Wearing holes in your robes? Forgot to bring your dress robes for those special school balls? Look no further than Gladrag's for all your wizarding apparel needs!
It was a Hogsmeade weekend for the Hogwarts students? And foreign students were coming? It didn't feel like that because her shop was VACANT! DEAD! A doornail! Did no one buy new clothes anymore?
Everyone was probably down there schmoozing at the Broomsticks. Why? Because Lagerty served hot cross buns and butterbeer and Merlin only knew what else? She had clothes! Fashionable ones, that is! Surely at least some French students would appreciate the good taste ....
Summer peeked her head out her shop window at the streets, watching for any potential customers who might be interested. Perhaps a redecorating day was in order.
Taylor twirled into the shop and smiled at the shopkeeper, "Bonjour!" She smiled, "Lovely day, no?" Tay went toward the color robes and searched them, "So many pretty colors... It is so hard to choose!" Tay glanced at the shop keeper then went to the dress robes, "All so nice..." Taylor sighed, not sure what to get. She opened her purse and counted her money to see how much she could get. There was at least enough to get a colored cloak, a dress robe, both or even a dragon hide jacket and still get gifts for Mins and Wade. Tay muttered to herself, "What if I get a cloak for Mins... or a scarf... what would make a good gift..." Taylor glanced around, debating on what to get.
In a set of silky, metallic blue robes Maximilliene stepped into the 'ogsmeade shop. Shivering she complained to herself in her french thick and musical accent. "Temps est terrible en Ecosse, je me suis souvenu de cela."
Wandering over to the nearest rack gracefully she inspected the clothes through piercing blue eyes.

Sophia was in need of new winter gloves, since the ones she had were from last winter. She most definitely would not bring them over into another winter season. Her eyes landed on Enzo as she pushed out the shop door.
"Oh mon Dieu! Directrice Enzo! I had no idea you lot arrived already." She went to greet her with an air kiss. "How long have you been in Scotland?"

If she was going to withstand this cold weather she needed new clothes. Now where was the shopkeeper, hmm? She must have heard her walk in. Letting a manicured hand drift over the clothes Maximilliene was going to call out for the shopkeeper of the etablisiment, when she heard her name.
Spinning around bracelet's clattering and robes billowing she met the other woman half way. "Professeur Bellaire, quelle agréable surprise." Air kissing the other woman she responded with a shiver. "We arrived to 'ogsmeade an 'our ago. I didn't remember Scotland to be this chilly."

"Not long ago then. I trust you'd have come to see me first." She smiled at the woman and nodded. "Yes well Rhea was only seventeen when you last visited Scotland Maximilliene. Maybe you just forgot." Oh it had been so long since she had good female company the time had almost been criminal.
"What brings you to Gladrags and where are your students? Et oh vous devez laisser moi vous offrir un tour de scotch ou de butterbeer."

"Of course." Maximilliene said simply. Raising a brow she responded sligthly affronted. "Moi forgot. I zink not." Or maybe she had but she would nevair admit to it. It vas nize to see Sophia again though.
Letting her blue eyes wander around the clothes racks she said turning to look at the other woman. "N'est-il pas évident? I need warmer clothes to stand zis cold." Gesturing towards the street Maximilliene replied. "My student's are out on the 'ogsmeade streets to meet and greet with the hogwartians."Just like good students did.
Just as Summer had been reconsidering the possibilities of fresh new colours for the shop, she had a rush! THREE whole customers!

And the first, oh! She greeted her FRENCH! Was this one of the foreigners from Beauxbatons?! How lovely!!! Grinning widely, "Bonjour, mademoiselle!" And just as a test to see if she really was one of the foreign students; "Bienvenue en Ecosse!"
Noticing what she was looking at, she took in the girl's assets. Blond hair. Light eyes. "Zis, ... would look lovely, yes," Summer said, selecting a dark green cloak. "Was there something in particular -- Oh mon Dieu!" But surely the girl knew who it was?
SPOILER!!: Enzo and Bellaire!

Leaving the young student's side for a moment, Summer walked over towards the two adults. "Directrice Enzo! Bonjour!" She smiled warmly. "vous souvenez de moi? It has been so long ... what was it? 2072 since you've last been here?" Oh she was just helping out back then. "You probably remember my mother more. She has since passed."
Oh and best not to be rude, Summer gave a polite nod towards the Transfiguration Professor. "Professeur. Good to see you, again."

