When you walk into the Charms classroom this morning, all seems normal and well. Except for the fact that there are no desks or chairs in the classroom. And neither is the professor. Odd? Time to panic?
OOC: Class has now started! Please don't announce your character arriving late. If you haven't posted yet, just pretend like you've been here all along.

She couldn't help but smirk at him, no smile huge at him. It made her feel good to hear sibling in the same sentence as her. She knew he wasn't truly her sibling, but in her eyes he was as close as she'd ever get again. "Are you sure you can handle it balloon boy?" Yes we saw that kid move Alec putting the balloon around your wrist.
"So we just have to rope the cake and I need to get it away from you?" She shrugged, "Easy enough" Another smirk crossed her face jokingly at Alec. This was going to be fun. Fun to play the game with him, but also fun because if one got cake on them who cared it was cake. "Alright cowboy are you ready?" She chuckled before lifting her wand. "Count of three, what do you say?"
Minnie was SMIRKING at him? Alec tried his hardest not to chuckle at this and even more so when she trash talked back at him. Balloon boy... was an interesting nickname, though. Very interesting. "I think I can take you on, Wheaty." ... He... was not good at this. Especially since he was getting a growing uncomfortable feeling in his stomach. What if Minnie got mad at him?
... Moving on... CAKE! "Yeah, that's all--" ... OH? Is that how it was going to go? Alec let out a small chuckle before shaking his head and saying, "Don't underestimate your opponent." He stuck out his tongue at her because... yeah. He was mature. Manly. Strong manly wizard was what he had called himself before.
Before he could make a fool of himself, though, Alec headed over and claimed a particularly chocolatey cake. One that had a lot of chocolate frosting and just... well... LOTS of chocolate! Minnie would be okay with this choice, yeah? He headed over towards the girl and let the cake hover between the two of them. "Ready when you are!" he said, standing back and holding out his wand, "Three... two..."
... Pause...
... "ONE! Carpe Retractum!" ... Had she called at the same time? Was she ready? WAS THE CAKE GOING TO FALL? Important questions, these were.
Oookay. Tug of war with cakes. And since Lex decided to partner up with Tag, the natural thing was for Aidan to partner up with Lottie, yes?
Well, somehow that's what happened.
Too bad Schuyler wasn't here.
"I'll get the cake." Since he wasn't playing with Lex, he wasn't sure which kind he should get. The obvious choice of chocolate chocolate chocolatey chocolate wasn't a must have. And Lottie never seemed like...Lex in that way. So Aidan claimed a white cake with chocolate frosting. A little of both.
"On three? You can count." Ladies first. He was a gentleman. A very careful gentleman with Lotus.
So, she didn't care for balloons, she didn't care for cake, she didn't care for Charms, EVEN. Well, not with that one teaching, because if Airey taught Charms then it'd be her favorite class, yes? Yes. And now Aidan pretty much decided they were partnering up. Well, fine, if they did this quickly then the class will be over, yes? That's all she wanted. And he could have the cake for all she cared.
"Okay." That's all she said, and she did NOT tie the balloon around her wrist, no, because how annoying. Also, she was probably leaving it behind when the class was over. Vinteren will probably frown upon her actions, but who cares. Unless she took it along and left it in the Charms office. Now that's more likely to happen.
Nod. Yeah, okay, she was counting, whatever. "One." Get in place, Aidan, don't just stand there. "Two." She almost did the spell here, but nah, he said three, let's be nice. "Three!" Whipping motion and all..., "Carpe Retractum!" And the purple rope was doing its job getting around the cake.
Now we're just being all ninja-like and not moving from our spot. Fuller did say stationary. Until her own count reached zero, at least. 10, 9, 8...

Cake bracelet.
"Want a bite?"
Cake bracelet. Alice considered it, then shuffled closer and broke a big piece off the dessert hanging from his wrist. Red velvet was good, her favorite even, but it would have been better if she'd won it.
"You're no fun to partner with if you don't do your best," she voiced between bites of cake. "And I'll have you know that I would have won either way."
Noodle arms for the win.

"ONE....TWO....THREE...!" he said and he heard Adi do the same thing. He did the whip like motion and said "Carpe Retractum!" and light blue ropes appeared out his wand and wrapped around his cake. He remembered the professor saying he needed to stay still. He did not need to move his feet. He used his strength from soccer and football to pull the cake closer to him.
It was almost in his reach......he could see it coming closer....!
So he needed to stay still. No moving his feet or anything. Adi made sure his feet were at a comfortable stance- a little distance apart his left foot a step ahead of his right one. Now Kace's spell had joined his.
Adi put all the strength he could muster from his little arms into trying to get the cake over to his side. He may look like a a skinny little guy but one would be surprised. Being an active cricket player helped out here too.
Noooo! Kace was winning! A tugged as hard as he could and bit by bit the cake started inching towards him.

