Centered among the shops of Hogsmeade is a well enough known pub in the small village, called The Three Broomsticks. Not unlike the Hog's Head down the street in the strictest idea of pubs, drinks and the like, however it is the atmosphere that helps make the latter choice the one hailed by the mass majority. The outside of the building is a good preview of what the inside may look like with the same steep roof as the surrounding buildings, yet taller, with a sign on it's facade featuring, you guessed it, the legendary three boomsticks, all fixed around a lantern to light the patrons' way.
Once you enter the pub, smells and the warmth of the large stone fireplace great you as you place hats and coats by the door. Directly infront of you there are tables and booths lining the majority of the small hall with oil lamps placed on each one. On winter days it is usually hard to find a place beside the large fire grate but if you're early enough, only Merlin can say what will happen. To your left the bar and most likely the bartender Harold "Hops" Lagerty, await you and your order--a few stools await you to take a load off and shoot the breeze with others.
The bartender is pretty sociable to those who don't annoy him. He's seen his lot of warlocks, goblins, and Hogwarts kids to know which ones were trouble and which of those made loyal customers, so be sure not to be put on the first part of the list.
A few rules from the Shop Owner: No brawling, no shouting (angrily), no alcohol to minors, and don't go up the stairs, I live up there.
OCC Rules: No RPing for the shopkeeper and all other School RPG Rules apply.

Zéline wandered about, not entirely sure of where to go. She knew nothing of the place and the other Beauxbatons students had gone separate ways, which she did not mind, honestly. Although companion would be nice, she could find her way around without help, even not knowing the place.
Adjusting her bag on her shoulder, she noticed a sign on top of a doorway and thought The Three Broomsticks had a nice ring to it, so she decided to check the place. Zéline entered the pub and walked around. She didn't smile at anyone, but also didn't give rude looks.
It was her first time in England and even though she had had English lessons for many years, she was still too self conscious to start conversations with native speakers. Zéline would be happy just to listen to them. She glanced around the main room and waited for pretty much nothing.
An unfamiliar girl entered the room too. Where were all of these people coming from? Adrienne hadn't seen them at Hogwarts before, and they both seemed to be school-age, so what were they doing in Hogsmeade and not at school? It's not like there were any wizarding schools nearby that they could just be visiting from nearby... well, anyway, Adrienne decided to flag this one down to talk to her before the other, older students snagged her like they had the others.
"Hey! I don't think I've seen you around school, would you like to come sit with us?" And tell us everything about you and why you seem so suspicious? Are you a spy? Do you think you can get past us this easily? Do you have something to do with the creepy Arithmancy professor and his creepy door?

Hot Cocoa. That sounded good. And the best place to get it in Hogsmeade was the Three Broomsticks. The Hog's Head was alright, but it wasn't always... clean. And it was farther away and he was cold.
Untucking his scarf, Pierson kicked off the snow from his boots and walked into The Three Broomsticks and ordered himself a nice mug of hot chocolate before finding a seat at a table by the roaring fireplace. Ahhh, yes, this was pleasant. Hogsmeade was just as he remembered it.

Admittedly, the Charms professor had started to zone out into his own little world as he sipped on his cocoa and stared at the fire, thinking about Christmas and other things that he didn't know what to do about. He was almost startled when he heard someone address him - oh, and look! There was a student right there. How observant he was.
"Ah, Miss Moretti, hello." He gave his student a smile and a nod. "I trust you're enjoying the Hogsmeade Weekend?" The ones in the winter had always been her personal favorites.

