He had a tent! A little red and yellow tent for the little gargoyle statues! How awesome was this?

VERY.

But... if he wanted to fit a lot of things in his tent, he'd need to cast a particular charm on it, right? A particular charm that would make it larger on the inside than it appears on the outside. And this was one they had learnt just last term so... it wasn't too hard to remember, yeah?

Magnus Centrum... magnus centrum... magnus centrum... "Magnus Centrum!" he said, tapping his wand on the tent. Had it worked? He bent down and took a peek inside the tent and sticking his hand inside. His fingers reached out and touched the edge of the tent lightly. ... Nope. Frown. Was he doing something wrong or...?

Deep breath... "Magnus Centrum!" Tap. He bent down again and reached inside the tent again. Reach... streeeeeeetch... stretch some more... it didn't matter if most of his arm was inside the tent now...

OH HEY. That had worked! GRIN.

Post 6, casually smashing every other step together in one post whoops

Buttons next. Alice fetched some beetles for the next spell and brought them back to her desk, though she was only going to actually use four for the vest. Best to have some in case she, like, squashed them or screwed them up like she did the leaf, yes? "Bruchus Puga." And just a steady point. "Bruchus Puga. Bruchus Puga. Bru-chus Pu-ga. Bruchus Puga." Once that incantation felt easy enough on her tongue, too, she grabbed her wand again and began performing it.

"Bruchus Puga." Annnd.. button. No legs, and while it still had that shine of an actual beetle, it was mostly a button, so Alice wasn't going to fret. "Bruchus Puga. Bruchus Puga. Bruchus Puga." Soon enough, she had four beetles that more or less resembled buttons now.

.. how was she supposed to attach those?

Moving on. Extension charm now? "Magnus Centrum!" She tapped her wand against the tent as she performed the spell, then stuck her hand in there, and her whole arm as well. Just to make sure it worked before tugging it out again and going to grab some furnishings. Could she just dump stuff in there? Alice found enough circus-y objects at the supply area and brought them back to her desk, not bothering to arrange them neatly and instead shoving them inside the tent.

And now she just needed to put together those buttons and the vest. And then stick it on her gargoyle. Right now, though, she was being looked at, and was making points of looking back. Hi. .. yeah, piecing could be done later.

Wrapping up guys.

This was good.

Sophia was enjoying how engaged everyone looked with their circuses. No one was clowning around (pardon the pun) or chatting when they needed to be working. Really it made her feel good and proud of her students and that might have cemented her good mood for the rest of the day.

It might also be the reason why the transfiguration Professor had lost all track of time. She quickly got to her feet when she checked her watch and realized what time it was.

"Alright class. It's time to wrap up. You may take the materials with you if you failed to finish decorating your tent and accessorizing your gargoyles since the next time we meet we'll have an audience."

She beamed at them.

"Some of you may have noticed the last spell on the board and it undoubtedly tickled your interest. Well a select few of you will be given these specially selected rocks to transfigure into miniature dragons, which you'll be allowed to use in your circus and keep here after but unless if I noticed that you were able to master all the spells on the board." Smileeee!

"Now back up and stand by your desk while I make my list."

TakemetotheBurrow 06-06-2013 09:16 PM

Time to wrap up already? Sigh. Ella felt like she had a lot more accessorizing to do and Bob didn't look quite like a circus performer yet but at least she got to take her materials with her. That was definitely a plus. The bit about the audience totally freaked her out, though. Just saying.

She quickly gathered her materials together, smiling a little to herself. The miniature dragons sounded SO cool and even if she didn't get to make one, she wanted to watch somebody do it. They'd let her, yeah? Whoever got to work with the special rocks? She'd resort to puppy dog eyes if necessary, especially where dragons were concerned.

Standing up and smoothing her uniform, the blonde waited quietly for the list.

lemon 06-06-2013 09:43 PM

Dragons. ALICE wanted to make a miniature dragon. That would be especially cool, because then her circus wouldn't be only consisting of a dolled up gargoyle. Would the fact that she'd sank her teeth into Bellaire ruin her chances of making the list? Even if she didn't, watching was okay too, but making a dragon was better. And she wanted to. Solemn eyes for you, professor, this fifth year was all seriousness. So dragon? Pretty please? Hmm?

Making sure she was presentable looking and stuff because she knew Bellaire liked that, Alice gathered her materials before standing and waiting.

itsjustjesse 06-06-2013 10:10 PM

Mika BEAMEDat Professor Bellaire, standing she quickly made sure that her tent was neatly set up by giving it a once-over. And adjusting a fallen streamer. THERE - and her gargoyle was sitting there clothed, and everything looked neat and clean. The gargoyle's sparkling vest even had buttons that didn't fall off - cause they were magically glued to it...not to mention the buttons were just so STRONG and black and beautiful.

Beaming some more she quickly straightened out her hair pulling it back into a TIGHT pony tail. She even whipped out her trusty little lint brush and de-linted her skirt and robes before stowing it into the bag once more. A few more little checks and the important duck-tail-check and she looked like she hadn't even run around to find the essentials earlier. She just looked neat, clean, and impeccable.

