Now Sarah needed to make her tent bigger in order taht she would be able to fit more things in it. The undetectable extension charm was one of the charms that she casted often as she had it in her bag after all.How else would she fit all of it inside it?

"Magnus Centrum" she casted on her tent and then she peaked her head inside. There was nothing, she had not thought hard enough about the interior when she casted it. Now it was time to reverse. She stuck her head back out and took out her wand. "reverto" she casted and it became a box again.

Then Sarah repeated "Circo Anulum" thinking hard of her purple tent with the white stars with a blue flag on top. Inside there must be chairs and the actually ring must be blue. Then the box began to change and after Sarah did the extension charm again she peeked inside. Perfect!

All of his circus decor and acrobatic equipment was now carefully arranged in his undetectably expanded, red and white circus tent. Now what else did he need to do? Ethan squinted up at the board. A couple of clothing spells.. he wasn't sure how interested in that.. though he figured Rockie might look alright in a vest. But the last spell was sort of interesting.. maybe he'd try that one next.

He was about to walk up to the teacher's desk to obtain a couple rocks from the box when he stopped as he heard Bellaire's voice, informing another student that the very spell he wanted to try out was not to be used yet without her permission. Hmm.. he must have missed that too.

So, that made his mind up for him.. He would work on dressing his gargoyle.

Leaves and beetles.. Ethan went to get a leaf and a handful of beetles, then brought them back to his desk. He figured he should start on the beetles first so they didn't crawl away before he could transfigure them. And of course as soon as he set them down, they tried to scurry away anyway.

He pointed his wand with intent at each one. "Bruchus puga!" Button. "Bruchus puga!" Button. "Bruchus puga!" Button. The last one seemed intent on not becoming a button as it hurried towards the side of his workstation. Putting his hand near the edge, Ethan picked up the little bug and placed it back in the center of his desk. "Bruchus puga!" Now he had four buttons.. apparently to stick on the vest once he had made one.

After sighing at his pink tent for a while, Theo grabbed his gargoyle from his bag and placed it in front of him. It was pretty ugly, but he wasn't too sure how quickly he was going to master these spells to fix that. He would give it a go, of course. Theo always had a go.

He picked up a beetle, cringed, and decided to cast it quickly. "Bru-chus Porta." The beetle was getting away! So he had to grab it again. CRINGE. Whilst he held on to it, Theo glanced up at the board to refresh the incantation.

Bruchus Puga.

OHhhhhhhhh....

Theo placed the beetle on the table and said, "Bruchus Pugar!" Nothing. "Bruchas Pugar!" He stopped and frowned hard at his wand. Because it was always the wand's fault. Bru-chas Pu-ga. Not so much of the 'aaaaarrrr' on the end. Okay, cool.

"Brucus Puga."

And great. All that and one button.

"bruchus puga". Nigel pointed and cast at the other beetles. It was getting easier after every-time he cast the spell. He watch as the last beetle turned into a button and double checked that all were buttons. He did not want a wandering beetle in his circus. No way.

Once he was positive all were accounted for he got ready and looked at the board for the next spell on the list. folium induant. Now where were the leaves. Some quick looking found them in the corner of his box. He bought it to the middle and put it down. Okay here we go.

Nigel lightly tapped the leaf and cast "folium induant". It was not as cool as the beetle because the was/is a living animal. But turning a leaf into a vest was pretty awesome indeed.

"Folium Induant". Nigel cast. He was starting to wonder why they needed vest adn if they were going to put them on something.

After the ONE button was done, Theo popped his wand on the table to take a breather. Was he really exhausted after making just one button? Pathetic. PATHETIC. He realized that his circus tent was looking a little bare, since he had forgotten to go and get decorations for it. So he would do that before any more spells. Theo got to his feet and collected a few things from the box at the front.

This was a pretty cool idea. Granted that he did all of the dressing spells correctly, this could be quite fun in the end.

He grabbed a ton of balls and a mini circus ring, along with a few other little bits and bobs. When he was back to his desk, Theo laid down a mini mat in his tent, then added the ring beside it neatly. He lined up all of the balls around the outside of the tent and BOOM, it looked awesome.

But now he was faced with those spells. Cos so far, his gargoyle was dressed with a button. Poor guy.

Folium Induant. Right. That was easy enough to say. PFFFFFFT.

Eh she was just going to try the spell. Cause she knew that spell – and it was a transfigurations spell and not a sticking charm. So she aligned the buttons against the sparkling teal and vibrant green and pink vest. Peaches was going to live up to her name yeah? Cause well, it was a peachy-pink and not a violent pink which is good.