She huffed and rolled her eyes, tossing the menu back on the table. Forget about it? How can I simply forget about it? Is he stupid? A frown showed and she tapped her fingernails on the table and sighed. Taylor closed her eyes and took a deep breath, rubbing her temples, trying to relax. She was here to have fun with Wade... forget about all others but him... the kitty guy... A laugh and a smile escaped her lips and she reopened her eyes, genuinely smiling.
Wade was liking Hogsmeade weekend. The trips out of Hogwarts and its grounds were more than welcoming for him. So he had been looking forward to hanging out with his friends here. One of them was Tay, who was so cool and awesome with her twirling and realistic barking. It was still amusing and awesome on how they met and became such good friends since then.
Once inside, Wade searched around to see where she was... Aha. Finally he found Tay, though alone at a booth waiting. She must be thirsty, he thought, getting him to make a first stop at the bar to order and pay for two butterbeers. He took them right over to where she was at, his hair slightly ruffling a little on its own as he passed by the nearby Professor Fuller, before smiling back at her as he made his tiger kitty *Purrrrrrrrrr* noise at her. "Sorry for the wait, I got us some drinks." He set them down before joining her in the sitting, "I'm so glad that Hogsmeade's open again."
Last he heard was on her and his mate, Nash's mutual crush on each other.. yet they weren't dating. That always got his brows furrowing, before remembering how long it took him to finally ask his Indy out. He hoped things were still good between the two, which got him asking. "So how've you been, Tay? Anything new lately?"

I haven't seen you at school. Are you new?" she asked in her usual curious manner.
Looking sideways as Adrienne, she gave her friend a confused look, who was this girl? And why was she here?
He was watching her that kind of watchingness that made you feel like a genetic mutant who had just been let out of the cage and thrown into the normal world. Louisa knew who watched people like that, but didn't bother making that conclusion now, and instead she started eating the first piece of chocolate in slow motion - making all the disgusting sounds and stuff.
... of him? Okay, the slow motion charade was dropped as her eyebrows knotted. "He? He who?" Pause. "The Brazil Nut nickname giver?" She forced out a laugh and popped another piece of chocolate into her mouth. "I think he hides what he knows of most people." Including Joao liking him secretly. Maybe it was just for the sake of Adam? Even if Adam was practically missing for a year now, no contact, no word from him.
BUT, she wasn't here to complain or whine or be gloomy. Louisa perked up, grinned revealing some chocolate stained teeth, and answered instantly, "A glass of firewhiskey please, with this chocolate." Yum yum yummm. She licked her teeth and took ANOTHER chocolate. "Those are so good, thank you." Chewing and talking. She was being completely herself today. Hopefully her dress didn't fool Joao into thinking she changed or matured because then he was up for a big surprise, hehe.

That might have sounded harsh, but it was true. Paulie did look silly most of the time. But pilots ought to be clever, so Joăo was going to accept he was.

Because meeting up with an old friend after a year and a half, in the middle of the day obliged her to get drunk. In his book. AND one glass of firewhiskey was supposedly going to send her into a phase of oblivion. SNORT.

His face hardened as he failed to see the sarcasm in her voice. Many responses passed through his mind, but all were childish. Well. He rubbed his temples while she was proving she was an adult. Because that was exactly what adults did: getting drunk right after greeting a friend.
He had this sweet smile when she returned with the bottle and watched her with interest as she took a sip.
"I've moved to London," he said as if nothing had happened. Only, his face was flushed and he was breathing a little more heavily.

She was, as it was obvious, trying to get drunk within the first minute of seeing him.

She wasn't a child anymore though, obviously, because she could drink bloody firewhiskey. Well. He rubbed his temples while she was proving she was an adult. Because that was exactly what adults did: getting drunk right after greeting a friend.
He had this sweet smile when she returned with the bottle and watched her with interest as she took a sip. Then, while she wasn't holding the drink, he grabbed it quickly and drank it all at once. He made a face as he swallowed it--it BURNT!--but didn't back off. If she was still the same Louisa, things would get ugly but he didn't care. He wasn't going to let her be drunk, and this was an attitude.
"I've moved to London," he said as if nothing had happened. Only, his face was flushed and he was breathing a little more heavily.
"With you?"
"What, like, permanently? You live here now? What about school?" He couldn't have finished so fast, no matter how smart he thought he was. "I'm on my summer break. I stay here until February, unless something happens and I go back there running." Like her stepdad being a prick.

What a happy coincidence this was, indeed. Cat was thrilled but she felt like she was doing a good job at keeping it under wraps. Surely it was okay that she had a crush on her professor, right? Lots of people crushed on professors. Lots. She was sure. Lots.
"I am, thank you. Are you?" She rubbed her hands together and placed them on her red cheeks. "S'so cold out though." He definitely had the right idea, sitting by the fire and drinking... was that hot chocolate? YUM. Cat was soooo getting some of that too.

