hogwarts. Or her mom. Or Rockwell. He could be cool when he wasn't annoying.
Anyway, sun made. All she needed was seven planets. She really needed some TLC for her sun. She would have to ask how to take care of a aun. And fun fact: that would be the first time she would ever get to say that. And probably the last.

Right. That seemed simple enough. After thanking Professor Flamsteed, Lux placed a few pinches of the iron into the mortar with the stone before starting to crush everything up.
Crush.
Crush.
Crush.
As soon as she was satisfied with her powder, she pointed her wand at it and said, "Fingere Elementi." Opening the lid, she quickly tossed the forming ball in before closing the container again. Her little moon would now orbit around her Merplanet. "I shall call you Mermoon."

Once the new blue planet had begun its orbit, Tessa returned her attention to making the rest of her solar system. Now, the question was, what sort of planet did she want to make next?
She wandered up to the box with various foliage and looked within, her eyes moving over leaves, grass, and petals. Finally, her eyes settled on some red berries. She picked a few up with a smile and moved over to the stones, grabbing one that was larger and reddish. Finally, scooping up the iron, she brought those back to her work station. She shot a smile to her galaxy in the box and then turned her attention to her project.
Her wrist was still hurting from the grinding earlier, so after putting the things into the mortar she used her other hand to begin grinding everything together. It was a strange sensation, using her non-dominant hand. It took a little more time, and now that wrist was just as sore, but everything was ground up.
Now for the... spell?
What was the spell?
Tessa sighed, and rubbing her wrist, went back to her notes. She nodded as she read, finally finding the spell. She cast it "Fingere Elementi!" and watched as there was a whirlwind of red and rust colored particles. Soon, a small reddish planet was hovering before her.

He had completed making his planets. Sander looked at the time and decided he had enough time to clean up his workstation before going over to help the Slytherin boy. He picked up the remaining stones and foliage and returned them back into their respective boxes. Then he cleaned up the mortar and pestle using the Scouring Charm before placing it back where he had taken it out. He tightened the lid on the container containing the powdered iron and left it where he had found it earlier.
Lastly, he checked to make sure that his workstation was clean and the lid of his glass container was securely fastened. Now he it was time for him to help the boy. He shuffled back to the boy and Sander crouched down.
"Okay I'm going to help you up. So don't start yelling again. When I have you upright again, hold onto your workstation with one of your hands. That way you won't fall down again," Sander whispered to the Slytherin boy.
Then Sander placed his hands under the boy's armpits and began standing up, pulling the boy up with him. He could feel his back and knees protesting the added weight they were made to lift up, but Sander gritted his teeth and continued lifting until he was standing upright.

It was time to start working on another planet, but instead of heading back to the foliage, Lux decided that she would be a good mommy and give her solar system some TLC. Leaning forward, she hugged her container and started to talk sweetly to her planets, sun, and moon like they were her babies - which they WERE. Gosh, they were so tiny and cute and she loved them. "You are the prettiest solar system ever, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!"
After a few minutes, she detached herself and went about cleaning her instruments and grabbing another stone and some more foliage. This time she had picked a few leaves and a small stick. In the mortar it all went along with another two scoops of iron.
Crush.
Crush.
Crush.
Pleased with her results, she performed the Fingere Elementi spell and in the container her planet went. "I shall call you Cucumber Sandwich." It was a long name, but now was not a time to be picky.

Grinddd. Grind Grindd. Waiit. She had added all the elements right? Grace had kind of forgotten if she had. Sighing, she put down her grinder thing, and looked in. She thought everything was in there. A bit of smushed up foliage, powdery stuff and a half crushed stone. Yes. That looked like everything. Shaking her head the first year picked up the grinder again and carried on grinding. Grinning, she began singing some random song as she ground. Grind. Grindd. This was getting boring now. Did she really have to do this grinding like another two times? That was annnoying. Her arms were hurting now too. Grindd. Was it done yet? She frowned, looking into her mortar. Nope. Not done yet. Shaking her head, she grinding her mortar some more. "Come onnn." She moaned, pouting a little as she grinded. The other one had gone much faster. Maybe she had put too much foliage into this? That would be bad. She sighed, carrying on grinding.
After another five minutes, she looked into her mortar. "Finaalllly" She groaned, deciding that it was ground up enough. It all looked like a yellow powdery mess. So at least it was kind of all ground up. Putting her grinder down, she picked up her wand. Time to make her planet. Beaming, she jabbed at the mortar before murmuring the words "Fingere Elementi." She was getting quite good at that spell now. Andd booom. A planet. A nice yellow planet.
"Perfect." She beamed, as she picked it up, and carefully placed it into her glass box. She smiled, as she watched the planets and sun in there. It was going good so far, Grace was very impressed with herself.

