If permitted to enter the highly exclusive and incredibly pink palace of Headmistress Anastasia Reina (née Bunbury) Truebridge, please take a moment to allow your eyes to adjust. The current occupant of the Head chambers has distinct fashion tastes unlike any of her predecessors. And yes, she does re-do her office every three few years.
The large, thick black desk, which is easily the largest item in the room, rests on a new, geometrically patterned pink and black carpet. In front of the desk are two new black and pink, modernly styled guest chairs; behind it is what can only be described as a veritable throne. This, obviously, is where the Headmistress sits when she is in the office. If you're here to speak with her, you might as well have a seat in one of the guest chairs. You aren't welcome elsewhere in this office.
As you take your seat and look around, you'll notice that the room is lush with healthy green plants in black pots; new black curtains which are usually pulled back from the spacious windows; books and magazines scattered on matching black wooden end tables; and lots and lots of framed personal photos. Most of the photo occupants (the ones that you can see, anyway) are the Headmistress' husband, a former professor himself, and a baby photo of her now five-year-old son, who is certain to grow up to be a genius. The largest photo, which sits facing the Headmistress' throne and the large window behind it, is of the three Truebridges from before they left Egypt.
The other frames on the walls of the room include portraits of former headmasters; a glass-encased man's cane; and a framed scrap of paper from one of Hogwarts' own student publications. In the back corner of the room, near the door that leads to the rest of the Headmistress' chambers, is a collection of very rare brooms locked up inside a black wood corner cabinet. In front of the cabinet sits a large pink wicker basket, usually containing a very pampered, very fat ginger cat. This is Gingersnapple.
Gingersnapple is most protective of his master's chambers, so if you truly wish to speak the Headmistress in her office, be aware that you are doing so at your own risk. Please note: This room is an animal-free zone... with the obvious exception of Gingersnapple.
OOC: You absolutely may not enter this office unless given the password or given IC/OOC access by the Headmistress. If you RP yourself here without following instructions, your post will be deleted.

Laura looked at her feet then back at the Headmistress. "Don't worry, I intent to bring all my grades up for my NEWT exams." Laura wanted to pass them all if she could, well maybe not Arithmancy or Ancient Runes because they were her weak points but the others she would try and improve on."

As it was, Kennedy had the pleasure to go first through the Floo network. Thankfully he still had all his limbs in tact, up to the last hair. He dusted his pants and realized he wasn't alone in the office. Well...wasn't he a surprise.
"Good day, Headmistress Truebridge," he greeted, then nodded at the student. Emily should be right behind him to explain what was going on, so there was no need to go into an explanation. Besides, Emily did say they were being expected. He was on Ministry duty. That sounded cool. HurryupEmily.

Even though the floo powder was safe, there was nothing wrong with sending a YATI in first, just because. And at any rate, this would be good experience for Kennedy, having the opportunity to interact with others, not just the wand-happy take-down stuff. She was quite happy for him to do all of the talking, should he wish to do so. She ought to do the initial introductions though... HA and all.
Stepping out of the fireplace moments after Kennedy, Emily drew her wand and made away with the soot. She didn’t want to go messing up the woman’s office. Just looking at the Headmistress made her feel tired. High maintenance was the term that came to mind.
“Headmistress Truebridge,” Emily greeted formally, all the while maintaining eye contact and extending her hand to shake, upon approach. “I believe you’ve been expecting us, I’m Emily Browne, Head Auror, and this is my colleague Kennedy Escalante. We’re here to collect Miss Phillips, Miss Eventide and Mister Jones for the De Talone trial.” So could they have them now?... Please?
Emily peered at the seated student, oh lookit! A puffer! She offered her a curt nod before returning her gaze to the redhead.

Naaww delicate hands, how sweet. Emily made sure not to crush the woman’s hand like a bug... because it would be too easy. The head-to-toe once over amused er greatly, she was usually on the receiving end of them, so it didn’t phase her. “Thank you,” she replied before withdrawing her hand and giving Kennedy a look. After him, show time sonny.
Smirking at the thought of uttering the words Prada Nada, Emily moved to exit the office. Kiddos better be ready.

