Used for transportation between cars, the train corridor tends to see a lot of traffic. Don't stay in one place too long or you might just get trampled.
Amelia had been so nervous when she first entered the train station. Her nervousness had only multiplied when she spotted Kaiden. Who she realized never even messaged, called, owled, or sent one of those flashy technological message thingies to tell her that he was fine. So he wasn’t dying.
Good thing she hadn’t told people he might be dead then. But she was mad, increasingly mad at the fact that he hadn’t messaged her after wards or responded to any of the Owls she had sent him inquiring about his health. His entire family didn’t even respond to them.
Still, she was determined to meet new people, make new friends, and find someone to sit in a compartment with. Anyone would do – even a talking cat.

She was officially on the Hogwarts Express. ON THE TRAIN. Because obviously the luggage compartment didn't count, nope. Now she was on the train, now she was on her way to Hogwarts and she was with her best friend. Nothing could make this better now. Except maybe if Dee was here. Or if she hadn't brought Ack. In hindsight, maybe she should have given him to Dee to look after. Merlin knew she could use the company.
"Where should we go?"
Bristol didn't know where you were allowed to go on this train and where you weren't, but she figured standing around in the corridor wouldn't be a great idea. Then again, how would she know? Maybe it was THE place to chill. Only one way to find out, right? "Are we allowed to just ... hang around in the corridor? It looks like most of the compartments are full, or near enough."

Forrest'd lost some of his initial excitement and kept eyeing its cage in case it decided to get clever on him. He hoped she didn't notice his nervous looks--he had heard her threat alright and he didn't want anyone to complete any threats, even though it wasn't really a threat. He shrugged in response to her question, but soon enough she was onto another one.
"Erm..." He seperated his eyes from it with difficulty and looked into hers. "Yeah, I think so. I hung out with Alexa last year. No one warned us not to." If that was what she wanted, he would hang out with her anywhere between the rule limits.
So he sat down right on the spot, leaning on a compartment wall. He figured there would be less traffic there, since they were still close to the head of the train. Forcing himself to look at her rather than on it, he hoped she would talk. He was too busy with his hands and eyes there.
Being her first time on the train, Jessie walked up and down the corridor nervously. What shall I do? She really had no idea. Resting one hand on her hip, and tucking a stray strand of curly blond bob behind her ear, she signed. Well this is just great... She pressed herself against the wall of the carriage to avoid being trampled by a group of people running along the train, obviously looking for people.
Being a first year, and a muggle born at that Jessie had NO CLUE what do do. "Excuse me...?" she asked a passing student, but they just hurried on past. Jessie signed. This is going to be a loooong day.

Elizabeth quickly runs onto the train, not wanting to miss the departure. Seeing another girl, looking as lost as she feels, Elizabeth goes over. "Hello, you look new? I'm Elizabeth, but I really answer to anything! What pet have you got? Sorry I'm asking loads of questions & I don't even know you're name!"