She stood up and waited along side of her tent, standing there and glancing over at the teal and magenta thing. It was beautiful and bright - and cheery. And heck it was almost as cheery as she was.

DaniDiNardo 06-06-2013 10:18 PM

Lex had gotten done with the vest just in time to hear the Professor's next set of instructions. They were wrapping up? So she wouldn't get to play with her gargoyle this lesson? But...but she liiiiiiked him--

OOOO DRAGONS!!!

THEY WERE GETTING DRAGONS!!! She wanted one! Could she?! It wouldn't burn down the castle eventually, the Professor wouldn't give them anything that epic anyway. She could take GOOD CARE of it!!! Honest!!! Lex was trying not to seem eager as she took her seat and waited--they never gave it to the eager ones--but already she was bouncing with anticipation...or maybe sugar...these things were hard to tell you know.

BUT ANYWAY, Dragooooons.

oh its Erik ok 06-06-2013 11:19 PM

Ah Nigel did want some dragons in his circus. Sounded like fun and his gargoyles were already dressed up as awesome as possible. Plus Nigel though dragons were awesome and that all that counts.

Nigel got up and stood by his seat. Standing and Waiting to see who can have dragons in their circus.

Cassirin 06-06-2013 11:42 PM

Obediently, and quite suddenly very intent on his belongings, Mo carefully packed away the accoutrements he had managed into his tent. The buttons and vest were removed from the gargoyle and placed carefully under one of the rings, and the gargoyle himself went into the center ring.

"Be good, okay? Don't get into trouble." He closed up the tent flap and took his position at his desk again, attention on the professor. He'd done all those spells... did that mean he got a dragon?

Expecto-Penguin 06-06-2013 11:47 PM

Woah the class was over already?? Well he would learn how to make the tent next time and decorate his gargoyle. At least he managed to make a circus ring, buttons and a vest. Kace thought he did well for the lesson. Hopefully the professor noticed too.

As the professor instructed them to stand up, Kace stood up out of his seat and brushed off his robes. He was waiting quietly for the professor to write out the list. He was excited to preform next class.

Time to wrap up? Audience? That was interesting. As was the draconifors thing yeah for sure. He was PRETTY sure that him and Dylan, if they didn't get chosen, would try it out on their own later on. He shot a quick glance at the Quidditch captain as he cleaned up his stuff and then stood up by his desk and waited.

He looked eager, but not particularly confident that Bellaire would choose him.

Bazinga 06-06-2013 11:58 PM

Minerva had just picked up a few beetles when she heard Profesor Bellaire say that it was time to go back to their desk. NOOOOOOOOO she wasn't finished and she was having so much fun, did they really have to stop. Having a bit of a pouty lip Min moved back to her desk.

Oh they could finish it outside of class well that would be awesome, because she really did want to work on it more. *Happy Face* Now she stood by her desk and waited for the next instructions. Oh the rocks, that would be a fun thing to do, she hoped she would end up with one.

DecemberMoon 06-07-2013 12:01 AM

Wrapping up? Oh man... She glanced at her weird little circus ring, no where near satisfied with it. Oh well, I can try more later, she thought as she arranged her materials on her desk. The ring had still been turning out far too serious than she wanted it to be, so she'd have to work on envisioning more...pizazz. But that was what the rest of the spells were for too, so she'd have to work on them. And an audience? She didn't like the sound of that. Performing in front of people wasn't really her thing. But she supposed it was sort of Goylie's thing now, since she'd basically made him in that exact image - the image of a performer. She felt confident her gargoyle was up to snuff, and stood by her desk, awaiting inspection.

Govoni 06-07-2013 12:17 AM

Six

Knelling down to take a closer look into the tent, Dylan GRINNED in triumph! He'd done it! Just pass the tiny green and blue flaps, there was enough space to comfortably house a hundred miniature gargoyles...or more, even. There was no way to know for sure unless they tested...

Glancing over at his own gargoyle, the Captain beamed. "You'll be able to have friends over."...because Gi Abi Goon's social life needed some work. It must have been lonely...considering the last friend he'd had was Darth Gargy...and that hadn't even been a real friendship. They'd JEDI-battled each other...Perhaps he could arrange a play-date for the gargoyles. Get them comfortable with more than just themselves...

Smirking at the brilliance of that thought, Dylan pulled his little red vest over and the four blue buttons...AND he continued to talk to the inanimated gargoyle. "I'm getting you something to wear...because that important." He glanced around at the others who were making vests and such. So, it was time to bust out 'adhaero'.

Too bad he didn't know any stitching spells. Green stitching could've been cute...

With meticulous tracing and wand-strokes, Dylan went about sticking each tiny BLUE button to the equally tiny RED vest. First button...second button...third button....FOURTH button...

There. Done.

SPOILER!!: Bellaire!

Oh, they were finishing up. With a nod in the Professor's general direction, the Slytherin started cleaning up his odds and ins, expanding the front part of his bag so his 'Circus' materials could be separate from his school books, quills, inkwells, potions kit...his trunk...ALL those things.