“Epoximise” she beamed as she lined the button against the vest. “Epoximise” there again! And finally, “epoximise” there! All the buttons were connected. And by using a transfigurations spell! She was happy, no pleased, with herself. Taking the vest buttoning it and unbuttoning it to make sure it worked she finally wiggled and waggled it around until it was finally on Peaches!

“There you are you handsome little devil you” ooh bad wording right? Gargoyles being creepy and all.

Folium Induant.

Now THIS bad boy of a spell was gonna need some serious practice before Theo attempted it. He put down his wand first, then grabbed a leaf and placed it in front of him. He looked it all over, not that it would make any different to his performance, then pictured a simple vest in his head. Just a very simple, NOT PINK, vest.

Fol-i-um.... In-du-ant.

"Fol." He paused, "I-um." Folium, Folium, Folium. "In-du-ant." In-du-ant. Induant.

He looked over at the board to double check his pronunciation, and to take a look at the wand movement, too. A light tap on the object. Oh, good, it was a nice and easy one. Transfiguration movements always seemed to be much simpler than charms. It was nice. Now... he picked up his wand and practiced just tapping his leaf for a moment.

This practicing was flawless, so Theo was convinced that this would not go wrong.

He readied his wand above the leaf and with a light tap, said, "Foliom Induant!" And something happened... the leaf turned itself into... a.... MINI SKIRT. No, sorry, his gargoyle wasn't going to wear a skirt, especially one with that many holes on it. Theo frowned hard and got himself a new leaf from the front of the class. Well, at least he was on the right page with this spell. A few more casts and he should have his vest!

Theo tried another three times with the spell, but this time, it just stayed the same. No progress. DARN.

Stupid leaf. It was broken.

Circus tent was all set up now and Ella's undetectable extension charm had worked wonders. She was pretty proud of that, actually. Beamy-beam-beam.

Now Bob needed to have some clothes, yeah? All the best circus performers had a costume of sorts. Mostly Ella wanted to give Bob a big circus hat but she figured with all the flipping she planned on making him do, the hat would just fall off. Instead she gathered some beetles. ICK. And started to make some buttons. Yup. Buttons for Bob.

"Bruchus puga....bruchus puga...bruchus puga...bruchus puga..." Bruchus sounded weird, didn't it? Like some kind of awful food you'd try to avoid at dinnertime or something? Yup. Ella thought so. Maybe it was because of the beetles and such. Mhm.

Now that she'd practiced the incantation, it was time to try it out. The blonde grabbed a beetle, wrinkled her nose, and pointed a steady wand at it. She wanted a yellow button and she was going to get one. Yup! She was. "Bruchus puga!" ...GRIN! Button. It wasn't as bright yellow as she wanted it to be but it was still yellow and that counted.

Point. "Bruchus puga!" Yellow-er!

Point. "Bruchus puga!" ...Nope. That was too bright. Yikes.

And did she mention she sort of felt bad about the beetles? ...Cause she totally did. Totally.

Expecto-Penguin 06-06-2013 12:14 AM

Once Kace was confident he could make buttons, he tried to see if he could make the vests. He had the leaf on his desk and before he did any inaction, he checked his notebook...

SPOILER!!: His Notebook

folium induant- turns leaf to vest
wand movement: light tap on the object

Alright so he had to lightly tap on the object. That seemed easy enough. He tried to start saying it first.

"Folia Indunt?" Noo....that wasn't it.

"Foili Indant?" Nahh that wasn't right.

"Fo-li-um In-du-ant......Fo-li-um In-du-ant......Fo-li-um In-du-ant." he kept repeating to try and get it right. Then he started saying it right.

"Folium Induant...Folium Induant...Folium Induant." He finally GOT IT. Time to put it into action.

He concentrated on his object and said "Folium Induant!" and with a light tap on the leaf, it started to turn into a vest for his gargoyle!

"WOOOAHHH." he said out loud watching the magic happen. He couldn't help it, he just thought it was so cool!

AlwaysSnapesGirl 06-06-2013 12:41 AM

Try again. That was what she was gonna do.

Penelope eyed the wooden box, wondering for a moment whether she could still try with it half circular and half square/rectangular-ish. It would be easier to just change half of the wooden box than the whole thing, wouldn't it? But...it could also just get even worse. So she decided against it. "Finite." And there, it was a complete wooden box again.

Okay, NOW to try again. Circo Anulum. Circle motion, keep wrist steady, point. Yep, she had this.

And then...it occurred to her that maybe the circular motion could help more than she was letting it. Because she wanted to turn this box into a ring, right? Which was a circle. And the wand movement was a circle.