There she did it, she was on the train. This was ridiculous.. She was a seventh year not a first year. She should not be the one crying like it was her first time getting on the train. She wanted a moment to compose herself, but it just didn't seem like it was happening. Other students were everywhere trying to find their own places. She really needed to get it together. She was prefect this term. Some prefect she was starting out to be. Crying and being self absorbed instead of smiling and helping the younger students. "Excuse me.. pardon me" Was there always this many other students in this corridor. She hadn't ever really noticed, but she never had to go all the way to the front of the train either.
Clutching her things she tried to move around the other students, but there was just to many of them and she needed to get to her compartment as quickly as possible, hopefully she could be the first in there so she could stop crying, fix her make up, and be smiling when the others arrived. Trying to push nicely push around other students Minerva finally lost her patience with her emotions running wild. "Move out of my way.. Prefect coming through.. Find your compartments so the train can leave." She said to a few that just seemed to be in the middle of the corridor. Honestly were these kiddos going to find places to sit or not. They probably had parents to wave out the window to, they should move along.
Wiping at her face again, hoping she didn't look completely horrible. Minerva could see the Prefect compartment. Good she could get in there hide for a bit and then she would come out and show the young students she wasn't as mean as she was probably coming across at the moment, but with a big group of what looked like second years possibly first in front of her she sighed, "Move out of my way.. Prefect coming through.. Find your compartments so the train can leave." Please people just let me through...
Jessie was so shocked at the sudden appearance of this girl, it took a moment for her to realize that she was talking to her. Quickly recovering, Jessie tucked a that annoying stray strand of her blond curly bob behind her ear. She's called Elizabeth? That's a nice name...my, doesn't she ask a lot of questions! Jessie smiled as Elizabeth finished her speech. "My name is Jessie... Jessie Arabella Morgan" crouching down, Jessie proceeded to open the cat basket at her feet. "And this..." she extracted the small black kitten and cuddled it close "Is Merlin" Jessie shifted the kitten's weight onto one arm, and extended the other towards Elizabeth. "Nice to meed you, Is this your first time on the train too?" Jessie looked around nervously...really not having the slightest idea what was going on. "I'm not very good with...people skills. My father and I live in a house in the country, and he is the only person I remember seeing in my life...besides my reflection of course" Jessie laughed softly to herself, but it was a sad laugh. I wonder If she thinks oddly of me..."Maybe we should go and find a seat?" Jessie clutched the cat to her chest and walked off down the corridor.

So this was it. His very last year at Hogwarts. Summer had gone by so fast, Nashville couldn't believe it was already over and his intern was over as well. The seventeen year old Brazilian had loads of fun at his internship at Qudditch Quality Supplies, Quidditch was his life, besides baking pies of course.
Nashville carried his two trunks in his left arm, his backpack on his back and he had a miniature apple pie in his right hand. Breakfast of champions. No one hated pie! That was a fact. Pie is good for the soul.
HEY! LOOK! NEW POSSIBLE BADGERS!
The seventh year spotted some newbie Badgers not that far in head of himself. This was great. He loved new students, mostly new badgers and last term he was a new badger himself but these are very knew to the magical learning world. "Ello, you two need any help?" His Brazilian accent was a bit thick but you were able to understand what he was saying.

who's this?Jessie eyed the muscular boy carrying all his cases with apparent ease. Jessie smiled. "Hey...We're not really sure where we go, being from non-magical backgrounds and all that" Jessie hugged Merlin closer, and tucked her blond curly bob behind her ear. "I see you like pie? I'm Jessie by the way, and this is Elizabeth" She waved, indicating Elizabeth. Where had all this confidence come from? Jessie was shocked by her sudden confidence to speak to strangers, but they were so nice! "O, wonder! How many goodly creatures are there here!" Jessie blushed as she realised, yet again, that her Shakespearean vocabulary was taking over. That is not the way to talk! But it was all she had ever known...Living alone with her father, and not having met another person in her life until today, Jessie was excited, nervous and scared. She really wasn't sure how to proceed now though.

Of all the conveniently vacant hideouts she stumbled on, it just had to be owned by that goody-two shoes. Really! Her mind has reviewed multiple scenarios where she wouldnt have been in this situation but alas, that place was SUCH a goldmine. And as are all things that are too good to be true-- thats exactly how that turned out.
So here she is, on a train meant for the glorified orphanage. *fuuuuuuumes*
She looked around and realized she was somewhere near the back. And it was packed. She wrinkled her nose. She disliked crowds and was endeavoring to make her way towards the baggage compartment.... which was near the front.