...And his gargoyle...who was homeless because the tent had be transfigured from his box...Well, Dylan couldn't just very well stick him down in there with no cover, could he? With that thought, he slowly removed his scarf, making the conscious decision to let his neck freeze for this toy.

Wrapping the gargoyle up snugly in Slytherin colors...which looked fantastic on the figurine, by the way...Gi Abi Goon finally joined the bag. Everything was in the bag...

...AND HE'D BEEN RIGHT! Professor Bellaire was specially picking people for this Dragon business. Snap...He wanted to do that! Dylan had never performed the spell, of course...but he was confident that was something he'd be good at. It was dragons. He LOVED dragons....but who didn't like dragons? Well, he could honestly think of a few...who were afraid of fire...

Wimps.

After finishing with his clean-up...(there hadn't been that much to do)...the Slytherin Captain moved to stand by his desk, bag laying on the desktop. Now, the wait...

Catching West Odessa's look, he offered a brief nod. They were, of course, on the same page. Special rock or no...he'd be making a dragon...Just sayin'.

Just as Sky was about to start decorating her tent with her stuff, Professor Bellaire had called the class. Great. She put all the stuff down in neat little piles inside her tent and stood beside her desk. Well, it was obvious whose name wasn't going to be on the list. Not that she had wanted to deal with a dragon anyway. Chance of getting burnt? Not her bag. She could think of other ways to make her tent more interesting. In fact, a lot of them were already spinning around her head....

masterofelves 06-07-2013 01:39 AM

Ethan wasn't too excited to start dressing his gargoyle, but he thought this next spell was interesting. He had collected his leaves and laying them out before him, got to work.

"Folium Induant!", "Folium Induant!", he said to every leaf. He was satisfied with every piece of vest that he had produced except for one that still had a leafy texture. "Folium Induant!", he said quickly. Instantly, the vest became normal. If he wasn't mistaken the dragons were up next...

FearlessLeader19 06-07-2013 02:36 AM

Already the class was about to end? Time does fly when you're having fun. But Jory was all done. He had just finished straightening his flag when Professor Bellaire began to speak. Only a few? He wondered who would be selected.

The Puffer packed up his stuff and stood by his desk.

Princesspower 06-07-2013 12:25 PM

Now that she had her vest she needed buttons. First she put the Jacket on Greg and was surprised that it fitted. Now the buttons. Sarah did not flinch as she put the beetle before her. Everyone else seemed so ahead there was no point in doing it the long way. She would just have to be lucky. "bruchus puga" she said the wand poiting at the beetle. Behold it turned into a white star shaped button. Good going. She got more beetles and did the same treatment to them. Soon she had three buttons in front of her. "adhero" she said attatching each button to the vest. It looked good on Greg... maybe a bit Girly. She was about to turn her attention back to her tent when the professor spoke.

They had to wrap up? Sarah had so much more to do! Well luckily she would be able to work on it later. She wrote down all of the things on the board and headed over to the box with material in it. She took quite a lot as she was a just incase person, also there was a lot aof work to be done.

Standing by her desk she awaited further instructions

Tazzie 06-08-2013 02:13 AM

Oh.

Time to wrap up? Already? She was still kinda having fun dressing Viserys up. But Professor Bellaire was the lady of this class, so she called the shots and if she said it was time to wrap up, then it was time to do so. Fiiiiiiiine then. Finishing everything up, Beezus gathered her things idly wondering who their audience for next time will be.....oh, you know...she wonders about a lot of things even subconsciously.

The dragons DID really ticked her interest. And she was actually hoping they could do it today but...what? ....Only a selected few would be able to do the said transfiguration. Meh. Well, she did got all the spells right. Here's to hoping she was on that list then.

The Ravenclaw stood up, smoothing her skirt on the process and waited.

Dragons, Dragons, Dragons.

emjay 06-11-2013 07:18 PM

Once he had finished transfiguring buttons out of beetles, Ethan knew he had one more thing to create.. a vest for his gargoyle. And he gave Rockie a knowing smile before setting to work. Picking up the leaf and setting it down in front of him, Ethan's eyes drifted to the board and the spell that was written there. Folium induant- turns leaf to vest.. wand movement: light tap on the object.. Seemed simple enough.

The boy picked up his wand, tapped it on the leaf, and commanded, "Folium induant!" He watched as the leaf slowly formed into a vest.. well, a vest that looked a bit small. But it seemed that he would not have time to redo it, at least for now, as Bellaire was now calling for the class's attention.

Just as he figured, time to wrap up.. He could fix the sizing of the vest later and he turned his eyes to the front of the room. He glanced down at the rocks as they were mentioned.. yes, he had been interested in that spell.. then he glanced back up at Bellaire. Hmm.. she had been in an awfully good mood this lesson, was she beaming at them? Watching her a bit suspiciously, he got up from his desk as prompted, and stood next to it, waiting for her to make her list. He kinda hoped he would be selected as well.

masterofelves 06-17-2013 05:48 PM

It took Ethan a while to realize the Professor was trying to get their attention. Sitting up in his chair, he listened carefully. So most of them were not going to be doing dragons. He stood by his desk and waited for Professor Bellaire to finish her list.