Taylor glanced up as she heard a purr. At the sight of Wade, she automatically lit up and hugged him tightly. "WADE!" She gave him a big bright smile and danced before barking softly in his ear... not wanting people to look at them and get embarrassed. Tay slid back into her seat and then her eyes grew, "That is so sweet of you!" Taylor smiled and took her butterbeer and took a sip. "Thanks so much, Wade." She took her purse out and got out 10 sickles, putting them on the table and pushing them over to him, "Here, take these." Tay smiled at him, "I am so glad that it is open again as well!" Taylor beamed and then took 2 things from her coat and pushing them over to him. "Soooo I heard you are having a birthday." She gestured to the two presents that she had gotten him... one was a small jar of pickles while the other one was a quidditch themed keychain, "I know it isn't much but... I thought you might like them, ya know?" Tay glanced down then smiled at him, "Me? Ummm... I am good... I guess..." Taylor blushed and twisted a curl or two. "I had a date recently..." She glanced down with a lovey-dovey smile, thinking of Nash and then she pushed it aside. Tay looked up and smiled at him again, "What about you? How have you been? Anything new?"

Zéline saw a younger girl approaching and simply looked at the newcomer, blinking a few times as she spoke. "'Us?'" She looked around. "Us who?" As in, how many of them? Zéline was ok at socializing, but please, not a crowd. Not sure she'd be able to keep up, she only shrugged her shoulders before joining them. She turned to the other girl who had also spoken. "'Ello, I am Zéline Labelle" Zéline introduced herself, pronouncing her name in a perfect French accent. "I am frrom Marseille, France." The last two word was also spoken in a French accent. Surely they would understand. "What do you mean 'new'?" Zéline asked the second girl. "I am not going to study at 'ogwarts."

"TAY!" What could he say, Wade couldn't help but brighten his smile wider as he was hugged tightly. He loved hugs, especially from friends, getting him to hug her back just as tightly. He laughed as he heard her bark in his ear, it was never a dull moment between the two.. Here?
Wade's brows furrowed as he saw her reach into her purse.. to take out money for him. His brows raised before he looked back at her smiling softly, "Oh don't worry about it, Tay. It's on me." His hand took those ten sickles to kindly pass them back to her. He liked being generous, plus he knew everybody had to save their moneys while Hogwarts still had some fees to be taken care of. But it didn't stop there, next thing she pulled out were two items, one was... oh wow a keychain and...... pickles.
Wade blinked at them.. "Whoa.." Right. His birthday. He was eighteen on the 1th of December. He looked back at Tay as he hugged her again before holding the jar of pickles and quidditch themed keychain in his arms before blinking back at her. "Tay.. these are perfect. Thank you!" Okay, so he'll definitely keep these. They were going to be used gratefully. *Sniff *Sniff*... What? He liked the smell of pickles. "I love them!" See, he was already fastening the keychain on, before popping open the jar of pickles. Taking just one, he ate it with pride savouring the flavor. "Mm.. delicious." He laughed a little before closing the lid back on to save the precious pickles for later.
"Well, that's good." Wade then looked very interested in hearing what Tay was saying, especially after talking about a date she had recently. "..Yeah?" His smile widened. "With who? So how was your date?" Oh, and him? "Not too much, just those patrols I have to do and Quidditch practice." He blinked though as he suddenly remembered, "My dad told me I was going to be a big brother soon.. him and his girlfriend are having twins."
... he drank her drink. Louisa stared at him for a moment then at her empty glass. "You drank my glass. I paid for it." She informed him casually, before getting up and bringing back a whole bottle. TWO can play this game, Mr. Neves. "I told them you'll pay for this." With a smirk, she filled the bottom of the glass again and quickly sipped from it before he took it TOO.
"What, like, permanently? You live here now? What about school?" He couldn't have finished so fast, no matter how smart he thought he was. "I'm on my summer break. I stay here until February, unless something happens and I go back there running." Like her stepdad being a prick.
"Permanently, yes. It's been 3,5 years, Louisa," he said, once his throat burnt less. "The course was for 4 years anyway. It's not that hard, especially if you have a mother like mine." He smirked. She might be muggle, but that was hardly a problem for her. She could still meet the correct people.
"But do you like it there?" Last time they'd talked... she was sharing a room with a boy.

