Students, staff, alumni, and curious bypassers....all are welcome to join in the fun and have a seat here in the spacious grandstand. You can see all three contest arenas from here: Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and even Hogwarts. Never mind that all are tiny and far away and the contestants look like shrimps! They're doing great!
You're more than welcome to clap, cheer, hold up signs, and do the wave, but don't be surprised if the contestants can't see or hear you. They are FOCUSED. And they're also enclosed in their own little areas, but it's the thought that counts!

The Head Girl definitely in here. She wasn't going to miss the chance of leading Hogwarts and be supportive, you know? This time, it was for West and Alec. They'd both be competing today, if she wasn't mistaken. Kat would still have hers later after lunch. She was here to watch the first task so she could pick something up from this one for hers later. This was a different feeling from competiting against other houses in Quidditch, because this was a moment of truth to show Beauxbatons and Durmstrang who's the better school. Heck yeah.
Kat sat down. Was she the first one? Or one of the first few? The place looked deserted and nobody was here except her. And yeah, she was going to wait for Alec and West to show up in their arena. And maybe the other school competitors, but mostly for the Hogwarts representatives. SCHOOL PRIDE, EVERYONE?
And she totally had a banner. Because who cares if she embarrassed herself? At least she'd do it for Hogwarts.

EBWEQBSC!
Oh, you know. Beezus was here of course. That has been her role this term - cheering. And she rather liked it mighty fine. She loved supporting people and pushing them forward, even if it meant she was going to be left behind.
Getting weird again, Beatrice, she thought to herself.
At least her get up wasn't weird. She was sporting her usual, jeans and shirt (HOGWARTS SHIRT) get up with a comfy pair of wedge sneakers. Oh, and a white rose tucked on her ear. And as usual, she had pompoms on each hand, made of the four hogwarts colors.
She was waving it rather enthusiastically as she waltzed to the Stands. Woop, early bird she was. But hey, it looks as though there was an earlier snake there already.
"Dazzlerrrr!" Beezus flopped on the seat next to the Head Girl, purposely bumping hard into her before standing up again and waving her pompoms in the air. Round One was starting.
Midnight robes billowing behind him, the tall Ukrainian made his way to the specified judges seat and sat down with nothing more than a polite inclination of the head towards the students already present.
Only Hogwarts students here? How disappointing.
His russet eyes scanned the areas below before they returned to his black dragonhide gloved hands resting in his lap.

Seriously, Sky wasn't surprised that she hadn't been picked to compete. She knew she was an average student at best. But she did want to come down and support her school. She did want them to win, not for Bunz, but for Hogwarts' pride. Yep, because it seemed almost none existent lately, what with the financial struggles the school was still going through and all.
She hurried up into stands and picked a seat, one where her flag wouldn't be in anyone's way. Ready to watch......

Headmistress Maximilliene Enzo gracefully made her way up into the Grand stands in a set of silky metallic blue robes.
Letting her piercing blue eyes scan the stands, she saw that none of her student's had arrived yet. They'd better arrive or she wouldn't be very pleased.
Pulling on her new pair of black mitten's she passed the gentleman in the midnight robes (Fedir) and chose a seat some seats away from him, but still with a good view of the arena.

Any excuse to get out of actually going to school: Dale was so there. It was also a good excuse to spend time with a friend. She sure didn't define him as much else even if their relationship was more complex than that, and rather thought it was mutual anyway.
It was going to be a little weird cheering people on for something that was like, what, intellect-based? And there was going to be a million Hogwarts kids here, even her own date used to be one.
They had got snacks on their way in too, stopping at the Three Broomsticks, and Dale had a Latte in her hands.

