Default Apparition Lessons!

Cale MIGHT have over planned just a bit for his first apparition lesson at the school. When it came to apparition, anything could happen and he wanted to be prepared for it all. He had brought a number of cushions and rings to help the kids practice (and also in case someone fell, you could never be too careful!) as well as a portable swamp for...well, for later. For right now though, just take a seat on one of the pillows. There's plenty of everyone!

He had a nice whiteboard set up behind him so they could go over the practical stuff, and now he was just waiting on the kids and waiting on Missa, his apparition instructor. Once they were all there, they could proceed. He checked his watch anxiously. Any minute now...

Lesson Progress:
OOC: Hello kiddos! Feel free to take a seat and chill for a while. The lesson will begin in approximately 24 hours. You should NOT be allowed to RP in this lesson unless your character WILL BE OF AGE/IS ALREADY OF AGE during the current school term (this includes summer birthdays BEFORE September 1st, the cut off date for each year). Anyone RPing who is not the correct age WILL be kicked out and points docked. Basically, if you aren't a sixth year, you shouldn't be here!

The swamp is set up towards the back of the room, so feel free to have them wonder and ponder over why it's there, but don't touch it! Cale is here, he is watching AND he's a former prefect so don't try anything funny!

Arts TRANSPONSTER!

Since absolutely nothing happened because Sophie had been too excited to focus, she didn't have to back away from the hoop or anything, nor call for help because of splinches or anything. NOTHING had happened because of her lack of concentration.

Come ON, Sophie! Merlin!

This was like nonverbal magic.... and honestly a bit like the magic she could do with some flowers. Those ones didn't have a incantation - or at least she never learned nor used it - and they just worked through her will. Huh! Apparition was kind of like that then, wasn't it??

She could do it, then! Brilliant!

So channeling all of her concentration and magical powers - did that make sense? - Sophie stared HARD at the centre of the hoop. For a brief second she quickly reminded herself of the feeling she had whenever doing the wandless/incantationless flower magic thing and STARED at the centre of the hoop even harder.

It wasn't a particular thought or anything, it was actually... something she felt. She couldn't quite explain it, but it was... from inside. From the gut even. No way she could possibly explain it to anyone. Good thing she wasn't the teacher there.

So after a few moments of hard staring and concentration and reminding herself of the certain feeling she reckoned she should feel and also of the sensation of being pushed through a tight tube whenever she side-along apparated - maybe focusing on the apparition feeling would help too? -, Sophie felt this EXACT thing.

She was suddenly being pushed - though not really - through an invisible, extremelly tight tube and when she realised...... she was losing balance and almost falling over from the centre of the hoop she was staring at just now.

....

She had DONE it!! SHE HAD JSUT SDLKJGNSKJDFLNSDK apparated akdfjnskfjnsdfjkdsf AWESOME MAGIC!!! Merlin, Sophie sure did love magic. MERLIN!!!! That was BRILLIANT!! Could she do it again???

Ooohhh, sad thing she was leaving Hogwarts for good, but on the other hand, she'd be able to do this ALL the time! ALL. THE. TIME!!!!

Merlin, she couldn't WAIT!!

It took several more tries for Ascanius to even begin to feel like he could do the whole apparating thing. He was obviously rubbish at it, which was unfortunate because it would have been a really cool party trick to pull out in a concert setting. Apparation from one drum set to another.

It actually bummed him out that he couldn't seem to muster talent enough to get this thing rolling.

When he was just about to give up he decided might as well try once more. Even if he couldn't do it, once more wasn't going to hurt.

So with a great deal less focus then what he had come in with to the earlier tries he half-hazardly stared at the hoop and decided 'heck, sure, it'd be nice to end up there'. And then it worked.

He felt something pull at him from somewhere deep inside and then it snapped and he was suddenly in a new place. It was a little shaky, the room, and everything was a little blurred, but he could still stand.

Wow. Apparation was kind of weird, yeah?

Like maybe he needed to sit down kind of weird.

curly haired prefect - "sometimes I get angry!" - 30/90 - *chicken emoji* - probably @ Disney - I speak dog

Alright. Twenty minutes were up. Cale clapped his hands and the rings and cushions vanished into thin air. "Alright students! Thank you so much for attending. Be sure to study your notes for the practical portion, and even though you can not concentrate on actually APPARATING within the school, you can still practice focusing and tuning the world out as if you were about to really apparate," he told them, giving them some pointers on how to practice without REALLY practicing. "However, I think you'll find that most of you will be much more successfully after getting it once or twice. Once you unlock that magic...it gets easy," he told them all with a grin. It was true!

"Now, off you go!" he called to them. As they left, he went over and packed up the portable swamp, using his wand to fold it before clearing his throat, standing in the middle of the room, and pointing his wand to the ceiling. He muttered some complicated charms under his breath as he put the anti-Apparition spell on the hall once again.

"Thank you so much for all your help, Missa," he added with a smile to his instructor. He hoped she hadn't been THAT bored - she'd be able to help more next time!

OOC: The testing will open later this afternoon, most likely around 5 PM EST. Get excited!
