Nigel would have laughed at the Claw armor had he not been busy looking around and wondering what spell to use. Seemed like the hufflepuff armor was falling down, so Slytherin it was.

"Glacius." Nigel cast at the Slytherin armor. It seemed that Mo was trying to fix their house's armor. It was pretty funny to watch. Nigel should at least help a little. Maybe

This fighting was really fun, eh? Especially when you get to see the results of the spell you shot. Although, that last spell she aimed at the Ravenclaw didn't stick it to the floor, it still hit it and kinda toppled it forwards. Good. And heeey! Why was everyone on the Slytherin armor still!? Could she attack people? No? Just checking. Also, they had craved quite good amount of runes so they could count on that. That was what the lesson was about.

The snake spun around dramatically waving her wand and eyeing people. For no reason other than it was kind of a battle and it felt appropriate. But then she ran aside because people were being reckless with their spells. Dudes, watch out who you're shooting at. She obviously wasn't a knight. She was too pretty to be one. Psht.

Her eyes fell on the nearest suit of armor. The Hufflepuff one. She practically saw it whenever she looked around. The yellow mascot was eye catching. Aiming her wand at it, she made sure no students were in the way and flicked her wand, unerring."Bombarda! Oh, look, Lex was aiming at it, too. That had to have an effect.

"Nigel! Levitate me. I'm slipping," Mo yelped in a rather hysterical tone. As in, he was in hysterics not as in he was funny. Although he was funny. His hysterics were hysterical. He slipped a bit, and Mo jammed his fingers into the crevice beneath the suit's helmet, hoping desperately that he didn't knock the whole thing off.

Oh! The helmet. Mo pulled himself back up, striking at the helmet with the fist holding his wand. Stupid thing was still backwards, and probably was staring at him... right. Now. Yikes.

His wand came loose, and Mo slid again, this time only managing to get a grip when he wrapped his legs around one of the suit's giant tree trunk legs and dug his fingers into the chain mail. One last go, and then he was probably going to get thrown loose. "Intaglio Algiz Algiz Algiz. Intaglio Algiz Algiz Algiz. Intaglio Algiz Algiz Algiz." And yes, he HAD just protected the suit of armor's rear end.

Suits of Armour 10-01-2013 12:32 AM

The Slytherin armour crossed its two arms as the spells hit it (TakemetotheBurrow, FearlessLeader19, Charely Potter, hermionesclone, Meizzner) a small dent finally appeared on one of them but the runes kept glowing and absorbing most of those powerful spells. The armour itself walked on with its stick!spear at the ready.

The Hufflepuff armour was being fixed by its people, the arm that fell off was back again and officially its weak point if it weren't for the brand new runes. Suddenly it was hit by a new wave of spells (DaniDiNardo, the fastest seeker) which caused it to stumble forwards knocking the kids to the floor (TakemetotheBurrow, FearlessLeader19).

The Ravenclaw armour was still on its knees... with a boy climbing up on it like a chimpanzee and.. oh ohh ahhhh the energy, the magic, it was flowing back into the armour and just as the helmet was rotated, the armour started to rise and he grabbed onto the boy's waist to hold him in place. HAZAR!CLANK TO THE BATTLE.

The Gryffindor armour was still hanging the girl (amadshade) upside down and shaking her to empty her pockets.

Wait was Mo slipping now. It looked like he had a secure grip on the knight. Rune Carving was dangerous work.

Alright, Alright. Nigel heard Mo and it was looking a tiny bit dangerous now.

"Wingardium Leviosa"

There Mo. now you were levitating and able to protect our house's knight. Though it seemed like the knight was holding onto his waist. Interesting predicament Mo was in right now. So Nigel stopped levitating him and turned his attention back to the knights. Why not Hufflepuff

"Bombarda"

Kace saw the armor's in action. He was glad that his fellow puffs helped their hufflepuff statue. He was in great distress but now his arm is back in place! WOOT! Now onto which statue shall he hit.

He saw the Slytherin Suit of Armor was still able to move. It was at full power. But not for long....Kace aimed his wand at the armor and said, "Reducto!" he always wanted to use that spell. He hoped it worked.

Just as Mo thought he'd slip off completely, a huge metal arm snaked out and hoisted him back up. See that, guys? He and Ab-Bot and Claw-mor were going to rule the world... except Claw-mor was sort of giving him an atomic wedgy.

Umm... "Intaglio Algiz Algiz Algize. Intagliooooouch. I mean Intaglio Algiz Algiz Algiz." Mo drew the rune on the giant arm, finishing just as Nigel's spell caught him and lifted him up up UP and away. Perfect timing, Raven-bro.

"You can put me down. Let's take out Slytherin's armor dude."

