A very violent magical plant that has been on the grounds of Hogwarts since 1971. Anyone or anything that comes within range of its branches will get attacked so it’s best to keep a safe distance. The Groundskeeper is not responsible for any “injuries out of stupidity”
Michael and Forrest were friends? N'awww! That was good! Forrest told her that there were some people picking on him, it was good he made nice friends as well. Now she wouldn't have to feel bad about hexing Michael for picking on Forrest. Wasn't life grand?? "You guys were in muggle london? I live just outside of there, if you guys do again, you should tell me." Whoa...ten feet..."That must have been so epic--not the crashing to the ground part but everything before then." NOW she really wished she'd gone on that ride. Hanging on for dear life, flying higher than she was meant to. Merlin, if there was ever another festival she would petition for them to bring that ride back.
Did she set him too straight? Whoops?
"Er...you don't have to worry too much. She tries not to bite her own teammates." Except Ryan, she had a thing for biting him or at least scaring him with her teeth. "If you'd tried out she would have been super nice because she'd want you to come back." It was really after one made the team that they got acquainted with her teeth but Alice would never bite her. Nope. She didn't think so.
Despite his unease she found herself laughing. "I suppose she could...usually she just has to give me this look then I know I better get my butt down to the pitch." Sometimes a look was all it took when it came to one Alice Fischer. She BEAMed at him. He figured she'd make a good Chaser, she liked thinking she was. "Um, it depends, I get at least one goal a game and there was that one game where I got Mo with a bludger but I got knocked out that game and couldn't play." Horrible match that was. Not all bludger hits could be shaken off. She learned that that day. "Chaser? Neat! If you try out next term we could probably play Chaser together!" GRIN. Unless Alice let her beat again? She didn't know. She chuckled at the mention of gaining weight. "Hey, I'm not that heavy, it doesn't stop me from swinging a mean beater's bat." Whether she was aiming at Bludgers or not. Heh.
Lex was sizing up the tree while she waited to hear his ability with the spell. His answer brought a slight scowl to her face. Not that good...hmm...that wouldn't work very well then. "I guess we'll forget about that then and focus on getting the low branches until we can figure something else out." Because she was NOT putting Michael Toussaint in a ridiculous amount of danger with a shoddy shield charm.
Was she...inviting him to her house? If he wasn't such a guy he probably would have let out a squeal of excitement. Instead he just smiled at her and quite remarkably not go red in the face as he did so. He was going to ignore the fact that she had invited Forrest as well. That was just a minor detail. "Sure." He was going to make sure that he was in muggle London next summer. He should probably tell Forrest too.
He was so excited about going to her house that he had almost forgotten what they had been talking about. "It was epic." It was the best ride he had ever been on. "The ground was cushioned so it was all good."
Hmm. Michael could see that Lex and the Quidditch Captain were friends that's why she kept backtracking on what she said about Alice and trying to make the girl seem not as scary. "Maybe I should just make my assumption about the girl yeah? That way he only had himself to blame for whatever he thought of the girl. If she did try and bite him though, he was going to kick her in the shins.
"That's not bad Cambridge, not bad at all." He probably wouldn't get any. He was a decent enough flyer and all and he'd played a few games of quidditch with his family but nothing at the level he had seen at school. Now he wished that he had tried out for the team. He would have, as Lex just pointed out, been able to played next to her. "Yeah, that would be cool." He was definitely trying out next year. Oh. That's not what he had meant. "No, no I didn't meant it like that. I meant that I needed more muscles." He held up his arm and tried to flex. "See! Pretty pathetic." There wasn't a muscle in sight.
Oh great! Now she thought he was useless at magic. "Perhaps I could show you..." He pulled out his wand. "And you can decide on whether I'm good enough or not." Maybe he should just show her what he could do and tell her to keep it to herself.
Taylor tilted her head, "Nice!" Tay beamed and laid her head on his stomach now that he was laying down... because of her tackling. She giggled and smiled at him, "Anytime? So when you asking her out? Does she know that you like her? Maybe if we both get together with our crushes, we can double date!" Yeah, like that would happen... them double date? They were exs... she was just being nice though. Taylor shrugged, "It is going good and you?" Tay looked up at the clouds, feeling the earth move beneath them.
He looked down at her and gave a small smile, almost just like old times... Only she seemed to think that he was completely over her when he wasn't... But that could be saved for another time. Then she started asking about when he and Claudette were going to be a thing he paused, "I don't know if anything's going to happen with her, I mean... I basically just met and we're still trying to get to know each other..." Double date? With her, he hoped she wasn't serious, he still had no interest in meeting Nash, none whatsoever, hence why he'd been sleeping on the couch in the common room claiming his bed was uncomfortable. No one really seemed to buy it but oh well, it was better than telling them it was for someone he was dorming with he didn't want to see, "A little better... I'm still healing a bit, and you know... Nearly died in Astronomy with that flying challenge..." He was never going near that lake again.