Once she had finally made it onto the platform, Claudette realized that she had been just in time for the train, spotting it just as it pulled into the station. She had stood watching for a moment, nearly lost in the hustle and bustle as hoards of students made their way to the train, before heading that way herself. On her way, she had run into her cousin who was there alone after seeing his girlfriend off. She chatted with him a moment before boarding the train, pulling her wheeled trunk behind her with one hand and carrying her owl's cage in the other.
The 16 year old walked through the train's corridor slowly, green eyes absorbing her surroundings as she looked for a compartment.. or a place to put her luggage. Was there a separate compartment for that or was she meant to keep it with her? The corridor was crowded, filled with kids her age and many of them younger, and she weaved through a few, nearly being knocked over causing her to move more to the side and pausing for a moment. Alright.. she really needed to figure out what she was doing or where she was going.
She spotted a blonde girl about her age just ahead of her and Claudette took a few brisk steps in her direction. Hopefully she was not new unlike herself and the girl she had met at the barrier so she would be able to tell her what to do with her luggage. "Hello," she began in her moderate French accent, friendly smile laying on her lips. "Cute shoes.." She glanced at the other girl's footwear, then was about to say something about the luggage situation when she heard a voice. Oh.. was she in the way?
Claudette stepped to the side of the rather crowded corridor, glancing up at the person demanding people to move as she walked by. The back of that blonde head looked rather familiar. "......Minerva?"

And what is this? Traffic? Even on the train?
*grumbles*
This train corridor seemed a bit longer than she remembered it being, especially given that she'd just trudged down it to get rid of her luggage. Shouldn't it seem shorter now? Wasn't that how stuff worked? She shoved her way through students passing on their way there to get rid of their things, the whole time focusing on her kneazle. He was a good enough distraction until she ran into either of her best friends.
Lex was so caught up in the kneazle that she hardly noticed a girl fuming down the corridor until she bumped shoulders with her--quite hard too, LIKE WHAT EVEN??????
She stopped and held her shoulder, not particularly in the mood to talk to people outside of Cassia or Lottie. Alexa scowled over at the girl. "Watch where I'm going." Jeeeeeez. She could only be so responsible for so many things at once. Looking in front of her just wasn't a priority at the moment.
Her brows crinkled at the clearly upset girl. "What's eating you?"
When upset, think of someone else's problems? Since when was THAT a rule? Eh, she'd go with it.

Somebody touched her.
Nay. Ran into her and nearly took out her own shoulder too.
This is why she hated crowds. Too many lumbering oafs not seeing there is a little girl trying not to get trampled on....
...except this time the lumbering oaf wasn’t so much lumbering. In fact she was pretty much like a little girl herself....
“Watch where you’re going?” brows up, smirk on “Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t realize I was on the handicap lane.”

Lex was still rubbing at her shoulder with her free hand when the girl spoke in an almost incredulous voice. Did she not understand what she just said? It wasn't all that hard. Just watch where she was going because she was too lazy preoccupied to do it herself. The fact that she didn't know this told Lex that she was obviously new. Had to be. Lex had bumped into everyone at least once and never saw her before.
"Handicapped lane...? You must be confused, see, this is a train." She gave an animated wave at there surroundings. "This here, is a train corridor we're both standing in." And another overly exaggerated wave. "You don't typically find lanes in them simply students passing however they want. Like me." Because Alexa Cambridge did as she felt like. Obviously.
Hang on. Already devoured her?
Her brows crinkled even more. "That doesn't seem very fair. It could have given me the decency of putting up a good fight instead of swallowing me whole." This girl was odd, she'd just go along with her analogies. "In any case, we're now in the same stomach. Before we get digested I suggest we get acquainted. I'm Alexa and I have no idea who you are but you must be tasty enough to end up here too."
This was clearly the case.

Caleb had lost his sister amongst the commotion of the train, but they'd been together on the platform so he knew she was on the train somewhere. He wasn't worried about her. If there was one thing he was certain of, it was that his sister could take care of herself. Especially on something as mundane as a crowded train full of Hogwarts students.
Still, he had been hoping to sit with her on the train so he could have at least ONE person he knew to talk to. He looked around to see if he spotted any of the kids he'd met in Diagon Alley, but he knew it was a slim chance that he'd find any of them in this crowd.
So instead, he just pulled his robes closer to his body, so his rat, Beans, wasn't in danger of accidentally falling out of his pocket. He looked around and bit his lip.
Where should he go?