Wade nearly sighed in relief as the arm he reattached was safely secured. Captain Ella and Ads got beams from Wade as they went right to carving extra protection spells when.. Whoa.

O_O

Two down, and it wasn't the suit of armours. He didn't know who casted the latest spells, since the Slytherin armour was taking it like a beater. Very Uncool. "Ella! Ads!" He crouched down to help two of badgers up from the ground. Adi was closest so he wrapped his arms under Adi's arms to lock around his shoulders before lifting him up. Then doing the same for Ella too. "Are you two, alright?"

He then looked around to see the scene before him... His brows furrowed at the Gryffindor armour who was currently holding one by the leg.. Wade didn't hesitate on aiming right its arm before saying, "Lacarnum Inflamarae" Sending a nice fireball towards it. So it can put the student down now, you know? It was still a battle though, and their Hufflepuff armour was going to need even more carving, as the others had been brilliantly doing.

Concentrating fully, on the arm of Guy, the Hufflepuff armor, Wade fixed his arm right at it. "Intaglio Algiz.. Algiz.. Algiz..Algiz.. Algiz.. Algiz.. Algiz!" Feel the power.. Be the power, Mr. Armour.

OH HEY! Look! The arm for their armour had been reattached! AWESOME! Except, this tiny little fact brought up quite a few questions. Like, was the armour completely recovered now? Was it strong enough to go into battle? Would it be okay with receiving badger!hugs afterwards? Because hugs definitely needed to be--

...

NOOO! BLINK. ELLS! And ADDI! ... Looks like the armour wasn't completely okay, then. Especially since it has FALLEN on a pretty girlfriend and an awesome firstie. Not great. And what with all the spells that were being thrown around everywhere, it was hard to figure out who had cast the spell that had caused this to happen. Unless, you know, their armour was just clumsy. He seriously doubted that, though.

Deciding that hugs definitely needed to be given later, the seventeen year old turned to face... AHA! The Ravenclaw armour. The one he had attacked quite a few times already but... no one needed to know that. He raised his wand once again and aimed it towards the Ravenclaw armour. Aim... aim... "Flipendo!"

Not waiting to see whether this had worked or not, the Hufflepuff headed over towards the Captain and the firstie AND the Head Boy. His hair did that funny waving thing, which sort of amused him. Or it would if... yeah. "You're bot hurt, are you?" he asked, adding onto Wade's question, "Both of you?"

Apparently Alec hated Ravenclaws, which was NOT bro behavior. That was the only explanation, since the Ravenclaw suit of armor had literally been taken to its knees only a moment ago. It made Mo want to go after the Hufflepuff armor...

But no. He was closer to the Slytherin suit of armor, and he was sort of feeling achy in parts of him that shouldn't hurt. "Bombarda," Mo pointed his wand at the Slytherin knight. Take that, giant armor thing.

WHAAAAAAA! One second she was laughing and casting a spell at the relatively unscathed Slytherin suit of armor and the next she was upside down! Had someone cast the Levicorpus spell on her?! Why NOW of all times?! She was gonna get whoever it was that did this! She looked wildly about, gripping her shirt up in one hand (Thank Merlin she had decided to wear pants today!) and her wand in the other, trying to see who was smirking. As she was now being shaken, it was rather hard to see however and she nearly lost a grip on her wand. This was when she realized that it wasn't a spell holding her up, it was the Gryffindor suit of armor!

Putting her wand between her teeth, she reached with both hands to tuck in her shirt so she could have both arms moving freely. Her robes, however, were unfortunately trailing on the ground and had gotten caught beneath the armor's feet. She tried to reach up, but the robes were dragging her down, so she simply wriggled out of them and let them drop.

Now that she could move about, she tried to pry her foot free before suddenly stopping. She certainly did not want to get dropped on her head. Especially after her recent head injury. Speaking of which, all this blood to the brain was making her head hurt. The pain only made her angrier! She grabbed the armor's arm and with a great deal of effort started to pull herself up, kicking against the armor with her free foot to try to help her gain purchase. She was only shaken harder.

All this shaking caused things to fall from her pockets. Coins banged down her body and off her head to plop on the floor. She grabbed her wand from her mouth. "Don't ANYONE touch my money!" she shouted blindly at the other students. She didn't want anything stolen. Unfortunately, coins were not the only things in her pockets this class. She had her Astreglobe, which aside from being quite weighty, was very precious to Tora. As she had always taken very good care of said item, she had never tested how durable it actually was and so when it came bouncing her way shetried to shoot out a hand to catch it. Soon she realized that it was either catch it or let it bonk her in the head, and as she could barely think through the headache that was now pounding through her skull, she opted to dodge the projectile and hope for the best. Luckily, it landed safely on her robes before it was kicked away by the suit of armor that still held her captive.