Tora looked about until she saw her friend Adrienne standing on her other side. "Hey! How are you doing?" she grinned and motioned for her to come sit down. When she realized that Adrienne was also inviting over a student Tora had never seen before. "Oh, hello," she said unsure of what to say for a moment, but Adrienne had already invited her over, so she might as well introduce herself. "I'm Tora Gallaway. Where are you from? I haven't seen you at school. Are you new?" she asked in her usual curious manner.
Looking sideways as Adrienne, she gave her friend a confused look, who was this girl? And why was she here?
"Oh, you know, the usual, halfway ready to kill someone and halfway just enjoying the freedom of Hogsmeade," Adrienne said in response. Perhaps she was exaggerating a bit, yes, but at least her usual state of annoyed was being changed up a bit. "And you?"

I spend my summers quite near there, in Aix-en-Provence. Are you from Beauxbatons, then?" she asked, flipflopping back and forth between French and English accents for the various words in each language. She hadn't spoken to anyone from France since school had started, except for a few letters to Mamie and Papie, so she was excited to meet someone new from there. "It's nice to meet you, Zéline," she said, pronouncing the name exactly how the girl had done it.

Tay beamed as he said her name and then it became even wider as he hugged her back just as tightly. She loved how he laughed at the bark in his hair. Taylor giggled at his laugh and smiled up at him. The story of their meeting came to mind and she burst into more giggles. Her eyes were lit with amusement and they twinkled with joy.
She frowned slightly as his eyebrows furrowed. Tay gave him a small pout and fluttered her eyelashes, ”Please, Wade, think of it as a birthday gift. Taylor clasped her hands together in a begging pose. She beamed at what he said about the gifts, ”I was hoping you would like them. I ran into Alec and he said it was your birthday and I asked him for gift ideas. I knew that you liked pickles and played quidditch but I didn’t know you were a chaser… especially as wonderful at it as he seemed to think… You should hear his praises… I have to see you play sometime… but I bet you are just as wonderful as I am told you are.” Tay smiled and held back a chuckle as he smelt them. ”I am glad you love them.” Her smile sweeten as he already clipped the keychain on and ate a pickle. ”I am glad that you think they are delicious.” She beamed at him.
Tay smiled, ”Yep.” When he asked with who and how was it, she went bright red, ”Umm… Nash… and it was good, a picnic by the duck pond.” Taylor glanced down with a smile that showed how much she had fallen for him. She twisted a blonde curl around her finger and sighed, happily then looked back up at him. ”Patrols and practices? How can you keep on top of it all? I can hardly do classes and practices.” Tay laughed and smiled, ”Congrats on the soon-to-be siblings… and twins, ya say? I am a twin…” She beamed, ”Twins are the best!” Taylor giggled.
Joăo smirked and was about to make a witty comeback when she got up. It didn't need a Hermione Granger to know she was going to get another--
--bottle. Right.
And he was going to pay for it.
"I'm not the--" he started, but changed his mind. If she just assumed he could afford it, he was going to. Grudgingly. But he wasn't going to mention money, not to her. She might question his reasons too, and he wasn't quite ready for another interrogation.
"Of course I'll pay," he said with another sweet smile. Sure. He was the rich kid.
He reached for the bottle and her glass. He kept his hand around the bottle as if it was his most precious belonging, and emptied the glass. It wasn't to teach her a lesson this time, though. He needed courage, and firewhiskey should give him that. If she tried to reach the bottle, he was placing it down the table. Agreed?