Would you look at that? She was already making summer plans and the term had only just started. Her summer would be entirely booked by the time her birthday/end of the school year came around which was a good thing. Quiet summers had the potential to kill her brain cells.
She nodded smiling at the idea. Padded flooring, high flying, could someone remind her why she hadn't gone on that ride again? She was having a hard time remembering. "Did you try anything else at the festival? I heard they had a kidsville, Daddy took Jessa there." Cue nose wrinkling. She'd begged him to take her to the festival and he brought the baby too. Not what she had in mind.
Oh? "Well...I think that'd be for the best. Alice likes me, I dunno how she'd treat you--I'm sure it wouldn't be badly though."....Of course Alice did scare that firstie on the train...poor girl. Anywaaaaay, her Captain wasn't vicious--yeah, yeah she was...but...in a good way...? Suuuuuuure.
Lex BEAMed at him. "Yup. It's like I said, I'm a decent player. I can help myself around the pitch." And she saw that look he had. Was he beginning to regret not trying out because he should. They could have made an awesome team, them and whoever would be the third Chaser. If she was right...Alice had decided she liked Chaser yes? That's why she gave her her Beater's bat? "OH! Yes! Muscle! You need that otherwise your arm could snap like a twig when you trying taking a swing at the bludgers. Made of iron you know." And that image had her cringing a bit....Ow.
All her attention moved from the tree to the Second Year. She thought about it for a minute. "Alright, that sounds fair. Should I cast at you....or...?" How did he want to test this?

Michael shook his head. "Nah. Zahra wasn't feeling too good after we got off that ride so we just walked around for a bit." He had gotten the impression lately that his friend only did the rough and tumble stuff because it was what he liked. Before he could ponder that thought any longer he noticed Alexa's expression and he let out a small chuckle. Ahh yes, the baby sister. "You know, one of these days you're going to appreciate that sibling of yours." She may think she would like to be an only child but it was a rather lonely life. He could attest to that.
He really didn't want to think about Alice Fischer and what her razor sharp teeth would do to him if he got on her bad side. And with the way Lex was beaming at him like that, the Quidditch Captain was the last thing on his mind. "I'm definitely trying out next year." It was decided. He was rather glad that she had not commented on his lack of muscles. Maybe he should start working out or something. "The muggles have this super hero they call the 'Man of Steel.' Imagine what his muscles are like?" Not sure where that had come from but whatever.
Er...as much as he liked Alexa, he didn't particularly fancy her casting any sort of spell at him. "How about you just toss something in my direction?" Hmm that sounded just as dangerous.

"Oh. Bummer. It's nice you walked around with her though." You know, as opposed to leaving her by the buffet and going off to enjoy the rest of the festival by himself. A sign of true bestfriendship right there if you asked her. As for the little sister bit she simply gave a stubborn shake of her head. "Nope. I don't think so and you shouldn't either. You'll only get your hopes up." As much as it was humanly possible she avoided the baby.
Eeep! He was definitely trying out next year. Using that word was like an added guarantee or something. Whatever it was it got her grinning. "I can't wait, I'm sure you'll be amazing on the pitch." And the team liked welcoming new talent--merlin listen to her! She'd been spending too much time with Alice. The older girl was notorious for sneaking Quidditch into every conversation in an attempt to make her team grow. This was SO not Lex's subject. "I've heard about him. Superman right?" Or was there another one. "I'd like to take a swing at him with a Beater's bat just to see what happens. I figure he might break the bludger, what d'you think?"
Right. No spell casting. She could understand that seeing as she didn't trust just anyone to raise a wand to her. There were far too many idiots in the world. "Okay, it'll have to be something hard though 'cause I wanna make sure you can stand your own against him." Lex explained, pointing to the tree that was eerily still at the moment.
"Any suggestions?"

