Ancient Runes Lesson I Introduction to Runes / Revision
When ic: 12th of October at 8 am. When ooc: 13th of January (@ 10 PM GMT/ 5 PM EST) Where: Ancient Runes Classroom Who: All students. What: Theoretical lesson, Q&A session about Ancient Runes in general. You only need your textbook, uniform, and magical wand for this class.

Ancient Runes Homework I
Solve the following runic transcripts by writing what's in the balloons in English:

- Alec Summers (hermionesclone) is the only student who solved Curse #5 correctly.
- Marcus Branxton (Cassirin) is the only student who solved the entire homework correctly (with glitches in #5 & #7). He followed the method I explained in class and broke the wards until they were merely one or two runes.
Both boys are getting 5 points extra credit and a relief from next lesson's homework.

(Line 2): Algiz (Protection) (Line 2) is actually two lines forming two angles with Line 1;
Line 2a: Mannaz (Creation)
Line 2b: Othala (Stability)
- Pay attention to the runic lines; runic lines have runes lined next to each other without forming any acute angles, they can only be facing up or reversed. Once a rune is askew, it doesn't count as a part of the runic line. For example:
Curse # 2 Line 2: starts at Laguz and ends at Thurisaz.
- Everyone who worked on this homework, very well done! I realize it is not an easy one, I'm proud of every one of you.
Ancient Runes Lesson III Saving The Whomping Willow / Breaking Curses TBC
When ooc: 10th of March Where: By the Whomping Willow, Hogwarts Grounds Who: All students. What: Be sure to quickly revise the previous lesson, this lesson is going to be mainly practical.

For 10 points: If you could cast a curse on something (not someone), what would it be and why would you do it? Please write an essay about this including the curse that you'd cast on that object.