Considering that Paulie assured her that Joao never means to hurt Louisa or jab at her with his comments, Louisa let the "of course I'll pay" slide. It was one of Joao's favorite things, anyways; To pay for a lady. So. She saw nothing that indicated he changed in that matter. Yet. Who knew what his girlfriend implanted in his head?
She let him have those and leaned forward on the table. Her hand going for the chocolate again. "Three and a half years, huh? Time flies by so quickly. It makes sense then." To come here where his friends and girlfriend resided after finishing his commitments in Brazil. "And what are you going to do now? Work? Do you have a flat? Did you talk to your dad?" She knew his family's history, okay? No need to dodge or feel embarrassed, they were beyond that.
How did she like it there? Ah. Louisa leaned back in her chair and crossed her legs, "I'm very happy there, thank you. The good thing about living in a far off place is that you can have all the time to think things over without distractions or emotional pressure from your family and friends. The downside of living there is feeling homesick and sometimes lonely." Especially if you have a flatmate who teaches his puppy to pee in your bed if you leave the room's door open. "But this is what I want. Nothing is perfect, and nothing worthy comes easily." So.

Joăo nodded. That much time had really passed in a blink of an eye. He traced the edge of the glass with his finger absent-mindedly as he thought about his mother once again. Luckily though, Louisa asked him another question soon enough.
"I've applied to British Ministry," he said and smirked to himself. Louisa learnt it before Aspen did. If his girlfriend found out she was the last one to know, he was getting a thorough hex. He wouldn't really blame her, but he liked to surprise her too.
"I talked to him before applying, yes. He supports my decision, but said I should have my own flat. Helped me with renting one in Tottenham." And he'd paid for everything ever since. Joăo had been here for only a week, but he had settled down so he'd needed a lot of money. His dad was really the best.
The Brazilian eyed her for a second because realising she hadn't asked about his mother. Good. He wasn't prepared to talk about her. She was a whole different story than his father and... he still couldn't get over her words.

He nodded after listening to her. "I'm glad you are happy," he said with a smile. "You know you can ask me if you ever need help with your coursework." His smile got wider. She was following him in faculty and it amused him for some reason. Probably because she used to look so down on politics, yet now she was saying it was her dream too.
"How is your room-mate?" Still a male? Could Joăo hide his dislike for the situation? Hopefully, yes.

"Thirteen years?" Cat thought she did a valiant job of hiding how surprised she was. Thirteen years was indeed a long time, two years short of her WHOLE LIFE. Wow. Woooooooooooow. Professor Facial Hair was OLD. He was still quite good looking though, and he had epic facial hair, so she was willing to overlook the age thing.
Even if he was old.

Oh good. He didn't mind if she sat with him. That would've been super awkward. She hadn't meant to, but she was super interested in talking about Greece. "I bet. I'd love to visit some day. Is there a place that is nicer than the others? I was in Egypt a while this summer, have you ever been there? It's aweeesomeee."
Culture, food, weather.... fascinating, incredible and fantastic. Ugh, it sounded perfect.

So, Wade figured she was just repaying on him ordering. But when she mentioned birthday gift and then the frown, well, he was taken aback to say the least."Well... alright" Wade accepted the ten sickles, "Thanks Tay." pocketing it while smiling softly at her so she didn't seem upset anymore. Wade was very happy with the gifts, he wondered how Tay thought of the perfect stuff, when she mentioned Alec. "Oh..that was nice of him." He smiled, somewhat touched that his Quidditch playing was seen as wonderful. "That's sweet of you to say, Tay. I hope I don't disappoint having you watch me play." He winked, before laughing. "So what about you? I heard you tried out for the team this year"
Though Wade was smiling, one of his brows rose slightly at her redness. Ah.. so it was Nash. He listened as she talked about where they had it at. "That does sound nice.. I'm glad you two had a good time. So, you two are going to see more of each other then, right?" He began sipping some of butterbeer, which coated his little stache already, before shrugging while smiling. "I dunno.. I guess I got more energy than during OWLs year. I slept so much during then. " Which was true, the studying was exhausting then. "and thanks, I'm quite excited about helping take care of them." He then looked at Tay surprised, "Really? I didn't know that, so whose your twin?" Laughing a little with her, "Yeah, they're double the fun!"
She hadn't the slightest clue as to why she ventured out here today, not one, but here she was, alone, and just wanting to get out of the castle for a change.
Surprisingly so the seventh year opted for a dres and paired it with some leggings and a jacket to keep her warm in the chilly December air.
She should get food or something, or maybe just sit and people watch.. with some pumpkin juice.
so that's what she did, went to the bar, got a pumpkin juice and sat at a table by herself, and watched everyone.