AHHHHHH!
That was the sound of the inner frustration Sophie felt. They were moving on to a separate activity, one in which Sophie needed her balloon, and she hadn't even pulled in the balloon yet! SIGH. Now she was a warrior on a mission. She would get that balloon even if she had to walk right up to it and yank it out of the air. That's just what she'd do if this last attempt didn't work.
She eyed the balloon and focused on pulling it toward her. She moved her wand forward and then backwards. "Carpe Retractum!" she said. She kept her focus on the balloon, never once thinking of anything else. The balloon began to pull slowly toward her, and then, at the last second, it flew through the air toward her. She plucked it out of the air and held it close to her.

WOOT!
Now, for that partner...
"Anyone still need a partner?" she said.
Ugh. Partner work. Caleb didn't want to socialize with anyone! He just wanted to focus, do his work, earn points and learn how to be awesome at magic. Was that really too much to ask?
As everyone started to partner up, Caleb frowned and looked around. He needed a partner, and all the people he knew like Kace and Adi were claimed! But then, he heard a familiar voice...
"SOPHIE!! I need a partner!" he exclaimed, hurrying towards his sister. YES! This was one of those great moments where having a twin came in handy!

OH, hey--LOOK! A partner, and one she already knew, at that. Immediately, Sophie toyed with the idea of just letting go mid-spell and letting the cake smack Caleb in the face. It'd be fun and SO WORTH not winning the tug-of-war either.
Heh.
She tied her balloon to her wrist, so it wouldn't float away again. "Okay, cool," she said to Caleb, and then she turned toward the cakes. "There's not many left," she noted. They had started well after everybody else. "Here's one," she said, and she moved to one side of a large, yellow cake. "We have to cast together, so...on the count of three?"

This was dueling all over again. Minerva and Alec should never go against each other it was just unnatural, really. She as laughing, see how were they suppose to even do the activity when she was laughing at his trash talk. "Wheaty, of wizard boy you can do better than that." Yes she called him a boy not man. More giggling happened before she lifted her wand.
Smiling bigger at the chocolate cake at least he knew what she liked in case it went in her face she wouldn't mind at all, possibly pulling extra hard so it would hit her. Cake in the face, why not. So he was counting now.. Alright she was ready, more than ready. "Let's do this Summers" See two could use last names.
More giggling.. Wait concentrate.. No more giggling Minerva tried to be ready, but she saw him cast before she could, " Carpe Retractum!" She watched the purple rope launch out of her wand and go around the cake. Now they were to pull, so she started to pull against Alec.

"Sure." West agreed, giving her a smile. He WANTED to snog her but didn't figure that'd go down well in class, and he wasn't dumb or anything. He broke off another bit of the cake and offered it to her, with frosting smeared fingers.
"Do you wanna give it another go with another cake?"

Wheaty. Yeah. This was sticking, even if it was a horrible way of trying to do some of that trash talk nonsense. As for wizard boy... "I can be a man..." Pause. "... Wheaty." And then he burst out laughing. Why this was so funny, he didn't really know. Maybe it had a lot to do with the fact that these two shouldn't really go against each other. It just... wasn't natural.
As for her surnaming him... he let out another chuckle and shook his head. Sure! They could be on surname basis for the remainder of this lesson. A bit of healthy banter didn't hurt anyone, right? Yeah? Awesome.
As for the giggling, that had been a little distracting before which only made him wonder whether this was some sort of tactic of hers. It would be a good one. Alec furrowed his brows a little and concentrated on the purple light that had come out from his wand and wrapped itself around the cake. ... And she had cast the spell at the same time, right? Yeah? So he was pulling the cake against her. This was amusing, she wasn't sure why and concentration was well.. harder than she wanted it to be, but Minerva didn't give up. She tried to stay focused, but it was tempting to let go and see her brother get a face full of chocolate cake, well she guessed for as short as she was to him it wouldn't be a face it would be his robes, but still funny.
Was he still calling her Wheaty? She couldn't help but laugh at this.. Wheaty well Wheaty was about to kick some manly Wizard behind.
She pulled with some force, but not all at the moment, "Really Summers you think a weak seeker boy could win in a tug of war match against a beater? I use a bat hitting a heavy bludger. You fly around chasing a light little snitch." Laughing before she could even get the words out Minerva continued to pull on her purple rope that was around the cake. She would have the cake it would be hers.
As he hadn't really let go of his balloon, he quickly tied it to his wrist and looked around excitedly. Though he was not that bold to announce loudly that he needed a partner, so he stood in the middle as best as he could and looked around.