It was all finally connecting in her mind.

So eyeing the box once more, she closed her eyes and pictured in her mind it turning into the circus ring she wanted while she moved her hand steadily in a circular motion, keep her wrist firm and immobile, and then pointing as she said, "Circo Anulum." Focus... Focus...

...focus...

She opened her eyes. And grinned.

A circus ring! Yes! Finally it worked.

lazykitty 06-06-2013 12:44 AM

Deciding that her tent wasn't quite big enough on the inside, she focused on making the thing bigger and held out her wand. "Magnus Centrum!" There, that was better. Now, how did she want her tent decorated? Definitely not with a bunch of buttons. Nope. So, she walked over to the box of circus-y decorations at the front and searched through it until she found stuff that she wanted. Carrying it back to her tent, she organized the stuff into four separate piles and thought about where to place things.

TakemetotheBurrow 06-06-2013 01:02 AM

Three buttons was enough right? Ella wasn't exactly sure how many yellow buttons Bob could pull off at one time and really, three seemed like just the right amount. Mhm!

Next up was the vest. Bob could totally be a vest wearing gargoyle. He just sort of had the face for it, y'know? Besides, it'd only enhance his already lovely gargoyle personality. Yup, Bobby G was a character alright.

All she'd need to do is say folium induant and tap the object lightly, yeah? Yeah. She could definitely handle this.

"Folium induant....folium induant...folium induant....folium induant...."

Not too hard to say. She'd need a good leaf for this though, right? The blonde picked out a rather large one to cover Bob because he wasn't exactly a thin gargoyle and she didn't want him to feel uncomfortable. Once she had that, she got right to work.

"Folium induant." TAP. ...Nothing.

Sigh.

Concentrating a bit more this time she said, "Folium induant!" Tap. ...This time a vest appeared, but not in the color she wanted. The blonde was looking for red but only saw a black vest. Too plain for Bobby G.

"Reverto."

"Folium induant." Tap. ...BEAM! Red vest! It was perfect and with some yellow buttons it'd match her circus ring! Cool beans.

Her gargoyle and its box was out on top of her desk, and Alice was giving it serious looks. It was going to cooperate now, right? Because she needed it to. She didn't pick up her wand just yet, instead she began practicing the spell first. Since it was new and all, and she didn't want to botch it up. "Circo Anulum. Circo Anulum. Cir-co An-u-lum. Circo Anulum." Each syllable was enunciated until the words felt right on her tongue and she was sure she had the incantation down. And intent wouldn't be a problem, she assumed.

Movement next? A circular motion, and then a point. Alice kept her wrist as steady and locked as possible as she grabbed her wand and proceeded to make a circular shape with her hand, pointing after. Did that look right enough? No one had said anything, so she assumed she was doing it correctly, and went back to eyeing the box.

Circus ring. Should be simple.

Professor i need help :D

Kace wanted to make his tent and expand it because he wanted to add more stuff to it. He had his vest all set and a button but he might make more for his gargoyle. He dressed him up in his vest and he also had his circus ring all ready.

He wanted to know how to do the undetectable extension charm. Kace raised his hand and asked, "Professor how would you do the undetectable extension charm? Also how would you make the tent?"

He was only a first year after all...he only knew so little. Plus he needed help with the wand movements.

"Cir-co An-u-lum." Alice said the incantation ONE LAST TIME as a practice before piecing it together as a whole with the movement and everything. And she was supposed to picture a circus ring, right? A mental picture appeared in her head, one of a tent with bright gold and scarlet stripes with a ring and all the other little bits that the professor's had. Nothing too fancy. Because her intent wasn't intent-y enough for that. Most of her thoughts were focused on other things. And people. Clearly.

But enough intent must have been present, because when she next cast the spell, it seemed to work just fine. "Circo Anulum." And.. tent. Alice let out a breath she didn't know she was holding and leaned forward to inspect it, noting the stripes in the predetermined colors and all the other little furnishings that made it look circus-y. Or hopefully. She didn't know, she hadn't actually ever SEEN a circus tent, apart from the one Bellaire had just transfigured. And the ones all around her now.

That was how it was supposed to look, though, right?

Cassirin 06-06-2013 02:00 AM

Mo tugged the vest onto his gargoyle. So what if it was shiny and more like center ring than ringmaster? At least it was vest shaped, which... was pretty much the point here. If it was too bling-y, he could always just try out something different in the privacy of his own dorm.

Now, though, he wanted to move on to the tent. There were all those neat rings and pennants and things, and the only way he was going to get those inside his tent was by employing that fancy extension charm they'd learned last term with the tents. It wasn't on the board, but she'd said they could use it.