Cheering. Airey LIVED for this sort of thing and it was the only occasion where he would let his hair down. IF he had long flowing locks that is. As it were he did not have these but still had more hair than LeoBALD, but he let loose in different ways. Wrapped around his head in true teenage boy fashion were four neckties. Once in each house color. He, of course, had a suit just for the occasion as well. After seeing the color coding on the event's program, Airey had gone through his closet and found a Hogwarts matching magenta suit.
Making his way towards a seat in the front, the Astronomy professor passed by a few students and greeted each of them along the way. "Miss Hudson, Miss Castell, Miss Carter-Hope...STELLAR to see you all here and supporting your school." The signs got two thumbs way waaaaay up, by the way.
Once in his seat, he noticed the unfamiliar faces in the crowd. Shoot, he probably should have introduced himself or at least said hello to them, but he was clearly too far away to do so NOW...so he instead smiled and bowed his head towards them. That counted, yes?
His attention on the arenas now, Airey felt his feet a tapping and his shoulders swaying. Oh yes. It was song time. "Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts, Teach us something, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeae...althoughyoualreadyshouldhav etaughtusenoughtowinthistaaaaaaaaask!"

Botros was nervous. How 'bout that. He was sitting quietly on the stands, a little away from all the noisy and excited students. He had had his breakfast, released Feo in the grounds around the groundskeeper's hut, and headed towards Hogsmeade himself, and his cane.
Now he was fully focused on the big arena stretched out before them, he had his hands folded on top of his cane and his chin resting there. Motionless, and hoping he could've really seen what was going on down there. He had very high expectations of his students, though. Best of the best. But he was still nervous. And excited. And nervous.
EBWEQBSC was not the best acronym for this scholastic tournament thing. In Nigel's opinion the official name was too long to even need one. Plus how do you even say EBWEQBSC. Questions to ponder. But of Course Nigel would be here cheering on West and Awesome Haired Dude Alec. He did not want the Beuxs and Durms to win.
It seemed when he got there. He was the first fifth year to arrive. .....Wait was Flamsteed wearing pink and singing? All Nigel could do was stare and think he bit his tongue half way through singing the school song. Too much excitement probably.
Yeah. Seat then watch.

With his heavy walking stick in his hand, Headmaster Zitnik stood at the entrance of the grandstand with four of his students behind him. The other two were already at their assigned area awaiting the official start of the first task.
Finding the perfect place for him and his team to sit he looked back over his shoulder. "This way students." With his blood-red robes that were fastened with an ornate silver clasp flowing behind him, he lead his team to their seats. Before sitting Zitnik stuck the grandstand with his walking stick.

This was it, yeah? The start of the competition. Ella swelled with a feeling of pride for her school and even more, for Alec. He'd be participating in the first task with West and she had confidence in both of them. They were completely different and somehow she thought this would help. Maybe one would see what the other couldn't and all that. Anyway, the blonde bit her lip and made her way through the stands, looking for familiar faces.
Professor Botros looked nervous. Lonely too but he'd probably sat by himself on purpose, yeah? Ella gave him a small smile as she passed and a quiet, "Hello Professor." She didn't want to bother him, though.
And Airey's suit? WOW. Ella blinked several times at it because how could you not, right? Not everyone could pull off that color but he totally did. The man oozed style. Plus the bright color reminded her of hearts and Airey was clearly in love with Romanos so maybe he was trying to make a statement? Grin! One thing was for sure, she wouldn't be able to miss him in that. "Nice suit, Professor!"
Settling down over by Kat and Bee, the blonde tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and smiled. "Hey, you guys!" They didn't mind the company, right? Then she casually took out a Hogwarts flag and waved it along to Professor Airey's song, waiting for the competition to begin.

That was one interesting event. So cool, huh? Competition against two other schools. Her friends were so gonna win this. Pffft. The snake left the common room and headed out towards the grandstands. And she had money with her. Did they have to pay here, too? Hmm? Clearly not. NICE!
She looped her fingers around her bags straps and marched up the stands. A bunch were already there. Cassia offered smiles as she passed the old Runes' man. And her smile grew wider at the singing of Airey. She would have totally sang. But better not to do it in public. Was that Dale! Hi neighbor! Cassia waved at her.
The fifth-year picked a spot near the others and sat down. She looked around taking in the faces. HAI GIRLS! She waved at the other girls. Kat was gonna be in one of these right? Right! And Nigel was there. The prefect received a nod.
Her brown eyes lingered on the two strangers. Adult man and woman. Apparently from the two other schools or probably just visitors. Not giving it much thought she turned her attention to the arena ahead of her. WEST AND ALEC! She was going to cheer for them! WOOT! Until cheering though, she wouldn't mind company. Rest of friends should be coming soon, right!