Tessa peered at her solar system, tilting her head to one side as she tried to figure out what her next planet should look like. She knew it didn't truly matter, but she wanted to have something fun and colorful- something that matched her basically.
She finally walked up to the box and peered within, picking up a purplish berry. It was quite dark, so she picked up one of the red leaves that were also in the box. That would make for a fun color. She picked up a small grey stone and scooped up iron before bringing it back to the mortar. She placed everything within and then slowly began to grind everything together.
What would she name her planets? She still had yet to figure that out... so lost in her thoughts was she that when she looked down, she found that everything was all ground up. However, looking at the mixture, she couldn't remember whether she had put in one scoop of iron... or two? With a sigh, she walked back to the front of the room and got an additional scoop to pour into the mortar. She mixed that in and then looked around for her wand. Was she going to lose her head next? What was with her?
She finally found it and said the spell: "Fingere Elementi!" However, as Tessa watched, the whirlwind of material seemed a little more vicious than usual... and a little bit bigger. She moved away slowly, her eyes widening as everything finally coalesced into a planet that was just slightly smaller than a snitch. However, it didn't stay that way for long...

Okaay. So she had three pretty planets; one blue, one orange and one yellow. They looked really pretty. Andd then she had her sun. And they were all orbiting. Or at least the three planets were orbiting her sun. She liked it. she liked it a lot. She beamed as she looked down at it. Oh. She was getting distracted. She still had 2 other planets to make. Then her glass box would look awesome. And she wanted to make at least one moon. So she better get moving on. Grace returned to her piles of foliage, and picked up the green stuff. She was going to make a green planet now! It was going to look so cool.
Carefully she put two bits of green foliage into the mortar, before adding the small stone. Next in when the two scoops of Iron. She nearly put three in, but remembered that she only needed two. Putting the scooper down, she picked up her grinder, and grinded the stuff together. "GRinddd. Grindddd. GRindddd." She giggled to herself as she began grinding all the stuff together. Perfectt. This was her favorite part.

Adi staaaared after Professor Flamsteed. As long as Benny didn't break his hip? Professor dude seemed to be getting weirder in his old age. However, he grinned at Benny. So childish of him sticking his tongue out like that. Hehe.
Now that his sun was back to normal, Adi decided to get moving on his moons. As he gathered more ingredients into his mortar, he nodded at Benny. "Yep. It was my sun. It got all blue.'' Of course, if the sun died he could just make another one all over again but as weird as it sounded, he liked this sun. He kept an eagle eye on it as he began crushing a small stone and some iron.
When he had crushed enough, Adi grabbed his wand and jabbed it towards the mortar. "Fingere Elementi!" His first moon had formed! How exciting. He looked at it in wonder. This was so cool!
The Puffer repeated this process until he had five moons in total.
Now that she made her sun, Caelen only had to make seven planets. And the hardest part would be crushing the actually stone in the mortor. That was the worst because it required SUPER body strength that the redhead didn't even have. Which meant that she was just using half of her body to attack a stupid stone.
But she did that. Crush the stone, actually. Using all of her body strength and resisting the urge to make those grunts the men in the gym make, she managed to crush the stone. And luckily the foliage was waaay easier. Because it was plants. And plants weren't that hard to crush. Though she DID have to make an effort not to make awkward dinosaur noises while she did that. Luckily she DID manage.
So now she had to crush iron. Wasn't that hard and she crushed it quickly. Bam, she used the spell and jabbed the wand at the creation and she had her first planet. Dumping it into the box with the sun, she watched for a few seconds as it orbited before grabbing the stone.
Crush the stone again and try not to make any buff-guy in gym noises. Crush the stone. She also never understood how a rock, some foliage, some iron and a spelll could create an awesome planet. The redhead would have to research this. But right now, she was ceating planets. More iron and foliage. Done, she almost had two planets down and five to go.
Jabby Jab with the spell. Dump it into the sun box and bam! You had two componants of a solar system. Look how good she was doing. She was on fiiiire with this thing.