Sophia gave Millie a knowing look before scanning the shop for the shopkeeper. Where was she anyways?
Ah there she was.
"Hello to you Summer." Summer, what an irony.
It wasn't even all that cold yet and the French woman was having issues. She couldn't imagine how the woman would fare.
"Well you won't find french couture but I'm sure you'll find something to meet your needs." Ah, she'd be meeting up with Tyler soon as well.
"Oh good, I'm sure they'll like that."

Reason: didn't see the shopkeepeeeeer
Just as Summer had been reconsidering the possibilities of fresh new colours for the shop, she had a rush! THREE whole customers!

Oh and best not to be rude, Summer gave a polite nod towards the Transfiguration Professor. "Professeur. Good to see you, again."
Tay smiled at her, "Madame, your welcome is greatly appreciated though I have been in Scotland all my life minus the time I had attended Beauxbatons in my mother's homeland." Taylor curtsied then looked at the cloak that the lady had shown her and nodded, "Oui!" She nodded with a smile and was about to reply to her question when the lady went off to greet two other people. Tay glanced at where the woman went. Taylor waved, "Hey, Professor..." She looked at the other lady and curtsied, "Bonjour, Directrice." Taylor doubted the headmistress would have remembered her from the one year she had attended Beauxbatons so she went back to the rack, looking at it so not to bother the adults any more than she had.

Finally, the shopkeeper had arrived. The woman looked familiar. Maximilliene recognized her as she came over. Summer Longshadow. "Bonjour mademoiselle Longshadow!"
"Je me souviens de vous. Has it already gone 9 years since I was here last? Remarkable, it doesn't feel like it was that long ago." Reaching over to squeeze the younger woman's arm briefly she murmured with compassion almost fussing. "I'm very sorry. Your mother was a good friend of mine."

No French couture? Maximilliene turned her eyes over to the clothing rack slightly disappointed. Letting her eyes drift over the clothes she commented to Sophia. "I just need a new coat and a pair of mittens zat is all."
"Don't you need anyzing?"

Picking out a coat in red she took it out from the rack and held it up for inspection. It looked good. Maybe she should try it on? Maximilliene was distracted however by a girl that curtsied and addressed her accordingly. Flashing the girl a smile she said "Bonjour mademoiselle! Avez-vous continué ŕ Beauxbâtons?"

"Well I don't suppose the coats are that bad." She quickly scanned them. "I just don't think they're what you're used to but they are wearable and if you like I can add some flair if you wish."
She stepped away and move through the aisle.
"Yeah new gloves. I just need standard black cotton ones. They're usually over there."

"Oui, oui!" Maximilliene said to herself as much as to Sophia as she tried on the deep red coat. It fit her nicely. But it lacked that little extra flair. Still intent on buying it, she hung it over her left arm as she followed Sophia through the aisles towards the gloves section.
Picking up a standard black cotton pair, and a red cotton pair she held up both choices. "Which pair fits best with ze coat?" Very important question.

Sophia felt and felt the different textures on the gloves. She could usually tell right off the bat when the gloves had been sitting in the stores for a while as opposed to when they were really new arrivals.
"I think red on red would be over kill so go with the black one as well." She picked up a similar black pair."Black is back."

Taylor glanced up as she was being spoken to in French. Her face lit up as she saw the smile. Tay did a slight frown and shook her head, "Pas... I transferred for my second year to Hogwarts and stayed..." Obviously, Tay was slightly annoyed at the thought of having transferred to Hogwarts but she flashed the headmistress a smile, "I miss Beauxbatons though... and had only transferred to Hogwarts to be with my twin sister, Madame Directrice."

Maximilliene nodded "Oui, oui black works with everyzing." It was a standard colour which you couldn’t have too few pieces of. Putting down the red pair she gestured towards the counter. "Shall we pay and get zat butterbeer?"

Disappointing, Maximilliene contemplated to herself. She always saw transfers from her top notch school to be something to regret even if it in zis girl's case seemed to have been because she wanted to be closer to her sister. "Je comprends. Don't be sad mlle, wasn't transferring to Hogwarts a good decision for you? Have you not excelled at 'ogwarts?" In any case Maximilliene couldn't do much if that was not the case since the girl was no longer a student under her care.

Tay casted her eyes down but glanced back up as the headmistress said she understood. Taylor nodded as she said to not be sad and then again at her question. "Oui, oui, Madame Directrice. I even got placed in the house of Ravenclaw." She gave a smile, "Though I miss Beauxbaton..." Tay casted her eyes down, "But Hogwarts have been nice... and I made a lot of friends, got on the quidditch team and exceled in my classes... Madame Directrice." She curtsied.