If Cat was willing to hex someone who simply JOKED about showing an interest in her boyfriend, Merlin knew what she'd do to someone who actually tried something on the boy.
Now Sharky was on her shoulder, very similar to how a parrot might perch there. Only kittens were a cuter companion. "Mhmmmm. I just got him last month.. his name's Kitty." Although she often called him 'Kittybug' for some reason. Maybe it just rolled off the tongue whenever she looked at the furry, little guy. Cute as a bug's ear.
Feeling better, Cat grinned. "Thanks. I wouldn't really hex you, though. But I like the boy lots of super lots and stuff." Schuyler was a girl, surely she could understand. "I almost named Sharky Cat. Cat the cat. But I thought that would end up being a bit confusing and I like sharks." Sharks were totally the coolest. Cat tilted her head and considered the girl for a moment. "I'm hungry." So what else is new? "Want to go get some food? Food is my favorite. Besides sharks and mermaids and dinosaurs and animals wearing hats and dragons."

"Well she is my best friend." Annoying as Zahra could be at times, Michael would do anything for her. He cared for her a lot, she was like the sister he never had. "Besides it's not as fun doing all that stuff on your own." Apparently though Lex didn't seem to get that especially with that comment she had just made. He wasn't going to argue with her though even if he thought she was wrong. She would find out on her own. "If you say so."
Oh Merlin! There goes that blush again. She thought he was going to be amazing and she hadn't even seen him play yet. "Well I'm sure having you alongside me will help me a great deal." He just hoped that he could keep his focus on the quaffle and not so much on the older girl.
Thankfully she knew what he was talking about because it would have been a little awkward trying to explain it to her. Michael didn't really know that much about the subject of muggle superheroes, he only knew a couple of names and he kind of had a general idea of what they did. "He'd probably crush it."
He couldn't believe they were standing here discussing about throwing stuff at him. He looked over to the tree, sighed deeply before returning his gaze back to the blonde in front of him. The things he did for the girls in his life. "I guess a rock would be hard enough."

His bloody charm work better be up to scratch.
It was clear that Michael understood something a certain someone else was neglecting to acknowledge. Best friends, they did stuff for each other even when they didn't want to and they didn't stop talking to each other just because of stupid little mistakes...or...not so little and kinda massive but still get-over-able...for her anyway. She smiled over at him, deciding not to think about it too much. "You're a good person, you know?" Understanding the idea behind best friends and everything.
And the blushing was back, just as before, she looked pass it. Her days of pointing out blushes were SO over. "Nah, I wouldn't have anything to do with the way you play. It'd be raw talent on your part. Only way I'd help is if I was beater." Keeping him and everyone else safe from bludgers and aiming at people she didn't particularly like. Ahem. What?.
That was the idea! She grinned at him. "I know. I wanna see him crush it and maybe see him crush a few other things as well. It's too bad he's not real." Or maybe not. Where there was one there was bound to be others. Imagine a hoard of muggles with super powers. UGH. The world would probably get knocked off it's orbit and go crashing into the sun. Even she knew that wouldn't have been cool...as intriguing as the idea was.
Er...why did she not feel any better about throwing a rock at him? She didn't want something to go wrong then have the rock hit him so hard he'd have a concussion. Just imagine her trying to explain it to the healer while he mumbled in and out of consciousness. We weren't doing anything wrong, just trying to play with the dangerous tree and KNOCKING ROCKS at second years. Yeah...she was gonna have to say no to that.
BUT, they needed to test it. "Just don't die, OKAY??" Then she searched along the floor for a sizeable rock. This would do. "Ready?"

Charlie frowned, mentally kicking herself for trying to be funny. She was not funny, and from now on she was not going to try to be. "It was...uh, just a joke, Stan," she said, offering an embarrassed smile at the older boy. She had plenty of friends, and people she talked to. Yeah, enough of the trying to be funny stuff.
Glancing at the dog eared book that Stan was eyeing, she blushed slightly, inwardly glad that she hadn't brought down Twelfth Night or Great Expectations, which were both even more battered to the point that the latters cover was sellotaped together. "Really," she said with a shrug, pushing her hair back behind her ear. "I think Shakespeare's amazing, and it's... just such an incredible play, the writing....." At this point her eyes were alight with the enthusiasm that only appeared when she was talking about something she loved, passion obvious.
"Yeah, it's.. uh, really good." she finished lamely.
Joke.. Stan laughed, suddenly feeling rather stupid. Of course, she was joking. How could a girl like her NOT have any friends? She was pretty and really nice to talk to. He awkwardly ran a hand through his hair, turning to look at the Whomping Willow again.
... And he turned to look at her again when she started to talk about Shakespeare. He couldn't help but grin though. She looked so.. passionate and enthusiastic. "I have not read much of his work but.. I guess I should. If it's really that good." He was always up for reading new books. Not Romeo and Juliet, though.
"So.. what do you like besides reading?" Stan asked, with a grin.