This cake tug of war was turning out to be more difficult than he had thought it would be. He was practically using a lot more physical strength than he had thought he would need. The boy leant right back, trying to pull the cake closer and closer towards him but it didn't do much. Maybe a slight budge in his direction. Eh.
... Wait... WHAT?!
Weak seeker boy? Alec tried his hardest not to laugh at that, even if he knew that it was completely true. The girl dealt with hitting Bludgers, which were big and made of iron, while he just flew around catching a tiny, golden walnut sized ball before the other team's seeker. ... Strength wise... she had the advantage here.

Alec his trying his hardest not to let that smirk on Minnie's face put him off but it was becoming more and more difficult. He was NOT going to give up! Not at-- ... Oh? Was Minnie slipping? Was she okay? ... Wait... no... this was WAR. TUG of war! FOR CAKE! He wasn't meant to care...
... right?
Bludgers are heavy? He... had no good comeback for that. Man! "I guess... but... that's your only advantage!" ... See? Not a good comeback. He shook his head and leant back, trying to pull the cake towards him some more. Alec let out a small chuckle at the seventh year's words. Minnie... was kind of feisty! Not that that was a bad thing but this was one of the few times he was noticing it. "Well... in that case, you have a tough fight on your hands. I want the cake!" Had he said that before? Yeah? No?
... Eh. He let a small grunt escape his lips as he tugged harder, leaning right back as he did so. Cake. His. CAKE!
So he needed to stay still. No moving his feet or anything. Adi made sure his feet were at a comfortable stance- a little distance apart his left foot a step ahead of his right one. Now Kace's spell had joined his.

Kace was using his strength to pull the cake closer towards him. He knew it was coming closer but he admired Adi's determination to try and get the cake. He saw it inching closer and closer and closer.
Then he moved his feet and went to go and grab the cake. He jumped up and GOT IT! He snatched it and then he saw the crumbs falling to the floor little by little. "Yeah i got it!" he said munching on the cake.

Sure enough, Adi was back in a few minutes with another cake covered in blue frosting. "I'll win this one!'' he said to Kace as he set the cake between him.
"Ready?'' he called after positioning himself. ''One...two...three! Carpe Retractum!"

Wow this boy was tough.. like super tough, Min felt her arms growing tired. He was strong even though she would never ever admit that. Min kept pulling she was going to win this. She had to, what would be more fun than holding that over her brother/friends head. Her a girl beat him a boy in the tug a war contest.
Pull.. pull.. she was going to keep pulling.
She lifted her eyes only a moment at his words. "A tough fight?" another smirk crossed her face as she planted her feet. He wanted cake... hmmm her brain started going and she was smirking bad now horribly, the most evil smirk Minerva Wheatborn had ever had. "You want cake? This cake? You want this cake right here that we are fighting over?" She couldn't help but laugh as she looked at Alec making her focus leave and the purple rope go from her wand, which of course meant her pulling of the cake was done so the cake would be headed at Alec..
"Ooops.. That wasn't suppose to happen." or was it? *giggles*

MMMMMMMM. Cake.
With the cake levitating between them, Mo stepped back until he was generally the same distance away from the cake as Cat, and then he raised his wand and grinned at her. She might win, but he wasn't going to just let her win. Still, she was smaller and had a different center of balance than him, and the cake was right at that center of balance and it could improve her chances.
Plus, she wouldn't be mad if she lost because there'd be cake.
"Pull your hair back if you're..." Oh, but she was going! Mo cracked his invisible whip by flicking his wrist as he said the incantation, "Carpe Retractum!." The purple rope of light crackled from the end of his wand and wrapped around the cake, sending icing and crumbs flying.
Merlin, they were going to make a mess. Mo dug in his heels and pulled.

Pull.. pull.. she was going to keep pulling.
*giggles*
Everything was going into this. He was giving it his all to try as make sure that Minnie did NOT get the cake. And even if she did, he'd en up feeling happy for her and... he'd possibly ask her whether he could have some of the cake. Or just help himself to some. Brotherly perks. As for the tug of war, though, the boy took a step or two backwards and pulled some more. Come oooon, cake! Come o--
... Huh?
Oh! "Yeah, a really tough fi...hahight..." He didn't know why his voice had faltered midway like that but he wasn't going to think on that right now. Why? Because Wheaty was smirking again. Alec didn't know what that smirk of hers meant but he knew that it wasn't going to be good. He still nodded at her words, slowly at first as then more and more enthusiastically. Cake! Of course he wanted some--
SMACK!
...
... ... ...
His face. His face and robes and precious hair -- PRECIOUS! -- now had cake all over it. Alec reached up a hand and wiped some cake away from his eyes before blinking them open. He looked over at his opponent, his sister, his FRIEND and grinned a little before shaking his head slowly. Not cool, Minnie, not cool! Especially with the laughing. He raised his eyebrows at her words before saying, "Looks like you're a force to be reckoned with, Wheaty." GRIN.
He wasn't even mad because... that had been a LOT of fun! And since it was... celebrations were in order, yeah? So, the seventeen year old picked up a lump of chocolate cake that had been hanging on his shoulder and, grinning cheekily, started spreading it all over Minnie's cheek.

