She would call him yellow? He raised an eyebrow kind of confused about that. Why would she call him yellow? He wasn't from hufflepuff. He was from the green house. "Okay...." He murmured, with a little shrug. He didn't care too much, though he was still kind of confused.
"Yeah. I'm Clement."
"Haha! Like cement!" Zahra burst out laughing now, having KIND of forgotten that she was supposed to be buying and gobbling pumpkin pastries. Baaahaaaaa! She reached over and gave his arm a little rub. It's okay, Cement.
She was having a hard time deciding what else to get. You know what she REALLY wanted? A hollow chocolate frog, but she'd ever only gotten those from one source and that...that right there was depressing considering the source had just told her off and stormed off. How was she meant to go on without the sugary goodness inside a case of chocolate???
The girl's question brought her back, this was for the best. That hollow chocolate frog had the power to make her wibble. This had become more serious than she'd ever realized. "They've been working on it, the Headmistress said things would get better but I dunno, that has yet to be seen and I'm not getting my hopes up. The most I'll hope for is finding a willing Ravenclaw to trade plastic cups with." She wasn't going to spend her year with a red cup, no matter how much house pride she had. Not when she could easily have a pretty blue one. Maybe she could ask Mo, or Nigel...yeah, even Dora.
"A Frenchie!" Interesting. "I met another down in Diagon Alley, a First Year. What made you leave Beauxbaton?" Just a curious question. She would NOT think about the hollow chocolate frog. It no longer existed. It just didn't. "And have you got any idea what house you want?" Assuming she knew about them.
Still thinking over what this Alexa had just mentioned regarding the feast, Claudette hesitantly picked up the sugar quills too, placing them in her arms along with the jelly slugs. She supposed she'd get them too and even give her owl a nibble. She was starting to wonder just what they would have at the feast at all, going by the girl's whole attitude on the matter.. maybe she should get more than just what she had picked up..
She glanced back at the fourth year, nodding a bit as she listened to her explain further. Well.. that was somewhat encouraging. Perhaps they actually were working on the situation and the situation she had waiting for her wouldn't be as dire as her imagination was making her believe. And then her eyes widened. "....plastic....?" she managed out in a soft breathy voice. That was what they had them drinking their dirty pumpkin juice from? How was that even possible with all the fundraising she had heard about, plus the cost of tuition? This had to be a joke..
She eyed the girl carefully still, but put on a small smile and nodded her confirmation. "Yes.." She was French.. even if her accent wasn't quite as thick as it once had been. She had been practicing. "Oh have you? I was at Diagon Alley a couple times this year.. but it was the first time since I was very small.." And she hardly remembered it then, so it was like a new experience. Come to think of it, she had run into a young French boy there as well.. perhaps the same?
"Oh.. foreign exchange program," she answered as the question was posed to her. "Just wanted to experience a new culture, new school, new friends.. that sort of year." And she was meant to stay only one term, but she hoped her timing wasn't off. She had heard a bit about last term, this one had to be better, right? "Well," she began thoughtfully after thinking over the girl's next question. "I don't know a whole lot about the houses, to be honest.. my mother was a Slytherin a long time ago.." That was before she married her father and moved to France.. and she didn't spend a whole lot of time talking about Hogwarts. "My cousin went to Hogwarts for a few years.. he was a Ravenclaw, but I have a friend who is a Hufflepuff right now, so I suppose that one?" Just so they could hang out more and stuff.. but beyond that, she didn't know anything about them. "But I guess it doesn't really matter.. or at least that's what I've been told.."

Schuyler herself had little regard for protecting anyone's feelings in this case, no matter their year, so she just ignored this whole interruption in their conversation. But she did stifle a smirk at how exasperated Olly was getting with the blonde.
Her eyebrows scrunched together. "Dementors?" The man had been kissed by a dementor? Okay, that was a sucky way to die. She was about to ask why in the world dementors were at a school when Olly took the words right out of her mouth. And..... they were there by accident. Dementors. On school grounds. By accident. Schuyler shook her head, "That's crazy. They must have been there for some reason," she said. "And that's pretty lame that a grown man couldn't produce a patronus." A PROFESSOR, no less. Maybe it was a good thing he wasn't going to be Schuyler's teacher.
Okay, the cardboard box thing earned her a poke and a glare. "I know, I know," Schuyler add quickly. It was pretty serious if someone was dead. Back to Cassia. Of course they weren't actually going to run away. Schuyler still planned on going to Hogwarts. And if she was going, then Olly HAD to go. Even if that meant going to extreme measures to GET her there.
'Scared'..?'Go home to mommy'..?
"Cassia." Schuyler gave the girl a look, her tone sharp. "She's not scared. And I think we'd both be stupid if we weren't concerned about how the new school we're going to not only had dementors on its grounds last year, but also had a staff member - a professor - die because of them." After another long moment of looking at her, she moved her eyes back to Olly.
Olly couldn't actually get her parents to bring her back already.. could she? Her voice softened. "She's right, though.. they wouldn't allow students back if it weren't safe." Schuyler believed that because Hogwarts did have some sort of reputation to uphold. She studied the brunette for a second. "So... we are going to Hogwarts."