Oh, he wasn't laughing at her, was he? Charlie didn't think she could stand it if he was and... well, it was only a grin, so maybe she was just reading into it. Yeah, she was probably being silly. Even so, she blushed slightly, but refrained from uttering an apology: she wasn't sorry that she enjoyed books so much, it was just who she was, even if it was a little embarrassing.
"I love it," she said with a shrug, a smile around her lips again. "You should try the Tempest, or Macbeth." And you know, stay away from the whole 'star-crossed, dying lovers' theme. Touch topic of conversation, that was, she realised. "What's your favourite book?" Charlie totally believed that you could learn a lot about a person from that little bit of information: people that didn't read were annoyingly difficult to figure out.
"I draw -" she began, gesturing at her sketchbook with her head. "- and I like walking, cooking..." She shrugged once again. Walking as in exploring, hiking, along those lines, she hoped he understood. [b]"You?"[b]

She was killing him. She really, really was. Michael didn't think he could take anymore blushing, it was totally going to ruin his guy image. Not that he had one yet. But if she kept on throwing out those compliments like she was then he was going to have to hide his head in shame for the rest of the term. "Well I do try." When his blushing had subsided, he looked at her and smiled. "You're a good person too Alexa." And if anyone told her different, he would punch them.
Well he didn't know if he would go that far. Sure he could play but whether he was talented was another thing and he was pretty sure that having her beside him would help him a lot. But he decided just to accept her compliment.
Without the blushing this time.
"We don't need a man of steel. Look at the things we can do." Well once they'd had practice and everything. They could make themselves strong and then they could crush their own stuff. "It's amazing what the muggles come up with though, isn't it?" Superheroes. Haha!
If there was a time when he thought that he shouldn't be in Gryffindor then those thoughts were now squashed. Who else would stand in front of a friend and allow them to throw a rock at your face.
"Just don't kill me!" Michael gave her a weak smile before taking out his wand and moving one foot behind the other and getting his balance. "Ready!"

Lex was smiling at his modesty, blushing at the compliment but not bragging about it either. The smile stayed on her face until he said...that. She gave an indifferent shrug. "Sure. I guess." Or not, considering she was called a rubbish friend. Good people wern'te rubbish friends, it was one of those unspoken rules but she wasn't about to bring him down so she didn't bother mentioning any more. He thought she was a good person, that was nice of him.
At her next compliment there was no blushing. They were making progress today! Seriously though, until next year rolled around she would forever be stuck wondering what it could be like having Michael on the team.
She laughed. "O'course we don't. I could use expulso and destroy the bludger but at the same time, you have to admit it's an interesting thought." A man without magic but powers. Where would he have even gotten them and how did they work without him casting anything? Was it kinda like a silent casting that he did? She would probably have to look into this late. "Muggles have interesting ideas when they try to be productive and creative." It was true. They had ideas that weren't half bad.
....
He chose to say that just before she threw the rock because??? "No no, dying is NOT allowed." She had to make this abundantly clear. "You still have your whole life ahead of you." So she was REALLY hoping the spell wouldn't fail at a time like this.
It took her a few extra minutes after he'd confirmed that he was ready for her to finally bring herself to hurl the rock at him and even then she squeezed her eyes shut and HOPED against everything that there was no blood and he still had his face.