Kat had brought a pair of binoculars, because she had EXPECTED this. What with how limited their view was from the Stands in the Quidditch Pitch, how much more would it be if they were in a BIGGER arena with even MORE people who were watching? She was prepared for this, and she might lend her binoculars to someone else in the Stands during lunchtime because, after lunch, she'd be down THERE too. With her pseudo!sister, Alexa Cambridge. She might need a pep talk from someone, or probably a mental one too. These are the times when she needed an Elise or a Cle. SIGHS.

GO WEST and ALEC!
OOOOOOOF. Oi. Did someone just bump her? Kat groaned a bit and rubbed the part where the person bumped her, before sending side!glares to whoever it once. Her glare then shifted into a blink. Huh? Bee? A small smile made its way on Kat's face. It was great to see one of her favourite Ravenclaws outside after a long time of not seeing her. "Hi Stunner," she greeted her. At least some of the nerves were set aside. She didn't need them, at all.
Hmm. "Colorful pompoms," Kat added. And yeah, she was RAISING HER 'GO HOGWARTS' banner too. And she charmed it as well, so that it could also say 'Go West and Alec' and a reallllllly tiny 'kick some butt' note down below. They wouldn't be able to see it, but HOGWARTS PRIDE.

Flammy! Hello, Professor Flamsteed. Merlin, he sure was really supportive. There was never a time when he missed a Hogwarts Quidditch match, you know? Kat liked him for that. "Hey, Professor! Glad to see you here too," she said with a beam. Oh, and his two thumbs up were returned as well. Kat gave him a two thumbs up too.
And, he was singing the Hogwarts song... with a twist. Heh, okay then.

Meep!
Ella was there too. And sitting beside both of them. YAY. Quidditch!student leader!buddies, then? That was cool. "Hey, Ella," she smiled right back at the Hufflepuff Quidditch Captain. Kat knew she would be here, for Alec. But also, not JUST for Alec. This was for the whole school and, as far as she could see, the Beauxbatons headmistress and the Durmstrang headmaster were the only ones who weren't from Hogwarts in here. And some dude she didn't know. Probably just a bystander, but he looked important.
"Here to support Alec?" Kat wiggled her eyebrows. The Head Girl also saw her Slytherin sister, Cassia. She returned the girl's wave. She was probably here to support Hogwarts too (duh) and mostly, to support her, Kat. Conceited? I think yes.

Hecate Lafay Greingoth (yes, she was trying it on for size 5 years after she married) made her way in the grandstands. She looked around to see where her colleagues were sitting. She had a magenta pin she'd place on her right once she sat down.

Leave it up to Flamsteed to wear something so flamboyant to embarrass the whole school. She assumed he's wear a Magenta tie... maybe a shirt... but he was head to toe dressed in the bright color rarely found in nature... She shook her head as she found a spot as far as she could from the crazy man.