Of course it was a suit of armor that held her captive. Tora vaguely wondered if it was the one she had Arresto Momentum-ed the other day in the Armory Gallery. It would make sense if it was and was now targeting her in revenge. She stuck her wand back in her mouth and tried to think. Since she was still being shaken fairly badly, she was not having the best of luck with that endeavor and so once again grabbed the wand from her mouth. She was about to shout something like 'Help!' until she stopped herself. She didn't need help! She knew enough spells to knock this thing flat. She pointed her wand at what looked to be a weak place (Ha! Gryffindor rune carvers missed a spot!) and said as best as she could the only spell she could think of. "Alarte Ascendare!".

It was only until after she said the spell did she realize that the suit of armor would probably go flying up carrying Tora along with it. Billywig rot.

West charged after the Slytherin armour, going back to the defensive since hey, rune stuff, wasn't it his strong point? Yes?

It wasn't EASY to carve on a moving suit of armour y'know? But West got a grip on it with one hand and went to town with his wand in the other. "Intaglio Algiz Algiz Algiz Algiz Algiz Algiz..."

He'd climb on the thing if he could, but he was too tall to manage that effectively now. Darn it. Instead he just kept hold and carved as many Algiz runes as he could, focusing on the damaged spots as best as possible as he followed the armour pretty much wherever it went.

Cassirin 10-01-2013 02:11 AM

Now that there was a West hanging from the Slytherin suit of armor, Mo wasn't willing to try to injure it anymore. Not send it falling or flailing or anyhing like that... He watched West with a small grin for a moment before turning his attention to the other two possible targets. Who looked like they needed it more?

Hufflepuff. Take that Alec-bro. Mo stalked along the perimeter of the room, making ferocious faces at the Hufflepuff suit of armor before he finally pointed his wand at the torso of the giant. "Flipendo."

Had West fallen off yet? He wanted to go after the Slytherin knight again.

West had.... an idea. Still gripping the Slytherin armour, he resheathed his wand. Crazy? MAaaaybe! Maybe not.

Focusing on the Slytherin armour and the Algiz runes upon it, West started to chant, trusting that his housemates would stop any spells from hitting him while his attention was on their armour.

"Algiz Algiz Algiz Algiz.... elhaz elhaz elhaz....z z z z z z z z z." He followed this with a whirring whistle that might have been alarming to someone who'd not heard runes invoked before. "Uz az iz ez uz....oz ez iz az uz...z z z z z z z z z....(m m m m m m m m m)"

Focussss.... c'mon runes. He wasn't just saying stuff for fun, West was intent on Algiz, its meaning, the symbolism behind it, its protective nature....

"Algiz Algiz Algiz Algiz.... elhaz elhaz elhaz....z z z z z z z z z." ...More whirs and whistles.... "Uz az iz ez uz....oz ez iz az uz...z z z z z z z z z....m m m m m m m m m...."

Suits of Armour 10-01-2013 03:00 AM

The Gryffindor armour was hit by the small ball of fire (Charely Potter), and the captive in its arm was struggling and shooting spells. It dropped the girl to the floor, satisfied that all her things were now scattered around, and turned toward the first attacker. PICKPOCKET IT IS! With the crack in its back, the armour marched forwards.

The Hufflepuff armour was hit by another spell (Meizzner), its newly fixed arm loosened a bit but didn't fall off this time, the new Algiz was doing the armour good but its surface looked a bit worn out from all the energy & carving. It had the dent to the side and the loosen arm.

The Ravenclaw armour had let go of the boy and was just chilling with its helmet in its RIGHT place. How 'bout that. Well.. until a spell (hermionesclone) hit it from behind, good thing it had runes on its bum! *CLANKCLANKCLANK* towards the attacker.

The Slytherin armour was busy waving its spear!stick in the air, aimlessly, when many things happened at once; the runes originally carved on its surface started to give a reddish glow rather than the golden one. The armour stood still, the boy (Tegz) still clinging to it, a couple of spells hit it (hpfan18, Cassirin). One of the spells was absorbed and poofed before the invoked runes finally worked & repelled the other spell onto the closest armour-- *CLASHCLANK* the Gryffindor armour froze to its spot, stunned.

Magical Soul 10-01-2013 03:00 AM

Botros was sitting behind his desk, toying with his wand and watching the students struggle in this battle. Some were taking it too seriously, but that was cute. He was particularly glad about; Hufflepuff's teamwork, Slytherin's excellence, Ravenclaw's creativity, and Gryffindor's determination. They all were doing great and just as planned in his eyes.