THAT was her excuse? That the man wasn't able to produce a Patronus? Really? That was her excuse? What was he doing at the school in the first place then? What if the Dementors had started to attack the students? Because then the lovely Groundskeeper would not have been able to defend them. Olly used both hands to point at Schuyler when her friend asked the right questions once again. Yeah, what she said. Because really, not only was it lame but also dangerous to have somebody like this on staff.
Though, if Hogwarts as such was as safe as they said it was then there wouldn't be Dementors there in the first place.
It was a total accident. Okay, now that earned Cassia an incredulous look. Well, OBVIOUSLY it had been an accident. "Well, yeah, otherwise it would have been murder." And nobody had killed the Groundskeeper on purpose, right? RIGHT?! Because now that.....well, that would actually mean that nobody else was in any real danger. Huh. Though, it probably hadn't been murder. Murder through Dementor. Was that a new thing? Dementors as hit men? She was digressing though...
At least Schuyler seemed to agree with her reasoning now. Though the idea of moving into a cardboard box DID sound appealing. And then Cassia was talking again. "Watch me..." Olly said quietly after staring right back into Cassia's eyes for a moment. No she couldn't get off the train. It WAS possible to run away though. Not that that was likely either anymore. But she wouldn't agree with Cassia of course.
And then.....she....
Her eyes grew cold and she narrowed them at Cassia for a moment. Apart from that her face was completely void of emotion. After a few seconds in which she completely ignored what Schuyler was saying, Olly opened her mouth to reply. "You still need to work on that Slytherin act of yours a little." Yes, she'd read up on houses and stuff. "It's not exactly any good." She waved her hand at Cassia vaguely for a moment, the tone of her voice CLEARLY emphasizing the hostitily she felt towards the other girl. Scared. She just didn't want to die that's all.
Tearing her gaze away from Cassia, Olly regarded Schuyler for a moment, her eyes softening considerably. She then heaved a sigh and glanced past her through the window of the compartment they were standing next to. "I guess we are..." She finally said, seeing as the train was already slowing down slightly. No turning back now. Because it was quite unlikely they would be able to slip away at Hogsmeade station. Plus, where would they go? Exactly. "We better start practicing our Patronus Charms though." She added, her eyes back on Schuyler.
And by "we" she meant Schuyler. Because Olly was pretty sure that she would NOT be able to produce a Patronus any time soon.
NO more questions about the the dementors please because simply, Cassia was only going to say the wrong things. And maybe if it had been someone else who witnessed the scene, like Lex, it would have been more convincing rather than having to make up facts and reasons at the top of her head. At that horrible day, Cassia had left the Great Hall early because she was under the 'treatment' effect. Of course, the snake now knew better than to tell them that there was an ice-cream machine at the kitchen that was charmed and affected all those who had it. Actually, that was why the dementors were drawn to the school. Attracted to the cheerfulness and happiness of the ice-cream eaters. That would answer Schuyler's question, except that the girl wasn't going to hear it. Not from Cassia at least.
It was totally legit to blame it on the man who wasn't able to defend himself. although he saved the charms' professor. ahem. But of course Olly didn't like it. Of course, she wouldn't. Cassia was almost sure, that whatever she said, this Olly girl wasn't going to like it! Maybe if Schuyler had said it, the angry girl would have seen some sense in it. The blond decided not to put much effort into her comebacks, since they'd be blown away and made fun of anyway.
She listened to the girls discussing it among themselves, until Schuyler gave her the look. What? Cassia wasn't allowed to be mean? She was obliged to being a Snake. Her being nice would likely to be frowned upon. Did they know her house by the way? Well, Olly did. Cassia shot her a questioning look before remembering the Slytherin pin she had on her chest. Yeah, she kept that. to not be mistaken for a puffer. "Oh, I do not recall asking for your opinion," She shot back at Olly. NO ONE must question her Slytherinish abilities. It wounded the girl far too deeply. "Our act isn't about comebacks and attitude," Well, kinda. And now Cassia was only hoping this particular girl didn't end up in SLytherin no matter how she suited the house. She wouldn't appreciate seeing her everyday in the common room or worse sharing a dorm with her. "And I am very curious to see where you two are going to be sorted into," She said smiling at Schuyler and not turning at Olly at all.
They were staying then. And wanted to work on their patronus charm! AHAHAHA! Can she laugh out loud. "Good luck with that," She said stifling a laugh. If her memory served her right, most of those who managed to produce a patronus either failed or sort of succeeded but their patronus was too weak that the dementors GULPED them all. Not to mention the horrid sensation that accompanies the presence of those mists. A shudder ran down her spine remembering that. She did not want to remember this now!
Cassia relaxed now, knowing that there would be no running-students on her conscious. Let's just say that Cassia wasn't Bunz's favorite student. Since that thing that happened during her third year. And the Aparecium rumor. Eeeh. Her situation wasn't the best. "So," She said hoping that they were DONE about this dying thingy. "You...guys have a favorite subject?" She asked feeling super awkward asking about casual things after discussing death and murder thanks to Olly bringing it up. Might as well end this super friendly encounter with regular topic until they parted each to a compartment or whatever.