Cutty was horridly bundled almost to the extent that he resembled a small pile of dirty, well-worn laundry. He'd managed to get an 'Well, we'll see about that' out of his mother about an extra bit of dosh for Hogsmeade, but either she was late, had completely forgotten or wasn't able to comply. And that was exactly why Cutty hated asking her for anything.
He was looking quite frustrated about it all when he'd taken a seat in the Grandstands after finishing up restocking for his stores. Between the hood and the scarf, all that could really be seen was his pair of angry little eyes. Without really realizing it, Cutty took a seat as near to the elder people as he could get, not really caring to be around other children too much, save the Slytherins.
Bronislava stood at attention, in line with three of her classmates behind their Headmaster, waiting for his instruction. At his word, she silently and stoically followed behind him into the grandstand, the only expression on her face was that of complacent confidence. She was here for two reasons - to win in her own event and to provide support for her team in their events. No need to make eye contact as she saw that as a friendly gesture, one that was not necessary today, she walked with an air of superiority to the spot Headmaster had selected for them.
Staring straight ahead, she waited for his signal to let everyone know that they had arrived. Bronislava waited for a moment, her head held high, as she was sure everyone's eyes were on them as the walking stick came banging down on the ground, then she took her seat in their designated spot. She directed her eyes to the arena where she knew two of her classmates were to begin the first task, confident of their success.
Karina followed her Headmaster, proudly keeping her head up and her eyes peeled. She was back in her red and black school uniform and the school colors gave her stride an extra fierceness. She barely looked at the students, but her senses were sharpened to any possible form of aggression from anyone; when she did manage to spare a glance, here dark blue eyes were piercing and confident. Her red hair, normally kept down, was now in a complex pattern of harsh braids. All of these things were meant to show how sure she was that she would win this.
Her posture straightened even more when Headmaster banged his stick, her pride for her school clearly written in every line of her body. Durmstrang would win, there was no doubt, but the competition still apparently needed to be told.

BANG!
That's right. Durmstrang in the house!
Maximillienne was sitting in her seet, looking on as the stands filled up around her with students, mainly 'ogwartians. Beau and Zéline were in the assigned area waiting for the competition to be begin, and her four other student's were if they knew what was good for them, making their way into the stands to cheer on their friends.
Hearing a loud BANG that caused her seat to russtle Maximillienne eyes darted around landing on Headmaster Zitnik. He was of course the racket. Waving to him she smiled. "Long time no see old friend."
There was singing in the stands, and Dora wasn't surprised the least bit that it was coming from her Astromony professor. Was it just him or were things moving too slow? And this was coming from him. He let out a deep breath and-- "Oh! Hello, miss Miroslava." He was glad it was one of the quiet students, and the girl got a warm smile before he moved his attention back to the arena.

Botros looked away again, and he smiled widely at the Potions mistress. "Mistress Lafay." He answered before chuckling, not really bothering to see if she was serious about her question or reprimanding him or just joking (it was highly unlikely the last since he never saw her laugh before but still), "Not really. My muddy punishment proved to be effective, though. The girl came to my office earlier this term and apologized. She's earned her points back." He informed the head of house proudly, twinkling eyes and everything. She should be proud with him! twinkling isn't necessary though

Heh. She was getting side-glares from this girl? Ohoho, no...see? She was smiling now because the one who bumped into her intentionally was a Beezus and Beezuses were very good friends with Katrinas and Beezuses wouldn't back down to any girl whoever they may be, so everything okay here. Maybe she could try pushing the Head Girl over and bat her eyelashes innocently afterwards? Except....that was not her. So....dismissing that thought and focusing once more on the cheering.
Pompoms. Yep. She rather liked carrying pompoms whenever she was cheering for people, has anyone noticed? The whole cheerleading uniform came to mind too, but it was hard to make one because she wasn't supporting a single house, meaning there was variety in color and she didn't want to show up like a color wheel so that idea has been discarded. She beamed at the Slytherin, sat back and crossed her legs. "Thank you. You'll be up later, right?" And she noticed that banner. "Did you make that banner all by yourself, Dazz?"

Unfamiliar but formal-looking guy. Based on what Beezus was aware of, this guy is one of the judges...and yep, he just sat at the designated seats for them.
She liked his robes. Really. BLUE.

More blue! Ah, their robes were pleasing to the eyes. Yep, yep. Beezus approved. Very so much.
She also happen to know that this woman is the Headmistress of Beauxbatons Academy. She was gorgeous for a Headmistress, okaaaay? Not that their very own wasn't....but this woman....well, she was just......gorgeous.....her aura was gorgeous, the way she moved was gorgeous....she was GORGEOUS. Period.
Streak of admiration here.