Right?

Mo pointed his wand at the tent and cast, "Magnus Centrum." He pulled back and looked around inside the opening of the tent. It wasn't like the charm was OBVIOUS, so he would need to start shoving stuff in there to see if it worked. Mo traipsed off to retrieve accoutrements for his tent.

"folium induant". Nigel cast again. Nigel had no idea how many vests he needed. But felt that more was better in this case. He even had an idea to make them all a different color. Taste The Rainbow and all that. Lets see. The first one was green and the next one was blue. So which color to make this one. Well since he was doing the rainbow. Why not indigo. It was such a cool color. Not as awesome as cadbury purple. But nothing could be.

"folium induant". Nigel cast with a light tap on the leaf. Now he had an indigo vest and it was AWESOME!

Well. Whatever. If her tent came out wrong, she didn't notice.

Alice was a lady, yes, but did not think her gargoyle needed a circus costume and whatnot. People went to circuses for the acts and tricks, not to see what the performers were adorned in, right? Like.. she was fifteen, okay? Never played with dolls to begin with, and now she was dressing up a stone gargoyle in a transfiguration lesson. As a practical. Still, she wasn't incapable of doing it, so she went and fetched a handful of leaves to practice on.

Because she was going to assume she'd mess up a couple of times, because her intent wasn't nearly as present for this one. She was DRESSING UP a gargoyle. No actual drive for this one. Hmph. Bellaire. She was quite frankly glad she'd bitten the lady.

Anyway, though. Vests now, yeah? And.. and buttons. Beetle. Her eyes began glancing around for one of those, too.

Deciding not to think about that too much, Dylan moved onto the next spell. The good thing about it, too...was that it was a spell he was familiar with. He'd heard of turning rocks into dragons. Although, he'd never personally performed it himself.

That would explain the random rocks on the Professor's desk, too.

Skipping over that for later...because apparently Professor Bellaire was going to supervise that...Dylan decided to go ahead with expanding the inside of his tent...

Magnus Centrum.

Tap.

He remembered it clearly because it had been Professor Bellaire herself who'd taught it to him...Just last term...out by the lake. At night. There had been a story afterward...about Cinderella...

Yep.

Clearing his mind, Dylan took a deep breath and imagined the inside of the tent expanding and getting bigger...but not outwardly so. He pictured the ring getting wider...seats bigger, but the tent staying the same.

"Magnus Centrum!" TAP!

Now, to test and see if it worked...

Okay. Well, she hadn't spotted any beetles yet, so Alice was just going to start on the ridiculous vest bit first and worry about buttons later. It didn't need buttons, anyway, that was sillier than the idea of clothing it in general. Spell practice now, though, so no more silent whining. "Folium Induant." Wasn't the simplest incantation, and she took a good bit of time practicing it, too. "Folium Induant. Fo-li-um In-du-ant. Folium Induant." That sounded about right, yeah?

It sounded kind of funny on her tongue. Alice clucked her teeth a couple of times before trying it again, enunciating the pronunciation more clearly this time around. "Folium Induant. Fo-li-um In-du-ant. Folium induant." Much better. Then it was casting time again, and she had her wand in hand, ready for vest-making. And stuff.

"Folium Induant." Tap for you, leaf.

Cassirin 06-06-2013 03:31 AM

After retrieving his odds and ends, Mo quickly discovered that his spell HAD worked. He tucked three rings into the center of the tent, and they fit quite easily. Next, he leaned waaaaaaaaay inside to try to set up some ropes that might work as a tightrope or a trapeze. Hmm... he needed to work on that bit later. But considering half his body was in the tent, the spell was working just fine.

What else? Mo put a pale blue ball and a larger gold ball into his tent... good for a balancing act. And he had some material that could easily be used to swag the inside, making it more festive in there.

Now it was looking more circus-y. What next? Mo glanced at the board again... buttons? He ought to try the button spell, even if he wasn't sure what he'd do with buttons. With a shrug, Mo scuttled to the materials corner and picked out three fat beetles. In a pinch, he could attach them to the vest, although it was already so dapper and circus-y.

So it was settled that he'd TRY. Mo set the beetles on the desk, giving them a squint. The incantation wasn't too bad. "Bruchus puga. Bruchus puga." As always, he repeated it quietly until the words felt right in his mouth, and then Mo pointed his wand right at the first beetle. "Bruchus puga," he spoke clearly, but it must have been wrong, because the beetle just flipped off the desk. Okay. Try again, then.