Michael didn't think there would ever be a time when he would see Alexa not confident in herself. He raised his eyebrows but he didn't say anything especially since it didn't look like she was going to be very forthcoming in telling him what was wrong. And to be honest he didn't think he was the right person to help her.
He did smile though as she talked about destroying bludgers and muggles. She had a point in both regards. "It is interesting. And when you think about it, these muggle superheroes surely got their powers through magic." Because how else would they get them? He let out a small chuckle. "That they do. Some of their ideas are even better than ours." Like their phones and computers. Those things were awesome.
.......
She seemed really concerned about his wellbeing and not wanting him to die which was sweet and all but she was still determined to throw a rock at his head. Michael felt the need to point this out but he couldn't seem to find his voice at the moment.
Besides he needed to concentrate on creating a shield strong enough to stop a rock from shattering it. He breathed in and out slowly while Alexa took her sweet time in throwing the rock. He wished she would hurry up and get it over with.
He was watching her hand, the one that held the rock, and when she drew back, Michael shifted his weight and leaned forward a little. And when the rock left her fingers, he was ready.
"PROTEGO!!" he yelled.
There wasn't even a stutter or hiccup as the invisible shield went up in front of him. And just in time too because a second later the rock that Alexa had thrown hit it and rebounded away.
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite
SPOILER!!: IT WORKED!

She was just going to continue ignoring things and hope they got better. Granted that never solved anything but it was all she could do in this given situation. Moving on? Seemed legit. She smiled over at him not having thought about it that way before. "You think magic might be what gives them such a boost?" She had magic, but still couldn't fly unless she grabbed her broom and would crumple at a hit that was hard enough. Her magic needed to take a hint...not that she was encouraging it to be like the muggle kind because that was just gross.
Ideas better than their own? She didn't know about that. It all seemed pretty mundane to her but that was probably because she lived in Muggle Britain and was too accustomed to them. They weren't super, just...they were just there. "I dunno. I'm not overly impressed by the stuff they have."
Also, was it her or did Michael seem a bit apprehensive?...Like he didn't want her hurling a giant rock at his forehead?
It was a bit too late for that seeing as she'd already thrown but with her eyes closed it took her an extra second to realize that he was just fine. There were no sudden screams of pain, no second year flailing around and knocking into her. Dare she open her eyes? She DID and nearly squealed when she saw him in one piece for a couple of reasons. The most important being that he was still alive and conscious but the other was just as needed to note.
"Excellent!! Cast like that and maybe the tree won't get you!" GRIN. "Now then, after we get the low branches I was thinking I'd levitate you closer to the top and you can get the gear up there--has to be you...I don't think you'd be able to proper levitate me more than a few inches...maybe a foot off the ground." On account of body mass and magic level. Basic stuff.
"Unless you don't wanna." She didn't want him flailing mid-air. That was a recipe for getting shield charms wrong then getting a horrible beat down by the tree. Cringe.

Caleb was totally going to try his Solis Focus spell idea on the Whomping Willow.
LOL JUST KIDDING!
Caleb was not that insane.
Instead there were a number of icy patches around the tree, and he wanted to see if he could melt the ice and free the dying grass underneath it. He could stay far away from the tree and still get his homework done. Sweeeeet.
He found a large patch of us and set his stuff down next to it, taking out his magnifying glass wand and preparing himself to get started. He pointed it at the ice and yelled "Solis Focus!" and waited for something to happen.
Sure enough, just a few seconds later, the ice began to melt and the grass was FREEEEE! It was now kind of muddy there, which would help the grass get water and stuff, and now it got extra sunlight so it could THRIVE!
At least until the frost came again the next morning and it got icy again. Ah well. What can you do.

After finishing with the bacon she found herself walking towards the Whomping what better place then there to boil something. This time instead of water she brought milk.. She always wanted to see if you could even boil milk so seeing as she was boiling things she decided why not try it now.
Setting her pot down she took her bottle of milk and poured it in. After finishing with the set up she took out her wand and magnifying attachment. She gave it an adjustment before catching one of those sunbeams to boil her milk. Directing it towards the milk, she gave a flick of her wand and said "Solis Focus!"
Waiting she looked around... When she smelled something horrid!! Turning back towards the milk she grimaced definitely not, the milk had scalded/burned. So was the sunbeam to hot or did the milk just boil to easy?