WHAT WAS THAT?
Beezus' pompoms got stuck in mid air as a man with a thick air of authority came rushing past. Oh, right. Headmaster.....Durmstrang's very own. Of course she knew. He looked.....scary. Meep.

Meep!
Momentarily forgetting about the vamp and everything else, the brunette turned to her left to see Hufflepuff's Captain and adorable blonde. "Hi, Mrs. Summers!" Eep. Time to feign some cough. Fake!cough. Fake!cough! "I mean, Ella... Here to support your Seeker, hmm?" She was beaming....there was a teeny tiny bit of stab somewhere near her chest at her own words but hell, she was ignoring it.
It seemed as though West was on the move....or something. So....
Here it was the big day. Sébastien was absolutely ready and excited. He made his toward the grandstands. Surely, he was going to be there for his friends' task. He was feeling a pinch of nervousness since he was going next. But if anything, it didn't show on his face as he gracefully climbed up to where his headmistress' sat. His eyes swept the present crowd with his chin tipped up and a half smirk playing on his lips.
"Bonjour, Madame," He said as he slid near his headmistress. After rubbing his hands together he leaned back and rested his elbows on the seat behind him as his sharp eyes wandered.

Was it just him or were things moving too slow? And this was coming from him. He let out a deep breath and-- "Oh! Hello, miss Miroslava." He was glad it was one of the quiet students, and the girl got a warm smile before he moved his attention back to the arena.
Things were moving too slow, but Dora was okay with this. It gave her a chance to look around at the faces that weren't familiar to her like the visiting students and their school heads. She kind of passed over the ones from Durmstrang and kept her attention on Beauxbatons. They had nice colors and all.
Of course her hazel eyes were all Botros when he was speaking. Respect. "I have an extra butterbeer if you'd like one." She smiled a bit brighter at his reaction, even if she was still relatively quiet since she was trying to pick up on the arena. Would they ever hear anything? She doubted it. She could hardly see anything, even with her glasses on.

Claudette was rather excited for this academic tournament, though she was really on the fence about who to support. She was and still considered herself from Beauxbatons so of course she wanted them to do well. But now that she was here at Hogwarts, she felt she should offer her support to her current classmates as well. Maybe just whoever was the better of the two schools? She didn't personally know either of the Beauxbatons students that were at this first task.. and Alec she knew vaguely from Hogwarts, not knowing West at all. So, really either were okay.. she guessed as long as Durmstrang didn't come out on top - why would they get her support. Though now she felt bad for thinking basically, 'as long as Durmstrang lost.' That was kind of mean, wasn't it?
Shrugging off the thought, the blonde girl made her way through Hogsmeade and into the competition area, heading up into the grandstand. Green eyes searched the vicinity for any sign of familiarity, noticing her former Headmistress. She gave a brief nod, figuring the woman would be more focused on her students and the competition than to remember her. Then she went to find a seat. Not seeing anyone she really knew yet, Claudette took the first available seat, hoping someone she knew would come along soon.
Ethan had read about this academic competition in the Daily Prophet and found it rather interesting that it was to be held at Hogwarts this year.. and even better that alumni could attend as well which meant another chance to see his girlfriend. He only wished that it had been held last term because he would have loved to have the chance to compete in the Herbology event.. you know, as long as Bentley had found him worthy to represent the school.
Pulling his Ravenclaw scarf tightly around his neck to fend off the chill, the former Hogwartian made his way to the Grandstand to view the competition. He glanced around a bit, looking for a specific someone, not seeing her. Perhaps he beat her to it? He spotted his cousin though and he made his way over, sitting in the seat just in front of her and to the side, leaving an empty seat for Minerva next to him and so he could still talk to the girl behind him. "Hey, Claudette.. how have you been?" It had been a little while since she owled.. hopefully she was getting on alright.