"Because I was a fool and acted the fool when I was younger." Laura sighed, she was still a bit upset about that fact but there was nothing she could do about it. "I'm going to try and get my Potions and Muggle Study exams up-to an O to go with my Transfiguration and Defence Against the Dark Arts grade." Laura was going to continue when she suddenly realised there was other people here and she had the funny urge to put her hands up and say it wasn't me but she managed to avoid doing that, she gave them both a nod and then looked back at the Head.
"Anyway I was wondering what do you think I would be good at?" Laura had no idea herself so she thought that she would ask the headmistress to see if she knew.

Re-entering the office, Emily waited by the door for the others to follow her through... they didn’t seem to be in a hurry. Had she been the slightly impulsive YATI she used to be, those kiddies would be getting a generous push through the door. Yep.
“Apologies for the intrusions, we’ll be on our way,” she mentioned, in case the Headmistress was annoyed by their presence, which is likely. More than likely.

Nerida headed into the Headmistress's office after the Ministry employees. "Headmistress." she greeted. It felt weird being in the Headmistresses office, she had never been in there before... Maybe cause she rarely got into trouble? But none the less she was nervous about the trial and about being in the Headmistress's office but more about the trial.

Coming back up to the Headmistress's office, Kennedy nodded at each of the students. Alrighty, the boy still seemed a bit nervous, but need not worry. Kennedy himself would fetch him if he ended up in some other dimension. Not that it would happen.
He nodded at Emily. A nod that meant: You get the front and I get the rear. "Emily is going to show you how it's done, and then you all follow," he said, not too loud as to not disrupt the Headmistress. "It's quite simple," he added, sending the boy a small grin. "You just grab some powder, throw it into the fireplace and say, Ministry of Magic as clear as possible." They should know this, no? Just in case, Kennedy refreshed their memory.
After Emily went through, he gestured with a nod for the students to follow. "We'll be heading to Courtroom 10 once everyone has gathered at the other side."

Just go on, trampling through the office and using up all her Floo powder. Anastasia stopped speaking to Laura to stare at the aurors, nod to the students leaving, and then stare at them some more.
Once that last of the law enforcement troublemakers was gone, she sighed and looked back to Laura. Now then, where were they?

"Well are there any careers you're considering that relate closely to those subjects?" Or was she supposed to tell her those? She was glad Laura was able to recognize her own strengths though. Laura looked at the headmistress after watching everyone leave. "I was thinking something outside but I have no idea what I want to be." Laura was being truthful, until the summer she hadn't even thought about it that much and now the Head was asking her all the things that she wasn't expecting. "I'm just hoping for something cool."

Questions! Laura looked at the headmistress and smiled. "I love animals, I'm not really keen on plants, I just don't get them." Laura wasn't very keen on Herbology or anything like that, but animals she loved. "I so love animals though, I have a cat and a couple of bunnies at home, I look after and of course there is my owl." Laura really loved all her animals.
Laura then listened to what the headmistress said. "I mean something that is interesting and unique, I like being an individual and I like working on my own. though if I had too then I don't mind working in a team."

"Well.... you could always try to get a summer internship in Diagon Alley, working at the Magical Menagerie or Eeylops Owl Emporium," she suggested thoughtfully. "Then you'll have a taste of working in a team and on your own AND with animals. You can figure out from there if you want to stay working with domesticated animals or want to try working with bigger ones."

Laura looked at the desk whilst the Headmistress thought, she so wouldn't want to sit behind a desk all day that would be boring, especially if they had meetings after meetings after meetings.
Laura listened to the Headmistress. "I thought about doing one at Eeylops OWl Emporium sometime but then I thought that with my record, they might not allow me in." Laura sighed. Surely if she asked for a reference from anyone they would have to tell them about the disrespectfulness and things like that and well she was starting to wish she had behaved from when she first started at the school.

"It's all forgiven now." She rattled the tin of cookies. TAKE ONE, so Bunz could too. "Talk to Professor Hadley, talk to our new Care of Magical Creatures professor to see what advice she can give you, and keep working hard. If you focus on your studies, you'll stay out of trouble. All right?"
Her blue eyes flitted to the clock and then back to Laura. They were nearly done here, mmm?