Except for when Odessa managed to invoke the runes carved on his house's armour. Botros slowly stood up, his mouth stretching into a surprised but gleeful smile. When he said all was fair in war, he definitely didn't imagine this would happen. There was a moment before the old man recovered and saw one of the armours heading towards the Head Boy.

He waved his wand and all armours turned away and marched noisily toward the professor's desk. "Well done everyone! Great job! Take a moment to breathe and appreciate your magic work today. Very good job. Odessa, that was a piece of work, what you did." He gave the boy a small applause, not everyone had a father who taught them about runes before school so the others shouldn't feel bad. Botros continued clapping as he said, "Great job Hufflepuffs, great teamwork. Impressive last-minute resorting Ravenclaws, well done. Amazing determination, Gryffindors, sorry you had the clumsy armour. I love it to bits, though." He grinned at the few Gryffindors who were probably panting and catching their breath.

"Let's see now." He fixed his glasses on his nose bridge and stepped down from the dais. "Hufflepuff armour has a dent and a loose arm, I'd give it three out of five. Gryffindor armour has a crack on its back, also three out of five. Slytherin armour has scratches on the arms and the knees, four out of five. Ravenclaw armour has a dent on the back and a loosen helmet, three out of five." Botros stopped at the last armour and faced the students with a proud smile and a twinkle to his old tired eyes. "Very good job, everyone again. You did well. Give yourself a pat on the shoulder." He waved his wand and all four armours did a powerful salute!

"That's the end of our lesson, don't worry about the mess. Just pack your things and go take a shower and have a nice meal." He headed for his desk again, "Odessa. May I speak with you in my office after you've showered and eaten, please." The boy was awfully gloomy this lesson.

ooc: - class is over. You can RP your character packing up & leaving.
- I'll keep this thread open for a while, thank you everyone for a fun lesson. xo

FearlessLeader19 10-01-2013 03:18 AM

What an awesome lesson that was! Adi grinned at his Housemates. "You know you guys are always great to work with, right?'' First in Astronomy and now here, in Runes class. Hufflepuff House members made an excellent team!

Thank goodness they didn't have to bother about the mess of the room. Adi was rather hungry so the Great Hall was his next stop. He grabbed his bag. "See you guys later!'' he called to the Hufflepuffs. "Professor! Thanks for this fun lesson! It's a memorable first one!''

Sonea 10-01-2013 08:03 AM

Pff… it was over! She didn’t liked this practice lesson, so she was really happy that it was over!! Still with her wand in her hand she ran back to grab her school stuff when professor Botros had told them that the lesson was over. The lesson had been difficult, but with the notes she had made would she been able to learn for her homework, so she wasn’t really worried.

Walking past the professor she smiled shortly. “Bye professor, and thanks”, was all what she said before she left the classroom quickly.

Kimothy 10-01-2013 01:53 PM

Aww, done already? Kat wasn't ready to end the battle yet, even if she was glad that Slytherin's armour was the one with the least damages. She liked activities like these, but it shouldn't be mistaken for someone who encourages fighting. It was all for fun and it was pretty educational too. It was why she definitely enjoyed Ancient Runes and was determined to do better in her NEWTs. She sucked her OWLs too much and she wasn't satisfied at all.

Did Slytherin get extra points for being the least damaged armour? Yes? Kat wanted the answer to be a 'yes' because it was effort. But time to leave though. Packing things, Kat turned to Professor Botros. "Thanks for the interesting lesson, Professor." And she smiled too. She hoped for more interesting ones in the future, but for now it was time to leave for her next class.

TakemetotheBurrow 10-01-2013 02:38 PM

So...Ella had been working on giving the Hufflepuff suit of armor more runes when many things happened at once. She was knocked over, she was then picked up again by Wade, and she was being asked if she was okay. Only she wasn't really paying attention because she was watching more battle happening. Who cared if she was alright! Hufflepuff armor, people. She did give Wade a smile for helping her up, though. "Thanks!" And just so that boyfriend wasn't worried, "I'm good. No worries."

But then it was over and that was sort of sad. Ells had quite enjoyed this lesson. The blonde smiled at the suits of armor as they marched towards the professor's desk, waving a little. Byyyyeee, you guys. Thanks for coming! *_*

Props for Hufflepuff teamwork? GRIN. Ella beamed at her housemates and felt really proud. Awesome house was awesome, yeah? She was just happy to have cool people to work with.

The seventeen year old packed up her things and pulled the strap of her bag up onto her shoulder, ready to head out. "Thanks for the lesson, Professor. It was brilliant." Really, really.

Ella gave the Hufflepuff armor a wink on the way out too. Good job, Guy. Good job.
