Laura needed to see the Headmistress about something important but unfortunately it being the first day back and everything. She hadn't asked the Headmistress at the feast if she could so she didn't know the password which was going to be a problem because to see the Headmistress you had to get passed the Gargoyles.

Laura decided that she would just wait at the Gargoyles and just hope that the Headmistress would have to come out at sometime because serious the Headmistress couldn't stay in her office all day right.

"Miss Hyde...." the redhead remarked in surprise as she stepped out from behind the gargoyles. Darn, she'd caught her. "What brings you to my office today?"

Laura smiled as the headmistress asked her the question. "Well I was thinking over the summer that I only have a few terms left and I was wondering if you could help me decided what career I should focus on going in for." Laura had no idea what she wanted to be but she knew it was important that she chose.

Laura took out a piece of parchment and handed it to the Headmistress. "I know I've disappointed you with the OWL score, I feel like I've let the school down but don't worry I'll do a lot better with my NEWT exams." Laura was trying to be as apologetic as she could.



Laura looked at the Headmistress and just decided that the best thing to do would be to wait and see what the Headmistress had to say about what was on the parchment.

Oh, career advice? Anastasia could give good career advice, and she always did enjoy being asked for advice. She just knew everything, see. "I used to advise wizarding university students on which career path to take," she proudly informed Laura as she took the paper at the same time. "I'd be happy to help you."

Bunz glanced down at the OWL results and read them thoroughly. She passed the paper back to Laura with a secretive smile. "Do you want to talk about this in my office?" It sure beat standing around down here in five inch stilettos.

Laura looked at the headmistress. "I thought you would have." Laura said truthfully. "That is why I wanted to ask you because I knew you would be awesome at giving out advice." Laura said truthfully, she was glad the headmistress was going to help her.

Laura smiled at the headmistress. "Yeah please." Laura was going to get to see the heads office, she'd never been there before which was a surprise with all the time she had been in trouble. "Thanks for saying you'd help me." Laura was really glad and she was glad the Headmistress wasn't upset with her for the results that she had got.

Alexa had worked out her schedule and decided that between homework that she didn't plan to do and practice that she was threatened and hauled out of her bed to do by a vicious Captain at ungodly hours this would be the perfect time for her to get through with plans she'd made with the Headmistress. Well....in all honesty...it was more like...plans she and Aquila had forced on the woman but the fact that she agreed made this okay. And the fact that she didn't set a date, gave Lex the creative liberty! Today it was!

Her kneazle was slung over her shoulder, enjoying the ride to the stone gargoyles while she carried with her a basket. Don't ask, we won't tell, but you'll find out eventually.

Now to wait...and wait...--what if the Headmistress had other plans for today?? Naturally Lex expected her to clear her schedule if she did, like the Gryffindor had but the woman could be so stubborn sometime.

After another 30 seconds of PATIENT waiting she rubbed her face against her kneazle giving him a gentle nudge. "You wanna go check if she's in her office for me?" He could get to the door and listen. No? It didn't look like he was willing to check...she'd just have to keep waiting which she did by plopping to the floor and folding her legs like a pretzel. Might as well get comfy. The woman had a habit of taking her time.

Anastasia was actually on her way HOME to Hogsmeade, and as it were, she happened to be taking Gingersnapple home for the evening too. Davie was testing something on the cat, she wasn't sure what, but neither seemed to mind the other. So to home they would go!

...or not. What was Cambridge doing outside her stone gargoyles? Camping? Annie wrinkled her nose at the sight of the girl and her................ feline.... and adjusted her hold on her own. Gingy was staring at the other animal and tensing up, Annie could just tell. Poor baby.

But. Maybe they could just avoid this encounter all together, mmm? "Cambridge," she said stiffly, determined to just brush on by altogether. If the girl didn't stop her, she wouldn't have to stop. Right? Right.

It was the clicking of heels that alerted her to the fact that someone was coming down those stair. Either the Headmistress had guests or that was her personally. Lex didn't mind which. Guests leaving meant she was now free and her walking down here meant she could ambush her--they could even have the picnic right heeeere on the grrrooound!!!