You know if this girl was gonna keep waving her arms around like that she’s bound to take someone’s eye out. And given how she nearly took out her shoulder already, the brunette was warily leaning out of arms way. Without being so obvious about it. Nothings supposed to bother her right? Right.
“Well no wonder this place looks the way it is” Nose wrinkles “There should be a lane going towards the front and another going towards the back.” Huff huff goes the Little Miss Know It All. “Otherwise people will take foreverrr to get anywhere. Or would mow people down that happen to be on their way.” Like this Weathervane Girl.
“Who says its eaten me already?” eyyyesss. Doesn’t the brunette make an exemplary job of being all unbothered of anything? No? “You may be in its stomach. I’m still.... somewhere in its gullet—choking it to death.” Smiles sweetly.
Ugh gosh the girl gave her name. Ugh ugh ugh. Proper decorum says the brunette must give hers. “I.... AM.....” pained smile “...going now ok? Bye!” scuttle scuttle little bug.

Minerva had her had towards the compartment door when she heard her name. So close.. so so close.. All she wanted was to sit and compose herself, but she was a prefect now. She couldn't do that if someone needed her even if she looked horrid at the moment. Shoving some of her blonde hair behind her ear she turned puffy blue eyes searching for the voice that said her name. Eyes falling on Claudette she gave the weakest smile.
Had she yelled at Claudette to move and not even noticed. Where was her head. She was never mean to anyone and her first day as prefect and she was yelling at new students. Once that could probably use her help. "Hey Claudette" She walked over to Ethan's cousin and gave her a small hug. "Did you find everything alright, I'm so sorry we didn't meet up on the platform. It was just Ethan and I and.. " She trailed off looking away and taking a deep breath.
Turning her focus she saw Mika and smiled, giving her friend a hug. "Mika how are you?" She looked to Claudette, "Have you two met?" That would be great if they did. "Where is Kaiden? I would have assumed he'd be right around you. I haven't seen him all summer. I tried calling him when I was at my grandparents but got no answer." She wondered where her friend had been hiding.

The leaning away, though subtle, didn't go unnoticed. Nothing went unnoticed when Lex was upset--not that she was going to admit it. Nope. Normal. Normal normal normal. MOVING ON TO MS. PRISS HERE.
Lex couldn't help but grin in amusement. "You're a riot, you know? Mowing people over's half the fun at Hogwarts. If you haven't been thoroughly acquainted with the floor even ONCE then you haven't live my friend." Did she mention she was going to call her friend now? Well she kinda just did and wasn't going to be taking it back. "Now I've already chipped your shoulder, I'm thinking a few more run ins and you'll be a regular free faller." How exciting, yeah??? Pfft.
"No no. I'm standing right next to you, we bumped shoulders. It's either I'm strangling this thing with you or you're drowning with me in gastric juice. Personally, I like you're position better so in the end nothing's devoured me. Funny how that works, huh?" She mused, actually beginning to take interest in this RATHER odd topic of conversation. Funny indeed.
WHOOOOOAAAA!
No. Just no. Alexa grabbed the girl by the wrist as she was making her escaped and tugged her around so she was facing her again. She then grinned widely. "You forgot to say you're name. Don't worry, when I'm real eager I forget bits of conversations too. We can start over but remember your name this time. Now then. I'm Alexa Cambridge, the girl who won't be letting you go until I know your name." BEAM.

With huge beams on her face Abigail Campbell made her way along the train. She had sort of lost Donny and was on her own for now, but she didn't mind. He was still her best friend. Always was, always would be.
Now where was she to go? Was there a specific compartment for the new people, or the fairies cause fairies were awesome enough to deserve one. The little auburn haired girl walked along the corridor turning her head to look at each compartment.
No empty ones and no Donny.
On and on she walked in hope for either of those two things. Her bags were heavy and Whiskers whom was following her like he always did seemed to be getting agitated. She didn't blame him, but he didn't have to worry Fairy Abbi Campi was would find somewhere for him to rest.

Olly was completely engrossed in her own thoughts about this upcoming school year and how she she hadn't said goodbye to her sister the way she wanted to. Or actually, she didn't really want to say goodbye to her at all. While she'd been feeling better about this whole Hogwarts thing a couple of days ago, actually leaving now was a whole different thing. She would actually be GONE until Christmas.