Schuyler was not going on a shopping spree in here. Because, as she quickly discovered, this was not the place to go on a shopping spree. This was the place where you got strictly robes and school attire and that was basically it. But, the brunette was indeed in need of a gold and red scarf, particularly because of the cold winter.
The fifth year made her way on over to the section with the scarves. Plain solid colored ones and those of the four house colors. But there were the Gryffindor scarves. With a small smile, her hands reached for the closest one and felt the fabric between her fingers. Despite the fact that it was only a house scarf, she would have to decide based on comfort and style.

......Why was he here?
Because he saw someone pretty walk in. Alone. Unaccompanied. And pretty girls shouldn't roam around alone.
No, really, that could be dangerous.
But also, he could be her buddy for...however long Schuyler decided to keep him around.
Aidan slipped into Gladrags after waiting a few minutes and casually walked up behind the fifth year. There, he struggled with what to say to call attention to himself. Something witty? Could he do witty without making a fool of himself?
Probably not. "Hey Schuyler," he settled on.

Probably not. "Hey Schuyler," he settled on.
Schuyler wrapped one of the scarves around her neck, but almost immediately took it back off again. Woolen. And very itchy. No, that one was going back on the rack. Her hands were sorting through some of the others as her eyes scanned them over. Hmm.. maybe this solid maroon one with the small, Gryffindor emblem. Then again, she also liked the gold and red rugby style..
She didn't get to ponder the two for very much longer before being interrupted by a voice behind her. Pleasantly interrupted, she might add, as she saw who the voice had belonged to. "Hey, Aidan," she said with a sudden grin. "What are you up to?" Getting new scarves, by any chance?

He grinned back at her greeting. A grin unfaltered by the one question he wished she hadn't asked. Yet, he answered. Honestly, too. "I saw you come in. Need a second opinion?"
That...wasn't creepy or anything, was it? Aidan slipped his hands into his pockets in an attempt to look cooler. He was going to OWN that answer and hope she wouldn't take it as anything other than that he wanted to catch up and hang out with her.

That was a very reasonable answer. And it also had managed to tug her smile just a tad wider than it had been a moment before. Aidan had good timing, as well; his offer of a second opinion could not have come at a more convenient time. "Now that you mention it, that'd be great." She turned back to the scarves and grabbed the two she had been debating between. Yes, another opinion could solve the dilemma.
Moving back to face Aidan again, she displayed one scarf in each hand. "So, what do you think?" She pursed her lips a little as she looked down at them. "It's based on looks at this point.. I like the fabric of both." Her eyes lifted to meet his again.

Excellent!
Aidan removed his hands from his pocket, took one of the chairs sitting outside the changing booths, turned it around and straddled it backwards. From what he heard, girls could take a while when it came to what they wore, so he figured taking a seat would be wise. Even if she was only looking at scarves. Who knew, maybe she would try on a few dress robes, too.
The fabric? He wasn't too sure what that could have to do with anything. Fabric was fabric, was it not?
Anyway, he looked at each scarf and pictured it around her neck. After just a moment or two, he lifted a hand and gestured at the solid maroon one. "That one." She'd look fantastic in all dark red.
Granted, she'd look fantastic in anything, but he liked that scarf best.

Oh, so he was making himself comfortable by getting a chair and all that. Maybe he had sisters and so he was aware that most girls had a tendency to take somewhat long when it came to shopping. It wasn't something that should be rushed, though. Then again, he was a Ravenclaw. He was smart enough to know this whether he had sisters or not.
Schuyler held up the solid one and looked at it once again. "Let's see.." The girl took a few steps to the nearest mirror and proceeded to wrap it about her neck in a neat fashion. "Was there anything in here you were looking for?" She pulled her hair out from under the scarf, and fixed her hair a little bit. She studied her scarved self in the mirror for a few moments, and finally a smile surfaced on her face. Yes. The solid one. "Good choice." It would also match with more colors.
She began removing the scarf and as she did so, her eyes caught on a nearby section of the shop. Dress robes. Her hands had slowed a little bit as a thought crossed her mind. "So.. if we are having this sort of intellectual triwizard tournament at Hogwarts, " she began, the cloth now slipping from her neck, "Does that mean we also have a ball?" Wasn't that how it worked? A ball accompanied the tournament..