Felix slid from her neck and snuggled between her and the basket she'd placed in her lap while she waited. Whoever it was...they weren't terribly bad. Felix didn't mind. Kneazles could tell these things

Her face lit up the moment the woman came into view but the smile slowly faded into a look of confusion as Headmistress Truebridge briefly acknowledged her then kept walking. What the kneazle??? Nooooooo. "Wait! Headmistress!!" Lex hopped off the ground and hurried after the lady, cutting her off before she could get too far. "hold on a sec!" More than a sec really but saying that would only make her push pass her and continue walking. Not that there was anything stopping her at the moment.

Alexa fixed a wide grin in place and ignored the intent look her kneazle was giving the Headmistress' cat. One thing was for sure. He'd better not ruin this for her. "I thought we could have that kitty play date now! Aquila's not here so it's just yooooou and meeeeeeeee" BEAM.

The redhead sighed. If only she'd taken the floo this evening...

"Kitty play date....." the redhead adjusted the orange feline currently clawing her shoulder. "Yeahhhh... about thaaaaaat....... Gingy doesn't really like stranger cats, see." See? She pried Gingersnapple off her shoulder and held him out toward Alexa and her kneazle. The ginger cat crinkled his already-squashy face and let out a low, snobby hisssssssssssssss at the other cat.

"See?" A play date would be no good. NO GOOD. Now really, she had to be heading home to her boys....

Excuses excuses, Lex mentally waved them off as nothing more than the Headmistress being a little nervous about this bonding time they were about to have. She didn't suspect the Headmistress had a lot of students coming to play with her, merlin knows some of them were just SO sensitive. Like, pffft, getting offended when she suddenly fast walked away, or when she scowled upon seeing them but not Lex. Nope. She had a strong backbone and was as oblivious as circe knows what. She would be the company the Headmistress so desperately wanted but was to shyyyyy to ask for. That being said...ahem:

"AAAAWWWWWWWW!!!!!" Lex gave the agitated cat a few kissy faces while moving Felix a little further away. He didn't seem all that thrilled about the company either. The way his fur bristled said it all. "Look how CUTE he is when he tries to act like he doesn't like other felines!! They'll be best buds in NO TIME!!"

Lex was prepared to lie to herself for as long as it took to get the Headmistress on board with this idea. "I think he'll be just fine. Now we can stay down here on the floor--I don't mind or we could go back to your office, I haven't been there in a while, have you remodeled? Is the sorting hat still in the corner I remember it in? Do you close your windows now???"

All questions that could be answered over some snacks and EPIC CONVERSATION!!! It'd be like the time she bonded with Ivy Knox in detention...even if the woman seemed a bit eager to get rid of her...like the Headmistress had been during their first detention together. Merlin that brought back memories. Did SHE remember??? Lex did.

Gingersnapple LIKED kissy faces. His human made them to herself in the mirror allllllllll the time, did this littler human know that? He tilted his squashed-in face up toward the girl making kissing faces but... then he remembered the other cat. And so the hissing started again, along with an occasional, "Mrowrrrrrrgggrrrr," thrown in for good measure.

Anastasia, meanwhile, let out an audible sigh. Look, Alexa's own cat kneazle thing could hardly be called 'enthused' for this meeting. She pursed her lips at all the questions about her office and hastily decided they should stay FAR, FAR away from it.

"Let's go to the....... seating area, Alexa, shall we?" Maybe she could lose the girl on the way over there.

It was nearing the time for the next round of the competition to start so Headmaster Zitnik thought it appropriate he check in with Headmistress Truebridge to see how his students had been doing in his absence. Of course he already knew some of their antics thanks to one of his loyal students checking in with him. He wanted to see if there had been any other things going on that he had not been made aware of.

Now, how was it he got to her office? Was there a doorbell on these statues or what?

There was a doorbell, of sorts, but it only rang in Anastasia's office when someone was outside her stone gargoyle. Sometimes she would choose to answer it. Sometimes she would choose to ignore it. It all depended on the person.

Headmaster Zitnik was important enough for her to answer it. "Helllllllllo hellllllo," she called out as she floated down her rotating staircase and appeared from behind the stone statue. "How can I help you, Headmaster? It's such a pleasant surprise to seeeeee you."

Not really. But she flashed him a fake smile nonetheless.