However she didn't get to check on her toad because she felt something move between her legs. What. No. Aah! Luckily her sense of balance wasn't thaaat bad and she only just managed to not faceplant on the floor. Leaning against the nearest wall to regain her balance, Olly glared at the little thing on the floor. "Hey! Watch your cat!" She snapped at the girl to whom the cat seemed to belong, without actually looking at her. Stupid cats.

Head scratch. Hmmmmm. Was that compartment an empty one? Oh it--
Someone was talking. WITCH ALERT WITCH ALERT.
Maybe she needed to stop that, because she needed to come to terms with the fact she herself was a witch. But SHHHH she was a fairy too. First witch fairy! Now how awesome was that?
But witch person! Abbi was looking at the older girl who had just shouted at her about Whiskers. How rude. Probably a mean witch like in Hansel and Gretel. Abbi didn't mind though, those witches always had sad endings so all the auburn girl did was giggle. "He's awesome isn't he?" She picked him up smiling quite widely and this older girl. "What pet do you have?" Or was she not even cool enough for that. Psshhhht.

Was she...was that girl...was she GIGGLING?!
That was not funny! So not. Hadn't she SEEN? She had almost lost her balance and-
Olly had already opened her mouth to tell the girl EXACTLY what she thought of her giggling when she finally got a proper look at her. And promptly closed her mouth again. The girl was really young. Probably a first year. Actually she looked around the same age as Odette was. Why did this one get to go to Hogwarts and her little sister had to stay at home on her own? It wasn't fair.
Eying the cat for a moment, Olly sighed softly. Okay, she had decided not to snap at the girl anymore but she could NOT get herself to say that her cat was awesome. Sorry, little one. So instead she didn't comment on that at all. When the girl asked about her pet, however, Olly reached inside her bag to bring out her toad. "His name's Julian." She offered with a small smile, holding him up with both hands for the girl to see.

Acquainted with the whut? Mowing people for fun? Riot? Who she? The brunette would angle her nose in the air had her head not already been pressed against the glass due to the intimidating blonde crowd. She would never consciously be a Riotess. And that’s the story she’s sticking with mmhmm.
“The floor is filthy.” she snootily mutters “I would rather have some people more acquainted with it make the preliminary meeting and I could just... catch up.” Floor. Catch. Geddit?
How did this turn into a conversation of bodily harm and gastric juices? The brunette would blink and wonder but blondie was just yakking away, analysis will just have to come later somehow. “Well.... I’m certainly not being melted in anyone’s acid. I’ve been told I cause quite a bit of indigestion.” The one time she will probably say that proudly, being that its taken completely out of context. But given this convo—who cares about context huh?
Gaaaasp. Girl grabbing wrist. Whut? “I..... I did give you my name.” she did kinda, in the subtle hints she seems to have the habit of doing. She glares at the hand around her wrist “I will be needing my wrist Alexa Cambridge, unless you plan to be doing my notes this whole term.” Which was very tempting, except her annoyingly persnickety nature would never be happy with anybody elses’s notes other than her own.
After what seemed to be an indeterminate amount stare-glaring at her pint sized captor the brunette finally sighed “Huxley. That is my name.” cringe. There goes the identifier.
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes

Giiiiiigggllee. Paaause. Wooops?
The silent scared Abbi slightly and that was because monsters often went all silent before they attacked you. Eyes were wide open though so if anything happened Abbi Campi was ready. She even had a wand to defend herself too. Take that.
Oh wait? No attacking? Okay then. Beams for you missy....and cautious eyes too still. Cause you never knew.
With interest she waited for the girl to say something instead of speaking first. She asked a question and mommy had always told her it was polite to wait because people sometimes had to think. That's probably what this oldie was doing. Not attacking. Psshhht. Silly Abbi.
Eyes straight on the girl she continued to wait and watched as she pulled something out of her pocket. "That's a TOAD!" That was real cool! The name Julian made her giggle again though. "Is he a prince?" His name was princy enough so it made sense in her mind.