The Whomping Willow.
Dylan had seen it from a distance a couple times while wandering the grounds, but had been too scared to get a closer look at it. Until today, of course. He finally got the courage to go and see it. Sure, he was a bit nervous but he was sure if he kept a little distance he'd be fine. And plus, he was a fast runner and if it ever swung it's branches at him, he would run away in time.
The first year walked along the grounds, his orange kitten Ginger bounding after him. It seemed like she had really wanted to tag along, which he didn't mind as long as she kept close to him. He wanted his baby to be saaaafe. The eleven year old took a seat on the grass, looking up at the big tree. It actually wasn't so scary up close as he had been imagining it to be.
Taylor wandered down the pathways toward the Whomping Willow, thinking about the last time she had been there. It was earlier this term with Brodie and he had admitted he liked Claudette. Tay was happy then about the idea but now she wasn’t… Taylor had met Claudette since then and realized how much of an idiot Brodie was. She felt bad for the poor girl since Brodie was crushing on her. Taylor was happy she had met her since she thinks that Claudette would make a good friend. It did help that Claudette was only a year younger than her, that she was in the same house and that she was also friends with Minerva. Tay smiled and looked up at the tree.
Taylor found a spot on the ground and spread out a blanket that she had in her bag. She sat her bag down on it then removed the guitar that she had swung onto her back. Tay placed it gently on the bag and then plopped down next to her stuff. It was starting to get cold since it was getting close to November. Tay gaze up at the tree and thought about all the memories that she had at this place. Taylor sighed at the sad ones but smiled at the good ones. She was going to miss this tree when she graduate come the end of the term. Taylor didn’t want to graduate so the thought of NEWTs and graduation made her frown and pull her legs to her chest. Tay buried her head in her knees and just let the wave of grief come crashing down on her. She stayed there for a few moments before a thought of a song came tugging at the edge of her mind.
Taylor unfolded and crossed her legs, grabbing at her guitar. She laid it across her lap and reached for her bag. Tay opened it and pulled out a parchment and a quill. She made a quick sheet of music and started to strum her guitar after enchanting the quill to write down every note she played and every word she sung. She closed her eyes and started to strum the music that she was envisioning in her mind after positioning her guitar. Taylor had to write it down or it would have started to bug her. She started to nod move her upper body in time with the music she was playing. Tay’s curls fell down the front of her but she didn’t seem to realize as she just sat there playing. A smile came to her face and she started to relax. Dance and music was two things that she knew would help her relax and keep from going insane. When she did either of them, she usually was at her happiest moments… though being with Nash was starting to beat out dance and music… and that was the first time.
Taylor was falling fast and hard, not evening caring or even knowing probably. Taylor knew that they probably won’t last long… and heck, they weren’t even officially boyfriend and girlfriend yet… but still... he did ask her out so maybe soon they will be. Taylor stopped strumming and started to think about Nashville, beaming as she opened her eyes. Her greenish-blue eyes twinkled and lit up as she thought about the hufflepuff seventh year quidditch player guy… They had shared many kisses and he asked her on a date but didn’t even give her a date or time… or even a place. That thought made her slightly frown so she started to strum her guitar again and closed her eyes but it wasn’t the same as it was before she started to think about a certain boy.

Claudette was growing rather bored and decided on a walk outside to clear her head. She still wasn't sure about this term transfer, not that she was having a bad time necessarily, but it wasn't as fun and interesting as she thought it was going to be. Still, she had no regrets. She just hoped she would feel less out of place soon.
The sixth year kept walking further out into the grounds, not really paying attention to where she was going. It had been just a little too warm for it to snow much, surprisingly enough, though she suddenly thought of building a snowman or having a snowball fight. Possibly soon though.. it would get cold eventually, she figured. And that led her thinking about her family's yearly skiing trip coming up soon over break. She couldn't wait for that.
Claudette was so lost in thought that she almost didn't notice the sound of a guitar until she was right next to it. She looked over curiously, then smiled at the familiarity. "Hey Taylor," she said as she took a seat next to her friend. "I didn't know you played guitar.."

Taylor blinked and came out of her thoughts and music when she heard someone speaking. She glanced at the girl and it took a few moments before she came out of it. ”Oh hey, Claudette.” Tay smiled, ”Oh… ummm…” Taylor glanced down at her guitar then back up at her, ”I don’t… well… if you consider having people’s ears bleeding as playing then I guess I do play…” She had stopped the quill from writing anything else and started to pack her quill and parchment, setting her guitar to the side. ”Do you play?” Taylor gestured, kinda inviting her to pick up the guitar if she so chooses. Tay glanced around, checking to see that a certain Ravenclaw boy hadn’t shown up. She had been trying to avoid Harvey ever since the bounce house accident after Claudette and Minerva have left them to go fight other people. Soon the memories started to play over in her mind and she started to zone out. Tears started to flow out of her eyes and down her cheeks silently. A single curl fell down and onto her cheek as she flinched. A few moments later, she pulled herself out of her own thoughts, ”So how have you been?” Taylor pulled a fake smile… not that she doesn’t like the girl but because she was suddenly not happy since the thoughts she had been hiding was resurfacing now that she wasn’t zoned out with her music. The thoughts of Nash and her had been pushed to the side as the thoughts of what happened with Harvey kept running through her mind. Her eyes dimmed as she glanced at the girl, ”Has Brodie been bothering you or are you two ok or have you not seen him?” Eh, why wouldn’t she ask? She was curious and what better way to find out than to ask?

