Default Round One, Task Two

You arrive in what looks like a cave, but the ceiling is hollowed to allow the sun to pour in and feed the plants that are growing in the vicinity: aloe, palms, holly, snargaluff, fluxweed, wood sorrel, banana, galangal, parsley, and basil. But something's wrong... an odd sound is coming from behind an aloe plant. After a few seconds, the source of the noise is revealed.

A swollen house elf, bloated from ear to ear, so much so that his closed, shut eyes wouldn't be able to reveal their color, slowly waddles out from behind the plant. His neck is swollen to the point that his vocal chords are pressed upon and the poor elf will never be able to talk.

The elf stumbles upon a large cauldron, and he seems to need to tell you something. It's too bad he cannot utter a single solitary word. What do you do?

follow me; everything is all right.

The house elf, feeling helpless and vulnerable lay patiently on the ground unable to support an upright posture, its swollen legs outstretched, it's belly round.

Even through its swollen ears, the voices around it were indecipherable as the Hogwarts representatives watched and waited to see if success had been achieved...

... and they had been.

Slowly, but surely, the house elf's skin started to deflate as the draft took effect. One ear, then the next, it's nose, it's lips and eventually, it was right again.

The house elf showed its gratitude by waving at the girls, wiggling its ears and nose, grinning brightly and squealing many thank yous.

Hogwarts' representatives, had been successful.

Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite

Kat got in some extra solution. Good, poor thing actually couldn't move. Imagine if she'd stood there waiting for him to come over and get some of the potion. Then they said patience was always the answer. Pffft, clearly not. More was accomplished when she went to get it herself.

The breath she'd been holding wasn't released until she saw notable deflating on the elf. His ears, eyes, arms and legs, his throat...he...they DID it!!!!

Lex grinned over at the elf who was now bouncing around showering them with gratitude. Expected. It couldn't have felt good being swollen the way he was. She couldn't even imagine it!!! Equally as important, "KAT! IT WORKED!! We did it!!!" Alexa's excitement mirrored that of the bouncing elf. The potion they'd estimated and made guesswork about actually woooorked. They put their heads together where no equipment was provided and brought down the poor elf's swelling.

She gave an audible sigh of relief, glancing up once more in a vain effort to see their supporters. The elf was CURED.

Now then, how coon could they get out of this cave...and who should she go to about receiving a snargaluff sapling seed thingy? Yeah, she still wanted one.