"[b]Bruchus puga[/i]," he pointed his wand at the NEXT beetle, and this one turned into a sort of knobbly black button. But at least it WAS a button. One more try. "Bruchus puga." The last beetle turned into a shiny black button with four perfect holes. So.

Now he had a button.

DaniDiNardo 06-06-2013 03:34 AM

Lex made a face at the person who'd began protesting at her taking the extra leaf. Like dude, calm down, it was just a leaf and it would have looked better on her gargoyle anyway. Consider yourself ignored? Good good.

"Pay no attention gargoyle, he's just being rude. We have to get you dressed!" GRIN.

Lex looked to the board again just to remind herself of that vest spell. Folium induant. Okay sure, that was the spell. She was more interested in the type of vest. It was no secret that she didn't know fashion, that was obvious but she did know colour and she knew which one she liked. Blue. This didn't mean she'd settle for just any blue though. Nah, that was left for the tent. This needed some kind of sophisticated shading and thoughts of lighting, gradient, sheen--

Ehhh...

That sounded like a whole lot of extra focusing and concentration that she wouldn't have been able to pull off in the first place.

Regular blue it was. "Folium induant!"...AHEM, "Folium induant!" What the...? It was a vest, yeah, but that had to be the ugliest shade of blue she'd ever seen. Poke. Poke. Poke. Did the vest just move???? "Reverto!" And now she would try this again. Focus Lex. "Folium induant!"

YES! Success! "This will do!"

.. it was still a leaf. Meant to be a vest now, but it wasn't. Alice squinted at it and jabbed the thing with her wand purposefully until it tore down the middle. Dumb leaf. Was her intent not present enough? She glanced around at the other vests being made for a bit and then turned back to her little fistful of leaves spread across the desk. Intent. Okay. There was a leaf and she WANTED to make it into a costume because she WANTED to be able to do the spell and she WANTED to not suck at it.

There. Intent present.

"Folium Induant." Another tap, and there was a vest, one matching her ring and everything. Awesome. Next a button, and then she could figure out how to get her gargoyle into it, because she was not tearing this thing. She had, like, zero intent left. That would have been clever, though, wrapping the leaf around the gargoyle first before making vests and such.

Whatever, it was good enough. She'd sort it out after beetles.

DaniDiNardo 06-06-2013 04:01 AM

Oh, um, this was the part where she added the buttons, yes? The good thing about this being a magic class was that no on expected them all to pull out some needles and thread then sew these things on! Merlin, she could just see that happening if they were in muggle studies and that definitely wouldn't have gone over well. She have more holes in her fingers than stitches on the fabric.

Lex was about to reach over and grabbed a few from the same table next to her but quite suddenly the kid huddled everything up and pulled them out of her reach.

PFFFFT! She didn't want to use those beetles anyway! The one's on this other table were probably better and look at that, no whining student. There was a lesson to be learned here, learn it whiny kid who didn't like sharing leaves and beetles. ANYWAY, she'd managed to snag three beetles. That was all she needed.

"Bruchus puga!" Tap. Hey lookit! A light blue button!!!...Couldn't she just duplicate this one? What if she never got the same shade the next time she tried?? These were all things to consider you know!! Ugh, but she didn't suppose the Professor would have approved soooo... "Bruchus puga!" BAM! Another light blue one. Okay, last one. "Bruchus puga!" Woot! Three buttons just like that!

With a quick sticking charm she got the buttons on to the vest. NOW that was done too! Woot!

Princesspower 06-06-2013 12:01 PM

Now onto the clothes. Sarah was glad that at least at the Hogwarts circus the preformers wore clothes. Which was great, as at the muggle circus they seemed to run out of material half way through the outfit and the preformer goes on stage with the bare minimum.

Now her Greg was going to go on fully clothed thank you very much (even though a naked gargoyle was not as bad as seeing a scantily clad human, even a topless boy.

She said "folium induant", to her surprise she got it right the first time! This was strange for someone like Sarah\'s whose tongue was great at twisting and getings itself stuck in a muddle. So she got a leaf and placed it infront of her. With her wand she tapped it, and said "floium induant". Of course nothing happened as she had said the spell wrong.

This all meant that more practicing was due. "Fo-li-um In-du-ant" she said mouthing each sylabble with care. It was like getting her tongue aquainted with the word like saying tongue, meet this new word folium induant. "folium induant" she said a bit faster. "folium induant" was said even faster and eventually Sarah knew that she had it.

"folium induant" she said tapping the leaf again imaging the royal purple vest with white stars to match the tent. Sure enough the leaf soon changed and it became a vest. This time the stars were more symetrical then before