Ugh. Time to do more stargazing! Caleb had to admit, this was getting just a bit old and boring. Stars all kind of looked the same as him, he'd read all the myths about the old constellations and stuff - he was in it for the points now. All the points he got got him one step closer to being Head Boy someday.
He took out the telescope he'd cleaned long ago and began to search the sky, while still being conscious of the whomping willow which was a bit too close for his comfort. As he looked up, consulting his star chart every once in a while, he started to think that maybe he'd never find it, but then...AHA! There it was! Sirius! He quickly scribbled it down on his parchment, and as soon as he finished writing, one of the branches of the willow hit the ground menacingly a few feet away from him.
He jumped to his feet instantly. "Ok, I get it!" he said as he backed away. The willow had had enough of him invading it's space.

Alexa was fully awake now as she and Felix made their way toward the tree. On the walk there she constantly slapped at her cheeks just to get herself awake. One did not simply walk up to the whomping willow while half asleep, it just didn't work like that, you know? That was how people got WHOMPED!! Was that even a legit word? It had to be, the tree did nothing but it. Had anyone coined the term as yet? Could she? The tree wouldn't mind her benefiting from it. They were like bestfriends. It would want the best for her, obviously.
There was some haste in the steps she took toward the tree, putting her just about in step with her kneazle who didn't seem to notice her new found energy. It was clear that certain danger was enough to keep this lion awake. That and this was the last star of the night.
She was SUPER excited to go back inside. MHM.
Not wanting to waste any time, she pulled the telescope out once more. "You see anything boy?" He would have to help if he wanted to go back to warm sheets and a fluffy pillow but of course he knew this because his response was almost instant.
It seemed she was in sync with him because in the next second she spotted it as well. Sirius. Right there. Tonight was a good night. Sleep now.

So how had he gone through... what? Four months? Yeah, how had he gone through four months of being around Hogwarts without coming over to this spot on the grounds?
But no matter! He was here now! Grinning, the boy headed down towards the Whomping Willow, the thought of a certain blonde taking over his head. As usual. But this wasn't exactly surprising to him since... this was their spot. There were a lot of memories linked to this place. Great memories. So being here sort of made him really happy... and a little sad. Why hadn't he come here? With Ells? Frown.
He shrugged before pulling up on a patch of grass. The telescope and star chart were taken out, as usual. Once everything was set up accordingly, Alec gazed up at the sky, occasionally using his telescope to get a better view of the stars up there. Just in case, you know. He didn't exactly want to miss anything, if there was something he was meant to be finding up there. Come oooon...
... Oh? Was that...? IT WAS! Grinning, the boy looked down at his star chart, just to make sure. This wasn't exactly a necessary precaution but it did help. HEY SIRIUS. Great to see you! Wave!
Instead of getting up and heading off as he would have done, the boy lay down and gazed up at the sky. There.

Brodie walked up to the willow, slightly grimacing remembering the last time he was here was when he was with Taylor. He really didn’t understand how he’d ever loved her, she’d proven now that she was just shallow, so he didn’t want to worry about her anymore, she could go off and do whatever she wanted so… Yeah.
He’d come out here to practice a bit on his guitar, Damon had been teaching him how to play, and he thought it be kind of an insult to his friends memory if he just stopped, so he’d keep practicing, and hopefully find someone else to teach him. No, he probably wasn’t as talented as his friend was with that, he’d never been self-taught in anything. He tried to think of the chords Damon had taught him so far though to practice them and remember how to properly tune the guitar when he ran into someone.
He was about to glare and growl like he normally would when he saw Alec. He stopped and gave a weak smile instead. He was trying to be less testy lately anyways, and at least it was a friend he ran into and not someone he didn’t care for, "Hey, Alec." Brodie gave a small smile, "Mind if I join you?" What was the sixth year doing out here anyways? Brodie looked up at the sky then down again at his telescope, "Just star gazing, or is this for Astrology class?"