The boy simply saluted at Lex's words, telling her that he was paying attention and new his possible job if it came down to it. "Protect the cake! Got it!"
See, and she barely moved from her spot, as Tag had suspected. He was learning more and more about Lex the longer he was her pet. Setting his feet a few inches apart a face of determination etched over Tag and he whipped up his wand and said, "Carpe Retractum!" the same second Lex did. Good thing he was paying attention. It seemed to be working as Tag gave the cake a gently tug after he saw a little rope tie itself around it. Go fight forth Lex!
Would Lex put up a good fight? Of course she would. She wasn't going to let it simply fall or anything.
Saluting, she liked that very much. It gave her a bit of hope where it came to that whole General Cambridge thing. She may not have had that army like she'd wanted but that was pretty much whatever once she was still being treated like a General. Could she get Tag to reply with 'Yes Ma'am' from now on or would that take extra training and asking???
Her partner was pulling against her pull. Of course she'd said he could win and she would let him so she could get to the cake that much faster but at the same time it had to be legit. Lex tugged on the rope on her side. But noticed almost immediately the cake beginning to crumble as they tugged.
vdsjvfjsduyw!!
This was probably why people didn't tie rope to cake very often. It's soft texture wasn't able to support the harshness of rope. What if it was SUFFERINGG???
It didn't completely crumble to the floor but she eased up her tug, allowing it to get closer to Tag. "Stay on the alert, I don't like the way this is looking." She told him, her eyes trained on the cake. Don't fall. Don't fall. Don't fall. Lex was meant to enjoy it after this was done, not end up licking it off the floor. As much as she'd like to tell herself she wouldn't...that was a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and sprinkles; she so totally WOULD.

ALERT ALERT! WAIT! Lex told him to be on the lookout to have good eyes. Ok! Yes! He could do this for her! He wanted that cake just as badly as she did. Ok, maybe not as much, but still, he wanted at least one lick of the cake. It was only fair.
So, he loosened a bit on the tugging. Save the cake. Save it. Though, he still gave it a short tug. Wait. Whoops. Sorry Lex. She was supposed to be the one looking like she was putting a fight. The boy hung loose, but moved his body about making it look like he was struggling with Lex.
"Sorry. Sorry. You put up a good fight Lex!" All for the act of course. Oh, and a wink for you Lex. Now. Let's get going so that we could have cake at the end.

Plus, she wouldn't be mad if she lost because there'd be cake.

Okay yep, this was definitely not going to be easy. Caterina Moretti was not going down without a fight, though. She put her serious!game!face and planted her feet which was essential cause with Mo pulling, she could be tugged across the floor.
That would not be winning.
Oh. Wait. Nope. That cake was NOT coming in her direction. It was going the other way. "Apparently I need to start lifting weights. Or grow like five inches taller." Cat focused her attention more on her spell than on her strength, at least in magic, they were more equally matched.

Tag was doing enough movement for them both so she just stood there watching the cake for any signs that it would suddenly give way and go SPLAT. Do you know how SAD that would make her?? She'd probably host a memorial service right then and there for the cake that never was. Floating in a class all that time but never to be tasted. Was she the only one who could see the tragedy in that?? Were it a movie, it'd sell big time!!
Finally after she'd watched him moving around enough--and wink at her, we see the wink--she completely ended the charm, sending the cake hurtling toward Tag. She didn't want it hitting the floor but she didn't want it hitting his face either. Imagine how awkward it would be to have him standing there while she licked it off? The ground would probably appreciate the gesture more and she didn't even know HOW she would explain that blight of irrationality to Lottie. The cake hit your boyfriend's face and instead of getting a new one I licked it off because chocolate?? Yeah...no. Just no.
"Arresto Momentum." She muttered, stopping the cast dead in it's tracks. Nothing to see here Professor, just two students working together. Lex gave a sigh of relief when the cake completely stopped.
"Wow Tag! It looks like you've won! Congratulations! You were epic!" Had to make this look good before she could start devouring the cake, otherwise it'd look all kinds of suspicious.
